Right now, rumour is 60% saying retarded shit without facing RP consequences, and 40% being used properly. I think there could be a few ways to go about changing this. 1 - Its removal entirely, and adding a system similar to the city board for creating an actual marketplace for criminals, and then enabling OOC. (The OOC part is optional) 2 - Adding a cooldown, to incentivize using it for its intended purpose, and enforcing misuse 3- Creating a flag for it, and whenever someone misuses it, they lose access for x amount of time based on the severity of the punishment. It'll also make the server seem more serious to newer players, not seeing a glorified ooc chat going off with stupid messages 24/7

The anonymous shit talking is overdone and creates a borderline ooc chat, it's always just "haha faction is this and that, join a real faction" maybe blacklist faction names, or something similar? The chat is 1 of the biggest problems on diverge, and it would be a great start if players had some sort of consequence for saying retarded shit in rumour not just ooc terms, but the constant autistic sperg attacks too

Okay hear me out, imagine instead of "Falling off a building" or "drowning in a lake" to pk your self you could totally take a pistol or a shotgun and totally like blow ya shit smooove off. Like imagine you're in a meeting or something or a public gathering and you wanted to ruin someones day so badly, you could just stand up, have an animation of a glock or vp70 or whatever, point it at your temple and then you can shoot. With shotguns or rifles it would be more like a curt cobain/dayz suicide where you're on your knees. idk just a thought. Thought it would be kinda funny and pretty dramatic for RP scenarios like shooting your self before the cop does or something idk.

Staff is currently Lazy af. Rp is at an all time Low. Rumour is an all time Shitshow.

I think the flag option would be the best. People say stupid shit over rumour all the time because they think it's completely anonymous like staff can't see who is posting them. For example, last night I muted two people for saying "Askull is a lispy retard". Using OOC terms IC in a small group of people is one thing, but retards will use rumour to type stupid OOC shit to get attention from the majority of the server. If we had flags, this wouldn't be such an issue.

If people could just learn to talk shit IC and use underground ads in a way that makes sense just a LITTLE more often, this wouldn’t even need to be a suggestion.

+1 Servers becoming a DarkRP. Option 1 is good but bring back ooc might not be the best shout. option 3 also sounds good. Maybe a mix of the first parts of both. - A market Place system that are flags given to crim faction members. They could then be taken away when misused.

been thinking about this for a little and had to ask somewhere; whats so wrong/bad about people being in the back of vehicles? people have been riding in truck beds/the back of vehicles ever since their inception irl and yet we have seem to have an unspoken OOC rule that seems to forbid people from doing such in character; somehow its failrp, nitrp, or some other hammed up reason that i've come across in the past- but truth be told there is nothing unrealistic about the practice. whenever i've asked staff about it in the past they've given me a firm no and cautionary warning against it and while happy to oblige at a staff's discretion on rules- after a cursory glance there is no real server/vehicle rule around the practice. i dare not risk the practice in RP when it would matter having that nebulousness surrounding it- still theres a part of me that is curious as to whether or not you can be allowed to use it as a medium for transport or even going as far as use in drive-by's if in a time of conflict. people would still be liable to the dangers that are implied in standing in an open truck bed (i.e. falling out or ragdolling) and its very clearly/obviously illegal to have an unsecured passenger (no less one firing a weapon), but again it is hardly unrealistic. can there be some clarity on this for future reference? if there are issues surrounding performance or otherwise that keep it from being viable that is fine; but perhaps if thats the case there should be an addendum to the vehicle rules to help cement it because as it stands all we have is a gentleman's agreement.
