As far as I remember me and my friend mugged someone in the red area behind Urban Outfits. After that my friend got killed by the mugged players friend, and he ended up getting PKd. If I remember correctly Yugi was the one who handled the situation and he was still a moderator at that time. After the situation i left and later got a character restriction because of what was seen as a fail mug or something like that i guess? I dont have any problem with Yugi, he handled everything fairly at the time. I just dont fully remember the exact reason why I got this restriction. It has been a while since then, if possible i would like to understand my mistake better and if you think its okay, Id like to ask for a second chance because this restriction has been affecting my gameplay for a while now, and I would really appreciate if it could be removed. I promise I will be more careful going forward.

Hi, With things like this it is often a case-by-case. With this one, it would seem fair to me to say that the TM did not necessarily invite conflict in the first place. The conflict begins with the gun pointing, which was minor, but worth bringing up in RP. He does so, and I would imagine had the other player simply walked off, the situation would have ended at that. Instead the verbal disrespect and further conflict ensues which is then followed by physical melee'ing and an eventual shootout. This is somewhat commonplace in the server. I will mention though that the repeated forcing open of the door is not really acceptable behavior here. In many cases, that could be seen as RDM baiting. With the prior context though, which makes the initial intent of the TM clear in my eyes, it's not a massive game changer. This previously mentioned rule was brought up without mentioning the final line: However if someone continues to disrespect you, you may physically intimidate or hit them. (Fists, melee weapon) As continued disrespect could realistically start a fight. The user then has free choice on how to respond/retaliate. If they choose to flee you may not kill them. There have been a few other relevant rules thrown around in the thread so far, but I would point both involved players to these rules, also: (Disclaimer: Initiating arguments just to attack someone when they return your insults or taking any comment as an insult and immediately escalating to hitting them can be considered baiting as proper escalation / the spirit of the rule is not being followed) and Generally you shouldn't invite conflict then try to hide behind the rules when you're killed. This can also be considered baiting as described under killing rule 6. Intentionally instigating someone or goad them into breaking a rule. Both players invite conflict in different ways throughout this situation though, and overall it feels fairly balanced. Could the TM have done better? Yes, but the other player could also have simply apologized for pointing his gun, or walked into his property without comment. With all of this in mind, it seems like naturally occurring player conflict and I don't believe a ban was necessary for this, thus the ban will be lifted shortly. I'd recommend everyone involved scrubs up on the killing and escalation rules anyway, for good measure.

This also means you cannot PK someone for mucking up JUST one time. Having continued issues or warnings about behaviour or disputes can cause escalation to a PK.

The instance for the alleged RDM as explained above was you being PK'd by the faction you were apart of, while i understand this might initially seem to be RDM i can assure you that it is not. Hi Tommy im the one who wrote the orders as it was brought to my attention that you as a felon had been arming whiteshirts who didn't have the proper licensing. Along with being arrested in your company suit multiple times after being told not to draw attention to yourself when wearing the company suit. When you joined the faction you accepted the risk of potentially being pked for violating Faction rules. The main reason you were deemed a liability was your willingness to arm whiteshirts who had been turned away for not having a gun license. When it comes to the Factions gun racket any potential liability gets dealt with asap as its the biggest legal source of income for the faction and anyone getting caught selling our firearms illegally can put the store at risk of being fined heavily or shutdown. Hey @ayokool, I was the staff member that set you PK active. The true reason for your character's PK was that a hit was placed on you by the orders of Kosher Nostra command. The reasons behind the orders are speaking to cops and answering questions without a family lawyer present, which can leave room for suspicion of you being a snitch/informant. The second reason is calling the police on allied factions, for example, Bruno-Scarfo which can fall under breaking alliance rules or faction rules.

what this command do is force the server to send a full update, your clothes are client side models idk what the alt e thing does, so idk what its doing to the client side models but looking at gamemodes\mafia_roleplay\plugins\bonemerge\cl_bonemerge.lua, it looks like PLUGIN:FullUpdate() is something that should be called after standing up also if you look at line 508, it's called every 60s, so maybe try redoing the bug, wait at least 60 seconds and see if it gets fixed what the fuck are you saying

As a cop main, and someone who used to as a detective, before the uniform policy change. It was overpowered. I think the detectives should continue wearing traffic uniform. The guy who made this forum post already retired from the NYPD and lost interest. Deny this anyway. Boom roasted made the right call to restrict detectives. This is MAFIA RP, not cop rp. We are already given larger privileges. Burns and the detectives can suck up and wear their traffic uniforms. If they wanna go PC, then have an operation ready. Ok!

