I know there are already many staff members who do this already, but another set of hands to help never hurts. I truly enjoy the nature of the role play on the server, and I want to help preserve it by being able to enforce the rules in a larger capacity. I am also motivated to help guide new players when they have questions, concerns, or issues with the server. I often feel as if newer players are overlooked, and I want to help change that. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I believe that I should be picked over other applicants because of my ability to stay calm, collected, and unbiased. I am equipped and mature enough to handle situations in a professional manner. I think that I can fairly staff the server and provide help and support to the playerbase. I would say that I built a pretty good reputation within my faction and other allied factions. A lot of other community members are pretty fond of me, and I have made a lot of friends in the community. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: So far, my favorite moment has been the racket war event. The PvP was a ton of fun, and I was really engaged working with my faction. Have any staff members recommended you? Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Clip the incident, and report it to another staff member. If no staff members are available in game, I would make a forum report. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Clip and save all of the evidence, make a staff report, and wait for UA to handle the situation. If the abuse was more severe, I would report it directly to a UA member through a ticket or DMs. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would proceed completely unbiased and would make decisions based on the evidence provided. I would not let the accused player off without a warning / punishment just because they are my friend.

Opening PKs On Cops, witsec changes: Right now, as it stands, there’s no recourse for police. Oftentimes, from what I’ve seen, the DAs office is unable to prosecute officers for purposes of maintaining the peace. IA, is often unwilling, because they think it should be a legal issue, or they’re friends so they get a slap on the wrist. Or sometimes nothing happens at all. And then good cops, often are fired. It’s a crack in the system that we’ve seen for a while, and the voices of the community have gotten larger asking for something to be done. To have some kind of recourse as a criminal. As a criminal, all you can do is watch as detectives, or other officers, blow through your entire organization, and go really overly hard on your organization in order to get whatever victory they have in mind. There’s nothing to be done. Typically, even if you find the detective, they’re placed inside the PD which is unraidable, and the only people willing to risk their job are usually conflict locked from doing so. So, detectives don’t get killed. They don’t usually get fired. They never get prosecuted. Same goes for every bureau, really. But Detectives are the current complaint of the community. What I propose, is finally opening up the window to actually pking cops. We need to loosen the rules surrounding cops being killed, and with that enter into actual RP. Now, there obviously needs to be restrictions, because obviously we want cops to be able to do their jobs and target illegal activities. However, there should be a limit. For instance, an orchestrator sends a UC into your faction. The UC escapes, and gets locked in the PD. You know who is running the operation, it’s some higher ranking detective. You can’t get to the UC, as they’re locked up. Soon, they’ll disappear. Open the door to killing the orchestrator. Require the PD to do some really great maneuvering and have to witsec the orchestrator too. This will provide an ample cooldown, so when a faction gets hit, you’re not in a situation where multiple factions are getting hit at once, because the orchestrator has to disappear. Furthermore, open the window to raids on the PD to kill these people. Obviously, it’s almost impossible to find someone who would be able to let you in, because even if you get let in you’re gonna have to start killing cops and it is considered a raid. I’d say, if HC is being targeted in a faction, allow for MAIN CHARACTERS (verified active players as well), be able to raid the PD when the orchestrator/UC is online in order to pk them. This should be done with UA APPROVAL. Pre-screened individuals who are partaking in this. The risk will lie in this kind of operation. You can kill one operation against your organization, but you naturally open the door to retaliation from the remaining individuals in the Detectives/PD. believe that it’s imperative to outline exactly what would constitute approval of this kind of operation. I’ve designed them such: Expansion of an initial operation (i.e. attempted to gather even more evidence by sending another person in, trying to find ways to seize properties that aren’t directly involved in the crime, trying to harass them, having people constantly overwatching them, etc. Anything that continues to occur after a UC is pulled out, or a case is started. You better get your information all at once, lest you end up at risk as a detective.) Attempt to take all properties. If an organization only has one property, that is the lifeline of the organization. It’s imperative that they’re able to keep that. Lest they have to pay 10m+ to try and get it back, and that usually requires going to daddy faction for a