What server rule or PK rule was violated?: My intentions were not to mug or partake in the mugging, i was merely just standing by and watching and observing. i was not trying to partake in the mugging as i was really just along for the ride and merely seeing what was going on. Again this is my first time playing the game so i don't know what was going on and really was just watching and witnessing. for i had worked real hard to make a grind and join my current faction and i feel i was falsely lead into this trap that now led to me being PKed.

People hate it because you can lose items and suffer character destruction. People are punished for breaking the rules around mugging (which there are many) because each mug and the context behind it is generally nuanced. Using it to target people for pks (engaging with it in bad faith) using alt characters to mug avoiding all risk, only mugging and not roleplaying as a symptom of dark rp brain. Mugging is an integral part of criminal aspects of the server and even as controversial as it is or has been it remains a part of the game, but it has recognizably flawed attributes which are mediated and covered by rules. Engage with it properly and don't be surprised if you get banned for breaking a rule. Placing a bounty and incentivising people to mug someone where the explicit goal (incentive) is to get that person pked? (Circumventing roleplay and mass target mugging them in hopes they make a mistake and get penalized) The very nature and goal being to inflict harm and ruin the other persons roleplay. People will be understandably upset if they feel they were subject to unfair, ooc motivated, non rp driven targetting

tldr its because we don’t have a 1 crim 1 legal char system. people don’t wanna risk the stuff they have had for a while so they use alts to not risk anything major.

start mugging everyone you see in a alleyway and see how many people you can get banned for metagame

It usually depends on who you mug and how I've personally mugged a few people and I don't think anyone hates me for it lol? It's usually hated when all you do is mug or make it your "personality" in the server, mugging someone once in a blue moon is fine but just doing it multiple times a week, is to me absurd

What server rule or PK rule was violated?: Put in a retirement to focus on OOC issues, was kicked from all related discords with no communication, decided to come back and continue playing, got a message in discord to meet up in an apartment for a meeting, and died. I never left the faction in any capacity and I'm aware I was disliked by HC towards the end of my character's life due to OOC drama and I feel as though that contributed to the events of today. The Cassanos have a long history of killing members with no logical IC evidence or reasoning. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

Currently the warning you get when joining a Faction (shown below) is a blanket warning applying to all factions allowing no individuality in what factions stand for. What I am proposing is adding a box to this warning which the boss of each family can assign specific rules to which new recruits must agree to when joining a faction. This would allow factions to specify what they expect of their recruits so there's less surprise when people get PK'd for doing stupid shit. A few examples would be specifying that a certain faction doesn't allow mugging or allow drug trades etc etc.

You were PKed for 2 reasons, both of which occurred in a short period of time. A long term made man vouching that you lockpicked inside of our own hotel Carrying and waving a firearm, with a scratched serial number and while not holding a license, around our most active property First is obviously an issue and the second is blatantly against family rules, as well as just not being how we want/expect anyone in the faction to act. Especially at a property that is at times heavily observed by police, although I think that should go without saying considering you seem to understand the size of the faction. A large part of this life is keeping anything illegal that you do lowkey, out of the view of outsiders in order to prevent attention/heat being brought to the family. These 2 things in such a short period of time led to one of the Don's trusted making the decision to whack you out of the faction. Here is the agreement you accept whenever joining a faction, warning of what may come. Ultimately it just didn't work out and I wish you luck in whichever faction you end up staying in.

Hey, i put the orders in for this. I was informed of this IC but was not aware he had died. However, it sounds like you killed him during the mugging after he complied, making it failmug. Which should as far as i'm aware, invalidates his death.

There is a better saying than the old, “if you can’t do the time,” adage that you recall and it’s relevant to this specifically. “You can beat the rap but you can’t beat the ride.” Only in very recent times are people on “catch and release” or only cited and walked. In these times, unless you only earn a ticket, you take the ride. The station processes you and figures out if you’re worth making any charges stick while trying to make you feel like you’re dirt. It’s to discourage you from breaking the law again, especially if it’s a mundane one.

My contributions to the community are all done in-city through quality roleplay and upholding the spirit of the hobby rather than getting caught up in constantly trying to push an agenda that eliminates having to work and interact with others to keep up with the competition. Everyone comes in hot trying to come up with some new way they can level the playing field and/or get ahead of others. How about work with what the city has to offer and think out something more balanced that actually contributes something to the city rather than "money printer go brr". You're completely see through in this endeavor and that's why you're mad when I criticize it. Get over yourself and realize that your ideas need refinement and you should actually attempt to play the server how it's intended. You really need a counter-fitting character that bad? The advertising board should just become a catch all bulletin board for news and advertising. Would give people and factions some good chances to announce RP info outside of just random advertising

Your ban appeal has been reviewed and accepted. The ban will be reduced to 30 days. While I agree that your mugging RP may not have been against server rules per say, I do agree that your RP needs to be elevated in order to bring quality RP to the server. As staff we don’t define how you should RP, but we do define the rules you RP in. Concern has been made that your RP may not be beneficial to the server and has negatively affected others RP, by being a nuisance/minge. Not only that, but the screenshot also you shared of a mugging bounty being sent in a discord channel, is highly against the rules. As stated previously, this has ever makings of a “detachment 0” but I did scour through the Supreme discord channels and had only seen a couple of mentions of a bounty and handed out bans to those individuals involved. You have POs revolving around NITRP, and with the metagame evidence being shown above, I do see fit that a ban be served. I advise you take this time off to determine the quality of RP you will bring when you return to the server.
