    Ban Appeal

This wasn’t just you dropping a ring and being done with it. There was a whole network of characters across multiple players using shared bank accounts to move items around, including racket stuff. The Popov guy you’re pointing at was banned too. We sat people on this (including Alex), heard other voices on his mic that matched the group, and he went quiet and started lying once confronted. The logs connect the people involved, including you. This took real work to untangle because of how spread out it was. 1 month stands.

    Ban appeal

You’re acting like this was a weak investigation that somehow missed the real people while hitting you and your friend. That’s not what happened. The Popov guy got the same 1-month ban, and there was a clear web of characters and shared banks being used to move items between the group- enough that some people involved ended up permanently banned over related activity. We sat Alex on this. Other voices were on his mic that lined up with the group, he went silent when pressed, and tried to lie. This wasn’t a simple item transfer that got over-punished. It was coordinated and required actual digging.

  7. Your Ban Appeal Has Been Reviewed and Accepted After careful review, I have determined that this incident was an accident. Accidents can happen to any player, and this does not meet the criteria for a Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) violation. VDM involves the intentional use of a vehicle to attack or harm another player with no valid roleplay reason. In this case, there was no clear intent to harm, which is a key element of the rule. Prior offenses are only considered when the same intentional violation is repeated. Since intent was lacking here, previous incidents do not apply to this ruling. Your ban will be lifted shortly. As this has been deemed an invalid ban, it will also be removed from your record. Thank you for your patience!
  8. Hello PKing Admin here! After reviewing the video evidence and the full details of the situation at the time, here is why I did my ruling. The player knowingly took a dropped high-value cosmetic item ($40k), refused to give it back when asked then ran off with it, and then pulled a gun while fleeing. This was a clear case of intentional theft/robbery that escalated into armed confrontation. Relevant rules from the PK Guidelines: Under Mugging / Robbery: Being killed while attempting to mug or rob someone carries the possibility of a PK. Financial Harm: Theft causing significant financial loss (well over the $10,000 threshold noted in the guidelines for harm to a player/faction) is listed as valid grounds. Fear RP & Confrontations: Pulling a weapon during the escape turns this into a violent situation where the victim can escalate because it's not like they can tie them up or get it back. While not every item theft results in a PK (especially minor or non-escalated ones), the troll intent, direct refusal after confrontation, and drawing a gun make this a valid in my eyes under our rules. Staff discretion applies here regardless, and I believe the escalation and value of the item support permanent death. I wish Tables the best of luck in this appeal decision, and that's about it from me.
  9. +1 A lot of people are going to sit here and say "minge this" or "minge that," or claim he's broken the rules so many times that he's no longer capable of the role. The fact of the matter is, he likes having too much fun sometimes and has a history of doing silly, stupid things. However, if you actually sit down with him and ask the important questions about staying impartial, being patient, and not letting your emotions get in the way he can articulate those values clearly. He understands them, and he knows how to help other players apply them. He's not a perfect person (none of us are), but the fact that he's been on this server for so long, has broken rules in the past, yet consistently takes accountability says volumes. He's someone who genuinely cares and wants to help others learn the ropes easier than he had to. That's something to admire. If you don't believe me, take the time to talk to him yourself and look at his actions. He cares deeply about RP and is focused on making it fun for everyone involved. At the end of the day, that's what staff is truly about.
  10. I'll attach a link to the clip to better demonstrate what I observed. While the footage should provide a clearer view of the events, I was simultaneously managing multiple factors not visible on screen. As a result, I cannot definitively state exactly what escalated the situation in front of me. What I can confirm is that I observed a person being shot with a gun. I also saw another individual whom I do not know if they fired at the time- wearing a mask. That is all I can reliably state regarding the situation. https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/n2s7l2MzyTBkt0Cgq?invite=cr-MSxVQncsNTAyMjEyNzg4&v=30
  11. +1 Since I first joined this server and the Diverge community, Rebel has been an outstanding mentor to me. He has given me countless opportunities to learn nearly every aspect of legal and police RP. Beyond that, he helped me truly understand metagaming rules and server rules in general. Whether serving as a Judge within the courts, a Detective, or in any other role, Rebel has consistently demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his friends, but more importantly, he prioritizes what is right and best for the community as a whole. He approaches every situation with fairness, zero bias, and no personal grudges. His years of deep experience on Diverge make him an invaluable asset to the staff team. Out of everyone I’ve recommended for staff, Rebel stands out far above the rest. I strongly hope he receives this position and I know he will excel in it and continue doing great things for the community if simply given the chance.
  12. +1 I’ve interacted with Logic a lot and can confidently say he’s still a young soul. That said, when it comes down to brass tacks, he consistently approaches situations impartially, shares knowledge, and enforces the rules fairly. Having played nearly every role on the server, he has both the experience and the availability to get the job done effectively.
  13. +1 A strong staff candidate needs to handle responsibility impartially, stay active and available, and actually understand the server. Ender has been here since 2025 with a clean record and a solid grasp of the rules. We especially need coverage during off-peak / awkward hours. An international player like Ender helps fill gaps that most of us can’t, which benefits the whole community. Age isn’t a real concern. We already have younger staff, and I was admining at 15-16 on one of the few original servers that inspired Diverge. Ender isn’t immature he’s a DOJ main who already makes jail decisions daily, respects due process, and shows creativity. He’s also played every character type on the server. We’ve accepted worse candidates. Giving anything less than neutral or +1 (unless you have serious objections) does the community a disservice. He deserves a fair shot.
  14. -1 I rarely speak out this strongly against giving someone another chance, but in this case, I feel it's necessary. Attached I've sent the recent DMs he sent me during the time to which I banned him. Besides that I'd like to say this. While he wasn't the worst staff member we've had, the team is currently running smoothly without him. We shouldn't lower our standards just to add more bodies. This is the Diverge of today, not a few years ago. He was recently banned and continues to disagree with the reasoning behind it. In his forum post, he simply dismissed it as "retarded." He lashes out angrily at anyone who personally disagrees with him. This level of reactivity is unprofessional for staff. Even in his likely response to post, he's likely to push back without any apology or politeness to me whom has been nothing but professional towards him throughout his ban that I administrated in good faith. That should say enough alone. As a staff member who's been here for nearly a year, I have zero notes on my account. He has over 30! A consistent pattern of bans and notes shows a lack of accountability or issues with emotional regulation which are essential for any staff member to have and maintain during their duties.