loan, putting them in a predicament. If they have 2 properties, and one is being attempted to be seized, sure. If both, let the raid happen. Worth noting this does NOT include individual rented rooms. Let the detectives blow through those, as they’re just returned pretty quickly. Attempt to harass, further gather evidence blatantly. If your initial operation concludes, i.e. criminal charges are brought, and you go into double dip and it's discovered, or they realize when more charges are added against more people, let the raid happen. Don targeted, second targeted, or more than 2 members of HC. If the don gets charges, let the raid happen. Second in command, let the raid happen. If more than 2 members of general HC are targeted, let the raid happen, let them have their chance to kill them. The investigation intends to seize cash reserves. Specifically cash. If they want to touch the faction funds, that's life changing enough that they may want to take the risk. Let the raid happen. The investigation brings charges against more than 12 people. This is, for a lot of factions, VERY game changing. Some of y'all are struggling. If the investigation, like a warrant wildfire, hits 13 people, let the raid happen. Threats from the police. If someone comes to threaten you to comply and give someone up, let the threat giver be set active and pked. Raid optional. Now, with this in mind, it’s incredibly important to set ground rules for the responsibilities of the cops. If you’re the cop(s) in question, being targeted you must: Log on for 30 minutes a day, at any time of the day. If there’s more than one cop being greenlit for death, they must both be in city at the same exact time, for the same duration You must be inside the PD. Anywhere. You can have as much firepower as possible; but if schedules don't align, you’re going to have to hope you can skate by for that 30 minutes. You can log out at the 30 minute mark, UNLESS there is an active raid into the PD. You must check with staff to see if it is clear for you to leave. If there’s an active raid, you must wait. You may not miss more than one day in a row, WITH UA approval. You’ll be screened to make sure you’re not playing other games. You will be char locked to your PD char. You can’t play any other characters during this time. If you’re the assaulters in question, you will: Be given 1 week to successfully do this. If the case is successful against you, you will be given an infinite window to kill the people involved, unless they get witsec, to which you will have to prove they’re the same person ICly. You must identify the orchestrator. Either by confirmation from police officers who are willing to give you that information, or by figuring it out on your own in a way that UA deems reasonable, accurate and IC. You will be given an infinite amount of raid attempts during that week. But they’ll only be on for a 30 minute window, so you’ll have to wait around ready to suit up. After 1 week, your raid permission ends. You will all be pk active while attempting raids. If you are a ranking member, you will not be able to return into your original role. You will start as an associate. If you are the staff member, you will: Verify all characters Set all characters pk active to the NYPD Oversee all times that they’re online. If they want to be online at 3 am, someone has to be online at 3 am to oversee. Verify ability to leave for the officers (i.e. no raid going on) Verify all information is true, accurate, and IC that leads to PK activity on officer(s). Workarounds to consider: Chances are, if this goes into effect, the PD will try to hide these things. Via working with the DAs office. This should be extended to the DAs office - IF - the individuals who are looking for the orchestrator threaten the ADA/DA/whatever who’s running the case in court to give up the information, and they refuse to after 3 violent and clear threats. (One, if they refuse to log on ever again) (Also worth noting - they don't log on, so an in-game pager will suffice if the faction uses resources in the PD to get their ssns), then allow a pk on that ADA/DA/whatever. Let the prosecutors choose who’s getting witsec’d - the orchestrator or them. See next page for more Altered Cop Rules Make witsec have to take place IC and actually conclude. What do I mean by this? Well, right now the way witsec works is you log on, you’re already in a backroom in the PD, you get your name changed and your faction changed and you immediately log out. I say, make them stay online for 1 hour after a witsec, to allow for individuals to either A. kill them or B. identify them successfully. Furthermore, make them actually leave the PD, and get to a “Safehouse”, like the governors mansion. Then, if they’re bringing driven, their convoy can be intercepted, cops shot, individual identified or kidnapped. Then, they need to stay online for 1 hour after they arrive at the “Safehouse”. What would successful identification look like, in this situation? It would be that an individual(s) gain entry or intercept the convoy, and lay eyes on the guy. If this is achieved, the witsec’d individual cannot be witsec’d again at all. They have to remain that identity and risk death every day.

Add dip tins that can be bought from certain vendors so we can pack a lip. The dip can be spit and would create a unique opportunity to disrespect your adversaries. I think cigarettes and cigars are great but diversifying the means of tobacco ingestion couldn’t do any harm. Pack a lip or be a pussy.

