What server rule or PK rule was violated?: from my understanding the officer recognized me on a diff char and started messing with me after seeing me pull a gun on someone trying to mug me in front of PD. when he started talking he asked for ID, I provided it and it apparently didnt go through as he claimed he didn't have my name, I put my name in chat and he kept asking. I assumed he was just messing with me so I walked away that's when he chased me and started trying to taze me, I kept ignoring and blocking because again I assumed he was fucking with me and we kept going till we got back to where I worked and he tased me, let me go, and then tried again. I saw it as bodily harm and pulled my gun out and started to defend myself to get him to leave me along and was gunned down. I tried to ask him why he did all that and he said it started as him fucking with me than he was actually not getting my ID and then went to actually arrest me and that was where my confusion was. If I knew he was done fucking with me and was actually trying to RP I would have complied. afterwords I was on the character for a couple more hours doing more work, helping with other interactions and just Rping. I went to sleep 4 hours later with no contact from any staff asking about the incident or asking for my point of view. I log back on the next day, 14 hours later and I had just been Pked and was unable to get on the Character. no contact in game or through my discord asking for my point of view or anything. it was my understanding the situation was OOC and he was just messing with me after watching someone try to attack and mug me with a knife in front of PD. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: none of my clips go far back enough so I have none. Im at the mercy of staff and the officer because It was my confusion that I thought the situation was OOC.

When I originally appealed I had put so much effort into it. In this appeal I am going to say a few things. I have made some stupid mistakes in the past and want some redemption. Okay, I am going to start off by apologizing to Pendred, Canadian-Bacon, and the rest of the staff team during this occurrence. I know I am not really known or anything because I have only tracked like a couple hours on Mafia-RP. Guess i never said it here but the mansion AREA (strip that leads up to it and mansion itself) can be rehauled into a "industrial" block it doesnt need to be pretty could be literally anything lower end like townhouses, factory buildings, convenience/liquor stores OR could be a "Wallstreet" like block with professional buildings / luxury restaurants a potential mini world corp to make the world corp slaves shut up OR another urban area more clubs / bars / entertainment like a block LITERALLY the ideas and potential over there is insane (now this is in theory as well of HOW MUCH the area can fit truly) obviously nothing happens overnight a new area of properties could really shake up things for new coming factions or existing ones to move elsewhere changing up the environment also this would provide just more general stuff in the northern end of the map as it is imo incredibly dead no reason to go over there unless you’re one of the few that has to own a property there this change would be benefiting all nearby buildings to continue RP to the area (7/12, gun store thats never used but can be with this change adding relevance, warehouse, laundromat, etc) overall would be a major update / upgrade to the northern side the mansion could be "under utilized" but there's realistically only so much you can do after you use it a few times, obviously a little bit more you could do BUT its owned by the government which never uses it and when you rent it youre under government watch and limited to what you can use the building for overall theres just way more to gain and benefit the entire community with something the people can utilize and move around not a fat chunk just sitting there (its pretty much the old maps harbor warehouse that was in the far corner just sitting there the gov mansion corner/area is a ghost town.)

Hello, 4Lights pretty much summed it up quite well and quoted the relevant rules Your intentions of shooting the officer are quite apparent. The attempt was made, therefore starting a violent confrontation with police in which you died in. Per the rules this is ground for a PK. Additionally to your point of the officer maybe making an attempt to arrest you, if it there was loads of times between you pulling the weapon and the trigger, and him shooting you, I would be a bit more sympathetic towards this. Though, he reacted nearly instantly basically starting to shoot just as you began putting away your weapon. To him you were still an active threat with intentions of killing him.

