Let's make a faction so other factions can give orders to members of our faction to PK their own members because they are too scared/too incapable of doing so themselves. Minus one.2 points

Name of Faction: Murder, Inc (Murder, Incorporated) Number of Members (Minimum of 5): 18 Type Of Faction (Family, Triad, Street Gang, etc): Organized Syndicate Ethnic Background (ex: Italian, Greek, African American, Irish, etc):Mutli-Ethnic Name of Character running the faction: Richard Mazza Your Discord # (ex: gamer#4210): bakedoutamind Your SteamID: STEAM_1:1:493953043 Your Server playtime: 2 months 3 weeks 7 hours Do you acknowledge and agree to all faction rules as detailed on the server rules page? (Yes/No): Yes Do you acknowledge that your faction discord will be owned by us? (Yes/No): Yes Provide an example of the unique Roleplay your faction will bring to the server/what type of roleplay we can expect from your faction (Images/Videos Preferred): Our intention with Murder, Inc. is to offer an organized roleplaying experience of a multi-ethnic criminal enterprise based on reputation and professional relationships rather than “families” or any other stereotypical outfits. We intentionally made our organization multi-ethnic rather than limiting to just one group of people in order to open up further roleplay potential for a wider group of people and characters and to showcase the furthered success a faction can have by removing this largely limiting factor. In our faction, there will be a high degree of professionalism, competence, and reliability. This will allow us to form a fluid and flexible organization capable of acting independently and unbound to specific ethnic, racial, or cultural ties. Our roleplay will be professional contract killings performed by trusted members according to the specific needs of our clients. High-quality performance, complete discretion, and organization will be the most important factors in determining the success of each job. Being the best and the only choice ofr those who need discreet murder services, we plan to build a reputation as a reliable and efficient organization. Additionally, we will perform various other criminal activities to sustain our network and provide for our members. Protection, collection of debts, and trafficking will be among these activities. However, our main goal will remain professional performance of tasks. Our members will have to act in accordance with the rules that we lay out for them. Our roleplay will be based on professional interactions with our contacts and clients, as well as with other factions. Some likely roleplay scenarios we would conduct include negotiating and planning high-level hits and meticulously building positive relationships and a reputation with other factions. When conflicts take place, they will be organized and meaningful, developed step-by-step from negotiations to confrontations and escalations. As a result, we will get a lot of interesting roleplay going such as law enforcement investigations, confrontation with other factions, and fighting to establish our reputation in the criminal scene dominated by old-world crime families. Provide examples or event ideas to promote activity within your faction and keep people interested. (Reference your unique RP from the question above): Our faction is based around professional contract work, long-term reputation management, and a multi-layered street network. To keep our members active within Murder, Inc., we plan to promote structured operations and a thorough system of progression rather than random and infrequent events. One major point we want to emphasize is the concept of contract developments. Before any high-level hit is approved, members of our faction will have to do their due diligence. This will look like determining client standing, risk assessment, and whether or not the contract is logically sound. The idea is for this to create multi-day roleplay situations involving “surveillance” such as tailing, trading information, and controlled meetings/sitdowns. Not every contract will be accepted, which encourages discussion, tension, and internal politics. We will also run a ladder progression type system for our members. New members will not immediately participate in high-profile work. They will begin with smaller assignments such as collections, message delivery, and/or intimidation. Performance, discretion, and discipline will determine an individual’s advancement in Murder, Inc. This will provide a clear in-character path for growth and will give newer players structured goals. Another major roleplay opportunity is the actual planning of our work/operations. These will look like structured meetings where members will break down target profiles, escape routes, and fallback scenarios. This will allow for collaborative roleplay where every role matters, such as drivers, lookouts, and shooters. Even members not directly involved in a job will remain active through equipment sourcing and safehouse management. To integrate ourselves into the city itself, we plan to host some scale of front-facing business. Members will engage with legitimate business that will create natural roleplay. These will provide faction activity even when no criminal contract is active and will strengthen immersion within the server. Finally, we will give plenty of material for law enforcement and government characters. After major jobs and operations, members will have to adapt to pressure from the police, adjust routines, and manage public perception (both in the criminal and public side of things). This will keep the roleplay active even after a contract concludes and will allow for long-term roleplay between our faction, other factions, and the government. Hard to tell from your friend's POV, unfortunately, Normally, if a cop were to shoot at you first, you could retaliate without risk of being pked (unless they've changed it) I'm not sure how it works since you were running with your friend, and from his POV, as soon as he shoots the cop, you have a gun out in one of the frames. Maybe if you were completely unarmed the entire time, but from what I can see, you had a gun out (which is a valid reason to shoot), along with firing at the police. Regardless, good luck, man. I'd recommend downloading Medal to clip your perspective as well.1 point

