  1. You left the game 6 seconds after being tazed, as proven by logs. This is your 5th offence for LTARP. On your next offence, I will recommend your ban length is heftily increased. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this ban to be reasonable and/or justified. Ensure you have read our Server Rules.

  2. Perma killed body's instead of being the normal half life 2 which i believe is boring and kind of repetitive, should be swapped for the corpse of the actual player i have seen this done before and it would be cooler for any detective RP to actually have a dead body Infront of him instead of the same corpse over and over. This makes a more immersive kill too, to see the recipient of the PK's actual corpse makes him more identifiable via witnesses too. Doing a whack in a public place carry's the risk of witnesses snitches etc, to have someone be able to point you out "hey that guy was walking with him when he got murdered" makes the hit way more risky anyway it also adds more investigation then just clicking the "E" key and seeing the name of the person of course that will still be the mechanic but it adds a bit more if the cop has IC knowledge of this person has seen them before or was aware of their whereabouts previous to their demise. That's the pro for the detective RP but there is a few cons to criminal roleplay which a lot of people would dislike but i think its more immersive as mafia roleplay has advanced you see a lot more stuff come around and the game get more immersive to the point you cant tell your playing a half life 2 source engine and it feels like you are playing a separate game i think this breaks away from the Garry's mod part of the game and makes it its special game mode i only see benefits to the experience. I cant imagine the code to this is of a lot of difficulty but i could be wrong. opinions?

  4. In-Game Name(s): David Belluci / "D.B." Steam Name: ZANbenim Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/ZANbenim/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:42683501 Discord Username: zanbenim Age: 30 When did you first join the server: 05/26 Total playtime on our Servers (Do !time in-game): 1mo 5d 1h 25m Time Zone: CST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 20+ hr a week. Have you read the rules?: Yes Do you have a working microphone?: Yes Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): Yes Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: No, but I can learn quickly. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer Questions proceeded with an asterix require a response of 3 Sentences Minimum. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: I've been in the city for quite a while, and I'm starting to feel a bit burned out from what I've been doing. I enjoy helping others, and I'd like to understand better how things run behind the scenes. I've been interested in applying for this role for some time, but I previously didn't have enough free time to dedicate myself to it, and I wasn't fully familiar with the rules. However, I believe I've gained enough experience and knowledge to be ready for the position now. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I'm always active during the dead hours when the server needs staff members the most, so I believe I could be helpful during those times. I'm able to stay active, help players when needed, and take my responsibilities seriously. I believe my activity and willingness to help others would make me a good fit for this role. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position, and how long): No. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: No. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I wouldn't say I'm a well-known person or anything like that. I'm just a chill guy who usually hangs out with his crew and enjoys roleplaying. I don't think the people who know me have any problems with me. I have a good reputation within my faction, and I get along well with the people who know me. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I had a lot of fun when one of the staff members ran a mini-event, spawning zombies and different monsters for us to shoot at. Luckily, there were no cops on, so we were able to do this "search-and-destroy" type RP with the fellas. We all had heavy guns and just walked around the map hunting down the monsters. Eventually, we took over the hardware store rooftop and just defended that position from the admin-spawned beasts. Late-night activity that saved us from boredom that night. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Boosted 21Schmeckles Yugi Lunar Gustavo ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If I'm off duty and not using my staff character, I would create a ticket just like any other player; however, if there are no other staff members online and the person is negatively affecting other players' roleplay, I would switch to my staff character and handle the situation properly. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do? If I see a staff member abusing their powers, I would make a staff report and explain what I've seen. If I have any evidence, I would include it as well. A member of your faction/friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDMing and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias? For me, my role obligations and friendships are two different things, and I know how to keep them separate. I would handle the situation the same way I would if the person wasn't my friend. I would listen to both sides, look at the evidence, and make a fair decision based on what actually happened. Just because someone is my friend doesn't mean I'm going to defend them if they're in the wrong. I believe it's important to stay fair and do what needs to be done, regardless of who the person is. Everyone slips up. Even our friends.

