+100 would make the process of letting a lawyer in PD so much easier
  2. +1 good idea, billboards in game have nothing to do with actual rp
  3. I found this information in the FAQ in the guides and information threads. You can see here that I previously had a special character in a previous steam name.
  4. In-Game Name(s): Billy Winchester John Fitzgerald Joseph W. Myers Igor Usales Richtoffen Corbienavich Officer Joseph Scib Steam Name: joeeey1 Steam Profile: Profile Link Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:179061818 Discord Username: joeeey1 Age: 19 When did you first join the server: March of 2021 Total playtime on our Servers: 1 week, 3 days, 3 hours. Time is inaccurate due to having a special character in an old steam name. Time Zone: CST How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 15+ Hours a week. Have you read the rules?: Yes. Do you have a working microphone?: Yes. Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets?: Yes. Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: Nutscript, yes. Sam, no. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes. ------------------------------------------------- Long Answer Questions proceeded with an asterix require a response of 3 Sentences Minimum. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * I really enjoy the community and the immersive roleplay scenarios that the Diverge player base creates. I want to use my time in-game to give back to the community and be apart of the team that ensures that every player enjoys a rewarding and fair experience. My motivation stems from wanting to help maintain the environment that made me enjoy roleplaying on the server. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * If chosen to be apart of the staff team, I would make my goal to help every player without judgement or bias, no matter the issue. I will always provide absolute fairness in sits, and never abuse any of the mechanics that come with being a staff member. I will utilize my time spent in the server dedicated to ensuring that players are following the rules and that situations are swiftly, appropriately, and fairly dealt with. I believe that I am very cordial and easy to speak with. I have a calm demeanor and the capability to make decisions under pressure. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): Prominent DarkRP - Owner - Two years. A fun project with friends where we hosted a small anarchy DRP server. Had about thirty consistent players at peak time. Troopers Paradise SWRP - Developer - One year. Another fun little project with some friends. Inter SWRP - Administrator - Two months - I was invited to be a staff member, server didn't last long. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I was banned in 2021, and 2022. My First ban was for LTARP, where I left the server shortly following a PK. The second ban was for item transfer. I do understand that I was in the wrong in the past and I was appropriately reprimanded as such. Since my two pervious bans, I have strived to adhere to the rules. As of recent, I have only been given a note once. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I would 100% say that I am not a widely known person in the community. I have made some friends in the PD and some friends that I represent as a lawyer when they get into legal trouble. I believe that if you asked any of these people that I am acquainted with, they would say that I am a solid guy and a good RPer. I know that they would have nothing or little to say negatively about myself. Although I am not necessarily known, I interact with a lot of the players on the server very regularly either on my police character, or as an employee at Rockefellers. I think that other community members would think of me just as a normal guy with nothing negative to say. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: My favorite recent moment was the kidnapping and recovery of Commissioner Snoop in the night club. But my favorite all time moment was the time when my friends and I hosted illegal street races which resulted in a huge police chase. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: No. ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Record a clip of the incident, and make a report to the on-duty staff like a regular player. If no staff are available in the server, I would gather further information and make a player report on the forums. If the player is continuing to RDM other players, and a report is made, then I would take action against him. Although I have the player in a sit, I would not reprimand the player for RDMing me. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would gather sufficient evidence (specifically video) against the fellow staff member and proceed to submit a staff report against them. I would also notify upper administration. Even though the abuse isn't "too noticeable", it is still staff abuse however. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would proceed with an unbiased and professional stance on the situation even though the ticket is against my friend. If the evidence is sufficient or if I personally witnessed my friend RDM'ing and minging, I would take the appropriate course of action against them regardless of our in-character relationship or friendship. I would not allow slack just because they are my friend. It would be easy to allow my friend to get by with minimal or no punishment, but that would be wrong and considered abuse.
