As many of you may have noticed, there has been a noticeable rise in criminal activity committed solely for the purpose of obtaining felony status and gaining access to certain benefits. I agree with the benefits, as felons can no longer legally own a firearm license or carry a firearm without committing a crime. However, there should be a system in place that allows criminal faction members to access those same products and equipment without having to rely on receiving a felony charge. The Idea: - Felons receive a 25% or 50% discount on products that were previously locked behind felony status; - Felons receive +1 extra unit when crafting equipment that was previously felon-locked. These products and equipment also become available for criminal factions to purchase or craft, without requiring felony status.

Hello! Phones are pretty useless once you get out of the stage of doing random street deals, i personally used one again for the first time today after probably over a year and it got me thinking. I have a few ideas that could make phones more usable. 1. A voice mail system. If your phone call doesn't get answered of connected, allow for a short message to be sent. These can be seen by the person your attempting to call when they next log on, giving them your number and your message. 2. Landlines. This ties in with the first idea a little. Allow business to have a landline phone within their property. They will be able to publicly advertise this number to allow for example, reservations of tables as restaurants, placing orders for firearms at gun stores and stock checks at clothing stores. 3. This idea is a little ambitious but a sim system. Allow users to purchase sim cards to get new numbers instead of buying a whole new phone each time. This can be a physical item that can be swapped in and out of phones. This could allow for more in-depth detective role play if a phone was used in the commission of a crime. ( Also, as a little side idea to make phones more realistic, make some sims more expensive to allow more calls, while this may be seen as annoying i think it could make the role play experience a little more fun, E.G, you run out of calls for the day and need to either pay for more or take the risk of attempting to approach either someone you know or someone on the streets. I did not take it off of safety either. Affirmatively rulewise, this is not a valid PK for the following reasons: 1. He initiated the mugging in front of a witness, the person I was speaking to in the beginning of my clip. 2. He did not give me the 5 seconds of reaction time minimum. 3. I, physically did not make any move to kill him, I was highly confused about what was going on and I could not comply in time due to a very obvious ping disparity. Even on his end, he didn't give me enough time to react. 4. He did not make it clear that he was mugging me, as is required here, from the PK guidelines in the mugging/robbery section: There are other instances where killing someone during a mugging will not result in a PK. - Such as not giving the person reasonable time to react to your demands - Failed to do this on even his end without the lag disparity. - Ordering them to use certain game functions they don't have to comply with or making unreasonable demands (Drop items/cash, hit f7, give me your f3, commit suicide, etc) - If you disengage fear rp and they attempt to flee or fight back - You fail to specify that they are being mugged/fail to properly initiate a mugging - Failed to do this, period. - A fail mug location or mass mugging

Banning admin here, I watched you and your friend drive around and mess with cops for absolutely no reason. Then I kept watching you as you drove around and hit people with your car (killing one civ near Chinatown) and just ramming into other cars constantly. I must have watched you for at least 20-30 minutes, and you were doing everything but actually RP. It's not just about cop baiting, just generally NITRP and being total minges. This ruins the fun for those who actually enjoy the game, even though you may have a different opinion on what fun might be.

Yeah, I was suggesting this in pager. Restricting to felons is absurd and obnoxious. Maybe just offer people a discount as felons at most.

Voice messages could be cool, possibly prerecord instructions, or training guides. Some concerns with how the ingame pager is used and people using it to minge. Phones for businesses make sense, possibly have them pay for a 'special number'. But a strict landline attached to a wall. I think would be a little bit of a nuisance. As a follow up, I think adding a code you could add to your phone. That gives you access to any 'business call' made to the business, would be a better implementation. Sim cards weren't manufactured till 1991, I think adding them is a little redundant, may account for a pointless price increase. As opposed to just getting another phone.

hey, pking and banning admin here! so to expand upon the situation as Riggs described it you had left while being arrested. as some people do that we wait the 10 minute timer for a ban but your logs indicate you did it 3 times in which all of them YOU disconnected by yourself, not timed out. The logs show a different word choice if its by you or an issue. Secondly, during the sit you and your friend admitted to being in vc for the whole interaction with the cops and after. This can be shown when he had mentioned inside the sit how you told him to kill you to free you and coincidently you forgot about your gun. the big issue comes from you leaving yourself multiple times while getting arrested then having your friend kill you to get rid of the gun the cops were going after you for THEN dropping all items to connect you to the scene, nonetheless it was 4 seconds after you loaded your char to one headshot. sadly I dont have it clipped as at the time i didnt think to record it but im a bit confused as I informed you in the sit as to why you were being pked and that it would happen as you admitted your friend killed you to avoid the situation and stop the situation with the cops.

