Hey, banning staff member here. In the situation that you were banned for, (Clip for context) you start to snitch on the guy that shot you. (Not encouraging that, but it is within the rules). After beginning the roleplay with the (now present) police, you lie and say that someone else shot you, a random person not involved at all. (While the guy that shot you is still around the crime scene). This prompts a new situation for the police, one that is entirely fictional (and ultimately ends in someone getting arrested that did nothing wrong). The powergame rule in question: Powergaming is described as forcing a scenario or roleplay onto someone against their will, usually in violation of the rules. Using other game mechanics to powergame can include, attempting to force players to do things outside of the server, forcing players to commit suicide, forcing players to commit crimes, forcing players to RP or /me's against their will, forcing players to give their f3, etc etc, (irrelevant to this scenario) You may not invent evidence to force a roleplay nor may you take OOC matters into IC The scenario you made up led to someone that did nothing wrong get forced into roleplay against his will, and very negatively impacted their time in the city. I do not think this ban was unfair or unjust, but good luck on your appeal.

So, if a cop decides what you’re doing is a crime out of ignorance/malice and arrests you successfully , it’s an “IC issue” and not RDA but when a person is able to escape false claims of a crime and evades arrest then he’s rule breaking? What I’ve seen called “cop bait” has been pretty shoddy, at times. Can we at least see proof that this guy was minging and not just playing his character in an organic or meaningful way?

STEAM_0:1:178394927 received a ban for 3 days and the automatic system for alt detection banned you and extended his ban It likely detected that you two have associated accounts possibly because at one or more points in your playtime here you've shared a connection with one another meaning when one of you is banned if the other gets on it flags it as a ban evasion attempt which is a system put into place to prevent people from bypassing their bans or punishments. I can't manually unassign this connection for the time being do not join the server and file a support ticket in the discord.

It's simply not plausible or provable that the cheats were 'not used to gain an advantage'. The seal of trust is broken. You'll have to spend time away.
