Our faction is based on a real-world group (The Galician Mafia), meaning we will have ties to real-world history. In the 1970s, the Galician Mob began using fishermen to smuggle cigarettes through European borders and into Spain. With boats leaving from the US allowing for a state-based monopoly, the individuals stationed in New York will continue to do what their ancestors did before them, getting cocaine from New York and pushing it back out into the waters under the disguise of fishing. Through the 1980s, the pressure continued to rise on American drug markets and cartels. The Galician Mob continued to utilize these established routes, shifting their focus to more lucrative items such as money laundering and the infiltration of politics, individuals in power, and legal networks. Apparel The faction has the intention to wear a relaxed clothing scheme. We will not force our members to wear certain apparel, opening the door to individual diversity in terms of custom apparel, etc. However, at times we may wear suits during certain roleplay situations. We have no issue with members wearing relaxed clothing as long as it doesn't stray too far from our factions ethnicity. Restaurant We’d like to turn the West Side Drug Store into our restaurant of choice. We have the intention of having the interior altered and changed for our purposes, as our faction has background ties to “fishing,” and we’d like to explore that side of the server in terms of fishing on the docks. Our intentions are angled toward the idea of fishing as a whole, as it ties into our background. Faction Goals Fishing wasn’t good enough for us—working too hard and getting not enough in terms of pay. We have the intention of distributing our racket through the city. Our goals consist of importing and exporting useful items through New York, making money, and possibly being in a position of power within the city. On a side note, we’d like to push out weekly fishing competitions highlighting the fishing side of New York. We aim to provide for our fellow fishermen and push forward the fishing community, whether that be giving out prizes and rewards to those who compete, or having a custom DUP for the area when we go through with it. We would like to smuggle weaponry and illicit substances obtained in New York back to Spain/Mexico for profit. Hiring Process Instead of hiring white shirts off the side of the road, dressing them, and forcing them to work in Don Pez, we plan to make sure they are a suitable fit for the faction—maybe taking them out to the docks for some fishing. Having them prove themselves to our ranking infrastructure, or even putting them to work after a small but necessary screening process. After all, Don Pez is well known for its diversity in food, taste, and employees. In terms of the screening process, we will have our soon-to-be employees out completing small tasks for us, such as making deliveries, handling any outstanding debts we may be owed, and showing not only their worth but their value. The situation today happened because someone took a IC photo of another Lucchese who was taking photos of them. This resulted in everyone coming over and starting a situation outside of the meat market ending in some words being exchanged. I exchanged some words back because vinny had previously said some words against me as well as a bunch of lucchese saying some very horrible words towards me that can effect **IRL** Consciences for any info on those messages u can dm me. This resulted in a sitdown asking for the death of my character and presumably ended there. Until my Ban. I will put my hands up and say that was a very dumb decision to talk back to those issues. I believe my many roles on the server such as, First Deputy Commissioner, Underboss, First Deputy Mayor, Councilman, FBI, Staff was to push for more roleplay especially my most recent run in Crim rp where I believe. I was a advocate for more roleplay on the server by (Although not deemed very nice by most) reporting members for breaking RP as well as creating and coordinating player ran roleplay events. Hear me out boys i'm about to cook!!1!!11!!!! Dedicated spawning pads for properties. If your property has any type of garage or loading dock etc. you can go ahead and spawn cars there if you have perms on the property. Now if we don't want this to just make the car dealer obsolete, those spawning pads can work as follows; You "deposit" your car when you drive it on there and you can take it out once after. The despawn timers and all that would stay the same BUT these spawning pads wouldn't be able to just spawn your vehicle, you'd have to have placed your vehicle in there, basically if it hasn't been placed in there it can't get taken out and if it has been placed in there it can only get taken out once until you place it back in there.

I've been asked to take my comment on the outstanding post and publish my own thread regarding this topic, enjoy the read Think about it, Take the average player who joins MafiaRP. They go through life trying to dodge police interactions because they know that could lead to a slippery slope resulting in a Felony which limits them severely, and oh God, everyone's avoiding that looming PK sentence. The average player is evading the police awhile navigating years of interrelated MafiaRP politics where he is walking on eggshells trying to climb the ladder of Diverge. Doing so involves participating in activities that could very well get him killed such as events like this past weekend. So he stays in line, doing whatever he is told to do and not stepping out of line. If he wants the capability to even challenge someone? He needs to grind at least 2 hours to acquire enough money to buy his first gun, losing it on each death that may or may not be compensated for RDM. Grinding and grinding for the other luxuries in life. **THAT** is how a criminal prevents himself from being PK'ed -> Keeping his head down, and grinding. A cop? Gets recruited as a cadet, has to go through training that is immediately overridden by the "status quo" of the bad habits of current street cops who often tip toe the line and sometimes might "push the envelope" of police conduct. Those are the ranks he's being raised in, fearing no evil, no threat of the end of his life. Police are living life on easy mode, like a doe that has yet to leave their mother. The police don't need to grind, they have no incentive to grind. They have one purpose -> spin the perpetual door of LegalRP. "Hook them and book them." I suggest the following: Make a couple PK rules prohibiting the occasional event of a police officer steps out of line, like a criminal does, which results in a PK.

