There are too many people who come to just 'fuck around'. Getting rid of it is counter-productive and will cause a great deal of upset players, I'd be upset if I got rdmed and was told no comp. People would claim bias, make staff reports and discord tickets and become a tedious rage farm. Getting rid isn't going to help rp. It'd promote negative behavior from a subset of the gmod population, 'i RDMed that guy with a class 4 dude! i killed 5 people with guns with my knife!', are we forgetting the most popular gmod videos are troll videos.. Guns are tied to players direct time, the time it took to get said item. For a new player this can be much greater, thus punishing new players exorbitantly and promoting bad play. There are many times a legitimate compensation should be in order, there are many times in low population time. People get RDMed, people don't get comped, or god forbid someone doesn't have medal running the background. The command has provisions, if someone gets a gun, its not a new gun. It's a gun they PREVIOUSLY had and it goes through a staff review process to deem if it's legitimate. It's not adding anything that wasn't there. In the few times it's used where it shouldn't be, it's either a mistake, staff abuse, or a common sense sympathy compensation. ( again not adding anything that wasn't there before. ) Further, the compensation command only compensates 1 random item, can't be spammed and can still lead to a net loss. What is best for players? Letting people lose their hard earned guns and their time, because rp? They needed to be MORE careful?! It's better for the economy this way? People would rightfully be pissed, feel cheated and it'd turn off a lot of people. -1

Hello, while I empathize with the situation and friends have made it clear how much they appreciate and care for your RP. The major issue here, is you didn't inform or contact staff when this happened; you connected an hour and 40 minutes later, deposited your stuff and went on. You didn't make a ticket at such a time either. The clip provided can't definitively say whether you disconnected, as part of client side bug or a user disconnection. To point out, you do move after gunshots and typically logs will show differently for cases of a crash or a timeout. The convenience of crashing at that exact time can't be ignored and you have failed to provide enough evidence for you defense. You state you had a thunderstorm and wifi kept going on and off, implying you should have had wifi at some point or access to the internet, to make a discord ticket or to inform staff in any way; even just when it came back on. Secondly, you state this has been a recurring issue with gunshots. Which means you were aware of the issue, which means you took the risk of playing with the possibility of a crash. ( and the consequence's thereof. ) The area you were mugged is also a red zone or a 'mugged where stand' zone. Meaning you were fair game. I have also investigated the user and it can't be proven they are a mugging character at this time. I can understand the gesture, you'd give back the items they'd have acquired mugging off of you. But you didn't actively attempt to do so, until your character was at jeopardy. Effectively rolling the dice. After investigation the character that PKed you was used as primarily a mugging and consequences free character. It was found to have been used as a middle man in racket abuse. Simply put, there is no reason to legally sell your clothing. There is a considerable tax rate, that people would rather not pay, which has killed off nearly every brick and mortar clothing store. To give a proper reasoning to legally sell these items. I suggest we create a business postal service, to legally transfer items via bank accounts or char ids. You setup a business, sign up for it ( attached to your char name. ). Then you can interact and drop the item into a drop box ( no drug items ), with a prompt for the ID of the bank account or char id, for it to be transferred to, and a spot to enter the value of the item. ( they could lie, but if they get caught, consequences. ) Which will generate the cost, which includes tax on the specific item. So, people can not worry about tedious paperwork. Reasoning is pretty simple. Setup a marketplace for legal businesses. With minimal, to no google doc rp. They browse a catalog. Send money via money transfers, ( Which ICly should be protected from rico. ) Receive said item, or are able to pick up at the 'post office'. Encourages, a mostly passive legal business for whitelist owners and allows a healthy tax rate to take money out of the economy.

The issue here, is the image you projected. I can't verify any sortof metagame against you, but the IC circumstances made you look guilty. The criminal faction, thought you were snitching and killed you. While, you made some points, to why you wouldn't be a snitch, they seemed to fail to consider them beforehand. This can happen, mafia wasn't exactly known for a fair trial and while, you can accuse them of bias against you and that sortof thing. There isn't any direct evidence ( or enough ), to say, they killed you because of that reason. Okay. So, I can't verify any metagame specifically against the Cash. But @Haze those DM's are some light metagame. Don't be using DMs for drug deals or to talk about IC issues, those details should be discussed ICly. I see your friend saying someone is 'banging on your door' and you saying 'its my homies saying matteo ( a police detective ) is watching us again'. That sortof thing, while just a quick heads-up is still metagame. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here, and say you didn't INTEND to to metagame and thought what you were doing was okay. But, please. Be careful in future.

