  1. Past hour
  2. Hey aint there a npc at the back of the clothing store pretty sure that's in his field of view
  3. Today
  4. I appreciate it. I still need to work on some things but constructive criticism is always helpful.
  5. I believe that you misunderstand how the mugging works and how common sense works as well. Let's pose a scenario where I wanted to mug someone. The biggest concerns while mugging are (or at least SHOULD be) if I will be receiving a punishment through my crime family or through the police. Inherently, if you're reporting a mugging to either higherups in your faction or to the police, you have to DESCRIBE THE ASSAILANT. If I say, "A man who was wearing a white shirt and jeans mugged me!!!", then lo and behold, it's going to be almost impossible to find the person since that's just the default clothing. The same goes for real-life mugging, if I didn't want to be caught, I would probably put on something non-descript like a mask and black clothing so that it makes the police's job 100x harder to find me since half of the population walks around with that on everyday. Secondly, I don't really see the comparison with the precedent given. Racket Wars on Diverge Networks are just flat out unrealistic. The entire concept is that you walk up and kill someone so that you can have a more expensive drug, which goes on for hours on end. Additionally, this is only locked to certain groups of criminals at a time. The entire point of the Racket War is to open yourself up to police action in exchange for potentially getting a better drug to make more money. The reason it would be unfair to wear a white shirt during a Racket War is because the entire point of the event is to avoid getting caught while doing openly illegal things on the street. The exact opposite is true of mugging. The goal of mugging is to successfully take things off of a person in a private setting. The rules of mugging reflect this value of privacy during a mugging as they created a color-coded map to describe which places were private enough so that you could mug someone. The two functions of Diverge are opposite in their nature, and it's not really fair to compare the two. Anyways, -1 from me. People will complain until the day Diverge shuts down that mugging is either too lenient or too restrictive. Can't please them all.
  6. -1 After doing a bit of my own research into previous bans as I truly don't recall many roleplay encounters I have had with you, I can't in good conscious recommend you for staff. I am all about second chances, but from your ban & note history, it seems like you've been given upwards of 30 by my count. The last note issued to you was in April, which leaves less than 3 months since your last infraction. I think this staff application would be different in many ways if this were made maybe 6 months since your last infraction or maybe even a year, but it seems that's not the case. I find it far-fetched that you are truly "reformed" after literal years of minging and rule breaking. Staff members are inherently the role models for how roleplay should be conducted on the server when it comes to behaving during roleplay and actually following the rules, and it seems like you are a sort of antithesis from the history I'm reading. Like I mentioned though, I don't know you. All of this information is simply the objective records of your history from the past. If people other than your minge friends can attest to your seriousness I may end up editing this post and changing my opinion, but until significant time has passed since your last infraction or enough people truly stick their neck out for you, I don't think you would be a good addition to the staff team.
  7. What a reach, making up your scenario of what you think is true and running with it as if it were fact. Talking like the notion of "There's an event going on so the police are pre-disposed so that's why I will do illegal shit and not get caught" can even be proven as true. Yes those two statements are in conflict with eachother because you made them up to be in conflict with eachother, that's what we call a strawman argument. So, no, you cannot prove that Akira acted in bath faith abusing the event going on to do what he did. The fact that a cop actually came for him disproves that whole notion. You wanna know what can actually be and has been proven? The fact that you as a plainshirt NOT RPing as a Sargeant and NOT following the proper rules and etiquette should not have gotten involved at all, nevertheless go out of your way after to PK the character all by yourself.
  8. Im that serious, if i grossly screw up - I will happily take a perma ban on the chin.
  9. first time hearing omerta's voice. so soft and sweet
  10. Street smarts, my guy.. street smarts... Okay sure if you get mugged by whiteshirts, it becomes incredible difficult to find out who they are with very limited information, especially if they're masked up [...remember street smarts? your gut should be yelling at you at this point if a whiteshirt is following you masked up]. White shirts also dont pop out of no where... if you're a target, they've either been scouting you for a short while and you just didnt perceive them, or they're driving around in a late 2010s hyper car and just hot drop on your ass. At this point prevention, ICly, is the biggest thing that can help and Street Smarts.
  11. Admin who issued the PK here. You clearly knew what was going on. You were held at gunpoint early in the interaction. The person who killed you stated, “Don’t fucking move,” yet you continued to move backwards and pulled out your gun. Also, I’m not really sure why you mentioned me by name in the appeal. I was not involved in this mugging. During your interaction with me, you kept dropping your Omertà name like I was supposed to know who you were. I’m assuming it hurt your ego when I didn’t, since you LTAPed immediately after.