So, how come when I raid Altoviti, kill the targets, then I take a little cheeky M16 out of their lockers, I get PKd? To my understanding, raiding was all good. Right? No ticket was ever made in game, the issue was taken straight to either DMs with UA, or a UA ticket. Nowhere in the racket event rules did it state that taking items from properties was PK worthy. How does it make sense to enforce a rule that was never clearly stated? I was PKd on the basis of made up, on the spot rules. What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My motivation for applying comes from watching some of my good friends or even other candidates become a staff member and actually contribute to the community, as well as the amount of time I spend on diverge almost everyday. I feel that I have a ton of free time on my hands and I truly do want to contribute to the roleplay experience on a further level and prove those wrong who think I am incapable. Frequently, I am checking /staffinfo to see who's online and whatnot but there are usually many tickets open with staff who are either AFK or in some cases there are just too many tickets to handle at a time... I feel that with my flexible availability I would contribute a lot to clearing up tickets especially during peak activity since that's when I am usually available. I know I have a very long history of PO's... but after my last permanent ban I realized that I truly do enjoy being a part of this community and that is not the path I want to go down. It has been 9 months since my last ban and I think it is about time I make this application, as I've been considering it for a while now. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: Considering the years I've spent on Diverge, I would absolutely say I have plenty of experience in the mafia roleplay field especially since I am high command IC. Also, I do have some prior staffing experience which I feel would help me catch on easier to any trainings/lessons hosted upon recruitment. How do you handle this?: I would instantly save a clip from the situation to reach out to another staff member who can handle the ticket and provide them with the proof necessary to punish the offender accordingly, and compensate the victim in the situation. What do you do?: Again, I would save clips from any abuse and file all of them into a staff report on the forums, since abuse is not tolerated. Does it constitute possible bias?: Yes, if you are taking a ticket where your friend or faction member has a ticket made against him, it will constitute bias in other people's eyes and that is why it is frowned upon. If any of my friends or faction members had a ticket on them I would avoid taking the ticket, and if I am already in the ticket I might ask another staff member to take over depending on the severity. ---------------------------------------------------------

Oil Containers, LSD Barrels, and Meth Barrels all have the same image. This leads to confusion when trying to sort out between all 3. Example 1: You're selling oil to Rockefeller, but accidentally put in LSD or Meth Example 2: You're doing a crew deal for LSD: Meth, but something either gets mixed up or an accidental oil container gets slipped in there Although these things can be solved through close examination of every item, it would be best if all 3 aren't the same image. Perhaps a change in color for each of the barrels could be a good addition, or different images altogether for LSD and Meth.

Alot of my warnings/ bans are very minor and old and are mainly just rdm from my crashout days. Still from my time of taking a break from this server people still ask for me to come back and request for me to attempt to appeal my ban even tho i brought it upon myself and asked for the perma ban when the ban itself was originally only 2 days Why should you be unbanned? I mainly just needed a break from the server which acting a fool and begging for a perma ban was not the right way of doing it. It made me realize alot of things about myself of how i should act when im on the server and amongst the community. I’ve been around even when the server had people from mobsters paradise and i feel like i can be a better person to people throughout the community to bring better help to new players throughout the server from my experience i can understand not wanting me back in the community because i had a very much hate love relationship with people of the community i wish to attempt to change that and show people even when having a rough upbringing can have a good impact on the community even from being on this server a long time. I had a lot of issues with myself that i have worked on and calmed down as a person and i would love to be able to come back and have a fun time with the community and fix whatever problems and issues with people inside the server as a whole. I Had alot of ongoing problems during my time of being on the server with me losing alot of close friends that i've know for years and it honestly hurt me and caused me to act very stupid during that time. it is no excuse for my actions or behavior but i would hope to show even after all this time of me being on here and all the mistakes i've made that i could make a big change and do better overall as a person on this server. i would expect if somehow my ban appeal would to be approved that i would be held a high example to follow the rules and community guidelines and if i was to make a mistake once. to be immediately perma ban indefinitely which would never come to happen if i was welcome back into this community. I think after seeing other staff members operate that I could give it my best shot, do my best and give something new a try. I've also realized that becoming staff looks and sounds quite fun, So why not? Why should you be considered over other candidates?: *I feel as if I have a lot of experience in the more popular rules like minge rules, mugging rules etc. Another reason is because I am able to put in a lot of time and effort into becoming a staff member and also give good advice on the rules and what to do next time. Does it constitute possible bias?: I would take the ticket, there should be no bias, It does not matter if they are my friend or not, If a rule has been broken then a punishment needs to be given.

This would allow us to check our activity, know the exact # of people on our whitelist, and unwhitelist people without staff. Allowing the FL to go through and unwhitelist people who haven’t played in many months would also cut down on old players coming back to abuse rackets. Most factions (unless you have someone frequently clean your WL) have 500+ people on their whitelist. I personally know that I have people from 2024 still on my whitelist.

