There isn't any proof of "PK hunting" or "Mass Mugging", at this point they are just buzz words used because they know they can't ban you for being "generally disliked and complained about"

This and Daddy Skull's appeal are a great example of how simply being disliked is enough to be permanently banned. I think it's really fucking sad that someone can follow the rules and still get banned for playing the server in a way that's fun to them. It's the same situation for both appeals, they will continue to sit it perma-ban limbo until they quit the server or pay for re-entry. Mugging is a big part of diverge RP, it delivers a reason to fear for losing your shit if you're being careless or caught in a bad place. "Mugging Char" is a sad excuse for a ban, Hans has millions of self-earned value and is risking it every time he attempts to mug. If bans like this are continued to be handed out, we'll all eventually just be sitting around waiting for shipments or the next GM event. Hello, I would like to start this ban appeal off with my perspective of my roleplay. As far as I have been informed by both the banning staff member and other individuals I have spoken to, the behavior that led to my ban were my statements within the underground advertisement and my issues with mugging. To address my underground advertisement behavior, all I can simply state is that the words said in underground advertisement's do not reflect my character's roleplay. I am man enough to admit that the things I say in the underground advertisements are REALLY, REALLY stupid. Many times, I post before I think about what I really say and, if unbanned, I can promise to improve upon that. Secondly, in accordance to my previous offenses and my "mugging character", my previous permanent ban (unbanned in January 2026) was due to a PD raid, which I apologized deeply for and realize what an idiotic mistake it was. Upon being banned, the individual who banned me claimed that I was "excessively mugging", and also pointed out that in my previous ban appeal, I promised not to mug. In my ban appeal, I stated that I would stop minging, harrassing people, and mugging people. While I can admit that I have mugged while unbanned, I have gone through a great effort to dial back my muggings, along with ensuring that all muggings adhere to all roleplay standards. I would also like to mention that this was all on my main character I've had for years and have followed all the mugging rules to a tea. It is also important to mention that this character has a lot of value, discrediting the idea that I am a mugging character. Subsequently, as mentioned, I have greatly improved my roleplay standards since my previous ban. In my current faction, I have not only created several roleplay situations with friends and other individuals, but I have greatly enhanced my presence in my faction through recruitment. Provided below are several pieces of evidence that show my roleplay since my ban appeal. I am positive that after being given a second chance, I have made much more of a positive impact than a negative impact on both my faction, and Diverge Networks overall. Right now, most organized crime RP on the server tends to center around drugs, weapons, and robberies. While those situations definitely create conflict, they don’t always lead to longer investigative storylines that keep people engaged over time. Adding a carefully controlled, rule-heavy human trafficking storyline- one focused on investigations and rescue roleplay rather than profits.. could open the door to deeper, more meaningful narratives for both criminals and law enforcement if it’s handled the right way. Rather than turning this into another "money-making system" or something people grind, it would probably work best as a slow-developing story tool. The real goal would be to create opportunities for long paced character arcs involving one, or more criminal organizations, detective work, undercover operations, and rescue efforts. Concept: The intention wouldn’t be to reward the crime itself, but to create more detailed RP stories built around organized crime investigations, missing persons cases, undercover assignments, and eventually; rescue operations. Of course, something like this would need clear restrictions and active staff oversight to make sure it stays focused on storytelling and is handled respectfully, rather than becoming just another mechanic people try to optimize, or farm and abuse. At its core, the focus should always stay on: storytelling, consequences, and investigative RP- not profit. Example Scenarios: Organized crime RP: A criminal group could slowly fall under suspicion due to patterns of suspicious behavior, giving detectives something more substantial to investigate than "isolated incidents." Investigation RP: Law enforcement could work actual missing persons cases- following leads, running surveillance, interviewing witnesses, and putting together long-form investigations instead of only reacting to crimes as they happen. Undercover RP: This could also create opportunities for undercover work, confidential informants, and long-term evidence gathering that builds toward major story payoffs. Rescue RP: It could lead to high-stakes rescue situations where PD or other characters coordinate efforts to locate and safely recover victims, creating tense and emotional RP moments. Why this could improve RP: If implemented carefully, this kind of storyline could lead to some of the most memorable RP on the server. Because it naturally creates ongoing consequences and emotional investment, it encourages stories that feel impactful rather than crimes that start and end in a single session. This should function more like a narrative event system than a gameplay mechanic. That means: No automatic payouts. No farming mechanics. No repeatable “missions." Staff approval required for major arcs. Heavy consequences for criminals. The goal is to create investigation RP, not