  5. Name of Character: Ben Pierce Character ID: 132166 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:136626662 Your Discord ID#: justghostman Date of PK: 11/5/26 Reason for PK: PK by Cops ■ Breaking Fear RP while being detained by Police. If the police are detaining you for a crime and you break FEAR rp by pulling a weapon on them the NYPD are still within their right to react in self defense. This can and will be considered initiating a violent confrontation with police EVEN if you never managed to fire the weapon. Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: You may NOT mug in front of NPCs as they are considered witnesses in RP. You may not bypass this rule by attempting to 'pull them away under FearRP in front of an NPC. Do not target people using NPCs/ATMs/Stashes. This includes camping. It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to blackmarket/illegal NPCs. Police do not "have knowledge" the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). Nor do they have knowledge of the existence of criminal stashes. I'm appealing my character's PK because I honestly don't think the situation was handled fairly, especially considering how everything happened from my perspective. I feel like I was put into a situation where I didn't really know what was going on, and by the time I realized what was happening, it had already escalated to the point where I ended up permanently losing my character. To explain what happened, I was moving some of my stuff from my ATM to my stash behind Little Italy. I had two guns on my back, an AKM and a Musket that I got from an event. Both were legally owned, and I was just trying to put them away. I ran across the street, noticed a cop over by the townhouses then got run over by two cars. In the clip too the cop was told by his Corporal that the suspect was wearing a Blue Basketball Jersey, and jumped over the fence to get to the Hula Stash. My character was wearing a full black suit, and full black fedora, completely voiding the actual description of the person they're searching for at the time. When I got there, somebody had a package sitting right in front of the stash, so I had to move farther into the bushes just to access it. The area was already pretty dark and covered by trees and bushes, so I wasn't exactly able to see everything going on around me. While I was trying to access it, I heard footsteps nearby. I didn't think much of it at first because of the package that was sitting there. I figured it was probably whoever owned the package coming back to grab it. Then I heard what sounded like a camera clicking, looked back over from my second monitor, and realized somebody was tying me up. At that point, I had no clue it was a cop. I thought somebody was trying to mug me while I was accessing my stash, which is why I started backing up and pulled my pistol. I genuinely thought somebody was about to take the guns I had on my back, and I wasn't about to just assume the person behind me was law enforcement when I hadn't even seen them approach. I know pulling my pistol made the situation worse, but I wasn't intentionally trying to pull a gun on a cop. I didn't even know he was there until I noticed I was being restrained. That's the part I feel is being overlooked. Apparently, from what I've been told afterward, the cop was searching for an active shooter who had shot another officer. He came down a ladder, "saw" me with guns on my back, and watched me go into the bushes where my stash was. I can understand why he would've been suspicious of somebody carrying guns while looking for an active shooter, but I don't understand what actually connected me to the shooting. I wasn't shooting anybody, I didn't have either of the guns on my back drawn, and I wasn't doing anything other than moving my stuff into storage. Was there an actual description of the shooter that matched me? Did somebody identify me as the person involved? Or was it just because I happened to have guns on my back? That's what I'm confused about, because from my perspective I was just minding my own business and suddenly somebody was trying to tie me up. The server also has a rule stating: "You may NOT mug in front of NPCs as they are considered witnesses in RP. You may not bypass this rule by attempting to 'pull them away under FearRP in front of an NPC. Do not target people using NPCs/ATMs/Stashes. This includes camping." This is why I originally thought somebody was trying to mug me. I was literally in the middle of accessing my stash when somebody came up behind me and started restraining me. I had no reason at the time to think it was a cop, especially with how dark and covered up the area was. I know now that he was supposedly looking for an active shooter, so I'm not saying he was definitely camping the stash. But I still think it's worth looking into whether he decided to target me because I was using it. There's also the police metagaming rule: "It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to blackmarket/illegal NPCs. Police do not 'have knowledge' the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). Nor do they have knowledge of the existence of criminal stashes." This is another thing that doesn't really make sense to me. If the officer watched me go into the bushes and access my stash, how would he know what I was doing? The rules specifically say police don't have knowledge of criminal stashes. I'm not saying that simply seeing me go into the bushes is metagaming. What I'm questioning is whether the officer used the fact that I was accessing a stash as a reason to approach or restrain me. If he did, I don't see how that would be allowed under the rule. Something else I want to mention is the actual communication during the situation. In the Medal clip, the officer starts saying "You are..." and then just stops talking. I didn't hear a complete explanation of what was happening at that moment, and considering I already had no idea who was behind me, that didn't exactly help me understand the situation. If I had known it was a cop trying to detain me, I would've at least understood what was going on. Instead, I thought some random person was trying to rob me in the bushes while I was using my stash. The screenshots I provided show how covered up the area was. Between the fence, the bushes, and everything else around the stash, it was difficult to see somebody approaching, especially from behind. I also had to move farther into the bushes because the package was blocking the stash, which made the visibility even worse. I feel like this is important because the situation is being looked at as if I knowingly pulled a gun on an officer, when that's not what happened from my perspective. I didn't see him come down the ladder, didn't know about the active shooter situation, and didn't realize the person tying me up was a cop. I reacted because I thought somebody was trying to mug me, not because I wanted to start shooting at police. I'm also confused about why the whole situation resulted in a PK instead of just a normal death. Even if the officer had a reason to defend himself after I pulled my pistol, does that automatically mean my character deserves to be permanently killed? I feel like there's a difference between a confrontation ending in somebody dying and the situation actually meeting the requirements for a PK. I'm not saying I made the perfect decision by drawing my pistol. I know that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I made that decision based on what I thought was happening at the time. I didn't have the same information the officer apparently had, and I don't think it's fair to judge my reaction as if I did. What I want staff to look into is why the officer decided to restrain me in the first place, whether he had any actual reason to connect me to the active shooter, whether my stash had anything to do with his decision, and what specifically justified permanently killing my character. I'm not trying to get out of every consequence of what happened. I understand that RP has consequences, and I'm fine with that when they're justified. But I genuinely don't think this situation should've ended with me permanently losing my character without everything leading up to it being considered. I was moving two legally owned guns into my stash, got caught off guard by somebody trying to tie me up, thought I was being mugged, and reacted without knowing it was a cop. That's why I'm appealing. I feel like the whole thing came down to a misunderstanding, and I don't believe my character should be permanently killed over it without a proper review of both sides. I'd appreciate staff looking over the Medal clip, screenshots, and whatever logs are available before making a final decision on whether the PK was justified. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: Medal Clip: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/nS5z3vkRX00O5caIR?invite=cr-MSwzWFYsNDA0NDQ3NTcz

