Auxiliary
In-Game Names: Giovanni "Fat Gio" Giordano, Steven R. Wright Steam Name: Auxiliary (or otherwise known as xKyqnite) Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198885641617/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:462687944 Discord Username: auxiliarypaper Age: 16 When did you first join the server: Approximately 8 months ago was the FIRST time I had played (May 28th 2025). Total Playtime on the Server: 3d 1h Timezone: Eastern Standard Time (EST+0) How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 15-20+ hours every week. Have you read the rules?: I have. Do you have a working microphone?: I do, and I am willing to use it. Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): I do. Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: I am. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: I do. ================================================================================================================================= What is your motivation/reason for applying?: To start the application out, I would like to be fully transparent; I am VERY new to Diverge Networks compared to most applicants. Most of my roleplaying career on Garry's Mod have been spent on more political-sided servers such as Prometheus Networks. Although I've been familiar with the concept of the server for quite a while (8+ months), I am not very familiar with the community. I have seriously roleplayed on this server very briefly, starting for a brief time in August/September 2025 and then beginning to play again now for the past few weeks. Despite my significant lack of experience, I have really enjoyed my time so far on Diverge and I have a large desire to become more entangled in the community and become more familiar with the community. From the conversations I've had with members of the community who have much more experience than myself, some of the people who are active on this server have spent upwards of 9 years on the server, which is time that I simply cannot even begin to compare to in both connections, and experience in roleplay. However, in my experience in Garry's Mod, joining the staff team of the server can be one of the best ways to familiarize yourself not only with the player-base, but make friends and connections across the server by helping and assisting across the server and gain very valuable experience and information on how the server operates, the roleplay standards, etc. Aside from the goal of gaining more experience and making connections on Diverge Networks, I also have a passion for assisting people. I have spent a significant amount of my roleplaying career across several different platforms on the staff/assistance team. I really have a lot of fun enforcing roleplay standards, ensuring that everyone on the server can enjoy themselves on the server rather than having their experiences ruined by people who maybe aren't as privy on how exactly they should be roleplaying, or other people who simply have no interest in roleplay and who's aim is to ruin the roleplay for others. Despite my inexperience on the server, I have definitely encountered several instances where people either, 1. are completely oblivious to the rules of the server and how it operates, leading to a roleplay situation being ruined, or 2. only joined the server to minge/troll and have no interest in actually roleplaying on the server at all. If accepted to the staff team, I would love to assist and ensure these situations are less frequent on the server and that players are re-educated or punished if need be when rules are violated. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I should be considered over other candidates mainly for my exceptional motivation, my knowledge of Nutscript/Garry's Mod functions, and my knowledge and understanding of the rules of the server. Firstly, minus any real-life focuses of mine, I dedicate a significant amount of time and effort to Garry's Mod, with Diverge Networks being my number-one focus at the moment. If accepted to the Staff Team, I plan on not only working my hardest to learn the ropes as a Moderator and staff member of Diverge Networks, but I also plan on diligently learning how the more niche parts and components of the server operates to have the best understanding of the server as possible as a member of staff. Despite other applicants not being very motivated or not being willing to dedicate time and resources to being a staff member, I have the desire, willingness and ability to not only dedicate time to being a staff member on the server, but generally using my abilities as a staff member to better the community and effect the server in a positive manner. Secondly, I have spent a significant amount of time as a member of staff on several different Garry's Mod roleplay servers. Through these experiences, I have come to gain a lot of knowledge and muscle memory when it comes to the Nutscript Commands, along with the functions of staff abilities like the Staff Stick, places like Staff Sits, and other facets of being staff such as general etiquette as staff. Unlike other potential applicants, I possess a lot of knowledge, information, and general experience as a member of staff across Garry's Mod. As a staff member, this would definitely speed up my learning phase as a Moderator, but also assist in decision making when it comes to punitive action or what exactly to do in certain situations or disputes. Finally, I should be considered over other candidates as I possess a better understanding of the rules of Diverge Networks than many other people do. I have spent a good amount of time (more than I'd like to admit) reading and re-reading through the forums pages, examining rules and also just general information pages of all varieties to get a better understanding of the server and the roleplay facets. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I have had several different experiences as staff on roleplay servers across the last ~5-ish years, but my most recent and relevant instance was as a Senior Moderator on Prometheus Networks for 7-8 months. