I have thought about it many times over the last 2ish years i have played the city. Over that time I have learned the rules of the city and feel like I could be a good staff member. But if I'm doing some Role play i would finish it and take the ticket if no one has not taken it already. If it turns in to mass rdm I would stop what i am doing at take the ticket. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?:I would get Info like clips ect of what they are doing. If i find anything that i think could be brought up to ua or higher up staff member I would inform them. If nothings found or there's not enough info i would just let them know i have seen them doing it and let them investigate. Does it constitute possible bias?I would avoid the ticket to avoid bias if I knew that this person was in my faction or friend, this will help people get the most fair ruling rather than something that can come off biased. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * Mainly because I enjoy this community, the people in it and the server itself and want to do more for the community and server by applying myself and previous staffing experience to further learn and apply on diverge. I wish to become apart of the staff to also help take care of the server, it's rules and the players and believe I can fit into the team as well as being an even more helpful active member of the community knowing most of the people, I want to also be able to assist the team and people in any way shape or form in the role of a staff member and take it to the next level. When i started playing diverge I had about just under 2k hours on gmod.. Now I got 5k hours... I thoroughly enjoy this community, server and the people and want to be able to help, experience a new aspect. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I do bring experience with me, having previously staffed in other servers, other games as well as owning some myself. I have developed a positive rapport with a lot of the other active members of the community and understand the fine lines and boundaries related to the rules. I would call my self a peoples person able to deal with situation respectfully and professionally, particularly conflict resolutions. I am someone who is understanding and can be diplomatic, however assertive when required especially in dealing with problems and tickets, able to put biases aside and mitigate them as best as I can and my foot down regardless if they are friends or not- ensuring to conduct my responsibilities correctly and as how they should be conducted. I can dedicate a lot of time and able to communicate clearly and be responsible. Having played on this server for a long while, meeting old players from before Diverge and current ones, I am able to say I can get along with them and use my skills and past experiences to assist in enforcing the rules whilst keeping a good rapport with the people - which I believe allows me to be more effective when dealing with issues. In addition, I have a good foundational understanding of the rules, knowing what to do, when to do it and how to do it if at all permissible. Being friendly and interacting with many other staff members, I would say I have a good relation with some of those on the team and hope to also build even better relations with others too. From my time playing, I am someone who was banned a lot at the start of my time on diverge, however overtime I've put actual intent and motivation to read the rules and play within them. I able to be a team player and not hesitate to reasonably assist or ask for assistance and take my role seriously as there is a huge amount of responsibility riding on us to fulfil our responsibilities which I understand and aim to adhere to. In addition I do play with malicious intent, so I am approachable and ready to assist. I am someone who is a quick learner, being able to learn from mistakes and get better. If so, why?: Yes, I had quite the extensive history mostly related to RDM (most of them were accidental might I add...anywho kidding aside), RDM POs, one for failRP, exploiting (which were promptly raised as bugs to staff), and an old one for powergame and NITRP if i recall correctly. Quite a few of these bans had unbans issued after appealing as some were mistakes or unjust. There were a few times it was warranted and the long breaks showed me I do want to be involved in the server and not muck about. My most recent ban was 2x RDM including RDM in a sit, after someone rage baiting actually managed to make me rage (rare right?) however since returning we blessed it up and moved on. They laughed at me and taunted me for getting a ban and it got to me. Not proud of it. Made it only worse for myself. And I learnt a lesson that day, not to get rage baited.. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I would say I am well known in the community. I am known to be a civilian and judge character main. People are aware that I am able to provide them with assistance related to Legal RP as a lawyer/advisor or other RP that involves getting people out of arrests... cleaning things up... being a middle man in sourcing goods, clothing or products... being a test dummy for their new hired... security services... knowledge about other things related to court, law, rp, server rules etc... providing other goods or services whilst maintaining a good rapport and getting paid. In addition people know me for having good and funny spontaneous RP based on whatever is happening around us, whether it is opening up certain shops for clothing/moonshine... doing construction work... or other unique RP scenarios. As well as assisting in their clothes or build designs, giving input etc. As a casual player