You can't just look at that rule in a vacuum and interpret what you like from it, that's retarded. Looking at that rule and drawing that conclusion even though rule 16 right before it clearly defines the conditions for engaging police while rule 17 simply defines the parameters of what is a group member. I will merge 16 and 17, but that obviously isn't a valid argument here for unban.

Player report section on forums exist. While you may think this works in practice the reality is if a group of mouth breathing retards arbitrarily decide you're a minge you are getting blasted by everyone for no reason. You just want to satisfy a bloodlust. If you want to police the server so bad apply for staff.

I already answered that argument in my appeal. I did not attack you based on the authority given by Rule 16. As you can see in this screenshot, these are two separate rules. One is about showing your ID and the other clearly states in Rule 17 of the Killing Rules that I am allowed to attack police officers to protect other members of my group. This rule does not include any additional conditions or any statement preventing me from shooting you. If the person next to me is someone who has been with me for a while and has my F3 the rule allows me to attack the police to protect them in situations like this. Also even if we assume there were no other staff members available and you had to handle the ticket yourself, why didnt you pull me into a staff sit and punish me without even letting me explain what I've explained here? You didn't give me the slightest opportunity to defend my actions.

Hello! Normally, I would wait for another staff member to handle a ticket involving me but the only other two staff members online were afk or unresponsive. I banned you for rdm because you shot and killed both me and another officer when neither of us had made any attempt to arrest your friend. While it is true that if you know an officer is charging you or your friend with a felony during an arrest, you may kill the officer once they attempt to arrest or detain you/your friend, that was not the case here. Neither I nor the other officer had attempted to arrest your friend. Neither of us had our cuffs or taser out, nor did we say or do anything indicating that we were making an arrest. Had you waited until we attempted to arrest or detain your friend, it would have been considered fair game. After realizing no other staff member was available to handle the ticket, I reviewed your notes. If you had a relatively clean record, I likely would have just left a note and moved on. However, you have a total of six prior RDM notes and bans. Since this case involved me personally, and your last RDM note was back in December, I issued only a 2-day ban. Good luck~

Hello I am the person in the clip. First of all the reason my friend killed the Police Officers was because he had my F3 and Rule 17 of the Killing Rules allowed him to attack the officers to protect me. If you're wondering "Saving you from what?" he saved me from a situation where I was under a lawful order and could have ended up with felony charges. Based on the rule and my friend's explanation his actions were not against the Killing Rules. If he hadn't acted the illegal items I was carrying could have been discovered the officer could have checked my license and more, or any number of other outcomes that would have ended badly for me. In short I do not believe this can be considered RDM.

After you gave us a lawful order i knew that if you searched my group member while he was carrying a weapon, you would find the firearm that would result in felony charges. Because of that i acted before you even attempted to search him and killed you based on the authority given to me by this rule. This rule does not say that any additional condition has to be met before i can protect another group member. It does not require you to have already arrested or detained them. I get the sentiment behind all that, but that just sounds like a slippery slope. It's the reason why vigilantism is illegal around the world, setting the precedent of players using force to make sure people abide by the rules could lead to more harm than good. Who gets to decide who's "minging"? Yeah the example on the clip is obvious but how do you articulate that in the rules? Can a person be KOS for ruining the RP? Who gets to decide when the RP is ruined and if it was done maliciously or not etc.

As much as I want to disagree, I actually do believe that the community should be able to police minges themselves. Not determine what is/isn’t quality RP (which is what staff is for) but when things get very obvious or when people purposely break NLR, we shouldn’t be punished for dealing with people trying to ruin our RP and be forced to make reports and shit. Editing, uploading, waiting, play being stopped to make it all happen- the shitters get to dictate and control the flow of RP in their own way while rule abiding LARPers get the shit end of the stick. Find a way to punish them easier. Put it in our hands. Most of us RP it anyways and deal with any potential consequences of community clean-up, so let us take the shot since we carry the burden. That way, anyone who is baiting and makes his OWN tickets can be handled all at once when we have proof of their minging and there’s logs for their NLR etc
