What server rule or PK rule was violated?: So essentially from my perspective, I was firing a warning shot at a guy from hardware rooftop - and by warning shot a leg breaker at Derek Caputo. After the shot everyone started running towards hardware including two cops (larry and the PKing probie). It seems I missed acccording to a lad with me iron sights suck (but skill issue is the real cause ;-;) The probie then gunned me down immediately with no dialogue whilst I was just about to have a dialogue with senior officer larry and derek who was coming up to rooftop to be the negotiator [for some reason HAHA] (the probie asked larry "can i shoot him" and then just shot me without any confirmation by larry. When he said "can i shoothim" Immediately i was hovering over the gun incase he did whilst i was hugging the wall to hide the g3 gun on my back). I was trying to get out of it by complying and talk my way out of it (as in my head I thought they're detaining me and the guys on the rooftop but larry was talking about jumping off the roof top so was like oo chance to escape and they werent aware of the case). But the probie immediately gunned me down and then PKd me after I logged off later on. I gave him the benefit of the doubt cos he was new and its new years so didnt report him for RDM, but when offline the Pking admin (Moon) messaged and we briefly talked about the case - she made me aware the shot hit the probie instead accidentally. Which I wasnt too aware cos i wasnt aiming at him and waited to isolate the guy, hence surprised I was Pkd (and definite cross fire) the gun mustve had wacky recoil for it to hit him. Nor was I an active threat whatsoever and being fully compliant, I was NOT targetting the cop etc. But even if it was the case there were a couple other people with me on rooftop so how did he know it was me ;-; point being it was quite the cross fire and insta gunned me down and coincidentally turned out I was the one who got him in the crossfire out of 2/3 people. Twas crossfire Moon said that on the logs it looks valid which i understand but tryna an appeal in case i can get my char back given the wacky circumstance. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: I managed to get a clip but sadly only managed to salvage just after the shot being fired cos i clipped it far too late it seems like..

I was playing and noticed the time on my menu was different than the NORMAL timezone: I've compiled a list of reasons why we should use EST (normal time) 1. It's the middle of the earth. As you can see from this image of the earth, It's obvious that EST is the center of the earth (please see the even distribution of all continents AROUND the east coast) 2. It's where our founders LANDED and COLONIZED (stinky natives need not apply) The FOUNDERS were such fans of the east coast they literally decided to make a COUNTRY there (based), the western timezones were an AFTERTHOUGHT to expand SLAVERY (bad we hate that ew) 3. Florida is on EST, which is where all the resorts are and disney land. This means people LOVE the east coast. 4. If Charlie Kirk were alive today, he'd want us to lowkirkenuinely use EST as the main source of our service (peace be upon him) I don't know what timezone this gay clock is but I KNOW that est is the way to go. Hello, Once upon a time we removed the ability for properties to have food registers, in place of that we set up Shipment NPCs where people could order in food items (in bulk obviously), and then transport them to the property, and store them for selling to people. At the time, this was somewhat unpopular due to a few issues. Such as: - Storage entities were frequently being wiped, which would mean people would spend many hours organizing stock and arranging deliveries, just for it to be wasted. This is no longer an issue as storages permanently persist. - Having to have millions of storage lockers to store them in, making it difficult to effectively organize. - Lazyness. But this is a task that should be delegated to lower ranking members. - The old shipment system had dogshit configuration, so you couldn't order multiple at once. - Whatever else, it was years ago I don't remember. So we eventually reintroduced property vendors, but with a limit of 15 items. Today, I was reminded that we once had this system. Thinking about it, I realize that its reintroduction would come with many benefits, such as. - Not having to rely on me or Canadian to get on and change vendors when you want something changed. Which is a lengthy process, getting approval from FL, making the UA ticket then waiting for us to change it. - Being able to sell a wide range of food and drink items, instead of being limited to 15 pre-selected options. - Boost of available roleplay - new hires can be assigned as delivery boys, restaurants will have to organize their stock and have dedicated people managing it, ensuring supplies stay available, and much much more. We would make the following changes with this: - We would create a new type of storage item, that has a much larger inventory space, but in return it would only be able to store food items. Thus resolving the issue of having to have 100 storage items. - We would update the Shipment NPC UI to have organized categories so it isn't all cluttered together (like it is now). There would be tabs, nice and organized. - Shipment timing for food would also NOT be the same as drugs/guns. They would spawn immediately for collection. So I wanted to see what you all think - would this be something you'd like to see? I cannot see any real downsides to this, other than lazyness / not wanting to RP. But maybe there are some - so by all means let me know if there are. Or perhaps there are other things that would need to be done alongside what I have proposed. Either way, please let me know your thoughts.

In taking away the ladder behind little italy, the only way to *get onto the rooftops* is now this: \ This provides access to the railway, which you can use to get onto a number of public rooftops, that the police utilize for surveillance. Right now, cops are unable to do that. Because this is a fire escape. If they go on the rooftops, they've implicitly broken the law. NOW, the EASIEST way to fix this is to just have the DOP designate this as public usage. Very simple, a small memo, legally protects officers, reboots a HUGE portion of cop RP (sitting on rooftops, spying.) it didn't go well. My suggestion is simple Either: 1. Add a new ladder, public use 2. Have the DOP make the ruling. BRING BACK DETECTIVE ROOFTOP RP!

Right now with the recent changelogs, you cannot process a whole inventory/have multiple processed shipments anymore. You must collect your shipment to be able to collect the shipment out of the processor. What a lot of people did before was process a whole inventory and have all the processed shipments sit there until they were done and then they would sell them. However this new update has totally killed processing and now takes even longer to do a full inventory. I'd like to see it reverted back to how it was or just make it so all the shipments combine into one like @DopeAsRoe suggested in staff chat, or even just put a cap on how many shipments there can be at one time.