who can be serious when required, I believe I can be viewed someone who is dependable related to certain situations, particularly by allies. I built rapport, trust and respect with many people and intend to do so with whomever I may. I tend to avoid places that do very serious RP events to not infringe on the RP going on. Those factions and players I am close with I tend to spend more time around them, however when asked to leave or when serious things are going on (drug trades etc) I most certainly oblige. I would say people are aware I know my boundaries and am respectful.. but they are also aware if prompted will fight back. I can be classed as annoying at times, and it is fair dos as sometimes it happens and people would ban me from places, but we eventually kiss and make up afterwards for it is not in my intention to be a nuisance and people know it's more so "harmless" annoyance. All in all I would hope people find me respectful, fun and an interesting person to be around. A few may view me goofy/silly at times (within reasonable grounds of the on going RP and rules of the server). With those I am close with we may goof around between us however it is within the rules and can be humorous. Essentially good times, good laughs and good events. I will state at the start of my time here I was more so disliked than liked, particularly being labelled as a cop baiting minge. But with time and effort I can happily say thank god that things have changed for the better, and people have given me a chance which I have taken and accepted and hopefully returned the favour. They allowed me into their circles - entrusted me with a lot which normal civilians would certainly not be privy too and that they trust me - for I am not a man who intends to break their word or bond. (of course if it serious in that it is an active MRDM situation then i'd switch over immediately and deal with it). You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would say this could certainly constitute as 'possible' Bias. Unfortunately bias exists in all that we do whether intentionally or unintentionally and regarding the dealing of bias, I believe a more preventative approach can be ideal, for example I would avoid taking such tickets unless absolutely necessary, and will communicate with other staff who are online and request for them to deal with it to mitigate potential bias ensuring to raise potential conflict of interest/bias to ensure the ticket is dealt with appropriate and justly. If it becomes a case where I must deal with the ticket, then I shall - ensuring my actions are just and appropriate regardless if they are close friends or not ensuring to attempt biases do not influence my decisions.

I'm popular on my main Ali Abbas Hussein who's known mostly as the chill cop for a long time the only people that ever really disliked me are arrestee's who spent almost an hour cop baiting an complain that they have felony charges berceuse's of their actions, In PD I was seen as incompetent by the IA section which led to a lot of cursing me out on discord which I ignored. The reason was because I fired an officer that was one of their friends for cursing me out their supervisor (it was my first or 2nd day which did look bad), But that's the most controversy I've ever gotten into on this server and it was weeks ago so I doubt they still feel that way in IA. While our hierarchy is based on La Cosa Nostra, this isn't just some 'Mafia' faction. We aim to correctly portray an authentic, tight-knit group of hard working Italian American's who decided to join this life out of need, not want. A real community with different sets of culture, values, and identity. who allegedly happen to be involved in organized crime. Our faction is built around a small family from New Jersey, not New York and especially not Sicily. We're not glorifying the 'Mafia' or the 'Old Country' or by using exaggerated tropes. We're directly roleplaying second- and third generation Italian-Americans, sons of construction workers, delimen, and union guys who grew up together, bonded primarily by neighborhood loyalty, and slowly becoming part of something larger then the race themselves. This is a family, where people go to church, eat dinner together on Sundays, and call each others mothers 'ma'. That sense of family and tradition of Italian-American's trying to become more 'American' through trial and error. We're devoutly committed to cultural and community rp, as I said earlier, not just criminal RP. One of our long-term goals is to involve the small businesses or organizations made by players in our roleplay, such as Construction companies that can shut down area's for construction through RP, painting companies, and the Italian American Civil Rights League, creating interactions with local leaders in New York and the regional government. This allows us to emphasize more on themes that are often forgotten about, such as ethnic identity, police harassment, and pride, while directly giving the faction more depth and legitimacy. We're not here to dominate South Side or start wars, directly or indirectly. At it's heart again, the DeCavalcante faction is about family, in every sense of that word. Being a hangaround for some time, doing small tasks like being a body guard for someone, driving affiliated members around, transporting items we need, and even buying things we need, before finally getting associated with our family. Structure wise, we completely adhere to the traditional mafia hierarchy, but we treat every rank with realistic responsibility and weight. Promotions are based solely on IC merit, devout loyalty, and character development. We're not nepotistic, giving out ranks to every single one of our friends. Everything is earned ICly, and absolutely nothing is rushed. We're committed to long-term characters, realistic progression, and in-depth politics. Our main goal, regardless of how much we're able to effect this, is to bring back serious RP. Hello! Phones are pretty useless once you get out of the stage of doing random street deals, i personally used one again for the first time today after probably over a year and it got me thinking. I have a few ideas that could make phones more usable. 