  8. Your Name: Rabbi Sean "Oompa" Goldman SteamID: STEAM_0:0:510127992 Staff Member involved: Calink What was blacklisted from you?: my pet flags Reason for blacklist (if given): Why should it be returned?: So I was building last night and I was trying to build a tree house for a block party that was gonna be a event for my crew I was told to move it to harbor and so I did (No warning was issued). Now I do know I have had notes in past and my pet flags removed like 2 years ago which i did take seriously and havent gotten notes since. I have asked for permission for this build for my block party event and as I was working on it Calink the admin that stripped it from me did not even give me a warning and just stripped my pet flags from me causing me to fall from a height which i did lose my firearm and did not get back (I was given it back just want to edit it here) now I am just super confused on why it was stripped out right instead of getting a note I feel like this is completely unfair and I should get my pet flags back because I REALLY need my pet flags to run my events for my faction.

(Unless you have posted a valid LOA): yes i do Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: no I'm a Fast learner I'll pick it up fast Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: YES ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer Questions proceeded with an asterix require a response of 3 Sentences Minimum. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My motivation for applying for staff is to help the community with the simple questions and the more complex problems people may have during their day-to-day playing on the server. I played the server for a very long time now, and I understand how the server works for criminal and legal RP. When staff is needed, many staff members refuse to take tickets, even tickets just to spawn a locker and put it in a corner. It's understandable for admins getting tired of doing PK tickets, but if I was able to prove myself. * Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I've played for a while now I understand what people can be confused about the little things and the bigger things for both sides of RP I'll be more attentive to people than others even if someone is wanting to yell and scream in a staff * Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): No I have no previous staff experience Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: My very first ban was for no intent to roleplay and cop baiting. When I first joined the server, I did not expect myself to come back and actually play the server seriously. So, I acted like a retard, which, looking back, was not very smart. All that did was harm the community and ruin the experience for other people. My second ban was for mass raiding. That's when I started playing the server more seriously, but I still acted like I was a moron. Nothing can excuse that behavior. My most recent ban was for metagaming. What happened was that I was going to sell my meth to the NPC at the car dealership when I saw my friend getting picked up by two strangers. He was saying, "Put me down," but staff deemed that I was metagaming. I am truly sorry for the things I've done. I'm a lot more mature than I was a couple of months ago, and I understand that my past actions negatively affected the community and other players' experiences. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: Many members like and dislike me. Some like me because they see that I bring good RP and a fun experience when I'm around. People that know me can vouch that I do /me to bring more RP into a scenario, like picking up a cup or scooching a chair in after I just got out of it. But there's many people that I have wronged in my past that may still have ill opinions about me, and I wish to change that and prove to them I'm not the person that I was before in the past. * What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: My favorite moment in Diverge was a huge event when Pendred gave a Russian Super Admin for helping him code something, and they gave everyone crazy guns, ray guns, and spawned in a bunch of NPCs to fight. It lasted for about an hour. Another moment was when I got made in my very first criminal faction. It's a very special moment that everyone will hold when they get made into a family. When I helped a GM named Yugi during his event, he was a criminal who kidnapped a Cassano-made person, and I had to help him hold down the Harbor from the Cassanos. It was an all-out firefight. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Dong, Kwel, siips, Yugi, wickers3. ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would get on my staff character I would then get their Steam ID pull them to a sit Check how many hours they have if they are fairly newer with only a couple hours I would tell them to go read the rules and give them a note or verbal but If they have more than a couple of days and they know what they are doing Then I would note them But if they have prior RDM notes or bans Then I would ban them for the according amount of time of what they did. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would take clips of them doing these actions. I would make a UA ticket to report them or send it to Canadian or Pendred. Staff abuse is not fair to the community in any way, shape, or form. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? I would not take the ticket because of bias, which can get me in trouble and get that person who made the ticket, which is my friend, in trouble as well. I would contact another staff member and ask them if they can take the ticket. But if I was the only staff member on, I would take the ticket, get both sides, get clips, check damage logs, and get a second opinion from a staff member of a higher or the same rank as me. That's how I would handle the situation.