PD used to have more liberty, it's true, but the PD-Crim interactions in general were different. PD mains were very few back in the day, so most people playing PD understood what playing crim was like. Most didn't throw the book at everyone they ever arrested. A lot would act with what is fair rather than make arrests every time one came across their screen (a main example of this being white shirts minging and being killed after being told to leave places, although an arrestable offence, there was a time when basically no cop would arrest you for doing it). The issue I think we face now when thinking about how to balance PD is that people have stopped looking at it as a "side faction" to make sure the streets are not just pure chaos and have actual risk, and instead look at it as a side to pick, which, for balancing purposes, becomes a much more difficult thing for PD HC to do. The plain clothes detective rule isn't a "big deal" by itself, but I believe it reflects the change in mentality of many PD mains who now use PD as a tool purely to go after anyone they can and care less about the general health of the server and how they are affecting the equilibrium.

That's just blatant corruption and not how warrants work at all. If you have a document with the listed charges and it's signed by a judge, you'd need a entirely new document with the new charge added otherwise it's illegal and abuse of the system lmao.

Hi Bullets is entirely correct in pointing out that the server has no "minge hours" or "off-peak" time in which more leniency is (or should be) given to rule breaks. The server is there for roleplay, at all hours, and many players are trying to roleplay and enjoy themselves at these times, too. A lower number of players/staff does not open the door to break rules, and it shows a disregard for the rules that other players ensure they stick to. With all that being said, we tend to stick to a 1 warning system with PET flag abuse, and you have not received a note/warning for this prior to your blacklist. The decision has been made to accept your appeal. Please make sure you are following the rules at all times when connected to the server, and on your next PET related offense you will likely receive a blacklist.

I'm a crim main these days and I gotta say it's fucking boring. The cops are so neutered that if you get arrested as a made guy these days and they didn't powergame you somehow, you're probably genuinely retarded. There used to be risk to doing shit out in the open. Now I just kill people in central park, pick up my casings, and run away knowing that the case is cold as fuck. Grind brick, rinse, repeat. The only threat is a possible snitch. Undercover ops are pretty much moot since staff is currently okay with you and your friends inventing a random made up person to "collect debt from" and you beat them to nlr. If you don't do it, your op is cooked. If you do it, your op is cooked. Crims genuinely have no idea how easy they have it after having been on both sides so thoroughly. The DOJ is neutered. The bureau of detectives is neutered. Look at everything "major" that has happened to different organizations in recent memory. Cassanos got their pp smacked bc they didn't do proper due diligence. Lucchese got a smack on the wrist for similar. Bonanos again similar due to people dying but they're bouncing back. There's probably other minor nuisance headache setbacks other factions endured for 10 minutes then moved on from but the point is there's really only risk caused by your people being genuinely retarded, not high level police work. imo I think it would be fine, just would forfeit/restrict PKs from them if theyre plain clothes. Such as a det plain clothes shooting someone however many feet away so they cant see their badge/blue name (which already kind of how it was before)

With all due respect, this is completely wrong. As I said, I was minding my own business and walking towards Little Italy through the alleyway. The guy next to me saw me coming out of there, pulled out his weapon and aimed it at me. After that, I interacted with him and he repeatedly insulted, disrespected, and threatened me. After that situation, if I had just turned around and walked away without responding, I would have looked like a BITCH so instead I tried to escalate the situation in accordance with the rules. I threw a punch, but when the other player continued to disrespect me without giving a fuck, as someone who had already escalated, I then retaliated/responded freely based on Rule 2 of the Killing Rules, since my escalation attempt had failed. I dont understand what I was expected to do in that situation. Am I supposed to just stand there accept insults and threat??, and walk away without reacting?????? I followed the escalation properly and responded within roleplay based on what was happening at the time. I never had any intention of RDM baiting someone. I was insulted and threatened in character (IC). Also i asked you on sit which of my actions you considered RDM bait, or I requested a second staff opinion because I didn’t agree with your judgment, but in both cases I didn’t receive any response. Without giving me a chance to report that the other player didn't comply NLR rules, you simply said “if you have an appeal, go make one” and just banned me.