1. A voice mail system. If your phone call doesn't get answered of connected, allow for a short message to be sent. These can be seen by the person your attempting to call when they next log on, giving them your number and your message. 2. Landlines. This ties in with the first idea a little. Allow business to have a landline phone within their property. They will be able to publicly advertise this number to allow for example, reservations of tables as restaurants, placing orders for firearms at gun stores and stock checks at clothing stores. 3. This idea is a little ambitious but a sim system. Allow users to purchase sim cards to get new numbers instead of buying a whole new phone each time. This can be a physical item that can be swapped in and out of phones. This could allow for more in-depth detective role play if a phone was used in the commission of a crime. As many of you may have noticed, there has been a noticeable rise in criminal activity committed solely for the purpose of obtaining felony status and gaining access to certain benefits. I agree with the benefits, as felons can no longer legally own a firearm license or carry a firearm without committing a crime. However, there should be a system in place that allows criminal faction members to access those same products and equipment without having to rely on receiving a felony charge. The Idea: - Felons receive a 25% or 50% discount on products that were previously locked behind felony status; - Felons receive +1 extra unit when crafting equipment that was previously felon-locked. These products and equipment also become available for criminal factions to purchase or craft, without requiring felony status.

+1 Allholyheaven has a wealth of experience on the server, is commited to gainful RP and overall having a jersey themed crime family is creative and will add flavor to the server. Honestly, everyone says they are sick of Italian factions, yet the only ones around are the ones that have been around from the beginning. The newly made factions always seem to be non italian and it is rare that they stick around. I have lost count at how many black and muslim factions that have been made over the years. And they never seem to last. Not to mention the name is 1980s mafia rp. And it takes place in New York. To new players that have never heard of Mafia RP and is their first time to the server, I guarantee they will be thinking the same thing that I did when I joined. Italian Mafia. Just because I would also be a staff member doesn't mean I should just be able to switch characters and abuse power and instantly escalate the situation. There's multiple staff members for a reason. But another scenario would be if I were to be RDM'd and it was late at night with zero staff members on duty. Then I think it is appropriate to take the matter into my own hands as there is nobody else that could realistically do anything at the moment in time. What server rule or PK rule was violated?: During this entire situation I was undergoing connectivity issues, lag out problems happening consistently. I have been unfortunately dealing with this issue since joining the server, but nevertheless still play throughout it. Upon this altercation happening I disconnected/lagged out unintentionally multiple times, and as I was attempting to rejoin the already full server, I was still dealing with these issues. Once I was able to reconnect my char was unable to use his hands due to somehow being put in restraints, I voiced this to individuals I was playing with and then unfortunately lagged out again once a swarm of PD arrived. Then once I reconnected for a third time, an individual that I had spoken to in game about being in restraints then proceeded to kill my char to release him from restraints. After this I attempted to get in contact with an admin but instead was teleported by an admin to the police that waited in front of the DD and then was taken into custody. I attempted to explain my connectivity issue expressing concern for this first and foremost because I would not intentionally want to exit out of my game, especially on a server I have come to frequently play on. After discussions with the PD and asking for a lawyer, my char was pulled into a sit down with an admin where I attempted to explain my situation but was gagged shortly after. The individual who killed my char to release him from restraints was then pulled into questioning along with me but I was unable to communicate with him and anybody around me due to still being gagged. Unknowingly, we joined into a disc to talk to each other in an attempt to see if I was able to communicate in game. Once the admin noticed we were in a discord call I was immediately banned for: 2 days Metagaming/ Fail RP/ LTARP. After taking an extra 2 days off of this ban I attempted to rejoin under this char because I was under the impression it was only a 2 day ban but was notified by a different admin I was PK'd due to avoiding arrest. I did not ever intentionally try to avoid arrest nor to my recollection have caused any concerning issues on the Diverge Server. Unfortunately I do not have any clips, or any other proof outside of the screenshot I was given for the 2 day ban notice.