This idea was more or less just trying to add more pros than cons, because as of now nobody really uses or needs to use the pager. The only time I've ever used the pager was when I was doing UC work as a detective. They'll leave their char infront of the NPC and load it to check if anything is new in the NPC1 point

mugging character this mugging character that how about we just remove mugging from the rules since there’s so much taboo around it. who gaf fr shits retarded at least dude was doing it on a main character and was indiscriminately mugging people, so you can’t even argue target mugging. Hans bro just get the debt card and pay up fr I’ll give you a couple dollars1 point

Notice how you dont provide anything to back your argument up besides " the evidence is damming" and then provide nothing. The biggest issue with this appeal is the dickriding bc some of you retards got yourselves mugged and now your salty that bros tryna get unbanned bc you're feelings got hurt over a aspect of the server and game. When are people gonna admit the only problem they have is that bro was mugging. This ban shows that you as a player can litterally follow the rules to the T and still get banned bc someone didnt like what was said in rumour or got mugged or wtver bs. Hans had been maining with us for 2-3 months before he got rebanned and in that time he established his character, got bones, got made, recruited, sold guns, clothes, paid weekly kickups which by every standard of worth makes his char valuable especially when it was all done on his main which I should add alot of the people who mug or try to mug never do it on their mains. So lets stop acting like all he did was mug and do nothing but terrorize you whiney little fucks. At this point either get rid of mugging entirely or establish what a mugging character is clearly without room to misinterpret.1 point

First things first, the evidence is not "damning"; in fact, no evidence has been provided. Just a clip of me mugging 1 person in an alleyway, which was within the rules. Instead of just shitting on my appeal, it would be nice if people could actually understand what I was banned for. Mugging Char | Extensive PO's | NITRP | A mugging char is pretty much a character that is not valued and has the sole purpose of mugging people. Typically, alt chars, not main characters. - However, my Hans character is the main character that I've had and maintained for over 2 years. - Another point is that my character is valuable. I would like to say every time I mug, I am aware that I have millions of dollars full of custom clothing in my bank account and that I can lose them all. -"You may mug one person / singular group of people every 15 minutes." I mugged once every few days. Considering that I was very active in my faction and in this server in general, how could I have no value for roleplay with a sole purpose of mugging? Now, for the NITRP reason for my ban. - I was probably one of the most active members in Takahashi, running the gun store, grinding shipments and conversing in the city. - As for talking shit in rumour, these guys started talking shit about Taka in rumour and as there had been some beef with those same people before. I talked my shit back. Basically was bragging about their friend that I pk'd during a mugging. HOWEVER, I pk'd him when he tried to mug me, not me mugging him. Probably one of the only bans in my life, other than the false cheating ban, where I actually followed the rules, and still got banned. Why I think I got banned when I followed the rules: - Every single time I mug, whether I use my voice or not, it gets METAGAMED - Genuinely, every time someone got mugged in the server, I would get accused. - My don wouldn't kill me over metagaming faggots in his dm's, so I had to go somehow1 point

This and Daddy Skull's appeal are a great example of how simply being disliked is enough to be permanently banned. I think it's really fucking sad that someone can follow the rules and still get banned for playing the server in a way that's fun to them. It's the same situation for both appeals, they will continue to sit it perma-ban limbo until they quit the server or pay for re-entry. Mugging is a big part of diverge RP, it delivers a reason to fear for losing your shit if you're being careless or caught in a bad place. "Mugging Char" is a sad excuse for a ban, Hans has millions of self-earned value and is risking it every time he attempts to mug. If bans like this are continued to be handed out, we'll all eventually just be sitting around waiting for shipments or the next GM event. Either remove mugging or fix the system, this shit is stupid. +11 point

He's been involved with Taka for way more than a week IC/OOC and I've observed plenty of good roleplay from him, I'm pretty sure it was me who hired him. Mugging only becomes an issue when the (((wrong person))) gets mugged, has a baby bitch fit and cries to the admins. If you're mugging people everyday then there would definitely be an issue, however there are many factors for one to avoid being mugged and if it happens to someone, it's on them. I've been mugged before and haven't let my guard down since, it hasn't happened to me again and never will (no I will not knock on wood). If people have a problem with mugging maybe they should go play minecraft and don't grind 10 hours a day for a million dollar suit or spend $100 on a custom item and expect NotHinG BaD To EveR HaPPen tO MeEEeee, or don't ever talk shit to anyone IC and get mugged for it and then cry because you weren't the one who ran you mouth off, "I'm just a poor wittle victim Mr. Admin".1 point

