What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * The Reason I'd like to apply is because of the fact most staff don't take tickets after they meet the quota. Many people including myself have experienced long wait times when there are clearly staff on to take tickets. There were many times I was RDM'd and I would make tickets having to wait 30+ minutes or even at times not getting my ticket answered. I personally don't want people having that sort of experience anymore. So my motivation is to change the speed tickets are taken or at least at the rate they are taken. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I believe that I should be considered over other candidates because of the fact I'm on so much. Sure there are many people who have lots of game time but I'm actually interacting with people when online. I provide a great experience and interact well with any person I come across, even those I don't really get along with I deal with in a very reasonable way. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): No I do not but I'm willing to learn and try my best to become a great staff member. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: yes, twice for metagame and twice for rdm, I dont have a excuse for my bans I was doing dumb things it has been a few months close to a year since my last ban and I try my best to follow the rules Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * Yes I am a well-known guy in our community. Many people would say I'm a funny guy and others would say I'm somewhat of a bully. But at the end of the day, I'm always helping out my peers. And I would even say people like being around me. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: The Christmas event were santa gave drugs and class 4s Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Boomroasted, caboose, h4xx3z,toast,Mangos,darkfire,fox ------------------------------------------------- Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: if someone were to get RDM'd while I was off-duty and I wasn't involved with it I would ask/wait for them to make a ticket. And deal with it in a professional way. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: What I would do is gather as much evidence as possible and report them for abuse. And if I didn't get evidence of it I would alert the higher staff team to be on the lookout for that person A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would not be biased towards a situation like this, I would let another staff member take the ticket to avoid any chances of the situation being seen as biased and if no-one was available I would then take the ticket and try my best to deal with the situation and gather all available evidence and make a decision from there

+1 I do agree with some of the comments made about his lack of experience however a lot of people don't have prior staff experience if this is all they play on GMOD. Personally I think Morty would be great for staff. He is a very disciplined person and would put legitimate effort into this role. I like the fact that he has stated he would be committed to answering tickets as he does make a valid point about current staff after hitting their quota. Looking at all of the recommendations its clear he has made an impact on this server and this would only allow him to make an even larger impact. This man has my full support - the real Greg

@morty_sigma don’t let this bring you down cause again I’ve never met you in game or over a discord call, and if the other experienced staff members are vouching for you I’ll take their word, this response is PURELY from just reading the application. If they say you’re a good guy and would make a good fit then I’ll trust them.

Huge +1. Priors aside, I've had many RP instances with him and have never seen him act on OOC information. Only negative thing I've seen on this app is a mention of the Christmas incident, please don't bring it up again. All jokes aside, Morty would be a great candidate for staff.

-1 (idk you really, I’ve never met you before personally so I’m judging you just based off the application, you having staff recommendations is a good sign though as well) you have two priors for metagaming. Not 1, but 2. This to me seems as a massive red flag, as well as having 2 priors for RDM as well, that’s not a great mixture looking at it. Also feels like not too much effort was put into the answers for a few of the questions. oh also you’re opening statement badmouthing staffs ticket numbers is a red flag for me. There’s better ways to word things like that. Also certain tickets like RDM and Metagaming tickets take considerably longer than a whitelist or PK ticket, there’s several factions into why tickets take long sometimes, hence why one of my reasons to apply was to try and mitigate that problem, giving more players another staff member to take their ticket being online all the time also IMO isn’t a separating quality to consider someone, it just shows you have a lot of time on your hands, but that’s about it.

+1 Its about time he put in a staff app. Ive known Morty for awhile on Diverge, he is a good friend and player. I can picture him being a good candidate for staff.

We added some more events we've run to our listing as well as improved our RP section with videos and pictures of all of our exploits during our time here. We've been running events for more than two months now with at least one event per week, running for multiple people and working with multiple businesses. This has been updated with a new count on interested people in the Ruain Collection + our catalog of events we've run since we've gotten started. We have been running a vast array of events since our inception on the server for two months straight and have shown no signs of stopping. We're working with other factions both approved and unapproved (shoutout to my EMS fellas) to make these happen and consistently get up to an entire third of the server at peak hours coming to our events to have fun. We managed to run another successful boxing event, making it a month straight that we've done weekly boxing matches for the entirety of Southside! Showing off an image from the early portions of it that Lemon took, but we had a great time and got 11 more matches under our belt, bringing us up to over 50 matches run! Emerald Isle Entertainment is a fun time to run. I'm hoping I get to see more people there!