Hey there PKing staff. Your character was PKed for initiating a violent confrontation with police, by pulling your gun on the officer as he was arresting someone else. Your gun having no bullets in this circumstance is irrelevant. The act of pointing the gun at the police, in this case, is counted as 'initiating a violent confrontation'. I'm not sure with the speed of how the events unfold, that the officer failed to do due diligence. As at the time, it could be taken as a credible threat against his life and I do not see this as an execution. TO recap:

issue was it was never actually used though, once you stepped inside you were completely prone to being robbed making it a literal ghost town property where people just jumped off of it if it was to return it would potentially need to have a government purpose/city purpose building (maybe a government hotel essentially but with businesses where citizens can safely own individual/legal businesses) OR (put NPCs inside that can be utilized/negating mugs) the idea of people being able to own one of those offices for their private businesses was incredibly good and ive seen great RP with the offices for both business/legal work but it cant be executed safely/effectively unfortunately due to as already mentioned

-1 Several and I say several notes for many different things. Yes you do provide decent RP to the server but to go and Doxx someone is a whole other story. I have said this from day one: Remove the governor's mansion. I understand it's a cool idea, but it benefits no one. The idea that factions would rent it out was a good idea, but I guess I don't know this for sure. I'm sure that aspect was rarely used. Instead, I think an open park like the one on the New York map would be a good fit. I don't know if townhouses would work, but there are few reasons for people to come to the north besides my faction properties and De Leons. I'm not sure how everyone would feel about adding something of important in the north. There should be something interesting in each section of the map. I don't hate the World Corp idea as much but In my eyes would be another useless property no one goes to besides to PK their characters. Now, going forward my suggestions are just things that I think in the future more factions leaders would like and even current factions. Remove gun store #2 serves no purpose whatsoever. If it's a property whose only purpose is to buy ammo from it, make it non-ownable, or here's an idea make someone with a gun racket buy it. I understand this is not favorable, especially to the factions that have gun rackets but if no one buys it (Besides Brown and Sons who sold it soon after and no one else has tried to buy it) then it should be replaced by a building that can serve better RP. Change the Laundromat into the liquor store from Union City the one that has an upstairs. It's no secret that these types of properties like the 7/12 and the Restaurant by hardware are prime buildings to want to have. I think there would be more attention to want this type of property than the current laundromat. I think maybe taking a look at the cafe from Union City. Whenever the union city had a server I'm sure this was one of the best buildings to own as far as RP goes. It brings something unique into the server. I know we already have a "Coffee Shop" but, this one feels more grand and could bring some nice RP to whichever faction owns it. as far as anything dotted around the city like trees, newspaper dispensers and things like that looks fine I guess you would have to be the judge of that cause I honestly cant think of an area that would need more or less of this. I know everyone reading this and most likely Pendred as well. These are suggestions that I feel as a faction leader can bring RP to the server. As a new faction leader, It's hard to want to spend tons of money for a property that will not only not benefit you financially but will most likely not give you any RP benefits. There are no properties right now that I want to go for because either #1 I would spend double or even triple the amount of money I already spend and #2 It would not increase my faction's RP ability. I do all of this in a townhouse just fine. With that being said I know this is most likely not something you will take into mind as I'm sure you just want to make little changes here and there but I still want to voice my opinion on the things that could be improved thus far. Otherwise, Good map.

A construction site with only the foundation like stairs, floors, columns and a crane would be cool, could help anyone trying to do union RP or use it as a public building property.

I miss the Town houses!!! or if we could've have more apartment houses. But have them as only temporary use. Like the ghetto. Meaning no company can own them.

I have few notes for RDM and I do not think I deserve such a harsh punishment. Absolutely none. I came back to these forums when I heard that THE most important staff member of my era was banned. Diverge Networks would never be the same without him. Without Jmoorsey I think I would have to go on strike and quit playing Diverge as a method of protest. Thank god I still play every day and would never move on from such a beautiful city.

I will say, it would be cool to have more MCs in the server. To provide roleplay via rivalry would be cool, but I will say, I'm not a huge fan of directly ripping off an IRL club. More in-depth original ideas / creative writing would've been nice to see. I also would've appreciated more backstory on the club itself, not just your character. I think if this is refined a bit this could be a good faction.
