Hello. I Was involved in deciding whether this was a PK or NOT as i was also an Admin online at the time. The rule you are referencing means they cannot KILL You for failing to comply with their instructions in this situation. However you pulled out a gun leading to your death. you were killed because of the fact that you pulled out a gun therefore breaking Fear RP whilst off duty and dying because of it. If they'd killed you for NOT Putting your hands up then this would've been Invalid but that simply Was NOT the case.

But instead what do I see? 7 VCWP Pks and they're not even cool ones. Let's just remove the cops from Mafia RP and bring back PK Wars honestly. For future reference processing on another factions property whilst not owning or renting a room in the location, especially on the doorstep of a room. Is in fact Powergame. (If you're not involved in this situation please kindly refrain from posting on this thread) The rule you're referencing does exist however in this context it is not valid i will explain below. There are other instances where killing someone during a mugging will not result in a PK - Such as not giving the person reasonable time to react to your demands - Ordering them to use certain game functions they don't have to comply with or making unreasonable demands (Drop items/cash, hit f7, give me your f3, commit suicide, etc) This rule is specifically for when they are giving you orders. There is no situation in the server where whilst being mugged and being told to hit F7 Then Refusing to hit F7 and them killing you for refusing to use the game function would fall under a PK. If you had Ignored their command to click F7 And they shot you. then it would not have been a PK. In terms of the Targeting Accusation. when staff reach out to you. then you will be expected to provide that proof and this will help with your appeal. if this is indeed a Targeted instance you will most likely be Unpked and the Mugger will not. You died because you pulled out a gun and fought back whilst being held under FEARRP which can be seen here. FearRP = Valuing one's life in a realistic manner. Life Rules. 1. You must value your character’s life. This means that you naturally do not want your character to die. (FearRP) Breaking this can result in a PK at the Staff’s Discretion. FearRP Rules. 1. While under fearrp it's recommended you oblige by the commands of your captor, if you attempt to escape or pull out a weapon to fight back but are killed that would display a disregard for your own safety, a calculated risk you took which failed, resulting in your PK. (In some circumstances a PK does not apply, view pk rules for more information.) This means it is NOT a rule violation to break fearrp but if you are killed while breaking it there is a possible IC consequence of being PK'ed. TLDR: If they killed you for refusing it'd be invalid but because you shot them it's a valid death. Additionally if you had pulled a gun out on safety whilst they were surrounding you. you wouldn't have been under FearRP and would not have had to comply with Any orders or commands issued. Hello. I'm one of the assisting staff members in this situation when it came down to your PK. This might be one of the funnier appeals in diverge and yet even so You were Clearly Metagaming in a VC During a Mugging attempt. Not only was the Mugging already a fail since the person you tried to mug had a gun on safety. but the people you were metagaming with actually self reported.. In Terms of Your PK. You were effectively Pked for dying during a mugging as can be seen below. For future reference as SuleG2 Mentioned above. Your Computer. Your Account and Your Character are all your responsibility as a person. Also you should get more familiar with the server rules Mugging Rules. 1. Be cautious! If you are killed while committing a mugging you have the possibility of being Pk'ed (Permanently killed)!. Pk Rules. Being killed while trying to PK someone. / Being killed while attempting to mug someone. FearRP Rules. 9. If you are holding a weapon actively in your hand then fearrp does not apply and you may retaliate (even if it is on safety, E+R).

Judging from your appeal it doesn't appear as if you tried to lie or hide the truth in his situation. As it stands you were using a non approved vehicle dupe, and you have a prior note for pet flags, which leads me to assume you've been warned about how to use props in the past and should be more knowledgeable about the prop rules. 5. Do not spawn moving prop dupes without prior approval. Staff will have final say if your prop boat/trailer is permissible. 6. No flying or floating prop vehicles / machines / mechanisms. 9. Breaking these rules will result in a ban or removal of PET flags.

It'd be kinda cool if instead of seeing what they were armed with weapon wise, or etc if all the body showed was Name: Cause of Death: Time of death: Then when killed a prop version of their weapon drops on the ground that acts like bullet casings, opening a while now level of RP when the cops come and collect it, possibly giving them the serial number, and then they can use a GSR kit to determine whether it was fired, it also wouldn't be bad to add more things that a hitman can look out for / RP with "You want So and So Dead?, I'll kill him and bring you his gun as proof." "I'll kill him and bring you his fingers as proof" etc. Might open the door to more RP, personally I think when chopping up a corpse you should also get hands, and have the ability to cut off fingers to send a message to people, this is Mafia RP After all

Hello, While I'm not the banning member of staff I assisted in making the final verdict on your ban. Whilst an active threat is cause for killing someone, the individual in question pulled out their gun, then proceeded to put it on safety leading to you shooting him and his friends including one who didn't even have a gun in hand. Whilst I understand attempting to defend yourself, there's a difference between defence and opening fire on a group of people for the fun of it because someone put their gun on safety and called you scum. Here are the rules mentioned. In regards to how a user is allowed to react to verbal threats. There are two types of threats, an 'Active Threat' and a 'Idle threat'. Users may kill for an active threat but they may not kill for an idle a threat. The difference between the two is situational but will always pertain to if the person making the threats has a weapon in their hand. For example, someone pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you. This is an Active threat. Someone saying they will kill/beat you in an argument or conversation. (Unarmed, weapon on safety etc) that is an idle threat. You are allowed to react to an Active threat in that moment (Not later when the situation is over). On that note, considering you escalated to violence in his situation you'd be the "Aggressor". You may kill in self defence or in defence of your partners/faction/property (Must have F3). When you've been attacked by an aggressor and survive (you did not aggravate or bait them to hit you) you may return with a weapon to kill them. Which means there was no reasonable level of threat in terms of shooting he group on their business.. Please read the rules, as when there is conflict there will be more staff keeping tabs on you, and more reports. So ensure you're taking the necessary steps to roleplay correctly, and make tickets on people breaking the rules so we can handle it.
