Hello PKing staff here. First off, it had been about an hour and you were offline by the time I processed this PK. I was given a clip where you were being rammed to the side of the road for a traffic incident, for which I was told you refused to comply. You then kept saying it was "an accident", telling them to chill. They then pulled out cuffs and attempted cuff you. You pulled out a gun, attempted to fire but it clicked as you needed to reload. However if you directly rammed their car, they seemingly had a valid reason to arrest you- regardless if some clipping occurred between the officer and another third party.

I imagine, you could use an RNG generator to determine if a business makes a profit and it's not hard to RNG the business on a spreadsheet once or twice a month ( 1 - 10 ) for profit or loss. This could be implemented into existing DOP, DOC as previously mentioned. Also like I mentioned, I'm willing to work on developing the system further if the powers that be, deem it a worthwhile endeavor. Also wanted to say, if you wanted to implement more mafia control, you could have staff tickets to escalate on static businesses much easier ( fire bombs or 'temporarily destroyed' ). Thus allowing 'protection or extortion' from mafia interests. Fairly simple, I think all of the static properties, billboards, vending machines, chest tables, phone booths should be purchasable by players and they should be extortatable, used for control and managed as passive income investment properties. I have mapped the city to give an outline of what that would look like based upon the city streets and arbitrarily assigned numbers to the specific city locations, I'm willing to do work such as to take pictures of each location to create a purchasing catalog. A medal clip was provided and I have searched log to verify, you don't actually kill anyone or do damage to any cops on the clip, you're clearly holding a cig and the radio call appears to be bad or reacting to the wrong person. Either way it doesn't clearly show you starting a violent altercation with police, therefore this appeal will be accepted. However you have deleted the character so it is impossible to reinstate.

The standard for don's orders are typically not a high burden of proof. You took inherent risks by joining on the character. You appear to have participated in illegal activities, so you'd know about illegal activities, you disrespected someone in the faction and refused orders from high ranking members to a point where they deemed you a liability. That being said, after talking with the don of kosher, another hc executed the orders and he believes you were not given fair warning. So your main argument 'This also means you cannot PK someone for mucking up JUST one time" appears to be valid and he agreed that you should be unpked given the circumstances and I concur.

Hello, so looking into logs. While the character was a cop, it doesn't appear to have ordered any shipments. Was clearly used primarily as a mugging character, was caught item transferring and suspiciously cuffs and steal from a number of people WHEN as an active police character. I have tracked a number of weed bricks you stole as an officer, cuffed, taken from their inventory and traced directly to you selling to the vender, which will serve as a staff blacklist from PD for future. Given the circumstances, this appears to be a mugging character. Was used in fail corruption and was caught item transferring. So this will be denied. I would also advice you to rethink your behavior if you'd like to continue to play on this server in future.

The PO was from an RDM ticket taken by Logan, where according to logs you were brought and returned from a sit and then given the note. For this offense, it appears you were at fault, however the ban time has expired and you have repented for your sins. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and accepted. The ban will be reduced to x.

Hello! While not technically the banning staff here. I had taken the initial sit, where when I initially questioned you. Your response was 'Uhhh i got bored and didn't mean to blow them up'. Killing 5 people. When I stated you would be receiving a ban, you did not like what I had to say and kept pushing for a lighter punishment. Wherest you asked for a second opinion and I obliged bring Anzati in to give his opinion and a ban of 7 days. During which time you admitted further to the altercation, but said that it was an accident and demanded a lighter punishment, when this was denied you said 'ok ip ban me'. I believe you to be dishonest in this situation, again you never mentioned lag. I, and the banning staff believe you to intentionally rammed into their car to blow it up. Not to mention- for which you made your own RDM ticket in an attempt to get compensated for the same incident that you caused! I believe the only reason you made this appeal, was because you believe that you should get less than the 7 days that you were banned for and could spin a story that is inherently untrue to do so. You would do a lot better to apologise for the incident in an appeal, rather than to lie about it.

I also wanted to point out ingame, there is a set of props with 3 news papers boxes and a city mailbox. You could set ingame that any one of these newspapers boxes just repeat the last event/pk or the last 3 depending on which box you press or just have them potentially setable by staff to display a custom message. ( So staff who do PK messages could set them. ) 'Daily 'Union Times' 'Messenger'

So a few things here. The clips in evidence has the sound muted until the very end, meaning someone likely cut the audio. While this in itself may not necessarily disqualify the evidence, it is looked at very suspiciously to all involved. So looking at logs, your story may seem truthful. Person A - Gets hit by you, swaps to cop car and runs directly to the 14k place. Person B - Swaps to his character, goes to the 14k place to whispers you to kill him. You - You dance and Kill Person A. Note: That there is no logs of any chat communication saying he'd swap to his char to kill you and person B does not warn you through detectable means, only saying to 'kill him'. Person A and B, have characters in the same faction and I find it highly suspicious in these circumstances. The clip being cut of all audio until the end ( which could be discord audio ), make me believe that all three of you communicated on discord, swapped characters and did this whole thing up for a laugh; until you were reported. To be clear, this would still be RDM with no IC reason. Your behavior in the sit and in response to this appeal was disrespectful to all involved and with conferring with other staff and with those who have dealt with you recently, we believe you need a chance to cool off and reflect on your behavior and attitude. If you would like to continue to play on this server. In response, this is still RDM, where you have multiple PO's and with probable power game. You and person B, have a history of power game. So, I will be denying your appeal on these basis. Person A - Please reflect on your actions I will withhold any formal note or warning, you have a clean record, but I do believe you are guilty and I ask you to refrain from this type of behavior in future. Person B - Will be receiving a note for RDM, I will refrain from warning him for meta or power game for lack of evidence, but this is your friend telling you to kill another person for no valid reason. This is still RDM.