Hello, I would like to think I speak for all if not majority of the women that play this server that it would be wonderful if when we sat down we did not man spread. I would like to readdress my ban for RDM and the POs. I would like to say I'm sorry for the trouble I caused in the Discord, because I pushed back against the staff team, which worsened my situation. I understand that was the staff team's decision, and I should've respected it. I understand the damage my name may have inflicted upon other people, inside or outside of RP, whether someone is blaming something on my name or using my name as a scapegoat. To that, I am sorry. I am sorry to the communities' trust that I have betrayed, and I'm sorry to the administrative teams' trust that I have betrayed with my actions. It has now been more than a full year where I have been banned from Diverge and I still think about this server. Diverge has never really left my system and this is due to the amount of time I had invested into it as well as me nearly spending 3 years playing. I have around 4 months playtime and most of my hours on GMOD came from me playing this server. As I stated before, my ban stemmed from the completely unacceptable behavior that a server like this wont tolerate. On my first permanent ban appeal, I was unbanned on the claims of no longer exhibiting the behavior but 6 months later I was re perma banned. I was mad like anyone else would be but once my appeal got denied by James, I understood. I am not commemorating what I was doing but I will say that I had fun. Regardless I have seen the consequence trough me being perma banned and I can say I regret the metagame which lead to my permanent ban as well as the behavior I showed the server. No matter how little the rule break was it still gave me an unfair advantage and my IC/OOC actions had consequences like when I stalked Bonnano chars, trough what I knew OOCly, and then ratted them to Kosher about them planning a robbery which began the whole Olympus and Commission giga war, that never happened. I have never told anyone about how I got ahold of this information and it was 50/50 metagamed but I only snitched once they said something in game. My reason for snitching was because I knew it would cause some conflict and it in fact did. Not because I wanted Kosher to fight back but only because I wanted a conflict to fight in. This is not my first perma ban appeal and despite the 1 year that has passed I am still persistent on trying to return to Diverge since gmod is easily on my top 5 of games. Majority servers are the same Dark RP slop aside from a few serious RP servers. Gmod Dark RP servers are so saturated, its depressing trying to find another server that has different roleplay and genuinely can captivate my attention. As I have said before, there is not another server like Diverge and it's gun, law, and roleplay system. I do not intend on being as active as I was pre-perma but I want to at least get on from time to time to play so I can experience something different than the hundreds of Dark RP and Clone Wars RP servers there are. At the end of my last appeal Canadian said "Your ban record is quite extensive and I don't feel comfortable with giving you another chance sans conditions". Those conditions were I pay for an unban or I wait longer to remake another appeal. I not only waited the 6 month period but 2 more for a total of 8 months. I am deeply apologetic to harm I caused. Hello, to all cop mains who might find this retarded, I implore you to look further into this idea. The following aspects of Cop RP would be improved; 1. You would have much less incentive by (legally) armed individuals to pull out weapons and try to shoot you 2. You would have MANY more car chases and much more leverage on the charges you press against other people, allowing you to agree to plea deals more frequently 3. The situation can become a felony if the suspect injures or kills somebody on his path of escape WITHOUT STOPPING, so if you get into a more violent chase then it would be prosecuted more seriously 4. THIS DOES NOT NEGATE EXCESSIVE SPEEDING OR OTHER FELONIOUS TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS! THIS WOULD JUST MAKE CHASES WITH IMPORTANT PEOPLE MUCH MORE LIKELY AND MUCH MORE THAN A GUNFIGHT OR CRASHING INTO THE OCEAN AND HIDING UNDERWATER Sidenote: A criminal modifier should be added that does convert this back to felony resisting; if you have drugs or other contraband on you during the chase, it upgrades; if you also were under the influence of any substance, it upgrades; if you rammed into a police car for the chase to begin, it upgrades; THE CHARGE CAN ONLY AGGRAVATE ONCE!! For Criminal characters, this would significantly improve QoL, since if you're doing some basic bullshit traffic violation like going past a red light you're not instantly going to deal with a cop pestering or even ticketing you over some nonsense. As a cop, I personally believe it would also spice the server up pretty awesomely.

This machine is really cool, add either more vending machines or something similar, it really adds to the depth and "lore" of the map. Plus if you get rid of the fallover hunger glitch it would make eating way more common and pushing RP so people have to go and actually get food or stock up on food.

Since a new year is about to begin (2026) it has been two years since the server changed from 1988 to 1989. Now I don't know exactly when this server was released on gmod but I thought it would be very interesting to celebrate I would like to propose, a new mafia era. Here's many ideas i come up with: NEW MAP: First of all, since are the 90's, to be Historically accurate the map still kinda the same but it gets bigger, new buildings, new constructions etc. so to give a little more space in the map for exploring and of course for roleplaying; https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2925489145 NEW MODELS: New face models, so I might suggest something like Assassin's Creed, Half-Life 2, and Dead Rising. At least something new, instead of using the same models when you have to create a character. NEW OUTFITS/SHIRTS/PANTS ETC. I think the developers will have to look for this one, the only thing I can suggest is to create a command to raise the sleeves of a shirt or an outfit. NEW FACTIONS: Of course i couldn't missed the factions. These are all the factions I searched. Families: Patriatca Family; Black Mafia Family; Camorra; Russian Mafia; Capaci; Via D'amelio; Falcone. Streets Gang: Crips&Bloods; Asian Boyz; Rascal Gang; The Ghost Shadows; Public Enemy No.1; United Blood Nation. Triads: Wo Shing Wo; San Yee On; Wo Hop To. That's all I had to suggest.