  12. That is a fair concern I'd say a few people share with you especially if you're judging me based on how I used to play. I do not pretend that i've never made any mistakes or pushed boundaries in the past. The difference is that I've made a conscious effort to improve, and I think my recent conduct reflects that. B As staff, I'd be expected to enforce the rules consistently, including on myself. If i would be staff, it would not hide my history or pretend it didnt happen; infact it would be the contrary, i'd be thoroughly locked in and any minor misconduct would give staff a reason to boot me off and put the nail in the coffin with my time here. I'd expect to be held accountable just like anyone else and have been held accountable for these actions. It wouldn't be fair to assume I'd ignore rule breaks because of things I did over half a year ago or year(s) ago. Btw it would only be hypocritical if I actively kept doing these points you mention.
  13. Application is well thought out, and I like the responses. The final situational question is a little rough in my opinion, as bias is omnipresent in every scenario, regardless of intent. The question isn't whether it exists, the question is how much of it is acceptable. Overall, very good application. +1
  14. I made a poster that I believe reflects Diverge Networks to the current state of RP
  15. Application is decent, but there are lots of errors (spelling/grammar), and the last situational response is worrying to me. Lack of understanding of the first situational question. Overall, just a concerning lack of reading comprehension and the complete lack of awareness of the concept of "unconscious bias," leaves me worried about how this person may impact the staff team. There is a lot of room for improvement, too much of such for me to be comfortable giving anything more than a -1
  16. I like the guy, but I don't think he can take any job seriously enough to be effective as a staff member. Heavy minge attitude is really offputting from a staff member. -1
  17. I think someone is a widdle bit gwumpy about not getting his way in ESU. Logic_Nova may be the child but he's not the one that acted like one.
  18. +1 This guy, despite how dumb Bambi Zucchini was, does really good RP, and there are very few people who would be better at interpreting rules and determining the proverbial wheat from the chaff
  19. +1 This guy follows the rules and does good RP. Not much higher of a standard could be wanted.
  20. -1 Everyone loves Howie, I think he's a great dude, and I know that he is capable of good RP, and I also believe that he probably has better judgement than most people entrusted with being staff. On the other hand, I can't give a strong +1 here because most of what I see you do is minge or at least minge-spectrum activity; most of what I see from Howie is trying to get a ruse out of people, copbaiting, and generally other mingey activities. I understand that Howie is well liked, and he is a likeable person, but I believe a person's roleplay history should be at the front of determining if someone should be staff, and in this department, despite his capability, he has spent the majority of his time minging, copbaiting, getting PKed and creating a "new" (slightly different) character to do the same exact thing on, and despite his likeability, contributing to the overall enshittification of roleplay and arguably the server. Howie is fun to be around, but will Howie warn or ban people for copbaiting when it's what he spends half his time doing? Will Howie warn or ban people for being PKed, then assuming the same role in their family (which he has done), for making a character with an analogous name to do the same RP? I don't believe so, and, if so, would it not be hypocritical for him to do so while doing those things himself. I have had good times with Howie, but being likeable doesn't excuse the reality of what he does here, I think the mere tolerance of serial minges is a step that has turned Diverge closer to DarkRP than was ever intended, and if we make anyone who minges on a constant basis staff, we might as well merge communities with TitsRP.
  21. Good thing I pulled my gun out before the guy in front of me issued any commands. Plus, if they had been coordinated better and weren’t spazzing out, running all around like speds and shouting in Discord (just a guess but probably 100% correct) then they outnumbered us and could’ve put 2 armed men per person which would’ve put us under Fear RP anyways. I am not above taking a mugging on the chin but unfortunately everyone spazzes out and uses chaos to shoot first and get bodies dropped before asking questions later. State of play.
  22. Why Sonny and Smokes didnt insta pull out guns when Rain and then pulled up is beyond me. That was their own dumb fault and not due to any server rules.
  23. You can make as many arguments as you want, but the server rules are clear. You're not a Detective and as a Patrol Officer you can't respond to situations while wearing a white shirt. Even if you do the rules explicitly state that, because you weren't in the proper uniform your involvement cannot result in a PK
  24. I never said he was the one who shot you. I was the one who shot you and there's no way the Rockefeller NPC could have witnessed me initiating the mugging inside the alleyway
  25. as much as i fucking despise this useless retarded excuse of a captain to my decavalcante family, i will say he is a solid rpers, rule abider, and non metagamer absolutely REFUSING to metagame for me. +1
  26. thats not the guy that shot me