  5. I have been more active since the posting of our application, I have gained two and a half additional days of playtime. My self and other "faction members" have made a lot of connections and friends as well. I have one character in a crime faction, one in the Rockefeller Oil Company, my Cadet char is now an Officer with an application open to become ESU, and I had my BAR reinstated where I have helped numerous players get released from jail / reduced sentences. My last ban was in 2022. Since returning I have made extra sure to be aware of the rules and follow them at all times. I appreciate the reply
  6. Oh cool I wasn't aware that other faction also had this idea. What faction are you apart of? I'd be interested in making a character for it.
  7. Read the reply I made regarding my playtime Thank you for replying.
  8. Before this application gains any more attention and comments pertaining to my current playtime, I am a long time player of Garry's Mod Mafia RP. I first started on Mobsters Paradise back in late 2018. I played on the relatively unsuccessful relaunch of MP, and eventually moved to Diverge in 2021 when it launched. I have lead factions in all three servers. If you look at the date I joined the forums, it is 1 Mar 2021. My playtime is not exactly 100% accurate lmfao. Anyways, thanks for reading my application, I appreciate it. Feel free to leave any critique or ideas in the replies.
  9. Name of Faction: Myers Crime Family Number of Members (Minimum of 5): Twelve. Type Of Faction (Family, Triad, Street Gang, etc): Crime Family Ethnic Background (ex: Italian, Greek, African American, Irish, etc): German American. Name of Character running the faction: Joseph w. Myers Your Discord # (ex: gamer#4210): joeeey1 Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:179061818 Your Server playtime (UPDATED): 1 week, 3 days, 3 hours Do you acknowledge and agree to all faction rules as detailed on the server rules page? (Yes/No): Yes. Do you acknowledge that your faction discord will be owned by us? (Yes/No): Yes. Provide an example of the unique Roleplay your faction will bring to the server/what type of roleplay we can expect from your faction (Images/Videos Preferred): Funerals. Our faction intends on running a funeral home as a "front" business. Our funeral home would host legitimate services for those who want to memorialize permanently killed characters. We believe this would foster truly unique roleplay experiences, especially because we wouldn't just be another faction running a restaurant or bar, etc. Other players could expect to see our faction acting as mediators between the other rival factions, brining together all types of players to honor the memory of the deceased character. Our funeral home would also give the several players who enjoy roleplaying as preachers / priests, as they could preform the funeral mass, and the rite of committal at the burial site. Provide examples or event ideas to promote activity within your faction and keep people interested. (Reference your unique RP from the question above): As stated above, our faction would host funerals at the church for players to be memorialized after being PKed. My factions staff would personally set up the viewing chapel, say a few words about the deceased, and say a prayer. We believe that hosting funerals for other factions members would allow us to foster close connections to the other factions, which could lead to deeper roleplay scenarios and close ties to other crime families. My faction hosting funeral events would promote activity and interest in our faction. Along side with hosting funerals, we would also have a side business. I would personally hold events in my faction to drive recruitment and also money making. The top performers would earn money and special awards. Organization Backstory (Min. of 250+ Words & any images): In August of 1946, Austin, the oldest sibling, and his parents immigrated to New York City from the country sides of East Germany in hopes of a better future for them and their future children; they wished to leave behind the farm lifestyle in hopes of a better life. After one year of being in the states and going through the naturalization process, they had their first child, Joseph Myers. Both children had a rough childhood. They were constantly in and out of houses, apartments, and schools because his father had struggled to keep a job. Sometimes, they didn't have food on their plates, the pair were unsure at times when they would have their next shower. The brothers never had a "normal" childhood. Most of their early years were spent working in local restaurants and newspaper stands to support the growing family. Then, when Austin and Joseph were eleven and five, unexpectedly, the mother had found out she was pregnant with a set of twins, Julian and Quaid. It was rough for the mother, she had worried that they would have to go through the same financial struggles they had to endure. From the day the twins were born, Austin and Joseph, even though being very young, had taken care of the twins and treated them with great care. As the brothers grew up, Austin had always watched out for his younger