Hi Calink, While I can't speak for the notes and rule breaks and understand your logic there I can speak to these. This person has been accepted into the 14k and was a valued member before they were unfortunately pked. Yes they did get into some trouble with cops quite a bit, but they did do the RP we required and never brought the trouble to the organization. Their name was a valid RP name and their new character which was at the time "Maria Lee" was going to be a good citizen and rejoin the 14k after the cooldown. I had personally spoken to them about them being more law abiding and not getting arrested on their new char going forward. They agreed and were even taking the bar exam. Overall I understand your side and can see your perspective. I just wanted to answer to these two points as I did slightly disagree with them. Thanks!

Ive been around long enough to know that. Im kind of hoping for a reduced ban. Again presuming this wont be the case. Ive been playing Diverge and mafia RP for over 5-6 years ive seen all come and go. Ive seen many eras of mafia rp. as well as the people. I will hold my hands up and say since I got pkd on my og Bonnano char and even before that ive been very mouthy and have said my piece multiple time. The state of the beef on the server and the constant shitty ooc squabbles all from years ago has got very out of hand from both sides. I had been playing recently to be the guy that would go out and defend my faction in these situations. Rather than be HC and try resolve it with words. The situation today happened because someone took a IC photo of another Lucchese who was taking photos of them. This resulted in everyone coming over and starting a situation outside of the meat market ending in some words being exchanged. I exchanged some words back because vinny had previously said some words against me as well as a bunch of lucchese saying some very horrible words towards me that can effect **IRL** Consciences for any info on those messages u can dm me. This resulted in a sitdown asking for the death of my character and presumably ended there. Until my Ban. I will put my hands up and say that was a very dumb decision to talk back to those issues. I believe my many roles on the server such as, First Deputy Commissioner, Underboss, First Deputy Mayor, Councilman, FBI, Staff was to push for more roleplay especially my most recent run in Crim rp where I believe. I was a advocate for more roleplay on the server by (Although not deemed very nice by most) reporting members for breaking RP as well as creating and coordinating player ran roleplay events. Anyhow Ill accepted all the -1s from everyone but for a guy that has played the server for 5-6 years and has accumulated a total of 1 day and 1 hour ban on his record I would love for the chance to come back in the future and help out Btown. PD was fine 6-12 months ago, now they are just taking down factions like it's the towers on 9/11. Kirov, Rudaj, Cassano, part of Decav. All of this in the past 6 months. There is no sign of stopping, and nothing is preventing them from doing it more. I am all for police RP. I think it's important, but the fact that factions can be targeted because there is no cooldown on UCs getting into factions, and if there is, it's only a month, is concerning. There are factions that have had multiple attempts at UCs in the small life they have had on the server, along with multiple UCs under a short amount of time for others. Months of hard work to build your faction up can get completely destroyed for little glory on a PD character. Say what you want about Monaclu and his detectives, they didn't end the lives of factions. Incompetence of leaders plays a large part, but why does one mess up cost their entire faction, when most of the time they spend lots of IRL money on things for said faction? I like the idea that some of these situations should hurt the factions, but not to the point where the whole HC/Middle command gets wiped out in one case. There are already so many things that factions have to deal with on a daily basis that having to deal with a UC almost every month is silly. No one is perfect, and all systems have cracks; all it takes is one to mess your entire faction up. You want more unique factions on the server, but when you get them, they get targeted in the first 3-6 months. It's interesting that as soon as UA leaves PD alone to regular players, all of a sudden, they are knocking out whole factions, and UCs become more aggressive and deadly. There needs to be a serious look at PD, and I have heard that a lot of the faction leaders are not fond of how PD is going right now. If nothing changes, PD will kill more factions, even if it's the legit way. At the end of the day, this is "Mafia Roleplay," not "Police RP." People join to be in the mafia and progress through the ranks of the mafia, not the police force. Those who want to do that should not be held back in RP, but it also should not be mainly benefiting them either. Typically, 15-20+ PD on during peak hours is already hard enough on RP, where you pretty much can't do anything to PD. Restrictions need to be in place im sure all faction leaders will agree. Lately, PD has been more than a thorn in the side and more of a faction that has god abilities with real players and real intentions at the top.

The first ever "Diverge Networks | HarryPotterRP" This is an extremely niche server idea, we could have factions such as: The Wizards of Silence The Bonanno Crime Family Quiddatch Triad Then we could have ranks such as: Don Wizard The Underdon Wizard Donsigliere Wizard Street Wizard. Learning magic, flying brooms, fucking witches, playing big ass chess. And here's the kicker, IT WOULD BE ON THE MIAMI MAP!!!!!!!! Let's get this second server goin'!

so as long as PD is the one ruining RP by breaking the rules to gain an advantage over factions because yall can't do actual police work is ok in your opinion. in addition, getting blacklisted from every faction for doing worse shit than I'm even being accused of. you sit here saying I have bad RP while all you do is drive around all-day, name-dropping players that you ID Fished and then powergame/metagame players that killed you so they can get arrested. your opinion on me has not ground and TBH I don't know how your not banned with me. I don't mean this to start beef, but I just want you to look the fact that you are not a very respectable, valuable and or good player on diverge. even if I'm the type of player that ive been accused of, I'm still 100% a better player amongst the community.

Is it an autistic suggestion? Yes. Is most of diverge autistic? Definitely. There's no way this is a hard addition and there's no way it impacts server resources.

The issues you are complaining about is a result of the competition that is bred through these racket events. The governing idea is that whoever gets the most points wins, but how do you get these points? You take risks... If you want to have the best racket and beat the others, then you need to take the greatest risks and plan accordingly; this includes suffering from legal consequences. Accounting for the risks in your planning adds to the depth of the event, which was touched upon by others. Not to mention, there was not really more than 10 PD on for most of the event in small groups of twos or threes. As someone on their police character throughout the event, we largely ignored minor crimes because there were people being capped in the streets with restricted weapons. We had to pick what we engaged with and what we fell back from, which meant more than half of the crimes that we witnessed went unpunished. We were also completely surrounded in most instances, which meant that it was really easy for your friends to dispatch the officer trying to make an arrest. Again, another risk that adds to the depth of the event. Basically, what I'm saying is that having the police around--with the same rules as the last event--makes it much more than a team deathmatch. And anyway, why should someone running around with coke and guns on their backs while shooting people be let off easy because its an event?

Calink I only know the rules relating to mugging pk's (and the other obvious rules) I however did not know anything about Mugging Char's, yet I would never make a Mugging Char because well one thats just retarded because it wouldn't last and it would probably be considered pk hunting, and two im not all that well versed in the mugging rules, hell the first time I tried mugging someone on a completely different char (that was on a faction I will not name) was literally at the fishing docks, and as for the name on this char that did actually mug someone, "Jack" was put in the name after the characters creation, so the original name was "Joceline Mehoff" it was only after people started calling me "Jack" that I had a mod add it into my name. While yes I did have 9 notes (9 that's fucking crazy) I have been learning the rules, and I have been trying to improve, as this server does hold a special place in my heart, infact it is the server that taught me I don't have to a retarded minge in order to have fun on Garry's Mod, and I do actually like being in city. And for the "Jimmy" part, well I had no better ideas for names other than to name em Jimmy and then put some fucking verb as the last name.

+1 I saw him in Kinahan VC quite a lot. He was on during the racket event and was helping our faction. His character clearly was meant to main our faction. Though his priors definitely don't help his case because genuinely what is that.