a new crime meta. How it could actually work: Instead of anyone being able to start this RP, criminal groups would have to apply to staff with a storyline proposal. This would include: Who is involved. The intended story direction. Boundaries and rules. Expected duration. How escalation would work. Staff could then approve, deny, or modify it to make sure it stays appropriate and story-driven. This would prevent people from using it irresponsibly. This will also give the approved staff a more proactive role in the community. The guy in the clip claimed I was following him at first, which he said as I was literally walking away (not only that but you can see him walking around for a whole minute while I was tabbed out). After he said that, I was planning to go up to him and whisper something random but he pulled the gun almost immediately. If he would have said something like "get away or im gonna kill you" or some valid threat, I would have just walked away. The only reason I shot was because I thought he would shoot first (guy seems like a minge to me). He made an in game ticket and I tried to explain that he pointed a gun at me, which I thought at the time is a valid reason to shoot back, but Velocity said it was RDM baiting (something I've never done nor do I tolerate). I could see how he would think that, and I don't think his reasoning was bad either. On his side of things, I rdm'd the same guy a bit earlier before the ban bc he was saying some very disrespectful shit to me and people I know. This led to me making the mistake of shooting him for no RP reason. I don't have many recent RDM PO's (only a 2 or 3 in the past eight months) reflected by the short ban I received. I would like to apologize for crashing out on this guy during my first interaction with him, it was unwarranted and out of the ordinary compared to my normal behavior. He's been involved with Taka for way more than a week IC/OOC and I've observed plenty of good roleplay from him, I'm pretty sure it was me who hired him. Mugging only becomes an issue when the (((wrong person))) gets mugged, has a baby bitch fit and cries to the admins. If you're mugging people everyday then there would definitely be an issue, however there are many factors for one to avoid being mugged and if it happens to someone, it's on them. I've been mugged before and haven't let my guard down since, it hasn't happened to me again and never will (no I will not knock on wood). Out of all my muggings on Hans since being back, I have only pk'd a few people. Also, the clip someone provided somewhere above this of me only mugging someone with no value is about the only clip of me mugging someone with no value. So, get your facts straight and quit acting like all I did on the server was mass mug and minge. You, just like a lot of the people in the server, just don't like people mugging, it's as simple as that. I have written in a document every mug I have done on my Hans character since being back and only 2 of them didn't have serious value. Sure, there was a rare occasion where I was in an alley and couldn't see that someone didn't have serious value. But acting like that's all I went for is completely wrong. Never did I mass mug, NITRP, or PK hunt. I only hear people complaining about the mugging problem and never telling people to put their gun on safety in alleyways. I understand from Calinks perspective on the reason of the ban being permanent, understandable reaction due to Canadians terms But can we clarify what a mugging character is before continuing shitposting this thread? You may mug one person / singular group of people every 15 minutes. Mugging again immediately, before allowing the timer to expire will be considered Mass Mugging. Realistically you must lay low after mugging someone. Mass mugging in order to to PK people, or 'PK hunting' / being 'PK hungry' is not permitted. If an Admin feels like you're doing things intentionally for no regard for actual roleplay they may deny your PK requests issue according punishments There are other instances where killing someone during a mugging will not result in a PK. - Such as not giving the person reasonable time to react to your demands - Ordering them to use certain game functions they don't have to comply with or making unreasonable demands (Drop items/cash, hit f7, give me your f3, commit suicide, etc) - If you disengage fear rp and they attempt to flee or fight back - You fail to specify that they are being mugged/fail to properly initiate a mugging - A fail mug location or mass mugging However it does say that PK baiting is against the rules in #2 on the list. Mass mugging does not apply to this situation, nor does mugging character. The cause of this should've been from the initial effortless mugging that could have been instead of "put your hands up" - been one of the 2 mugging the guy to restrain them. However a perma for this seems a little steep. The mugging rules need some more clarification, and I cant stress enough the 2 bans I have on record for racket abuse and how Canadian/Pendred had changed the rules to further clarify the rule (which had ultimately helped lots of others understand the rule further.) Hello, After reviewing the evidence this is not RDM Bait, you were minding your own business standing near the ATM, eventually wandering a different direction compared to the ticket maker when he asked you to stop following him, since he user gave you 3 warnings that you needed to stop following him after you were actually following him, it escalated properly with him aiming his gun at you, being an active threat towards you, sucks to be him though because he forgot he had no ammo in his magazine, as you can hear on the clip you provided aswell that **click** sound from his pistol that he had no ammo. Though if you knowingly had an ooc issue/sit with that player before it's probably wise to stay away from them for a bit instead of possibly instigating a new conflict.