Hey there, 1. and 4. : So while you may have been hired as just a butcher. You talked to the guy outback and ordered a shipment of guns for yourself. When we check this, we see if you had ordered any drugs or weapons from their racket. You can't secretly order from their racket and in this case you have and recently. If you hadn't this would be an easy accept. ( You would have been considered an entry level employee, without intimate knowledge. ) 2. and 3. : You should have taken the fact, that the people who managed and worked at said establishment were trying to get your name, to bring you back into the fold. ( think of how you were hired. ) Many times, people take time away and need to be reintroduced. This does not however, give you total impunity in roleplay terms AND you were back for days on their whitelist.

Hey there. After reviewing the evidence and discussing it. While it could be argued that you may have lagged, on the provided clip. You pass the cop car, clipping it. Then turn around, scrape a wall and go full speed into the car next to the cop. You could not provide your own POV to verify any sort of lag, which makes your defense difficult and it could be argued you, you were doing this for nefarious reasons. While cops shouldn't go straight to executing, you hit the person, at full speed, backed up at as fast as you can and you had just used your car as a weapon against another officer-ie; realistic threat, realistic initiation against an officer. If you had stayed in the car, not moved after. The PK would have likely been reversed. ( as cookies also stated. ) But, given the nature, I must deny this.

If you did 'just' got to a party without permission that is far from grounds for a 'Unwarranted Harm in a financial (+10,000$) or repeated physical way,' and you should have been spoken about this at least once. Hey there. This is fairly simple. You left the faction without permission and were the target of the mob for leaving in bad faith. You used their drug racket, knew who they were etc. You were killed 8 days after transferring out of the bonnano crime family. This is perfectly valid. Further, you deleted the character which makes any appeal impossible, in future please wait for the appeal before deleting the character.

You stole a business idea from an rp criminal via dms in an IC context, thought you could get away with it, because of DMs, tried to extort via dms. Complaints were made and UA approved. You were threatened ICly and made aware of the consequences. Tried to make a new character to avoid the consequences and were even banned for metagame for that. This was dragged out, you were told what to expect and you did it anyway. This has nothings to do with power game, you can quote any rule you'd like, you can argue semantics of the business model. 'being different', but ultimately you acted in bad faith here ( tried to act with impunity using dms as a shield ) and we don't see the business model being fundamentally different. As well as the timing here, is question to say the least. The entire circumstance leading to your death was UA approved, you were given a chance to back off. Hello, banning staff. You went across the rooftop ontop of the gambino apartments and fired and killed someone and injured two others. After I took the sit, I spectated you and saw you ontop of city hall, attempting to shoot a random person across the street. At this point I pulled you away for visible rule break. When I brought you into the sit, you immediately started to lie about what occurred and gave an antagonistic attitude towards me and the situation. Saying essentially, that you did nothing and outright lied about it. When I gave a clip and said I personally witnessed you atop of cityhall. You said you didn't care and tried to bait the other people in the sit. At this point you started an argument, where one of them drew a gun, then put it away. I didn't see that they fired. Keep in mind there was 3 other people who were involved, all against you. I attempted to deescalate things, albeit inappropriate behavior from them. Around 30 seconds after you said something like, 'fuck this' and pointed your gun and shot me and the other people in the sit room. At which point I phys gunned you and banned you. Hey there PKing staff. Your character was PKed for initiating a violent confrontation with police, by pulling your gun on the officer as he was arresting someone else. Your gun having no bullets in this circumstance is irrelevant. The act of pointing the gun at the police, in this case, is counted as 'initiating a violent confrontation'. I'm not sure with the speed of how the events unfold, that the officer failed to do due diligence. As at the time, it could be taken as a credible threat against his life and I do not see this as an execution. TO recap:

Voice messages could be cool, possibly prerecord instructions, or training guides. Some concerns with how the ingame pager is used and people using it to minge. Phones for businesses make sense, possibly have them pay for a 'special number'. But a strict landline attached to a wall. I think would be a little bit of a nuisance. As a follow up, I think adding a code you could add to your phone. That gives you access to any 'business call' made to the business, would be a better implementation. Sim cards weren't manufactured till 1991, I think adding them is a little redundant, may account for a pointless price increase. As opposed to just getting another phone.

Hi there! Staff involved here. I restricted your character creation, after it appears you had been using it to facilitate money and to a lesser extent item transfer. You were using characters as disposable, typically to mug and pooling any wealth and items accumulated with your friend, any time one of your characters was PKed, it would immediately received a large sum of cash. Either facilitated through creating new character for the specific purpose, to obscure transferring money or through an alt steam, who's only time on the server was used to act as a bank. Either handing out money or receiving money, or shared access to their bank. You, your friend and the alt were banned and char wiped for this incident. You and your friend were restricted to prevent the use of disposable character for the purpose of money transfer. That being said, the mechanic appears have been a non factor for a non donator. As 2 characters, is what it restricted to you. That being said, you just donated, and that you accepted punishment for the offense. I have no issues if they decide to lift the character restriction.