Out of all my muggings on Hans since being back, I have only pk'd a few people. Also, the clip someone provided somewhere above this of me only mugging someone with no value is about the only clip of me mugging someone with no value. So, get your facts straight and quit acting like all I did on the server was mass mug and minge. You, just like a lot of the people in the server, just don't like people mugging, it's as simple as that. I have written in a document every mug I have done on my Hans character since being back and only 2 of them didn't have serious value. Sure, there was a rare occasion where I was in an alley and couldn't see that someone didn't have serious value. But acting like that's all I went for is completely wrong. Never did I mass mug, NITRP, or PK hunt. I only hear people complaining about the mugging problem and never telling people to put their gun on safety in alleyways. If you are dumb enough to have no guns out in a mugging zone then you are just stupid and deserve to be mugged. Also just curious because apparently all I did on the server was mug. Is there any proof of that? All I have seen from you ( the banning admin ) is just saying it was a group decision from other admins and they feel that's all i've done aswell. It would be nice if I could see any sort of proof of this pk hunting, mass mugging, and NITRP that you're speaking about. Never did I pk hunt, never did I break the rules by mass mug, and never did have no intent to roleplay.1 point
-
hi so what exactly did he rulebreak? because last I checked mass mugging is mugging right after mugging someone before the timer runs out as you can see in this image And also who hunts for pks besides cops? if you're not valuing your life and not following orders from the people who put you in fear rp, you should be pk'd if killed. I know if I was caught in a mugging zone without my gun on safety I would for sure comply as I value my characters life, to me that's not PK hunting, that's just logic.1 point

I understand from Calinks perspective on the reason of the ban being permanent, understandable reaction due to Canadians terms But can we clarify what a mugging character is before continuing shitposting this thread? We need to stop bending/changing the rules to appease to our complaints to back our unwritten rules. It is just setting people up for failure, as a community it seems we're all mad as shit someones mugging? then take it out of the server ffs. lets play Kumbaya rp. its unnecessary to deem one person a mugging character (in which was his MAIN character) but since he doesnt qualify as a mass mugger either, I'm extra lost. You may mug one person / singular group of people every 15 minutes. Mugging again immediately, before allowing the timer to expire will be considered Mass Mugging. Realistically you must lay low after mugging someone. Mass mugging in order to to PK people, or 'PK hunting' / being 'PK hungry' is not permitted. If an Admin feels like you're doing things intentionally for no regard for actual roleplay they may deny your PK requests issue according punishments There are other instances where killing someone during a mugging will not result in a PK. - Such as not giving the person reasonable time to react to your demands - Ordering them to use certain game functions they don't have to comply with or making unreasonable demands (Drop items/cash, hit f7, give me your f3, commit suicide, etc) - If you disengage fear rp and they attempt to flee or fight back - You fail to specify that they are being mugged/fail to properly initiate a mugging - A fail mug location or mass mugging However it does say that PK baiting is against the rules in #2 on the list. Mass mugging does not apply to this situation, nor does mugging character. The cause of this should've been from the initial effortless mugging that could have been instead of "put your hands up" - been one of the 2 mugging the guy to restrain them. However a perma for this seems a little steep. The mugging rules need some more clarification, and I cant stress enough the 2 bans I have on record for racket abuse and how Canadian/Pendred had changed the rules to further clarify the rule (which had ultimately helped lots of others understand the rule further.) Idk man, just seems like we all don't like Hans because he's mugged you or someone you don't like. I see alot of angry little dwarves in here who've got their feelings hurt and honestly the fact some of us take this game so serious to the point where we are attempting to exile a player for a rule that isn't even in the rules btw, is kinda fucking pathetic. Mugging character has never been clarified. How can a character thats been around longer than most of the characters he's pked be considered a mugging character? I also would like to note that it isn't unusual that I've seen one solid video of a fuck up, and I've seen plenty of other clean videos. I don't really even know what we are talking about at this point. -1 +1 #freetheniggahanshunnebun ah-shit-here-we-go-again.mp41 point

Hi banning admin here. I was asked to weigh in on, and then enact your ban during a conversation with at least 6 other staff members, including staff higher ranking than myself. Looking through your logs, it is blatantly apparent to me, as well as the other staff, that you don't intend to roleplay. In your previous appeal, you said: "If I get unbanned, I plan to roleplay and add to the servers experience instead of take away from it. If I come back to the server I won't be mugging at all, shouting at people for no reason, or breaking any rules." So far you have spent most of your time mugging, outside of that AFK'ing at your property, and making negative and cringeworthy Underground Advertisement endlessly. It's worth noting that hiring a few people and ordering oil is not what constitutes roleplay. Your provided evidence of roleplay is also pretty sub-par. You have been known to mug various people who blatantly have nothing of value on their person, which to my eye is likely PK hunting. You make the core of your character, down to his nickname, about mugging. You post a large number of rumours per session gloating about your muggings, and announcing plans for your next muggings. All of this adds up, as well as your previous bans and reputation - to show that you are just a mugging character, who can provide little to no valuable roleplay to the server. The testimony of a small handful of Takahashi players that you "have been helpful in the 1 week you were there" is not doing much to disprove that, either. PK hunting, most failmugs (which you have done at least one) and NITRP are all bannable offenses. Referencing Canadian's judgement on your perma ban appeal: "If you are banned again it will be extended to permanent once more." Thus I extended your ban to permanent. TL;DR - I was asked to ban you if I believed your actions constituted a ban, I did, as did numerous other staff. You had a 1 strike, you're out policy laid out to you when you were unperma'd. Good luck on the appeal.1 point
