  1. Anything but locking in and playing the actual fucking game. Everybody wants to reinvent the wheel before they even learn how to pull the cart with horse.
  2. Wait til you figure out that’s the same circle jerkers who have always gotten along and niggas are all snakes and absolute haters.
  3. As soon as props reset, my Bicycle starts to fucking bounce and fly all around wildly and crazily before brutally smashing into them and sending them flying, often hospitalizing them. Like every car, this is related to now they all just kinda seem to go limp noodle mode and act funny/dangerous. Well, it’s not funny. It hurts people.
  4. Things are starting to make sense now.
  5. This is quite literally what surveillance looks like in the 70s-90s. You bug a few places, a couple cars, etc and you sit around in a nearby location and spy. If it’s a vehicle, you follow it. Real life shit. Not just movies. PD actually doing their jobs and investigating challenge level: impossible
  6. I just now read this. Did your retarded ass really just accuse me of donating to get a felony removed? Bitch nigga, it was an RDA that I paid a very good lawyer well to fight for months and it was dropped through grueling legal RP, 2/3 In City and 1/3 in pager. Don’t talk dumb shit that you have no clue about. My LARP is impregnable. You are an actual shitter.
  7. The other words I would use for you are banned.
  8. Nigga can't read. Nothing new here.
  9. You really are a dumbass and either can't read or refuse to comprehend what's been said out of bad faith. Attacking me argumentum ad hominem totally helps your case, also. Call me old some more and act like that has anything to do with the argument. At least I know talking to you is pearls before swine. What a retard.
  10. Let’s not even get into other logistics of this. How the technology works, for example. What’s next? We hire phone phreaks to reverse engineer taps and start whistling nuclear launch codes into NORAD hotlines? Like, get real. Nobody is tapping a fucking cellular phone in 1990. Most recording devices weren’t even recording the “line” back then and simply were physical devices that went in the phone itself. From a legal and technical standpoint, this is so retarded to defend that I’m somehow shocked even the typical knee jerking pickle sniffing fucks are here to argue against what is chronologically sound.
  11. You’re proving my point, not disproving it. The Commission Case is famous precisely because the FBI spent years getting court orders to target the bosses of the Five Families. That’s not evidence that every associate or soldier in 1990 NYC could have their phone tapped on a whim. Especially a mobile phone? Wiretaps existed long before any of this. The difference is they were targeted, warrant-based investigative tools, not the broad surveillance culture and expanded authorities that developed decades later. Getting these warrants were under very strict conditions and guidelines and tons of evidence was constantly tossed due to mishandling of taps. The audio was recorded at specific times for specific periods of time and the only reason so many mobsters got buried was because they were all loudmouths who couldn’t stop boasting about their crimes. Not to mention how many taps were just at a physical location and not actually on the phone. Most of the time the warrants were location based meaning the devices would go in the phone, in the whatever. Tapping a long range line or mobile device would be very tricky in that day and time. I’m sure you’ll find another way to knee jerk and dismiss the reality of the matter, though. Typical clueless Divergian.
  12. I will assume it was RICO, murder, or major drug investigations that led to these taps? There were limits on them or what? Surveillance has existed forever in LE but it’s supposed to be physical surveillance mostly with minimal device planting for some other recordings that were often inadmissible without specific permissions laid out in a warrant. A lot of the time they did trash pulls, planted devices in public pay phones for short periods, and watched people from unmarked vehicles. Plus, undercover use… see how well that turns out most of the time.
  13. People are projecting modern surveillance backwards. In 1990, broad electronic surveillance of Americans was far more controversial, more legally constrained, and much less technologically pervasive than it became after the post-9/11 expansion of surveillance powers. The USA PATRIOT Act didn’t invent wiretapping, but it dramatically expanded the government’s ability to conduct surveillance and shifted public and legal attitudes toward it. Treating 1990 NYC like authorities could casually tap mobile phones on demand is anachronistic. If you’re trying to roleplay the period authentically, investigations should rely far more on informants, physical surveillance, warrants, undercover work, and old-fashioned detective work. We should not project modern expectations of ubiquitous electronic monitoring into 1990s RP.

  15. I see you people saying all this shit so often and it’s just so funny how clueless people chat the most shit not knowing what they’re talking about. The City already has in and out of character solutions for dying/dead/low activity factions and how to phase them out, turn their properties over, etc. Really cool “suggestion” though.
  16. Yeah, pal, 9/11 hasn’t happened yet. This shit would not fly in 1990. Come back in 12 years once we get the Patriot Act.
  17. Most people don’t realize that, if they genuinely enjoyed the server and wanted to make things right, they could simply make a new character in an allied faction and come back a week later. All it takes is enough self-awareness to acknowledge their mistakes, adjust their behavior, and give it another shot. Instead, most people become self-righteous and mistakenly indignant, choosing to blame everyone else before moving on to something else. On top of that, police characters have an incredibly low chance of ever being mugged, PK’d, or facing many of the consequences that people playing criminal mains have to deal with. It’s easy to see why some dickless weasel would gravitate toward that role. The appeal is obvious through that lens. I know cops are necessary, and I always appreciate the people who play them well and genuinely roleplay. But let’s be honest: most cops are complete dunces. A lot of them are essentially side characters whose only purpose is to fuck over someone else’s criminal main. The slightly better, but just as common, version is the cop main who barely roleplays and exists solely to grief other people’s main characters. It’s sad that the cop I should fear and hate the most, an intelligent badge with a genuine passion for investigating and fighting crime, is the rarest kind of cop in the city; one I practically have to wish upon a fucking star for.
  18. GPT suggestion day.
  19. Maria Licciardi, Asunta Maresca, "Queenie" Saint Clair, Griselda Blanco, Sista Ping, and the list goes on. Legends of Camorra, blacks who went to war with LCN, Medellin Cartel leaders, and a legendary Chinatown broad who smuggled HUMANS. Ruthless, wildly successful bosses who you might still to this day DIE for disrespecting if you went around even their enemies to talk shit about women being in crime. I don't think some of you realize what the 80s and 90s did to revolutionize organized crime.
  20. As much as I agree, it is a fictional version of history. Alternate history exists in RP. Opening up books for certain specific women who put a lot of work in isn't that crazy. Remember the lady boss in the Italian arc of The Sopranos? Camorra has had female bosses. Maybe not LCN or the 'Ndrangheta but we are also seeing months of Nuclear Winter for no reason. It IS a fictional version of NYC. There COULD viably be a NEW order of greaseballs who finally make ladies. We had a whole war over it.
  21. To be fair, I only said he had a speech impediment if you wanted to stretch the list. I ACTUALLY suggested Coco, nigga. Don’t lie on my name.
  22. As a PTSD afflicted veteran of the streets, ghetto certified degree holder at the School of Hard Knocks, and recovering wig - let this man shine and let us have our unregistered firearms.