This dude holiday has been talking about this for a week or so now, along with other recommendations for the penal code and other aspects of legal rp. Not everything is about you.

I agree that the simplest resolution to the police not having any regard for their life should be having FearRP work both ways. There's no reason a cop or two should be able to arrest someone while being threatened by the criminals faction/friends without having to fear for their life in the process. Make it more important for cops to coordinate their arrests and attempt to take control of the situation instead of actively ignoring the 5+ armed people surrounding them without fear. This entire suggestion, specifically the FearRP aspect, is wonderful and would bring a little more balance to MAFIARP.

Raiding properties to get your targets is fine, raiding properties to take stuff warrants a PK. This prevents people using the event to attempt to circumvent raiding pks

Maybe there could also be options to make more realistic ID's with the crafting system? Like a regular cheap ID would only really fool a Cadet and Junior officer (I forgor the rank that comes after cadet) a regular phony ID can fool an (Patrol) Officer-Senior officer and a Good quality ID can fool junior detectives and Patrol corporals Ofc these would need to be very difficult to achieve and create but just food for thought

Unfortunately this incident escalated far beyond some lines it seems. Bringing IRL/OOC shit into stuff is equally unecessary and stupid fro. All parties. But.. I feel like this situation/how it was handle by players was more of a symptom of a bigger problem at hand, which does need addressing.. But the fact this guy got permad and made an appeal shows he wants to be here, and frankly he's should be. Sure people hate him or love him, but he's a good lad and is a quality player. I would request the team to sleep on it and give him a reduced sentence from perma. +1

Be cautious! If you are killed while committing a mugging you have the possibility of being PK'ed (Permanently killed)! 2. You may not mug in a public place, you can, however, pull a weapon on them and bring them to a secluded area to rob them (This can only be done when there is no one else around. EXAMPLE: The victim is alone at night in the middle of an empty street. You initiate a mugging with your firearm and take them to an alleyway so no one stumbles upon the crime. You may not perform the mugging in the street, which is a public area.) - You may only pull them a reasonable distance (To the closest secluded area). Forcing them to follow you or pulling the victim long distances / across the map / crossing into public areas & streets is illogical and can be seen as fail mug. Your secluded location should be the closest, within a reasonable distance. 9. There are several ways you may initiate a mugging, the following actions can be considered initiation of a mugging: - Attempting to Zip tie someone [Does not apply if you BAIT people into tying you by saying they may or by stealing their items, therefore forcing them to tie you to retrieve them.] And finally 21. Let's think about this very real scenario that could happen and does happen in the server, one faction goes to another and starts hassling them, there's proper RP going between the factions and tensions start to rise, things start to escalate. Somebody pulls out a weapon, then another one and then another one, just for intimidation purposes. Random Officer walks by and sees this group of armed individuals, now in a real scenario back in the day the single cop would either call for backup and wait it out or he would let them do their thing out of fear for his own safety, but this is Diverge Cops Vs Robbers so what does the officer do? He brings out his taser and starts trying to tase the armed individuals because he knows, that at the end of the day all he can lose is the couple bucks he spent on the gear and ammo he got from the precinct, while they stand to lose hundreds of hours spent on their characters. I keep yappin about all this because the state of CopRP is INSANE when it comes to a fucking "MafiaRP" server. It would make sense if this was like CityRP where you can make your money and spend your time doing a wide variety of shit but the focus of the gamemode is the MAFIA, and with all that we keep seeing cop mains bitching on the forums.

Is it an autistic suggestion? Yes. Is most of diverge autistic? Definitely. There's no way this is a hard addition and there's no way it impacts server resources.

I understand where you and the others are coming from. But if you're roleplaying as a mafioso in a city with rival gangs, does it make sense to know who is going to kill you next before they kill you? In a Garry's Mod server, I get that there are RDM rules. Yet, if a rival gang pays someone to murder a member of another gang regardless if that person they paid is part of theirs, then that sounds like a very plausible roleplay scenario.