Normally shipments are purchased and spawn at random locations across the map. We should have the ability to have shipments delivered to preset locations for a price. And/or have the ability to use the in-game phones to order shipments from npcs. Besides P2P trades, the phones aren't used much from what I've seen.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: Mainly, I’m looking to be a more active member of the community and get to know more people outside of my current circles through positive interactions. I came back a few months ago after a multiple year break and realised how much I still genuinely enjoy Diverge. I’d like to be able to give back to the community that’s given me so much enjoyment over the years, and I thought there wasn’t really a better way than becoming a staff member. I’ve always enjoyed trying new things, and after having a lot of different kinds of roleplay on the server, I think applying for staff would be a great way to gain insights into how the server runs on a more technical, rules oriented level. Also, because I’m in Ireland, I often play during low pop hours, when there are fewer staff on, and I’d like to make sure that players during those hours are also having a good experience. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I am a very level-headed person, especially during stressful scenarios. People can get really riled up during staff sits, which is understandable, they’re long, interrupt your time on the server, and often don’t end up exactly the way you hope. Being able to remain calm in those scenarios is a great skill to have. I’d also consider myself pretty good at understanding biases that I may hold. Obviously, in an ideal world, I’d take tickets exclusively from people I don’t know, but there will be times when I’m the only staff member available to take a ticket from someone I know. In those situations, I’m good at grounding myself and looking at it from an objective viewpoint. I have a good grasp of the rules after playing for so long, and I would (obviously, with help) like to learn more about how specific rules of the server work. I try to make conversation with people a lot and love meeting new people on Diverge. There are some places that I wouldn’t be too well known simply because I don’t get the chance to be around them often. I think my reputation would generally be a positive one. I always try to be fair in any interactions I have with people. I keep in mind the rules on the server and don’t have notes for random negative interactions with people. I’d like to think that most other people whom I regularly interact with look on me favourably! I’m a sucker for early Diverge, Made meetings in Le Grande, using my townhouse for PKs well before the forensics system and roleplaying them out to try and give the police something to do, the Cartel War, where there were so many hackers it felt like every other clip was someone accusing someone else of cheating. Obviously, I can’t forget the early political roleplay, with the honestly really interesting Weber for Mayor Campaign. Recently, however, I would have to say seeing the new PK systems and the new breadth of investigation RP has been fascinating. I will say I miss the old PK messages, for me they really helped flesh out the city. But seeing police actually be able to prosecute people for sloppy hits as opposed to the old system where it was nigh impossible unless you did it in broad daylight. It does not feel fair that a char of 10 weeks and middle faction management be thrown away for nothing. It doesn't make sense from multiple points. 1. I am overall onside with separating a vanity description from your actual physical description, and ensuring that all players can be described ic-ly for things like legal rp, mug retaliation, etc. However, I feel like the way the descriptions look is not great, and there's maybe a conversation to be had around how realistic some of the info in them is. I don't believe the average person can perfectly guess the height and weight of an individual just from a glance, or even by "taking a closer look" So the two parts of my suggestion are: 1) Simplify the way the descriptions are laid out because I feel like the generic sentence that currently exists is not very good (for reference it is: A gender stands before you at around height and weighing around weight. The have Color hair and Color colored eyes.) I have attached an idea of how to simplify it a bit - I'm sure there's probably a better/more aesthetically appealing middle ground though! 2) Edit physical descriptions to be more vague, rather than just using the word "around" in there. My suggestion for that would be to have set ranges of heights and weights, and possibly even for eye and hair colors - these could be: Short (5'0-5'6)/Average(5'7-6'0)/Tall (6'1-6'6) or similar for heights. For weight it could be Light Build, Medium Build, Large Build - Idk how to distribute that as I don't really use lbs. For hair color it could say Dark or Light - but hair color is generally easy to discern so this one isn't as important. - This actually makes sense roleplay wise as it then relies on players using their actual brain to estimate how tall someone is when describing them to another person, and is something some people will be more experienced and accurate in, just like in real life. Another idea would be to add a limited set of options to use for your characters physical description if you so choose. These could be things like Tattooed, Scarred, Tanned, Pale - things like that. Just to slightly set people apart that bit more. Here's an example, but again I am sure others might think of an even better way to display it.

