However, if I am the only mod on at the time of the RDM, I think its reasonable to switch characters to deal with it, so they don't feel like they are able to just continue doing it without any consequence(s) You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would gather evidence of the abusing, but if it isn't anything that's too absurd, I would just wait in case it was just error which we all make, but if it continues to get worse, I will definitely report the abuser to higher ranks and provide them the evidence. A system that takes the simple scratch off ticket that everyone knows well, and implementing it into the game as a way for players to gamble, and make another source of income in a legal way (or illegal if this goes far). There can be different tickets that have low risk-low reward and high risk-high reward; the rewards being anywhere from a few dollars to in the thousands. As Cookies mentioned, just because he was being annoying on the piano, doesn't mean you should just kill him. You did not follow the proper steps to escalate the situation before resorting to killing him. You also could have contacted a staff member to explain the situation to, and have them deal with it. With your previous bans, you should know the proper escalation rules. That being said, I do believe a week is a little long given the circumstances, so I will reduce the ban to 3 days. I think that with the current state of the server the only Italian Family's to exist are large scale crime organizations with well over hundreds of members (which is fine since we are in the 80s and crime is at a high), but as we move closer to the 90s smaller scale family's/ glorified crews/ small outfits are starting to appear and hold out during crime crackdowns. The way that this application is written and made to sound is that they want to roleplay as the little guys who aren't immediately trying to make claims to anything. I think this kinda rp is lacking in the server since everyone and their mother wants to be Joe Pesci tough guys, I say give these guys a chance to try something else out rather than accept the next absurdly foreign faction cause that's what people think is game changingly different. (Keep in mind every different race faction promised to stand out and i genuinely don't see that happening a whole lot) Just something to think about

Jmoorsey, Honestly as you're constantly spamming tickets with 'former staff btw' you should know better as a former staff member! You "attacked the wrong person" and then attempted to rdm the guy with the hammer and got you killed, even if there was a clip to prove it was not rdm due to some what reason, you still broke NLR and you returned to the scene with your bike within 2 minutes to intentionally run them over and you were laughing about it! Don't think you should be unbanned and consider yourself lucky that it was only a 3d ban you received 3 notes in a span of 5 days. You say he kept coming up to you and calling you names, that's true but not one of those times did you follow proper escalation rules, you just beat him with a hammer every single time he called you a nigger. You also say you never killed him yourself, logs say differently. You also dropped a bunch of hammers outside of the Corsican building so you could get other people to beat him with a hammer every time he called you a nigger.

Hi. I am the member of staff who banned you. You were on a massive minge spree and to be completely honest I should have banned you earlier in the day for your earlier actions which was repeatedly RDMing a guy because he called you a nigger. However, I didn't punish you nor did any other member of staff who was online at the time. What you were banned for is everything seen in this clip. You were harassing a lot of people throughout the day and just overall being a nuisance to everyone on the server. You're quite lucky to get such a short ban considering you also were noted multiple times in the past week for VDM & RDM.

I tried bringing you to a sit to talk about the incident, but you decided to leave the server. I then waited for your return and noticed you had switched to a different character to avoid the felony. I brought you to a sit and discussed the in-game court process with you, which you decided you didn’t want to pursue. You refused to switch back to the character to continue the roleplay and instead asked to be banned to circumvent the felony charge. Here's a section from the PK guidelines explaining that you can be permakilled for disconnecting. Hello! First, I understand not everyone has fully gone through and read the rules of our server. Ignorance does not give you immunity from them though. As shittor quoted, you can in fact be PK’d for LTARP in the case of more serious felonies. In your case, you were facing (minimum before any investigation) Dangerous Conduct with a Weapon and Attempted Murder. Both of those are pretty serious felonies so that box has been checked. On top of this, you were still offered to continue the RP after actively choosing to disconnect, reconnect, and start playing on another character. These actions show us clearly you knew exactly what you were doing. Even seeing this the PK’ing admin gave you an explanation of what continuing the RP would entail and you chose repeatedly to not partake in the RP at all. This is what lead to your PK. When informed of this you then tried to argue for just banning you for LTARP instead of a PK and that is not a behavior we want to support or precedent we want to have. Your appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this PK to be reasonable and/or justified. You may not re-appeal this PK.

The idea is there, its just how it would be done. For those who enter the program, UA or PD would make them change their name. For those who already have the snitches f3 - There must be a way to remove that when they go into the program. This brings alot of more snitchRP because those who snitch end up getting whacked anyways. This would allow them to have a second chance in a different mafia or go straight while still being hunted by their previous family.

Wow so looking at these replies. First off, I want to clear the air... I’m not trying to be dishonest or exaggerate anything. I genuinely hadn’t played GMod in years and didn’t even remember the exact timeline or ban reason until I tried reconnecting recently. If I made an alt in the past, I won’t deny it... it was probably just a dumb move on my part at the time trying to get back in without thinking things through properly. That's gaming communities... It happens, especially for all the randoms replying to this ban appeal.. they probably have plenty of alts on Garrys Mod as well. That said, I fully understand how that looks now and I take accountability for it. I was younger and clearly not making the smartest decisions. I’m not here to make excuses... just genuinely asking for another shot to come back and be part of the server the right way this time. I’m not trying to cause problems or waste anyone’s time.
