  2. Hello, As stated by Geo_Zeus who actually did a pretty good job, the rules state as simple, The only officers who may plain clothes are detective unless given explicit permission. Officers (plain clothes) who do decide to engage with suspects must be properly identified by said suspect. Through Monaclus clip we can see that the suspect did engage with another uniformed officer but had his back turned by the time Monaclu did decide to step in and shoot the suspect. Monaclu himself states that he was participating in an event and between locations, he shouldn't have been involved in the arrest or the shooting since he was not uniformed and lacked the proper equipment to even arrest if he was able to. "Policework" should typically be done within PD if it is paperwork, otherwise pointed out by others should require proper equipped and uniformed officers. Your appeal has been reviewed and accepted. Your character has been reinstated and can be used again.
  3. Regardless of the zones painted on the OLD map, NPC placement supersedes the old zones painted on the mugging map. Plus, this is just to be considered in the other clusterfuck of mistakes these muggers won't own up to and what was blatantly disregarded and ignored without being looked at before the PK was issued. It's easy fro staff to PK a character that isn't theirs and be so blase about it but I know if it were them they'd scream failmug and point out the same things I did. You don't down your gun or turn away from someone you're trying to mug and you need to give clear instructions. That remains the foundation of my argument- I wasn't even under Fear RP. I just think the actual mugging being invalid should be *considered* as a potential factor. Meaning there's several issues here, which should have been considered BEFORE a PK was just forced on me in this stupid ass situation.
  4. If I remember correctly you were running around in a white shirt shooting red coats in revenge of somebody RDM'ing you which regardless if the guy did RDM you (he didn't) it would still be revenge RDM. You weren't in any fear of losing anything because the redcoat you gunned down literally had his back turned to you. All the claims you have made are lies, I have also literally never heard of you in my life as memorable as the name "WARCRIMES KonradKoconut" is. You have taken 0 accountability for your actions and have shown no remorse, so I don't believe you should be unbanned and should serve out the 3 days like anybody else would. I also went out of my way to check what faction you are before replying and I was banned from the Popov discord the day before the event so it would be literally IMPOSSIBLE for me to shit talk in your faction server. good luck on your appeal
  5. Thank you for applying to the Diverge Networks staff team! It is my pleasure to inform you that your application has been accepted. Submit a ticket on our Discord for training and to get setup.
  6. Thank you for applying to the Diverge Networks staff team. Unfortunately, your application has been denied. You may apply again in 30 days. You may apply sooner if you receive permission from a Super Administrator or higher.
  7. It does specify on the mugging map that the green zones are NPC Vision. While the NPC is not actually included in the map, it's pretty safe to say, like most other shipment or buyer NPCs, he would be confined to his paddock and not see outside of that.
  8. Attempts to abuse sit script and general NITRP evident. Ban is justified.
  9. Hello, Looking at logs it its very clear that you did get into a fight and even a shootout with members of the same faction. Your appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this PK to be reasonable and/or justified. You may not re-appeal this PK.
  10. Similar situation that was already deemed a valid mug. However in this current situation that we are dealing with right now, he was still in the street when being put under fear rp. I get its pretty bang bang, but the proof is in the pudding pal. Take it to the chin already.
  11. Hello, I am the banning moderator. From the information I was provided including clips and testimony from other individuals, you were attempting to glitch into the Police Department by sitting in the window and trying to jump through. Both that and the clip of you spawning inside of the Police Department, being chased by a cop with a taser, and then as soon as you see him you leave to go to another character was the primary reason for your ban. Coupled with both of those pieces of information, I checked your note history and you have a history of LTARP being warned by calink on the 25th of June. Best of luck on your appeal.
  12. Today
  13. Your Character or Steam Name: Pageboy Keegay Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): STEAM_0:1:175432879 Your Discord ID#: owner2913 Reason for ban: LTARP Length of ban: Three days Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Apology Why should you be unbanned? I was banned for leaving to avoid RP. I was in the PD (behind door) with my audio bugged. I switched characters and switched right back. Cop apparently has a clip of him trying to tase me before I switch characters. I did not see any of this because I was in character select screen. I'm not sure how he missed me while I was standing still and blind but I didn't see the clip so who knows. After I switch back, I explain that I'm stuck in PD and someone lets me out. Later, I get pulled into a sit and told that someone accused me of LTARP and that I will be banned for three days. I asked him how I was avoiding RP when I switched right back to the same character and was let out. Admin replied I could appeal the ban if I felt it was unjust. I didn't intentionally LTARP, so I am sorry and will not do it again.
