The escalation rules should be viewed as a shell and starting point, not a rigid checklist. UA looks at the full situation, all factions involved, and all relevant factors before making a determination, including faction size, recent hires, main character status, alt characters, and whether anyone is trying to gain an unfair advantage. The purpose of a lockdown / hire block is to prevent war jumping, temporary recruiting, and alt abuse. It also makes escalation uncomfortable for everyone involved, which should push factions toward a quicker resolution instead of letting the conflict drag out. If someone was actively maining a faction but never formally set it as their main, that is ultimately on the player and their faction leadership. If they were involved enough to be impacted by the escalation, they should have seen it coming and made sure their main was properly set. Leadership also has a responsibility to warn members before things reach that point. A lock can be adjusted or removed if UA believes the specific situation calls for it, but it should not be assumed. Unless UA clearly states otherwise, factions should treat the lockdown and main character requirements as active. In your case, you were scared because you thought Popov was going to PK you, so you left the faction to do hits for Supreme in another faction. Once you realized there was no orders you left the other faction and now are stuck as a civ. watching from the outside. If you want numbers.....at the start of the escalation Supreme had 140 alts(More than any other crim. faction) to Popov 30 alts, for mains there were 25 for Supreme and 13 for Popov...... this was taken into account during the main lock decision.

-1 I rarely speak out this strongly against giving someone another chance, but in this case, I feel it's necessary. Attached I've sent the recent DMs he sent me during the time to which I banned him. Besides that I'd like to say this. While he wasn't the worst staff member we've had, the team is currently running smoothly without him. We shouldn't lower our standards just to add more bodies. This is the Diverge of today, not a few years ago. He was recently banned and continues to disagree with the reasoning behind it. In his forum post, he simply dismissed it as "retarded." He lashes out angrily at anyone who personally disagrees with him. This level of reactivity is unprofessional for staff. Even in his likely response to post, he's likely to push back without any apology or politeness to me whom has been nothing but professional towards him throughout his ban that I administrated in good faith. That should say enough alone. As a staff member who's been here for nearly a year, I have zero notes on my account. He has over 30! A consistent pattern of bans and notes shows a lack of accountability or issues with emotional regulation which are essential for any staff member to have and maintain during their duties.

Hi Tommy im the one who wrote the orders as it was brought to my attention that you as a felon had been arming whiteshirts who didn't have the proper licensing. Along with being arrested in your company suit multiple times after being told not to draw attention to yourself when wearing the company suit. When you joined the faction you accepted the risk of potentially being pked for violating Faction rules. The main reason you were deemed a liability was your willingness to arm whiteshirts who had been turned away for not having a gun license. When it comes to the Factions gun racket any potential liability gets dealt with asap as its the biggest legal source of income for the faction and anyone getting caught selling our firearms illegally can put the store at risk of being fined heavily or shutdown. Hope this clears things up for you and best of luck on your future endeavors.

I actually read the whole thing, making clothes non-muggable and saying actions during a mug don’t count as FearRP or PK doesn’t really make sense to me. From a roleplay perspective, going against people who are trying to rob you is literally putting your life at risk, so I definitely think it should count as PK. As for the money system, I think it makes sense, but if they add a rule like that, everyone’s just gonna keep their money in the bank and stop carrying cash. Instead of this, Im more in favor of fixing the inconsistencies in the Mug Char and Mass Mugging rules. The main reason is that there are a lot of players whove been in the community for a long time, follow all the RP rules, but still end up getting perma banned because of how flexible and unclear the mugging rules are. Even right now, there are a couple ban appeals pending from well-known and respected members of the community because of this.

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Here’s what happened: I mugged a Russian dude who was standing alone near the nightclub at night. While I was mugging him, my playermodel was an old guy with a beard and glasses, and I had both an oxygen mask and another mask on that made me show up as a masked individual. After the incident, I stayed hidden inside Imperial for about 20 minutes. Then I went to Urban Outfitters and changed everything: my playermodel, beard, glasses, oxygen mask, even my description. I completely switched identities. After that, I stayed hidden in Garrison for a long time. I even opened a ticket and explained the whole situation to Shauningt, asked a bunch of questions about mugging. You can see the questions I asked and the answers I got in the screenshots below. After the ticket, everything seemed normal to me. Then there was this guy, very obviously Russian, waiting in front of our shop. I’m not exaggerating, he stayed there for about 3 hours. My faction member friend warned him multiple times to leave the property, but he didn’t respond (he later claims he was AFK). Eventually one of my employees shot and killed him. About 15 minutes later, he came back and PK'ed me. What I don’t understand is this: it had been 3 hours since the incident, and I had completely changed my appearance; face, clothes, description, even playermodel. So how and why did I get PK’d? Hello, first of all i want to state i wasn't involved in the situation at all. But i wanted to argue that "Due to your behavior in the sit room, your punishment was needed to be bigger." You cant just extend somebody’s punishment based on the way they talk or the words they use. The only topic banned by UA here is “ERP”, besides that players aint obligated to respect nobody or talk all polite n proper. And considering the dude you banned is clearly not somebody who’d even raise NITRP suspicion, plus you literally admitted yourself that you extended the punishment because of his behavior, it’s kinda obvious the call you made wasnt really the right one. Now if the player bein disrespectful makes you wanna use your own judgement and hit him with the max punishment for the rule he actually broke, thats fully your right as staff. But you cant increase somebody’s punishment just cause they got emotional, mad, or started venting their feelings. I know you still pretty new to being staff and my intention aint to teach you your job or point fingers at your mistakes, I just wanted to respectfully say that I dont think the decision you made really lines up with the server rules. And in a situation this complicated and open to debate, where the player clearly wasnt intentionally doing RDM and doesnt even got a crazy record/history, banning him mainly because of the way he acted over the admin sit, just dont feel like the right move to me. What is your motivation/reason for applying? I've been on the server for almost 2 years now. With summer coming up, I probably be spending most of my free time on Diverge. I always been curious about how things work behind the scenes, and I think becoming a staff member would be a great way to help the community. I've been part of this server for a while now and wanted to be part of the community in a different way whics is like a non-faction role. I finally hit the point where I don’t need to grind for cash all the time anymore at all, and I realized I can actually enjoy the RP. I have a lot of free time now instead of just grinding drugs/oils all day, and I wanna try becoming a staff member and try some new stuff along the way. Why should you be considered over other candidates? I think there are two main reasons that make me different from other candidates. First is the amount of time I can spend playing on the server. I usually play on Diverge for over 50 hours a week, so being active and handling tickets would not be a problem for me. Second thing is my timezone. There are times when staff might not be as available, especially very late or very early. Those dead hours are normal for me, so I believe I can help when support is needed the most. Do you have any previous staffing experience? Yes, I do. Back in 2017–2018, I had staff experience on Turkish DarkRP servers. I was a Helper on MoonRP and later an Admin on NarkozRP. The only exception would be if there were no other staff members online, and the person was seriously disrupting the roleplay, such as mass RDM. In that kinda situation, I would step in and try to handle it until other staff become online. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too obvious. What do you do? First, if the situation is not too serious, I would talk to the staff member privately and warn them about what I noticed. If they ignore it or continue doing the same thing, I would report the situation to a UA member and provide any evidence if i have. A friend or faction member has a ticket against them for RDM or minging. You know they normally don’t act like this. How do you handle it? Does it create bias? I always keep a clear line between friendships and business. If one of my friends or someone I know is breaking the rules, our friendship would not change how I act or how i handle the situation. I would deal with it fairly, based only on the evidence and what actually happened. If they were clearly in the wrong, I would take the correct decision and also talk to them afterward if its needed.
