  1. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this ban to be reasonable and/or justified. Ensure you have read our Server Rules.
  2. Hi, The larger issue is that you killed two police officers, and then disconnected from the server 3 minutes later. In some circumstances, this would be grounds for a PK, so you are lucky if anything. Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with Police can lead to a PK. Killing or attacking an Officer after initiating a violent confrontation leaves you PK active from officers for about 15 minutes. In terms of the RDM angle: You may attack Officers if they attempt to Arrest/Detain you or a member of your group, knowing that an arrest or detainment would lead to a FELONY charge (Having illegal guns/drugs/etc.) You are PK active after shooting/killing an officer. If the player who's F3 you had was already gone, then there is no arrest or detainment in progress, and killing the cops would be considered RDM. In this case, it would be possible to look past that, as you had taken a risk by killing two police officers and there was also prior context, but you then disconnected to avoid any potential consequences of what you had done, which tells me you did not fully intend to accept the risks. You have prior notes for RDM, RDM on cops, and LTARP - with all of this in mind I, and the other staff whom I discussed this with, believe the ban is fair. I believe you have about 12 hours remaining on your ban, so you can make it up to Kosher and Lee soon enough.

  4. Hi You have previously somewhat appealed this case via a Commissioner Ticket, in which Dong, who is both PD commissioner and a Seasoned Administrator, denied your request to overturn the blacklist. A few other things worth noting: Hoovis is correct that you would require staff approval for any and all force pleas, this is to prevent powergaming, and is generally handled quite quickly and efficiently by the staff team. Hoovis is however not completely right about the 30 minutes thing - the requirement to undergo the force plea process is a player who will not comply nor interact with the arrest/cells rp Regardless, a staff member must be involved in every force plea. Furthermore, it is commonplace to recieve a blacklist *and* a ban - Just as it is common to recieve a PK and a ban for, say, mugging character. It is not one or the other. In terms of your latest response, you can make a staff report via the forums, too, if you feel necessary. With the opinions of other members of staff, and the decision made by Dong in mind, we will be denying this appeal, and the ban and blacklist will remain.
  5. This has been suggested and denied like 10 times, I swear
  6. Faction lock to my knowledge started being used in the UA vs Commission war last year, but maybe it was a thing prior, I wouldn't know. Basically it keeps things fair in conflict. In Supreme v Popov's case, I think it's fair to say if there was no faction lock both of their alliances (and wider friends) would be mass creating characters in their faction, and then the conflict becomes 'who has more friends who can effectively mugging char them to victory' I don't know the official 'ruleset' behind its use in conflict, but for us, we had a 24/48 hour hiring and ordering period when escalation ended before the war began, I can't remember if that was intentional or not. But yeah, the lock makes it fair - if you are a main character who truly supports and works for your faction, it's on you to show up and fight, not a bunch of alt's. I think the more interesting thing for you to look at are the upcoming escalation levels you guys can reach. It get's pretty hardcore on your lower guys economy.

    Andy Ban Appeal

Hi, With things like this it is often a case-by-case. With this one, it would seem fair to me to say that the TM did not necessarily invite conflict in the first place. The conflict begins with the gun pointing, which was minor, but worth bringing up in RP. He does so, and I would imagine had the other player simply walked off, the situation would have ended at that. Instead the verbal disrespect and further conflict ensues which is then followed by physical melee'ing and an eventual shootout. This is somewhat commonplace in the server. I will mention though that the repeated forcing open of the door is not really acceptable behavior here. In many cases, that could be seen as RDM baiting. With the prior context though, which makes the initial intent of the TM clear in my eyes, it's not a massive game changer. This previously mentioned rule was brought up without mentioning the final line: However if someone continues to disrespect you, you may physically intimidate or hit them. (Fists, melee weapon) As continued disrespect could realistically start a fight. The user then has free choice on how to respond/retaliate. If they choose to flee you may not kill them. There have been a few other relevant rules thrown around in the thread so far, but I would point both involved players to these rules, also: (Disclaimer: Initiating arguments just to attack someone when they return your insults or taking any comment as an insult and immediately escalating to hitting them can be considered baiting as proper escalation / the spirit of the rule is not being followed) and Generally you shouldn't invite conflict then try to hide behind the rules when you're killed. This can also be considered baiting as described under killing rule 6. Intentionally instigating someone or goad them into breaking a rule. Both players invite conflict in different ways throughout this situation though, and overall it feels fairly balanced. Could the TM have done better? Yes, but the other player could also have simply apologized for pointing his gun, or walked into his property without comment. With all of this in mind, it seems like naturally occurring player conflict and I don't believe a ban was necessary for this, thus the ban will be lifted shortly. I'd recommend everyone involved scrubs up on the killing and escalation rules anyway, for good measure.

  9. Hi This is actually your 8th overall LTARP offense, which is honestly impressive and how you ended up with only 3d on your ban, I don't know - lucky! Jennay is correct, you left to avoid the situation. You were baited by Detectives into turning up to a phony hit/gun deal, and upon realizing this you disconnected. This is blatantly Leaving To Avoid Roleplay. Furthermore, the rules state: that the "majority of the time common sense applies. Do not try to look for loopholes in the rules." - This is one of those cases. 15. Do not LTAP/LTARP. If you initiate an RP situation or are in an Admin sit you may be punished if you decide to leave the game/switch characters to avoid punishment/roleplay - as you can see LTARP is a much more general rule than you are trying to imply. Please read over the Server Rules properly before returning to the server. Have a good one.
  10. I mean you are a fucking disabled veteran? she should wait on you hand and foot whilst you larp and prop abuse, if you ask me #freemikebrown

    PET Flag Appeal

Hi Bullets is entirely correct in pointing out that the server has no "minge hours" or "off-peak" time in which more leniency is (or should be) given to rule breaks. The server is there for roleplay, at all hours, and many players are trying to roleplay and enjoy themselves at these times, too. A lower number of players/staff does not open the door to break rules, and it shows a disregard for the rules that other players ensure they stick to. With all that being said, we tend to stick to a 1 warning system with PET flag abuse, and you have not received a note/warning for this prior to your blacklist. The decision has been made to accept your appeal. Please make sure you are following the rules at all times when connected to the server, and on your next PET related offense you will likely receive a blacklist.