  12. Hello, Id like to suggest for unblacklisting food items because currently half is available to spawn and half is not, we do food roleplays and chefs construct their special dishes rather than putting same old edible slop in a plateless table, but its heavily restricted due to half of it being unavailable to them. Its RP server afterall theres nothing wrong with prop foods aslong as it elevates the RP. Some examples on what can be done with them.

  16. First off, I don’t inherently disagree with punishment given out here. You should not be building sort of floating buildings or something similar. And you should especially not be blocking entrances to areas like you did. But all of your previous prop related offenses are from 2-3 years ago, not anytime recently, so I’m willing to give you one last chance. Don’t do this again

  22. I'd like to suggest adding an Advanced Drug Processor as an upgrade to the current processor sold at the Barge. At the moment, the standard processor can only handle one brick or barrel at a time and takes around 5 minutes to complete. This means processing larger amounts becomes very repetitive, as players have to constantly reload the machine and wait through multiple cycles. My suggestion is an Advanced Drug Processor that can hold up to 5 bricks or barrels at once. To keep it balanced, it should cost significantly more than the standard processor and require Oil Barrels as fuel to operate. It could also produce a slight humming noise while running, making it easier for others to locate but also maskable via HiFi's or Cassette Players. Rather than processing 5 items in the same time as 1, a full batch could take around 20 minutes to complete. This would still save time compared to processing 5 items individually, while avoiding a massive boost to drug production. I don't see this as a profit buff as much as a quality-of-life improvement. It would reduce the repetitive nature of processing large amounts of drugs while still requiring a significant investment and ongoing fuel costs to operate. As an additional balancing measure, the processor could have durability that decreases with use. Once it reaches a certain point, players would need to maintain or repair it before continuing to use it. This would add another cost to operating the machine and help keep it balanced.

  23. Hello banning staff here, Looking over the clips, the reason I issued the ban was because this wasn't just one failed mugging, it happened multiple times against multiple different players. The forum rules for PKs actually explain why. Before anything else, the rules state that you must first properly initiate a mugging. None of the interactions I reviewed met that requirement. Instead, you went straight to attempting restraints without properly initiating the mugging. The same section of the rules also lists failing to properly initiate a mugging and mass mugging as invalid scenarios, both of which apply to your case. Because this happened repeatedly across multiple players, I viewed it as Mass Fail Mugging rather than a single individual incident, which is why I issued the two week ban. Though the explanation above speaks about PK rules specifically, your intent, from what it seemed like, was intentional and negative, because for you to be able to walk around and troll others should not be acceptable, at least not in this form.

  24. I know this guy. He’s an absolute fucking troll, and anyone who’s interacted with him knows that. Half the time he’s just trying to get a reaction out of people. But when it actually matters, he knows how to flip that switch and be serious. Sure, his history of notes and bans isn’t the greatest, but I’ve also seen him mature over time. A lot of the best players on Diverge weren’t perfect when they first started either. People learn, and I genuinely think he’s one of those people. He’s a great person to be around, lighthearted, approachable, and understanding. I think he’d be someone who’s willing to listen, learn, and take feedback rather than let his ego get in the way. Coachable staff are some of the best staff because they’re always improving, and I think he’d fit that category. Good luck, akhi. I think you’d do well