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I have never been banned on Diverge Networks. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I don't believe I would go as far to say that I am "well known" by any means in the Diverge community, but I believe that I have an overall good reputation with the people I know and have interacted with. I would say the same for what other members think of me. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I would honestly have to pick between two. The first one was when I joined Diverge Networks for the very first time, and I had joined the French Mob. As soon as I joined, they immediately gave me a hammer and sent me to the docks to go beat some guy because he owed the mob money. I then proceeded to beat him senseless and, after some threats, he jumped off of the dock and swam away. This really resonated with me because it was, first of all, it was super fun roleplay, but it also sort of set the stage and my overall expectation as to what roleplay would be on Diverge. My second favorite moment was the large riot outside of the PD on the 25th, with all of the tear gas being thrown around and everyone beating one another. I really had fun sort of protesting and getting a different kind of roleplay outside of just making money or doing crime-related things. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: None to my knowledge or recollection. ================================================================================================================================= Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would start off by clipping the incident with Medal to have proof of the actual RDM. After I have situated the clip and trimmed it accordingly to highlight the incident that needs reporting, I would contact a fellow member of staff, showing them the clip I had gotten as evidence and ask them for a Staff Sit with myself, the staff, and the person who RDM'd me. I would ensure that I personally did not handle the situation myself to avoid any potential bias on my part, along with a proper explanation from a third party that was not involved in the incident in the case of any refreshers of server rules or, if warranted, any punitive action being taken. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would ensure every time I witnessed the abuse happen, I would gather appropriate proof of the incident (screenshots, clips, audio recordings, etc.). After witnessing the abuse occur, I would attempt to message them and ask what provoked these actions and what led them to abuse. After trying to gather more information, I would let them know/remind them that their actions would be considered abuse. If the member of staff genuinely seemed ignorant to the fact that their actions were abusive, I may hold off on reporting. Otherwise, if the staff member did not seem remorseful and seemed like they knew it was abuse already, I would show the evidence I collected to a member of staff higher than the individual, most likely a member of Upper Administration. I would continually record the evidence and submit it every time I witnessed it, repeating the process. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Once I receive the ticket, I would start off as I usually would do with gathering the evidence and collecting each side's story of the situation. Considering that I would personally know this person in this situation, I would want to avoid any bias decisions or any accusations of being biased. To do this, I would contact another member of staff to get their opinion on the situation and get confirmation as to whether or not he thinks the claims are valid enough for punitive action against my friend. Once I've gotten a second opinion from another member of staff, I would either pass the situation off to them entirely, or proceed with punishment or lack thereof depending on the opinion given by the other member of staff. ================================================================================================================================= Note: As mentioned several times in this application, I am very new to the server! Due to that, there may admittedly be some mistakes or pieces of information unintentionally left out! Any questions, comments, concerns and/or critiques in regards to my application are highly encouraged and greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your consideration of my application! Auxiliary
1 minute ago, Coconut said: 3days play time in 8months but can do 15-20 hours weekly moderating. As I highlighted in my application, my first time playing Diverge was 8 months ago. Prior to the last two weeks-ish, I had really only played in about 45 minute spurts of running around attempting to figure out how exactly to get into a faction and how the roleplay on the server should go. The reason I've been able to get into the server now is because I've had several friends (who are Diverge veterans) introduce me to a lot of people and really show me the ropes of the server and how the roleplay goes. Again, it plays into how I am very new. On the days I can be on Diverge, I would be able to spend upwards of 8 hours a day moderating and roleplaying. On day's I'm unable to be on Diverge, I would be completely cut off. I would approximate that there are (around) 2 days every week I am unable to be on due to IRL commitments as I am still in school and I do (surprisingly) have some sort of a life outside of Diverge. Thanks for the question! 1 Link to comment
bigwillyhumper69
I have a couple of questions, do you have a dog, what do you think about having a pet turtle, and have you been approached by the lucchese crime family to join to staff team to use your influence on the inside in benefit of the high table especially with the upcoming racket event? Yes, several 2. I like turtles but I'm not a big fan of pets who are usually kept in enclosure, so probably not unfortunately 3. Nope, wouldn't join Lucchese if my life depended on it.
