How do you handle this?: Clip it tell another staff member, If there was no one else on I would just pull the people involved and get perspectives and hand out the consequence's based off my best judgement. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would ask the fellow staff member what's going on see if maybe I'm just unaware of something and If it doesn't seem to add up I would bring it up with someone in the next chain of command. If you unban JMZ, you're basically implying that doxxing people, even if it was meant as a joke, is acceptable on Diverge. By that logic, unbanning JMZ after doxxing others would just encourage more people to do the same, since there would be no consequences.

Starting diverge I had jmz repeatedly shout abuse at me with no context of the rp of the server, later finding out that this guy was a staff member and was treating me like this in my first steps of the server could've pushed some people away so I'm glad I knew to ignore someone just dribbling hatred for no reason as after this and joining a faction that wasn't just shouting abuse at me. Further more I've had this guy show up to an apt in ghetto, switch to his staff char to see what was happening and then switch back to his main char. (What a lovely second meeting). During the conflict I had repeatedly again received abuse (including telling me to kill myself) from jmz but also from his cronies who were instructed to spout the same hatred that this insecure wee guy had spent months shouting at me. Finally moving on from my own bias and looking at the situation from a wider perspective, this is just me, I've talked to other people with similar experiences, these are the people who have stuck around, how many people has jmooresy bullied off the server before the got a chance to explore it? With the events that took place and in the lead up to the ban jmooresy was known to be a nuisance, but went over the line truly with the doxxing. To upload a ban appeal 6 days later stating to have changed, while hanging around in diverge general in my personal opinion shows a lack of growth and learning and more of a desperate plea and bargaining to try and claw his way back in without fully taking on the consequences of what he has done, without thinking about now others may feel about him being back, especially those who has harassed and ultimately doxxed, minor or not it's a complete arsehole move and I would be disappointed with the higher ups of the server if a ban was lifted so soon for behaviour that is hurting the servers player base at an ooc level. If you're reading to this point jmooresy, I do feel bad for you, I get you've spent a lot of time and money creating friendships and community on the server but I do think you need to reflect on how you make others feel before you open your mouth sometimes, not even as a staff member but as a player too, I have to give it to you recently you were becoming less cuntish but once again you've only got yourself to blame for the events that happened which lead us to your ban.

ik im probably not the first one to suggest this and there very well could be a proposed update that has other plans with counterfeiting; but if not i feel like counterfeiting if done right could be a neat addition to the game obviously theres countless different ways to do it but at its core the concept i had for it for it was: tl;dr bleach money -> create money 'blanks' -> put blanks into printer to make into higher value bills dump bleach bottle into bucket>put real money in>3minTimer; money bleeds and becomes a 'blank' dollar>4minTimer; money blanks 'dry'>place blanks into printer>remaining 3 minutes spent printing. bam end product, rinse repeat it would be available to all factions as a quicker but labor intensive way to make money (presumably taking roughly 1/2 the ordinary shipment time, 10 minutes total) i dunno if it would be better whether or not the 'product' would be applied directly to your wallet for use or if it would produce an item of 'counterfeit cash' to sell to a dealer/deposit to an ATM to clean- maybe theres a better way than either of those who knows *'color printers' would need to be added to the electronics store (you could have a higher rate for citizens to buy it and a 'supplier/bulk' rate for any/all criminal enterprise 'employees' purchasing printers? might be more effort than its worth but just an idea) *'large buckets' would need to be added to the hardware store or any container for mixing money with bleach, really *if you're feeling particularly stingy you could add ink/toner for printers as well or have them break after X amount of uses. this could also be a way to enhance the quality of counterfeits as well though too *blanks could be air-cooled and/or you could be able to use a stove could make it go faster at risk of it failing/burning/exploding a stove *you could let people keep created blanks in their inventories to keep it a very malleable process in terms of time consumed. *felon exclusive opportunities if thats the the new in-thing if it isn't totally clear this is just a suggestion/brainstorm and hardly a well thought out plan. i dunno if the ideas are viable or interesting to others but but it seems like it fits the nature of the game and can be expanded upon further wanted to see what others thought/if yall had input or ideas too

As someone who is new to the server and has spent alot of time in the same faction as him i may be a bit bias but from a new player stance he has helped me understand exactly what the rules are, how not to get in trouble and all around been a good influence on me to help expand my RP further. I do believe in second chances and understand the severity of what he did to get banned but if any of what ive seen is an indication as to him changing he might actually become something further. The relationships ive made on here in just a few weeks has been more of a pleasant experience than most if any other gmod server, jmoorsey was 100% apart of that for me on the discord side of things and him amoung others are the reasoning behind me bringing in as many new players as I possibly can. Now if he fucks off again banish his ass to the aether and tell me i was an idiot but my vibe radar makes me think bro is actually sorry for being an real life asshole over a game from the way hes talked to me and the others about it. However, another staff member showed me another clip (this one: Untitled - Copy - Clipado com Medal.tv) which shows the cop stated "That´s a pk" at the end of the clip, and provides further context of the situation. As many of you may have noticed, there has been a noticeable rise in criminal activity committed solely for the purpose of obtaining felony status and gaining access to certain benefits. I agree with the benefits, as felons can no longer legally own a firearm license or carry a firearm without committing a crime. However, there should be a system in place that allows criminal faction members to access those same products and equipment without having to rely on receiving a felony charge. The Idea: - Felons receive a 25% or 50% discount on products that were previously locked behind felony status; - Felons receive +1 extra unit when crafting equipment that was previously felon-locked. These products and equipment also become available for criminal factions to purchase or craft, without requiring felony status.

Voice messages could be cool, possibly prerecord instructions, or training guides. Some concerns with how the ingame pager is used and people using it to minge. Phones for businesses make sense, possibly have them pay for a 'special number'. But a strict landline attached to a wall. I think would be a little bit of a nuisance. As a follow up, I think adding a code you could add to your phone. That gives you access to any 'business call' made to the business, would be a better implementation. Sim cards weren't manufactured till 1991, I think adding them is a little redundant, may account for a pointless price increase. As opposed to just getting another phone.

On a previous server that was set in the 1940s, there was an option to preview your pins that display above your head. I think this would be a cool addition where players can preview what the pins look like and potentially an option to be able to choose the order which pins display. (I am always asking people how my pins look above my head when I get a new one or mix it up)

I enjoy the idea of low level tasks/jobs you can repeat as a civ that give small amounts of cash but overall serve as a teaching tool for new people in the City to learn different areas and their names, etc. but the delivery job does a small piece of that. Done more thoroughly and dynamically, this could be good. I disagree with the criminal side of this. I disagree with any tiers or leveling to this, and am against a way for advancement or to make any feasible amount of money. Yes, it’s a video game. We need to game-ify certain systems to make it work and Hell, make it fun. But anything that can be used to make someone think, feel, and fabricate/extrapolate their character having a certain level of experience in the city (outside of a well written backstory) or anything to give them a fat stack of cash defeats the entire purpose of roleplay or going to a faction to make money. This, to me, overall challenges the entire point of RP which is a social and multiplayer experience. However, a good and thorough system in play to make the world alive, give dynamic options for early level work, and primarily teach people about the City would be a great asset. Very soft +1
