What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: Chess Park, 6/3/89 when a group of party goers took a stand for their Civil and Constitutional Rights against an army of tyrant Police Officers. We were just there to listen to music and party, but then the feds showed up and tried to quell our fun. We took a stand against this disparity of justice and stood our ground against the tyrants. Even my Consig "Trick Trick" was falsely arrested for knowing his rights. This made such an impact on us as a company we even made a role for it on the discord. How do you handle this?: If I am off duty and there are other staff active and needing to take tickets, I will not get in their way. If it is a situation like I face quite often, where im on in the morning and it is low pop for staff, I am more than willing to step up to make sure the players are not waiting around for someone else to get on. I would "clock-in" as staff and stick around to not only handle the RDM ticket, but be there in case more situations should arise. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Report them to upper administration. This is the exact reason I am wanting to be in this position because I want all judgements to be fair. If I at least make the staff leads aware of the situation, I have done the minimum amount of my due diligence as a fellow member of staff to support the current player base. In either of these situations I will come armed with either clips, log screenshots, or other evidence that will solidify my report as being reliable. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: As a staff member I am going to refrain from taking tickets related to my own company. I do not want this to create a bias in my leadership or ability to be a staff member. Even though I have full intentions of being completely unbiased, we have seen before that this tends to be an issue. If there is another staff member available I will make sure they take the ticket instead of me. If not I will attempt to contact other staff to get in city and inform those involved to remake tickets once that staff member has come online.

Fun RP heavy way to let people park their cars for longer WITHOUT destroying the server with lag :D TLDR: Parking meter system like the one NYC has IRL you get a pass, use it on your car, it takes more time to despawn I saw someone suggest to remove car despawn timers, but as someone who remembers when cars had to ocasionally be disabled entirely due to lag, I disagree with this, but's still annoying to have your car despawn every 2 minutes, especially if you're someone who likes to sit around and do stuff. But since I've been to NYC I thought of these old ticket systems (Model from GTA Vice City) basically the idea is these would be on the map, you'd go up to one and use money to buy a ticket, then use that on your car (like a vehicle repair kit) and it would take more time to despawn. Pros: Fixes the annoying parts of car despawning Adds a cool RP feature that isn't too obtrusive "Let me put some money on the meter" is something I've heard a lot in NYC If done properly shouldn't horribly increase server lag, but provide a great deal of convenience for players and give them something to spend money on Something new for NYC workers to fix? I don't think that matters too much Cons: Dev time, especially if you wanted to make it in a way that incentives keeping server lag down by making tickets more expensive when the playercount/car count is high or something like that, it's not too bad, i went on a journey looking for this model and for pictures of the actual tickets so at the very least that part is done. I tried to see if parking meters already existed on the map but it's protected by some program and made noises at me, so if they do this idea could just use them. You'd probably need to make a menu, just with the time you want to buy on the meter, with more money for more time. Potential to cause server lag by cars just sitting around, this could be offset easily, either disable meters when there's a lot of cars, or make them much more expensive. Disabling them sounds much easier, I should have thought of that from the beginning I could say so much more about this idea but the inside of my head is getting away from me a bit, i want to talk about dynamic pricing or the specific font on the tickets, or the specifics of how different times would be priced to discourage people from leaving cars around forever, or how they would be placed around the map but I am going to post the suggestion now and people will think about it and tell me what they think about it and that will be great. I have been banned for almost two years. In that time I have made 3 appeals on this ban, understandably they have all been denied. I still have continued to play on other servers and stay active within other gmod communities, in one I have become a prominent player for my police rp (before my discharge) and pvp. I have also never alted or tried to cause severe discourse in this community. I was banned two years ago for metagame and before that I was already perma banned for rdm bait. I had a substantial amount of PO's ranging from metagame, rdm bait, and rdm. With the addition of this perma ban I reached 16 bans in total. When I was unpermad for rdm bait I said that I had changed and I was a roleplayer. But I quickly devolved back into the reasons for my removal of this community. I agree to what anzati said in my second appeal, I was associating with people who only wanted pvp instead of rp, but I am not going to act like I was too immature to not act different. Looking back into my old clips I can see that I was nothing but annoying. Sure, I was having fun but it was easy to see that other's were not. I have already apologised to the community numerous of times in appeals. There is nothing more that I can say or bring up other than how apologetic I am. It has been two years after all and I am looking to have a fresh start playing in other factions. I have had people reach out with the same question "when are you coming back". From both sides, people from the "anti-commission" zeitgeist as well as people in the commission. Some of those people have offered to pay for my unban but I always shy away from it. The escalation rules should be viewed as a shell and starting point, not a rigid checklist. UA looks at the full situation, all factions involved, and all relevant factors before making a determination, including faction size, recent hires, main character status, alt characters, and whether anyone is trying to gain an unfair advantage. The purpose of a lockdown / hire block is to prevent war jumping, temporary recruiting, and alt abuse. It also makes escalation uncomfortable for everyone involved, which should push factions toward a quicker resolution instead of letting the conflict drag out. If someone was actively maining a faction but never formally set it as their main, that is ultimately on the player and their faction leadership. If they were involved enough to be impacted by the escalation, they should have seen it coming and made sure their main was properly set. Leadership also has a responsibility to warn members before things reach that point. A lock can be adjusted or removed if UA believes the specific situation calls for it, but it should not be assumed. Unless UA clearly states otherwise, factions should treat the lockdown and main character requirements as active. In your case, you were scared because you thought Popov was going to PK you, so you left the faction to do hits for Supreme in another faction. Once you realized there was no orders you left the other faction and now are stuck as a civ. watching from the outside. If you want numbers.....at the start of the escalation Supreme had 140 alts(More than any other crim. faction) to Popov 30 alts, for mains there were 25 for Supreme and 13 for Popov...... this was taken into account during the main lock decision.

