What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My motivation for applying is that I've been very much connected with this server for the past couple of months. I've also noticed that during non-peak hours, the time for a ticket to be accepted by an admin is very slow. This has resulted in some frustration between peers of mine, and including myself. I also am very eager to become a staff member. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I believe that my ability to exclude bias during important decisions makes me viable for staff. I also don't really have an ego, and I am very reflective of my own decisions at times. I also am involved in a lot of aspects of Diverge, being underboss in a criminal faction, a former Senior Officer in PD, and as a current Public Defender. With this, I can provide a good general insight on all things surrounding the server. Do you have any previous staffing experience? If so, why?: Unfortunately, I have been banned once on the server for Middle manning a money transfer. However, I have grown from this idiotic mistake, and have read the rules countless times since then. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I would say I am moderately known in the community, but not fully known, with my reputation being a fun and outgoing person who can get serious in times where seriousness is needed. Most of PD and Lawyers will recognize me as PD Craig Hamilton, and most of my faction and other criminally-minded chars will recognize me as Jackson Kinahan. Overall, I think my reputation is mostly positive, as I try to be as cool as possible with everyone. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: There's too many to chose from, so Ima give my top 3 (no particular order) 1) Becoming Underboss in a criminal faction. That was really cool for me and was a reflection on how far I came with them. 2) Alien invasion event at like 3 am. Was very cool mowing down aliens. 3) The February racket event. It brought a lot of people close and I had a lot of fun during it. Have any staff members recommended you? How do you handle this?: If I am not busy with roleplay matters, I will take the ticket immediately. If I am busy, I will make sure to keep an eye on the tickets to see if any other staff takes it. Once any important matters are concluded and the ticket is still open, I will take it, or in the case of something else, I will ask them to remake the ticket. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: To begin with, I would attempt to chat with them privately about their abuse in a manner that is polite and respectful. This is because if I were to immediate jump the gun and report him, there could be some vital knowledge that would result in the abuse of power, and I would look dumb for reporting it. Nonetheless, I would explain what I observed and ask for their feedback, reasoning, or further insight on what I saw. If the issues persist without any clear deductive reasoning behind it, I would bring it up to higher staff, following the protocols that are in place. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Rules are rules. If you break them, you are to be warned/punished, no matter who it is. However, to reduce bias, I would first see if any fellow staff members could take the ticket. If it's just me on, then I will try my best to respond to the ticket in the most unbiased manner I can, strictly looking at the rules to see if any rule break had occurred. However, if the personal connection is too strong, a conflict of interest would occur, which would constitute bias. With forensics, DNA is basically next to useless. Give us more to do with it, leave DNA behind if you get shot or hurt during a PK. I'm a crim main these days and I gotta say it's fucking boring. The cops are so neutered that if you get arrested as a made guy these days and they didn't powergame you somehow, you're probably genuinely retarded. There used to be risk to doing shit out in the open. Now I just kill people in central park, pick up my casings, and run away knowing that the case is cold as fuck. Grind brick, rinse, repeat. The only threat is a possible snitch. Undercover ops are pretty much moot since staff is currently okay with you and your friends inventing a random made up person to "collect debt from" and you beat them to nlr. If you don't do it, your op is cooked. If you do it, your op is cooked. Crims genuinely have no idea how easy they have it after having been on both sides so thoroughly. The DOJ is neutered. The bureau of detectives is neutered. Look at everything "major" that has happened to different organizations in recent memory. Cassanos got their pp smacked bc they didn't do proper due diligence. Lucchese got a smack on the wrist for similar. Bonanos again similar due to people dying but they're bouncing back. Ive seen plenty of instances of people escaping pd in the water, you're the first example I've seen of someone walking along the bottom of the ocean, let that sink in for a moment.. Aside from that, you died during pursuit due to drowning. Tasers work in the water because it's a videogame, and there's no other way of PD possibly detaining you in the ocean, which is a risk you take when you.. jump into the ocean. UA will have final verdict on the matter, I hope for future reference you keep this in the back of your mind. Swimming to escape is one thing, diving to the bottom of the sea and saying you're escaping is another

I had the idea to jump into the water and swim away at docks to avoid them. but instead of being followed or surrounded by other cops. i was tazed in the water. now i do understand if i am threat i should be tazed but usually tazers and water dont work together lmao. once i was finally tazed while swimming i wasnt able to move, and this happened to be as im coming up for air. in the video you can clearly see me attempt to do that. but the officer tazing me caused me to drown. i do think this is a bit confusing. because irl police wouldnt taze someone swimming away. or in water let alone. i just think if there was a procedure or things to possibly do maybe things like this could be prevented. and it would be less confusing in general to dictate this as fear rp or not. then again i had no intention of drowning myself on purpose again the video shows this. I also cannot seem to find anything relating the water as a pk possible thing in the rules. this is perfectly normal and possible also. a good amount of police chases on foot do end up in water if its nearby. the idea of complete freedom in a body of water makes it seem like a quick escape. humans naturally go to this. the admins stated that i may have "possibly" broke fear rp. and a further opinion was called for. the idea of running away, swimming away. and even trying to stay above water was a good indicator i cared for my life. thanks for reading this.