Hi i was the officer on scene at the time of first contact. We attempted to stop you due to the firearm you possessed, upon making contact we told you to get up against the wall and put your hands up. You "Crashed". After speaking to some of your other members i told them to get you back in the city and if you are found being locked inside the club house i would arrest all of them for obstruction of justice. You came back in for a few minutes and then disconnected. The last time you reconnected we had staff bring you to the original scene so we could arrest you. We took you back to the station to process you and when searching you, we found that you had removed all the clothes from your person and the firearm you had on yourself. We called staff and the staff member Yuki confirmed to me that you reconnected and were killed by your friend (IC cousin) Motzy. This then resulted in both of you being banned. Yuki did state that 2 out of the 3 disconnections were player side and he DID NOT loose connection to the server. Hope this helps UA make there decision on your unban.

imo just use phones for more rp my first year playing and i was in your same shoes but nowadays when introducing myself to somebody we always exchange #s and randomly calling your boys up icly is way better rp than dming them on discord also pendred has been working on a new phone system

Hello, I'm the admin who banned you. As shown in both your clip and the clip I was given by the individual who reported you, you ran a guy over and continued driving over him until he died. If you had just bumped into him initially and then driven away, you would not have received a ban. However, as shown in your clip, after initially hitting the guy and causing him to go unconscious and ragdoll, you slowed down for a brief second and then continued driving over him, causing him to die. Given that there was no reason for you to kill him, and not really any RP involved in this instance at all, this was a textbook example of VDM, and I issued a 12-hour ban.

Banning admin here, as I mentioned in your friend's appeal, you were doing anything but actual RP (ramming into cars/people etc), and yes, while I did let you go with just a note/warning for being a passenger most of the time, you did end up RDMing someone in the same night which lead to this ban (you left the server so I couldn't grab you). You paid some random guy $1000 to go and kill a certain individual who wasn't affiliated with you, and for absolutely no valid kill reason. Paying someone for hits is not against the rules, but it becomes RDM if it's not for a valid kill reason. I didn't avoid his threats because I complied with them. Then on another character I made I decided to start fresh and try to open a business myself that was a totally different business model from the one that was threatened away from me on my other character. I don't see how it is metagaming or char abuse when I concluded the rp situation on one character and left it at that. If I'd had known that what I was doing was metagaming then I would have refrained from doing what I have done. But, I honestly thought was I was doing was perfectly alright. I mean there was no business being conducted on my first character because it was all derived from talk in discord dms in trying to figure out how the enterprise would work and what would the makeup of the enterprise look like. So when I go back on my ten toes there would be no business to conduct or risk of retaliation since I complied with the threats already.

The business model was unique, totally different, and self-originated from the one on my other character that was discussed in discord dms between the other guy. He wanted to make a business dependent on construction which would have resulted in taxable income being produced. After the threat, I decided to make a new business model which would be able to derive non-taxable income using banking and insurance. The main point is that I did not want to have taxable income as a source of revenue for my business which makes it totally different from the other guys plan.

I have decided to change my appeal from a dispute to an apology. First off, I want to apologize for to the player I deprived by circumventing roleplay with a new character. It was unfair and improper on my part for which I am sorry. I also want to apologize for the countless people I have annoyed with the antics that I was doing on that character which wasted the time of other players. I guess I just had an idea that I thought would be cool for the server and for roleplay which made me overlook the prior interactions of my past character. Hubris got the best of me like it usually does and again I am sorry and remorseful for the actions that I have done.

You do know that if your disconnecting it can be up to 3000 seconds or some bullshit so I have def hit rejoin before to try to get back into the server witch would tell staff you dc by player and not connection speaking from a prior experience I had with staff when I was arrested and having internet issues i had a clip to prove don't see how this got pushed to a pk?) also watched this whole thing unfold (SOS)

Why was this raised to a PK? The rules of the server state that metagaming results in a ban or voiding of the RP situation. He looks to have served the ban so why the PK as well? Maybe I’m missing something in the rules?