I was walking from Wright's pharmacy towards Little Italy when an unknown person noticed me and pointed a gun directly at my face. I asked him why he was pointing a gun at me and he replied "Nobody is putting up anything in your face man, "FUCK OFF" If he had answered respectfully, I would have said "my bad" and left the area. However, after being insulted and told to fuck off, I replied with "or what?" He then escalated the situation further by saying, "Or I'll fuck you up man, get outta here." I was roleplaying as a Black character living in the 1990s who had just been threatened and disrespected. If my goal was to RDM or bait someone into shooting me, I would have pulled out my gun immediately instead of following the Escalation Rules. After receiving a direct threat, I replied with "Try that shit" and attempted to throw a punch. As I started walking away, he said, "You missed, retarded." I turned back BECAUSE he INSULTED ME AGAIN. and i replied, "You don't even have the balls to fight like a real man, you fucking nerd." When I pushed his door, he pulled out his gun and SHOT me in the legs. Only after being shot i pull out my own weapon and return fire. I would also like to mention that the player returned to the scene immediately after dying. He came back, interacted with me and locked the door back (because door was left open when he died) and break the NLR Rules. If he denies this, the logs should show that the time of his death and the time he locked the door again are very close to each other. What I do not understand is, if the other player was uncomfortable with the situation or did not want to engage in that type of roleplay, why did he insult me, threaten me, and escalate the situation further? He could have continued the escalation without immediately resorting to gunfire. When I attempted to punch him, he had the option to fight back physically instead of shooting me. If he had chosen to continue the roleplay with a fist fight, I would have accepted that outcome and moved on. Instead of choosing any of those options, he decided to resolve the situation by trying to kill me. Does defending myself and returning fire after being shot really make this RDM bait? I only reacted to the options that were presented to me in character as the roleplay developed naturally. At no point was my goal to Bait someone into shooting me or create a reason to Kill another player. To summarize, he tried to kill me and failed. I defended myself and returned fire only after being shot. Around thirty minutes later, I was banned for RDM bait. I believe I followed all Escalation and Killing Rules correctly and simply reacted to the situation as it developed through roleplay. I want to ROLEPLAY, and ignoring a roleplay situation would make no sense when roleplay is the reason I am here. I am fully aware of the Killing Rules and Escalation Rules, and I have read them many times. I understand that, from an outside perspective, this situation may look like RDM bait, but that was never my intention. What do you do?: To gain better context, I would request to speak with the member. If it rather clear that it was a blatant abuse of their power, with complete disregard for the experience of other players, I would gather evidence, including recordings of the incidents, the conversation, and route it up to Upper Adminstration. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: There is no room for personal bias and to ensure this, I would request that a different member of the team take the ticket. If it comes to me, I would cite server rules, global rules, and the guidelines for administration to ensure that the ticket is handled fairly as if any other member of the team would do. To make sure that the situation is resolved per guidelines, if at any time that either I or any of the parties feel the sides are being taken due to past experiences, I would request another member of the team takes the ticket and provide only valid and fair context.

