What server rule or PK rule was violated?: My intentions were not to mug or partake in the mugging, i was merely just standing by and watching and observing. i was not trying to partake in the mugging as i was really just along for the ride and merely seeing what was going on. Again this is my first time playing the game so i don't know what was going on and really was just watching and witnessing. for i had worked real hard to make a grind and join my current faction and i feel i was falsely lead into this trap that now led to me being PKed.

People hate it because you can lose items and suffer character destruction. People are punished for breaking the rules around mugging (which there are many) because each mug and the context behind it is generally nuanced. Using it to target people for pks (engaging with it in bad faith) using alt characters to mug avoiding all risk, only mugging and not roleplaying as a symptom of dark rp brain. Mugging is an integral part of criminal aspects of the server and even as controversial as it is or has been it remains a part of the game, but it has recognizably flawed attributes which are mediated and covered by rules. Engage with it properly and don't be surprised if you get banned for breaking a rule. Placing a bounty and incentivising people to mug someone where the explicit goal (incentive) is to get that person pked? (Circumventing roleplay and mass target mugging them in hopes they make a mistake and get penalized) The very nature and goal being to inflict harm and ruin the other persons roleplay. People will be understandably upset if they feel they were subject to unfair, ooc motivated, non rp driven targetting

tldr its because we don’t have a 1 crim 1 legal char system. people don’t wanna risk the stuff they have had for a while so they use alts to not risk anything major.

start mugging everyone you see in a alleyway and see how many people you can get banned for metagame

It usually depends on who you mug and how I've personally mugged a few people and I don't think anyone hates me for it lol? It's usually hated when all you do is mug or make it your "personality" in the server, mugging someone once in a blue moon is fine but just doing it multiple times a week, is to me absurd

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Put in a retirement to focus on OOC issues, was kicked from all related discords with no communication, decided to come back and continue playing, got a message in discord to meet up in an apartment for a meeting, and died. I never left the faction in any capacity and I'm aware I was disliked by HC towards the end of my character's life due to OOC drama and I feel as though that contributed to the events of today. The Cassanos have a long history of killing members with no logical IC evidence or reasoning. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

ii had gun, a glock-17 but i didnt use it cause it was 3v1 and there were other random people, passing by that i ask help and they kill me. yes i cold've exploded the car or shooting the muggers but if you read the PK guidelines, they give multiple orders to put my hands up but they kill me in 5 seconds

Currently the warning you get when joining a Faction (shown below) is a blanket warning applying to all factions allowing no individuality in what factions stand for. What I am proposing is adding a box to this warning which the boss of each family can assign specific rules to which new recruits must agree to when joining a faction. This would allow factions to specify what they expect of their recruits so there's less surprise when people get PK'd for doing stupid shit. A few examples would be specifying that a certain faction doesn't allow mugging or allow drug trades etc etc.

You were PKed for 2 reasons, both of which occurred in a short period of time. A long term made man vouching that you lockpicked inside of our own hotel Carrying and waving a firearm, with a scratched serial number and while not holding a license, around our most active property First is obviously an issue and the second is blatantly against family rules, as well as just not being how we want/expect anyone in the faction to act. Especially at a property that is at times heavily observed by police, although I think that should go without saying considering you seem to understand the size of the faction. A large part of this life is keeping anything illegal that you do lowkey, out of the view of outsiders in order to prevent attention/heat being brought to the family. These 2 things in such a short period of time led to one of the Don's trusted making the decision to whack you out of the faction. Here is the agreement you accept whenever joining a faction, warning of what may come. Ultimately it just didn't work out and I wish you luck in whichever faction you end up staying in.

Hey, i put the orders in for this. I was informed of this IC but was not aware he had died. However, it sounds like you killed him during the mugging after he complied, making it failmug. Which should as far as i'm aware, invalidates his death.

You seem to be under the misconception that I have to justify my presence in the community to you. That’s how easily distracted you are from the actual topic? Get back on track, pickle sniffa. I’ve made it pretty clear that I don’t see this concept as anything more than “money printer” which is an echo of several others. You’re getting mad at me rather than explaining how it’s anything more than just that. Pretty weak tactic. Maybe if I was a child you could convince me this is a “great idea” because there’s “not enough rackets”. Simply not enough of a reason, nor a good enough explanation. Come up with something else.

The props for this already exist and could just be roleplayed out. It’s already a big risk dropping cash. Neat idea but otherwise pointless as you can already drop the amount in a small bundle and pair it with a prop. Having different models representing different amounts is just extra work to potentially have major issues with losing dropped cash. Having a bundle you can’t see the amount of until you’re close is helpful for people trying to discreetly pass off cash. Plus, giving money is also an option. I just don’t see how this is good for roleplay as it’s mostly a game-ish/metagame type of “problem”.

Computers have always existed to take away mundane or redundant and time consuming jobs. There was a time people couldn’t wait to be replaced because we thought the economy would balance it out. That… does not seem to be the case.

I enjoy the idea of low level tasks/jobs you can repeat as a civ that give small amounts of cash but overall serve as a teaching tool for new people in the City to learn different areas and their names, etc. but the delivery job does a small piece of that. Done more thoroughly and dynamically, this could be good. I disagree with the criminal side of this. I disagree with any tiers or leveling to this, and am against a way for advancement or to make any feasible amount of money. Yes, it’s a video game. We need to game-ify certain systems to make it work and Hell, make it fun. But anything that can be used to make someone think, feel, and fabricate/extrapolate their character having a certain level of experience in the city (outside of a well written backstory) or anything to give them a fat stack of cash defeats the entire purpose of roleplay or going to a faction to make money. This, to me, overall challenges the entire point of RP which is a social and multiplayer experience. However, a good and thorough system in play to make the world alive, give dynamic options for early level work, and primarily teach people about the City would be a great asset. Very soft +1

TBH faction command should just do missions for their people and set up events more often. Not everything needs UA intervention or development. Still the same on that +1 but still

I don’t believe this is a feature or else I’m just mentally cracked. I would love the ability to store my coordinates into the Navigator with a custom name and store it in memory as a Database of sorts. Obviously, this would be helpful for new stash spots as well as favored locations. Maybe you want to put the updated name of a generic building name instead of the default name. The database would let you change the location names already in the Nav. Just something that came to mind and I haven’t put a ton of thought but I did put some. Hope you all see the vision here.

I already RP this when I go to the actual bathroom in game but I wouldn’t want to be forced to do this. Sure if works in Sim games and stuff like The Ship but it’s obvious this is mid level satire. That being said, it should be considered. -1

Last couple times this got shot down, the vehicles were a very different beast. It’s time to implement this since we went this route with vehicles adding cost to character and vibing “realism”.

Unban him because people I respect say he’s a good guy and he supposedly excels at RP. Not sure if I’ve ran into him previously but I hope to see IC soon. +1
