I was originally banned for 4 days for leaving a roleplay situation to avoid RP. I understand why I was punished for that and I’m not trying to dispute the original ban. Looking back, I should have stayed in the situation and dealt with the RP instead of leaving. That was my mistake, and I apologize for it. The reason I ended up permanently banned was because, while I was serving that 4 day ban, my roommate was also playing on the server from the same dorm as me. Since we were sharing the same internet connection, I understand why the console may have flagged the accounts as ban evasion or an attempt to bypass my ban. However, I was not the person playing on the other account, and I was not attempting to bypass my punishment. We were simply in the same dorm room and using the same network. I understand that this probably looks suspicious from the server's perspective, but I wanted to clarify what actually happened. I take responsibility for the original rule break and understand that I deserved the temporary punishment I received. What I’m asking staff to reconsider is the permanent ban that resulted from the other account being detected on the same connection. Why should you be unbanned? - I enjoy playing Diverge and would genuinely appreciate another chance to play on the server. If the permanent ban could be reduced back to the original punishment, or replaced with another temporary punishment that staff feels is appropriate, I would accept that. +1 I have a soft spot for cartels due to my first faction in Diverge being DVN. When Cartels work they work really well. I think this app is definitely one of the better ones, and wish you all the best. PRO - I really enjoyed the backstory, was very well written, loved the formatting/font usage etc. - The video was a nice move, great to see. The interview one was a bit lengthy though. I'd of made it a bit snappier, maybe added some distortion/CRT effects over the top, either way awesome to see something out of the box. - Good play time. - Enjoyed the accents in the video, I hope you'll encourage more members to adopt it. - I enjoy the diverse nationality. Neutral - I'm not a big fan of the 'hidden' approach. I always see applications time and time again about 'moving in the shadows', 'professional businessmen' etc. I for once would love to see a faction application that is straight up 'we intend to dress like cartel members and just be violent for violence sake.' CON - Very light con. Whilst I enjoyed your food truck idea, I definitely think you could've given us at least another RP idea that is specifically cartel related. As well as your cigar lounge, I can see this very quickly becoming 'standing around security RP'. You could've written something up about having new hires move prop bricks from a boat back to HQ or something like that.

-1 I rarely speak out this strongly against giving someone another chance, but in this case, I feel it's necessary. Attached I've sent the recent DMs he sent me during the time to which I banned him. Besides that I'd like to say this. While he wasn't the worst staff member we've had, the team is currently running smoothly without him. We shouldn't lower our standards just to add more bodies. This is the Diverge of today, not a few years ago. He was recently banned and continues to disagree with the reasoning behind it. In his forum post, he simply dismissed it as "retarded." He lashes out angrily at anyone who personally disagrees with him. This level of reactivity is unprofessional for staff. Even in his likely response to post, he's likely to push back without any apology or politeness to me whom has been nothing but professional towards him throughout his ban that I administrated in good faith. That should say enough alone. As a staff member who's been here for nearly a year, I have zero notes on my account. He has over 30! A consistent pattern of bans and notes shows a lack of accountability or issues with emotional regulation which are essential for any staff member to have and maintain during their duties.