Now that prices for drugs and oil change every so often, I think it would be a good idea to add some sort of a button you could press in the Drug/Oil NPC that will tell you how much a baggie or barrel is selling for, so that you know when to start selling your stock.

Hey guys, I have thought of an idea to fix the issue of holding drug baggies for better prices, The Drug Compressor. This item would be similar to the processor in a sense that you would put drugs in it and it would have a wait time to make your finished product. This item would take 20 drug baggies and compress it into 1 3x3 sellable brick. Why would we need another drug brick? Well recently with the -20% +20% update, people are trying to hold their baggies. If you are in a similar situation to myself, you dont have much stash space left due to all your drugs and guns. This brick would allow people to save their baggies with less space until the price is right! So in conclusion, the Drug Compressor would be a similar item to the processor, compressing 20 drug baggies into 1 3x3 sellable brick in the hopes of saving space.

But can we update the corpse report to be able to test for drugs in system, check for lockpicks and restraints (unused) so that it can be determined if they were mugging or raiding (or potentially), if they had drugs on their person, if they're wearing armor, and if they were actively using something when they died (like a lockpick, restraint, or holding a gun in their hands).

What does this suggestion add / change / etc : You can't punch for 2 hours, and you can't sit down for 4 ( alt + e). I think a logical change is that you cannot DRIVE with untill you reach 3 hours of playtime. By climbing the corporate ladder employees can take on manager positions overseeing operations such as construction, call centers, organizing truck shipments and many other industries that need leadership to start up or for the best of the best, the oil business. Every White-Collar Corporation employee should strive to work their way onto the board of the corporation where all major decisions affecting every industry is made as well as the millions of dollars tied to each industry. The board and managers will work together to lay out plans to take over the oil market, making adjustments as needed and introducing new ways for the employees of the White-Collar Corporation to buy oil at greater rates. IP Acquisition: The White-Collar Corporation is regularly looking for new IPs and products or services to provide, taking advantage of the markets looking for assets that are for the taking. Examples of this include the acquisition of the Rockefeller Polo and Pin which brought the WCC into the clothing market, selling this combo for $5,000 to people around the city and being told off by the Rockefeller Company for trying to sell them to Rockefeller employees. Another example is the dissolution of Dom's Deli and La Fucina, a White-Collar Corporation employee saw opportunity and reserved the names of these businesses before trying to use the LLCs as leverage to speak with the Bonanno Crime Family and secure future business for the corporation while handing the businesses back. While the White-Collar Corporation understands business it does not understand the streets of Southside and how crime ridden they are, leading to Mr. White-Collar to be picked up outside of one of his businesses and sat down with the head of The Commission to understand why a corporation would try to buy out a deli and gun store before resolving the situation with a handshake and two glasses of whiskey... Breaking into the Market: The White-Collar Corporation will be relentless with breaking into the oil market to compete with the current oil companies. Only the most efficient and ruthless employees will become management or join the board within the oil division of the White-Collar Corporation where we will compete with and secure the customer base of the current oil companies by introducing an aggressive buying campaign as well as looking to provide a more stable presence in the market allowing customers to make their purchases without having to wait constantly for the other two oil companies. Loosely Based on the suggestion made by bullets, New Roleplay ways to get rid of a body would be amazing, since the Mob, and frankly many other gangs, would use more ways to get rid of a body than cutting someone up or burning their body (Since acid is so expensive, and you have to be a felon I didn't even mention it). I've seen bodies left in public, bodies acidized, burnt, and chopped up on server. Frankly Anything new would be cool, if not solely for neat roleplay and spicing up pks for both sides of the law (Since 90% of bodies are literally never found anyway) because being shot in park, or brought to your factions business never to be seen again is kind of boring. I've heard of the idea of making bodies be able to be loaded into car trunks similar to how you can load a restrained person into a car. IMO Being able to dump a body somewhere else probably wouldn't be balanced, but there's no harm in a suggestion like that. I'd love to hear what you guys think, and ways you could spice it up