After talking with the staff member involved, this was a mistake by the banning staff. Sometimes mistakes happen, people lie and I am truly sorry any inconvenience, this ban will be lifted shortly.

I always thought the ingame pager item had a lot of potential but is weighed down by a big factor, the pager being directly tied to character ID's, I think this inherently made a lot of people distrust the use of the pagers, there's potential to metagame(cops use the same char id for ssn), there's a perceived risk potential, anyone could do /copyid to find the person. With the ability to arrange meeting and the like through discord, this made the use of the pager largely irrelevant. Suggestions to improve: 1. Add assignable usernames: This will keep the pagers anonymous and will allow those in criminal RP to communicate and establish presence. I think many would likely be more willing to give their usernames to other factions. Has the potential for capos to arrange crew deals with each other or even as a more reliable way of selling clothing. ( Possibly add a cost for the username to avoid abuse. ) 2. Illegal Bulletins: With the ability to assign a username to a pager will allow advertisements to a specific person, or a potential 'company', copying the existing bulletin board system for use in the illegal market, could foster many transactions, with the perceived anonymity. IMO would drive many to the use of pagers. ( I think a conversation would need to be had for detective purposes, as it'd be very easy for detectives to copy paste all data from these bulletins on a daily basis, effectively renderings them pointless, as people will distrust them immediately mitigating any potential for adoptation. ) ( On a side note, it's possible you could allow messages to be sent and received on discord though this system, allowing everything to be full monitored and IC. Allowing for a potential for any IC conversation to be needing to be sent through this system. )

When I said unrelated, it meant unrelated to the direct roleplay situation of you stealing and getting killed. You had respawned, you were outside the roleplay scene that had just ended, him and you talking there, would not interfere with any active roleplay scene, or interfere with anyone's immediate immersion in any roleplay scenes, which from my understanding is the intent of the rule. He was saying what he was going to do and if you didn't want him to press the PK, he just wanted the stuff back, is there some NLR concerns sure, but he did not act on anything, he did not attempt to roleplay anything. Which again, the offer, would likely be welcomed by the majority of the people not trying to skirt on a technicality. You then immediately transferred the shirt to a third party, indicating to me, that the shirt was worth more to you than the character. As I stated again, "may void the pk entirely" I did not feel that the "may" should be applied in this situation, I am not rewording any rule or inherently changing anything. I have stated my outlook and my reasoning for my decision. We are arguing in circles and I'd rather not continue to do so, as this boils down to me not believing a void should be applicable for this situation and you believing a void to be applicable. As previously stated a higher staff will rule on this and when they do, they will explain their reasoning to do so.

Hi PKIng staff here. You clearly admitted to the theft and the death in the sit. You stole in excess of $10,000 and died not 20 second after the initial theft, as I explained in the sit. The rule you are quoting " Key here being MAY void the PK, and under my discretion I did not believe someone going and trying to offer you a way out of the PK in return for the items back. Was a situation that would inherently void the PK situation. You seemingly knew exactly, that your actions would lead to a PK and did not dispute the actions themselves, only the technicality; which albeit has some fail-rp/NLR, I consider this more of in a minor nature, and would more or less be welcome by a lot of the people in a similar situation. There is always a difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law, this circumstance I believe my discretion, to be correct. I do not believe you should be unpked, as you clearly knew the situation you put yourself in would lead you to a PK. This video, where he offers 'get pked or gimmie stuff back' happened after you had died, after you had respawned and was unrelated to the death/pk itself. I don't think the spirit of the rule is intended to punish those trying to offer a break to others, and would set a terrible precedent moving forward. Again, I apologise it sucks to lose a character, but we are at a disagreement here, hopefully a higher staff can take a closer look and make the appropriate decision.

So the date and time on that log is incorrect, so what you posted has no bearing. Typically a crash will appear differently in server logs, however your logs show 'Disconnected by user', and then reconnecting 13 minutes later, after which the RP scene had ended, thus LTARP or Leaving to avoid role play. Further, you disconnected less that 30 seconds after being cuffed, If this was a legitimate crash, unfortunately, we do not have sufficient evidence to substantiate your claim. If this happens in future, please contact staff and/or the officer involved in the arrest directly and explain the situation, so that the officer/staff can resume the roleplay scene, once you are able to rejoin. I apologise, but unfortunately I will be denying this appeal.

You and your friends admit the intent was to slide on him, the video does not play in your favour. You simply put a gun on safety and at the moment he ask for your ID- you shoot him. From your prior interactions, I believe this was your intent the entire time, which is the definition of cop and rdm baiting. I believe one day is more than a fair punishment in this context and you are lucky to have not gotten more. Just because you have an illegal firearm and you CAN kill police in circumstances that may lead to FELONY charges, doesn't mean you should be deliberately looking and going into those circumstances to do so. I apologise but you will have to wait the full-day.