@Drunken @Yuki Alright so we are going to stick to the assumption that I intentionally left (which is not the case and can have multitudes of individuals vouch to be witnesses), why would I bother in making this elaborate post? Yeah, I am sure people do this all the time, but this is also a first offense ordeal and a lot is based on assumption here without valid proof. Yes I am sure admins have to follow the logs, understandable coming from data analytics, BUT has it ever occurred errors do happen in systems. Fairly common but either way, along with errors, if i was such a fugitive and LEFT on my own according to logs then why not insta-ban/PK instead of waiting to do it? OR if remaining in RP, I would technically be a fugitive. Now if that is the case then why was no PD around when I suddenly connected back in but did not hear my char voice in game for someone to kill me so that I can be free? Overall, many questions on both ends seem to be unsure and unclear. To respond directly to the PD, if my char was such a criminal then PD should have never left the location of the "crime", especially with an abundance of PD being online during the night of 7/15/2025. My cousin unfortunately was the one that was able to make contact with his shot first so that I could be freed from restraints, but in no way can you be certain he was the only person involved in shooting my char. How can anyone be certain I didn't voice to all around me that I needed to be killed to be released from restraints? It is only speculated under pure assumption that we communicated outside of the server based of relation and an incident that occurred during the sit down with Yuki. In response to Yuki, I will stick to my story time and time again that I disconnected because it has been happening ever since joining the server, but such is life right? We move on, its a game, not life or death, it will boot back up EVENTUALLY. As I stated prior in this statement to PD, my cousin was the one that made contact with me first with his weapon, but in no way can it be proven he was the only on who shot/tried to free me from restraints. I understand it was 4 seconds after spawning in but as I stated, before I disconnected I voiced out to MULTIPLE individuals in GMOD/Diverge that I was in restraints and needed assistance. Once I respawned in, continuing to stick to the now fugitive RP, I ditched my belongings but that was only proven once you (Yuki) was called upon after I was already arrested. If you were never called upon the PD did not have any knowledge as to what weapon I had on me, if any. They speculated between two different handguns which Yuki had to later confirm but PD was unable to do themselves. During the sit down you did not inform me that my char would be PKd. I was attempting to explain my situation but was shortly gagged by you based off the assumption I was lying from the logs you are viewing. You then pulled my cousin into the sit down and we attempted to communicate to each other, as well as both Yuki & PD, but my char was still gagged. Me and my cousin only could communicate by calling each other but once you heard my voice come through his mic it was a near insta-ban for Metagaming. Truly, if I was informed that I was PK'd I wouldn't be sitting here typing out a small thesis, hell if I had weapons then I might as well had fought back because there's not much of a point, at least to me to have a char PK'd like this, but how ya doin...

Almost forgotten info but to my knowledge the DD is an open carry facility. The PD was attempting to arrest me based off of the assumption of seeing me with a weapon while my char was inside of the DD. Wouldn't this be an immediate breach of any arrest here considering its not only based off assumptions but also arresting an individual who are allowed to brandish weapons inside of the facility/DD?

Another idea might be to make the felons more resistant to the taser (they have to take a whole cycle of the taser and they also recover from it more quickly), making it easier for them to escape from the authorities.

I undertsand that but it wasn't in my intention for the guy to just go up and RDM him. He never told me how he was going to do it and I didn't tell him just to go up and shoot him so I feel like he should also be held accountable. Also to reply to axcurs I was on my main all day grinding and rping I was only on that character for that little sliver at night. Also before you say that character is just a "minge" character it is not. I have created many RP situations on that character and I am also quite known as that character aswell. I also didn't vdm or kill anyone that night I didn't even get pulled for that or even banned for that so I don't know where the VDM charge comes in. I was in a car yes but I was not the driver at any of those points.

Anyway, the main issue with this pk is 1 thing. There *might* be some disagreements about the timing of the fear RP and the timing of him pulling a gun; which came first, but frankly he had guns on him and they were obviously there to mug him and he knew that and he took the risk. Maybe there's a discussion to be had about it, but it's irrelevant. The only thing that is an issue here is one of the muggers is a minge character. The only RP he actually partakes in is baiting cops and shooting them. This appeal is accepted.