Jmoorsey, Honestly as you're constantly spamming tickets with 'former staff btw' you should know better as a former staff member! You "attacked the wrong person" and then attempted to rdm the guy with the hammer and got you killed, even if there was a clip to prove it was not rdm due to some what reason, you still broke NLR and you returned to the scene with your bike within 2 minutes to intentionally run them over and you were laughing about it! Don't think you should be unbanned and consider yourself lucky that it was only a 3d ban you received 3 notes in a span of 5 days. When your ban expires maybe do not behave like a total minge you definetly should know better as someone who was former staff Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. Hi! PK'ing admin here. So, as you broke down already the officer came on to your property to detain you and question you. This is valid as the officer visibly watched you shoot the car. While detaining you, a friend of yours pulls out your weapon and aims it at the officer. This lead to a valid kill by the officer. This was a separate violent conflict from yours. On to your and why you were PK'd. While you may defend your friends from other citizens, criminal factions etc, that does not apply to officers the same way. Their conflict was over and then you chose to fire your weapon at the officer starting your own confront with him. You inevitably lost that gun fight and died leading to your PK.

Shortly after there was noise in the bathroom, someone opened the window and came in, then gunfire and tazers went off. The house had the door kicked in and the officer (Garcia) shot me and killed me. The alley way next to the town house had shooting involved and then the officers kicked down the door. As soon as I see officer Garcia I was instantly gunned down. It felt a little fishy the way he snapped onto me. The person we were trying to mug and should've ended up dead, however there is a high chance the person who we mugged and killed called the cops on us using nlr information to fuck us over. More so, it's possible his two bodyguards broke nlr and tried to use meta information to bait the police into the situation. In a fashion that wasn't organic in nature. OK OK SO… He has a very bad past but can be serious and unbiased when need be. I think since most don’t have such a pleasant experience with him, he should be given a couple of chances to try and show that he can be a good staff member. Surprisingly, he can role play (i know crazy right) but I mean he is a judge and can AT LEAST contribute to some sort of role play. If anything.. this staff app could be sitting here for a while which could give him some time to show that he can do much more rp than what most people see. +1

-1 Extensive POs, Knows the rules well but clearly doesn't follow them. He seems to have a commitment to rage bait and annoy people. Having him as staff would only reinforce him doing this. Personally seen him prop abuse, break NLR ( and Im talking within the span of the last few days. Not Like three months ago) and with the exception of his judge and cop characters that he spends little time on, his main character was literally made with the intent to be a minge. I think he needs to prove himself over a long period of time that he can respect the people of the community he claims to love, and actually commit himself to RP and gaining friends instead of burning bridges. Anyway, the main issue with this pk is 1 thing. There *might* be some disagreements about the timing of the fear RP and the timing of him pulling a gun; which came first, but frankly he had guns on him and they were obviously there to mug him and he knew that and he took the risk. Maybe there's a discussion to be had about it, but it's irrelevant. The only thing that is an issue here is one of the muggers is a minge character. The only RP he actually partakes in is baiting cops and shooting them. This appeal is accepted.

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: I believe I should be un-PK'd as the situation that my character was killed over was a complete accident and I did not initiate actual combat. I don't dispute that I pulled out the weapon and it was generally pointed in the direction of Senior Officer Benedetto Porcello but this was an accident, and as is evident in the Clip below I immediately put the weapon away and made *no* attempt to attack or threaten the officer. It is blatantly clear that no genuine attempt was made to initiate combat on my part, but despite this the Officer immediately escalates the situation by gunning me down (Once again, after my gun is already away and there is absolutely no threat to his life). Furthermore, the situation that lead to me PK happened on the 15th of July, it is now the 17th and my character has only been killed tonight. I was told adamantly on the 15th during a sit with Yuki that I would not be getting PK'd because it was clear that the situation was an accident. Although I don't believe the original reason is valid either, I also believe it is extremely unfair to wait two whole days before acting on this despite previous staff members who were looking after the situation stating that it was not PK'able and that I had nothing to worry about. Had this just been decided at the time I would take no issue but leaving me ignorant to the seemingly ongoing debate over my character potential PK was unfair, especially considering when the PK did eventually go through I was left totally unaware until I got onto the game and found out myself. To conclude, the actual PK aside the time it took and lack of genuine communication around my characters death was very disappointing.