  14. I have been urged to show the evidence that also might prove this as a complete failmug from the get-go due to NPC witnesses. That is not the foundation of my initial argument, but really just goes to show how poorly executed the initial mugging was. This could have gone down as a proper and legit mugging if it had been coordinated better and I had two guys on me and the one guy hadn't turned/dropped his gun and had given clear demands/commands to me. However, this whole thing may be invalid. Here are the arguments presented:
  15. Yesterday
  16. Hey aint there a npc at the back of the clothing store pretty sure that's in his field of view
  17. I appreciate it. I still need to work on some things but constructive criticism is always helpful.
  18. I believe that you misunderstand how the mugging works and how common sense works as well. Let's pose a scenario where I wanted to mug someone. The biggest concerns while mugging are (or at least SHOULD be) if I will be receiving a punishment through my crime family or through the police. Inherently, if you're reporting a mugging to either higherups in your faction or to the police, you have to DESCRIBE THE ASSAILANT. If I say, "A man who was wearing a white shirt and jeans mugged me!!!", then lo and behold, it's going to be almost impossible to find the person since that's just the default clothing. The same goes for real-life mugging, if I didn't want to be caught, I would probably put on something non-descript like a mask and black clothing so that it makes the police's job 100x harder to find me since half of the population walks around with that on everyday. Secondly, I don't really see the comparison with the precedent given. Racket Wars on Diverge Networks are just flat out unrealistic. The entire concept is that you walk up and kill someone so that you can have a more expensive drug, which goes on for hours on end. Additionally, this is only locked to certain groups of criminals at a time. The entire point of the Racket War is to open yourself up to police action in exchange for potentially getting a better drug to make more money. The reason it would be unfair to wear a white shirt during a Racket War is because the entire point of the event is to avoid getting caught while doing openly illegal things on the street. The exact opposite is true of mugging. The goal of mugging is to successfully take things off of a person in a private setting. The rules of mugging reflect this value of privacy during a mugging as they created a color-coded map to describe which places were private enough so that you could mug someone. The two functions of Diverge are opposite in their nature, and it's not really fair to compare the two. Anyways, -1 from me. People will complain until the day Diverge shuts down that mugging is either too lenient or too restrictive. Can't please them all.
  19. -1 After doing a bit of my own research into previous bans as I truly don't recall many roleplay encounters I have had with you, I can't in good conscious recommend you for staff. I am all about second chances, but from your ban & note history, it seems like you've been given upwards of 30 by my count. The last note issued to you was in April, which leaves less than 3 months since your last infraction. I think this staff application would be different in many ways if this were made maybe 6 months since your last infraction or maybe even a year, but it seems that's not the case. I find it far-fetched that you are truly "reformed" after literal years of minging and rule breaking. Staff members are inherently the role models for how roleplay should be conducted on the server when it comes to behaving during roleplay and actually following the rules, and it seems like you are a sort of antithesis from the history I'm reading. Like I mentioned though, I don't know you. All of this information is simply the objective records of your history from the past. If people other than your minge friends can attest to your seriousness I may end up editing this post and changing my opinion, but until significant time has passed since your last infraction or enough people truly stick their neck out for you, I don't think you would be a good addition to the staff team.
  20. What a reach, making up your scenario of what you think is true and running with it as if it were fact. Talking like the notion of "There's an event going on so the police are pre-disposed so that's why I will do illegal shit and not get caught" can even be proven as true. Yes those two statements are in conflict with eachother because you made them up to be in conflict with eachother, that's what we call a strawman argument. So, no, you cannot prove that Akira acted in bath faith abusing the event going on to do what he did. The fact that a cop actually came for him disproves that whole notion. You wanna know what can actually be and has been proven? The fact that you as a plainshirt NOT RPing as a Sargeant and NOT following the proper rules and etiquette should not have gotten involved at all, nevertheless go out of your way after to PK the character all by yourself.
  21. Im that serious, if i grossly screw up - I will happily take a perma ban on the chin.
  22. first time hearing omerta's voice. so soft and sweet
  23. Street smarts, my guy.. street smarts... Okay sure if you get mugged by whiteshirts, it becomes incredible difficult to find out who they are with very limited information, especially if they're masked up [...remember street smarts? your gut should be yelling at you at this point if a whiteshirt is following you masked up]. White shirts also dont pop out of no where... if you're a target, they've either been scouting you for a short while and you just didnt perceive them, or they're driving around in a late 2010s hyper car and just hot drop on your ass. At this point prevention, ICly, is the biggest thing that can help and Street Smarts.
  24. Admin who issued the PK here. You clearly knew what was going on. You were held at gunpoint early in the interaction. The person who killed you stated, “Don’t fucking move,” yet you continued to move backwards and pulled out your gun. Also, I’m not really sure why you mentioned me by name in the appeal. I was not involved in this mugging. During your interaction with me, you kept dropping your Omertà name like I was supposed to know who you were. I’m assuming it hurt your ego when I didn’t, since you LTAPed immediately after.
  25. That is a fair concern I'd say a few people share with you especially if you're judging me based on how I used to play. I do not pretend that i've never made any mistakes or pushed boundaries in the past. The difference is that I've made a conscious effort to improve, and I think my recent conduct reflects that. B As staff, I'd be expected to enforce the rules consistently, including on myself. If i would be staff, it would not hide my history or pretend it didnt happen; infact it would be the contrary, i'd be thoroughly locked in and any minor misconduct would give staff a reason to boot me off and put the nail in the coffin with my time here. I'd expect to be held accountable just like anyone else and have been held accountable for these actions. It wouldn't be fair to assume I'd ignore rule breaks because of things I did over half a year ago or year(s) ago. Btw it would only be hypocritical if I actively kept doing these points you mention.
  26. Application is well thought out, and I like the responses. The final situational question is a little rough in my opinion, as bias is omnipresent in every scenario, regardless of intent. The question isn't whether it exists, the question is how much of it is acceptable. Overall, very good application. +1
  27. I made a poster that I believe reflects Diverge Networks to the current state of RP