siblings. Even if it was as simple as getting a glass of water for them if they woke up thirsty. He had loved them dearly. But, as the brothers got older, their situation with money didn't get any better. They were still struggling, even more now because they had an extra two mouths to feed. As soon as the brothers were able to work, they got jobs too. They all worked tirelessly to support their family, pay the bills, put food on the table, and make sure they were able to afford their mothers medication due to the complications she endured during childbirth. When Austin had turned 14, he started running around with a disreputable group of boys his age, who would become his friends for life. They had taught him how to pickpocket, and how to shoplift. Now his main source of income was from stealing items and fencing them. He had kept it a secret from his family, knowing that they would be disappointed in him for stealing. When Austin turned 15, he dropped out of school. He had attempted to keep it a secret from his parents, but they had found out after a while. He now spent all of his time running around with his "crew" and stealing from small corner stores and pickpocketing, telling his parents that he was working at a post office and other odd jobs. As the years went on, things, of course, didn't get any better. Money only became more scarce. The family was still struggling with money, and everyone was doing their part to help out. But, as the years went on, Austin had started to get into more illegal activities, dealing drugs like cocaine and heroin. At this time, he was seventeen. He was working corners for The Carmellow Family. Austin had been introduced to the family by a friend he made in the group he was stealing with. He was making a decent amount of money, even bringing home more money than his dad sometimes. He had realized his potential in drugs, deciding to start his own drug operation. He had made a contact within the Carmellow Family, who could sell him bricks of cocaine for a good price. The only stipulation is that he owed the Carmellow Family a certain percentage of the profit he made. He had hired his friends from his childhood to run drugs for him, he knew they would be loyal, and they would never turn their backs on him. During all of this, the brothers were still working respectable jobs. The pair worked together at a local grocery store. They knew nothing about his brother's activities, Austin had kept it a secret from them because he didn't want them to follow his path into the criminal world. When the brothers turned seventeen and sixteen, Austin had a change of heart. Austin no longer wanted to see his family struggle to make ends meet for basic necessities. He asked them if they wanted an opportunity to make some real money. Of course, they took up his offer. He explained that no one could find out and the consequences they would face if they were to get caught could be life changing. Austin had given them positions within the group, making them his direct successors. After months of hard work, the business was booming, bringing home around $100,000 a month. They put their now elderly parents in an extravagant house in upstate New York, and paid off all of their debts. Everything was going great, but of course, nothing good stays forever. The Carmellow Family had accused Austin of not paying what he owed the crime family. Naturally, Austin felt as if he no longer had to keep his word on the agreement previously made with the crime family. They had placed a $35,000 hit on Austin. While the family, including the siblings parents, were out for a nice dinner to celebrate their success, a black unmarked car had pulled by the restaurant, rolled down the window and fired off an entire magazine from a suppressed MAC-10 into the restaurant window, killing four people. Most notable of the deceased was Austin. The kingpin of New York's newest and biggest drug running operation. The storm of gun fire also injured Joseph, leaving a permanent impairment in his movement. Austin had been hit three times in the chest, hitting vital organs including his heart and lungs. He had died right in front of his family, the people that he loved and cared for the most. And now, he was gone but his brothers were full of hate. Less than twenty-four hours after Austin's death, the three remaining brothers had taken over the operation. They decided to keep the business going, for Austin. The first thing they did as the head of the drug ring was order the death of Martin Carmellow, the head of The Carmellow Family, and Austin's old boss. About a week later, he was dead. He had been killed at a traffic light outside Sparks Steak House in Midtown Manhattan, for Austin. Under the brothers command, the family was doing better than ever, making around $575,000 a month, and moving around 300 Kilograms of cocaine a week. Everything was good again. They had opened up a beautiful funeral home in remembrance of Austin. Joseph, Julian, and Quaid went through the appropriate licensing processes to earn their funeral director and embalming certifications. And of course, the building was used as a front for a drug operation.