I've been asked to take my comment on the outstanding post and publish my own thread regarding this topic, enjoy the read Think about it, Take the average player who joins MafiaRP. They go through life trying to dodge police interactions because they know that could lead to a slippery slope resulting in a Felony which limits them severely, and oh God, everyone's avoiding that looming PK sentence. The average player is evading the police awhile navigating years of interrelated MafiaRP politics where he is walking on eggshells trying to climb the ladder of Diverge. Doing so involves participating in activities that could very well get him killed such as events like this past weekend. So he stays in line, doing whatever he is told to do and not stepping out of line. If he wants the capability to even challenge someone? He needs to grind at least 2 hours to acquire enough money to buy his first gun, losing it on each death that may or may not be compensated for RDM. Grinding and grinding for the other luxuries in life. **THAT** is how a criminal prevents himself from being PK'ed -> Keeping his head down, and grinding. A cop? Gets recruited as a cadet, has to go through training that is immediately overridden by the "status quo" of the bad habits of current street cops who often tip toe the line and sometimes might "push the envelope" of police conduct. Those are the ranks he's being raised in, fearing no evil, no threat of the end of his life. Police are living life on easy mode, like a doe that has yet to leave their mother. The police don't need to grind, they have no incentive to grind. They have one purpose -> spin the perpetual door of LegalRP. "Hook them and book them." I suggest the following: Make a couple PK rules prohibiting the occasional event of a police officer steps out of line, like a criminal does, which results in a PK.

Our faction is based on a real-world group (The Galician Mafia), meaning we will have ties to real-world history. In the 1970s, the Galician Mob began using fishermen to smuggle cigarettes through European borders and into Spain. With boats leaving from the US allowing for a state-based monopoly, the individuals stationed in New York will continue to do what their ancestors did before them, getting cocaine from New York and pushing it back out into the waters under the disguise of fishing. Through the 1980s, the pressure continued to rise on American drug markets and cartels. The Galician Mob continued to utilize these established routes, shifting their focus to more lucrative items such as money laundering and the infiltration of politics, individuals in power, and legal networks. Apparel The faction has the intention to wear a relaxed clothing scheme. We will not force our members to wear certain apparel, opening the door to individual diversity in terms of custom apparel, etc. However, at times we may wear suits during certain roleplay situations. We have no issue with members wearing relaxed clothing as long as it doesn't stray too far from our factions ethnicity. Restaurant We’d like to turn the West Side Drug Store into our restaurant of choice. We have the intention of having the interior altered and changed for our purposes, as our faction has background ties to “fishing,” and we’d like to explore that side of the server in terms of fishing on the docks. Our intentions are angled toward the idea of fishing as a whole, as it ties into our background. Faction Goals Fishing wasn’t good enough for us—working too hard and getting not enough in terms of pay. We have the intention of distributing our racket through the city. Our goals consist of importing and exporting useful items through New York, making money, and possibly being in a position of power within the city. On a side note, we’d like to push out weekly fishing competitions highlighting the fishing side of New York. We aim to provide for our fellow fishermen and push forward the fishing community, whether that be giving out prizes and rewards to those who compete, or having a custom DUP for the area when we go through with it. We would like to smuggle weaponry and illicit substances obtained in New York back to Spain/Mexico for profit. Hiring Process Instead of hiring white shirts off the side of the road, dressing them, and forcing them to work in Don Pez, we plan to make sure they are a suitable fit for the faction—maybe taking them out to the docks for some fishing. Having them prove themselves to our ranking infrastructure, or even putting them to work after a small but necessary screening process. After all, Don Pez is well known for its diversity in food, taste, and employees. If so, why?: Yes, I have been banned 3 times in the past, the most recent was a Prop Abuse and NITRP ban for 3 days on 12/6/26 by Alamara555. At that time, I was thinking on quitting the server and not coming back, but during the ban I rekindled some relationships with people who play and eventually came back to playing full time. I regret doing it because it is a pointless stain on my record. The ban before that was on 7/22/25 for 12 hours, NITRP, Minge, and Cop Bait by Dr.Hax. I received the ban on a former oil character of mine named Johnny Ballbouncer, I was hanging out with a group of friends and was in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was constantly baiting cops and just causing tons of issues. I learned to be more considerate to the other players who don't find this type of thing funny and learned to be more serious overall. My ban I received longest ago was on 3/31/25 for Mass VDM by Actual Sauerkraut for a day. This ban was definitely one of the worst ones on my record. This ban took place shortly after I got pked from my first faction after coming back from not playing for two years, was still pretty fresh and just acting dumb in general. I believe I have 3 notes, but I do not remember what for. Hi Calink, While I can't speak for the notes and rule breaks and understand your logic there I can speak to these. This person has been accepted into the 14k and was a valued member before they were unfortunately pked. Yes they did get into some trouble with cops quite a bit, but they did do the RP we required and never brought the trouble to the organization. Their name was a valid RP name and their new character which was at the time "Maria Lee" was going to be a good citizen and rejoin the 14k after the cooldown. I had personally spoken to them about them being more law abiding and not getting arrested on their new char going forward. They agreed and were even taking the bar exam. Overall I understand your side and can see your perspective. I just wanted to answer to these two points as I did slightly disagree with them. Thanks!