What people need to realize is that even people who won't be allies in the game can create great roleplay as people on opposing sides. With the Cassanos healthy on the other side, I'm damned sure we'll have a ball making roleplay in a healthy way on the server. Shake hands and be nice OOC, have great opposing RP IC. Neither did I, if it means anything. Like I said, I hadn't made any real correlation so it was what it was to me. However, I completely disagree with not being ready to lead a faction! On top of my connections, I do have another solid HC member I didn't feel a distinct need to mention. However, since you bring it up as something for me to be ready, I'll bring him up! He's not only a former capo of the very same family my friend was from, but he's an extremely dedicated individual that assisted in making a lot of our rituals. He's well known in the Lucchese faction and worked a lot with Sanzensekai and Takahashi-kai. We have him as one of our capos at the present moment and he has months of experience with keeping ground-level employees properly organized. I hope the Cassanos get approved alongside us! I think we could have a very fruitful relationship if we could just get past this whole playtime issue. I look forward to when we can eat from the same table.

There have been a few changes made to the family after discussions with HC of the Ruain Collective. The lore has had the above added to the end. This is to signify the former cult's pivot to a crime family. The 'Irish Catholic Cult' portion has been removed from the title. The information on the types of roleplay we do has been edited. While we retain some rituals and traditions, we will ultimately be redoing a lot of things to better fit the mold of Southside and bring our own unique spin to roleplay in other ways aside from ways that could result in zealots being born from a cult. The family type has been changed from Cult to Crime Family. While I was in love with the idea of a cult in Southside, I believe it is not worth sinking the ship to save the Captain, so to speak. We are much more interested in being part of the roleplay and making our own events in our own unique way. To that end, we have pivoted our trajectory and aim to be a crime family with a designed cult-like past. Let it be said I do not want to associate with minges and the like. I have considered it. If only because I do see there's a lot of negative stigma with the cult aspect of things on this server and I would hate for us to get bogged down by it. Perhaps it'd be better if we did something along the lines of being a cult in terms of our traditions within the crime family, but in the middle layer, be a crime family? I can talk to my friend Lemon and see what we're willing to change up in that regard. We really just want to indulge in the specific roleplay of dedicated, religious people who dedicate to a cult-ish degree. It isn't as if I'd say 'I want to be a cult or I don't want a faction at all'. Would it be acceptable to say we could retain those traditions and roleplay purely within the faction but function as a crime family for the sake of dealing with other families? The last thing I would want to do is create friction with others over what people of the past have done. I like my cult idea, but more and more it seems like people are bringing up stuff from the past and I don't want it to cloud what would otherwise be a really fun faction.

Have you considered changing the active cult aspect? The organization that began as a cult and instead morphed into a modern crime family. Retain some tradition but largely view the cult aspect as a part of the 'old history' or your group.

While I don't think I agree with your second point of being Irish being a negative, I would like to make it clear like I have in previous posts. I've heard of how abrasive the cult followings of the past have been, how mingey they can be. I refuse to be that kind of person. Anyone who has met with me in-game knows that I am not personally the type to ever commit such things. The cult roleplay is purely meant to be inward - a bonus for those who have joined the Collective. To bring people into the cult roleplay involuntarily would be an annoyance to the general public. They're not consenting to that sort of thing, so I refuse to make them bend to that. This is a mafia server first and foremost, so going out on the streets and committing atrocities in the name of some god is not the kind of roleplay I am intending to foster. Our aspects as a cult stop at our front door and do not go outward. If we spread our word, it will be through sermons and speaking to others in persuasive ways rather than downing on others, hunting them down or killing for the sake of wanting to commit violence. I hate these things and would hate if they were done to me while I was minding my own business in the game. My mantra is 'If I don't want it done to me, I will not do it to another person.' Despite the reputation of cult-like factions on this server, I don't rebrand because I'm confident I can make it work. Instead, I aim to challenge the notion and turn it on its head. I aim to be the example of how to actually run a cult faction without being a group of miscreants who harass people and make an ass of themselves in public places. It won't be instant, but every single faction on this server has the people who act out because they want to be stupid, that is unavoidable and it'd be naïve to believe we'd be able to perfectly screen every member. No one ever truly can. I won't ask you to change your opinion now. In fact, I hope you stick around and watch as our faction grows in the hopes that you'll believe not all cult-like factions (or Irish, for that matter) are not bad! We have officially edited our business name from Wonkaland to Emerald Isle Entertainment. Something a bit more green, something a bit more our scene! Thanks for answering! I really like where your head is at with it all. You clearly have thought through all the reasons why the cult would be doing what it's doing. I think you have what it takes to create a fun and engaging cult faction.

+1 I think a cult faction sounds like it'd create good rp experiences on the server. The only issue is if drugs, crime and gambling are sinful what racket would you be aiming for? I see in your comments you mention it would act like a normal gang, but does having a drug racket fit into the whole no sin lifestyle of a cult?

Extremely solid +1, Prodigy has been working hard trying to improve genuine RP, setting up events and trying to bring the community together. With his own faction I am more than sure he and his team are able to create a more welcoming & positive atmosphere on the server.

I would love to see an Irish faction actually make it for once in the city. Last few factions have failed miserably, +1 good luck, that is if you get accepted
