Or a chat /me message that shows they sent or received a message through their pager. Feel like it's unfair that you can silently send messages as a CI or a Spy and no one knows. However, joining requires a confirmation pop-up on your screen, where you are given the option to accept or decline. This means you chose to join the faction voluntarily.
