Your Character or Steam Name: Tinker Von Spunky - Palma Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:55674022 Your Discord ID#: palmavirtuti Reason for ban: RDM - LTAP Length of ban: 24 Hours Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): I didn't RDM anyone and i most definitely didn't LTAP lol. The detective i killed complained as he was dying that the crime he was arresting my friend for was not a felony (even tho it literally is lol) and i left the server like 30 minutes after i killed him (not sure of actual time), No staff members spoke to me or dm'd me. I'm just now finding out about my ban 5 hours after it happened. Why should you be unbanned? I didn't rdm anyone and even if i had, I've been playing on the server for more than 2 years now and literally have 0 staff notes on my account. Hello! I am the moderator that banned you, I banned you for the instance of RDM | LTAP. I understand why you are upset and feel like its a false ban and how you might've been confused of your charges. Ezra Rosenthal originally made the ticket for RDM as you killed him for a misdemeanor, this certain misdemeanor was "Illegal Sale of Goods + Service". The ban for LTAP was more of a mistake on my end as Ezra Rosenthal might have made the ticket after the event took place or I was too late on taking the ticket. I admit my faults, I agree that banning you was a bit too harsh of a punishment. It was my first day as staff and I will (to the best of my ability) not have an incident like this in the future. Thank you!2 points

I think something that might be a bit interesting to implement as a member of the server that has been here for five years, give or take, is the concept of "creating a racket". What does this mean? Well, as we know, there are already preconceived rackets that exist within the game. There is a set number of drugs, as well as firearms. Firearms being the more notably interesting rackets in the game. We come across this issue in Diverge where there are factions that have hundreds of millions of dollars, but subsequently nothing to really spend that on. Money gets hoarded, and then it accumulates, and the server's solution to this issue seems to just be adding higher and higher amounts of inflation, taxes, or otherwise just removing firearms licenses and making you pay for it again. My suggested system that would be fairly interesting from a gameplay standpoint, and from a factional development standpoint, is this idea of "creating a racket". You can spend a certain amount of money as a faction to staff, and appeal on the forum, to have an additional item/s added into your NPC racket. This allows for budding factions to have a tangible goal as to spend money towards, and they can potentially work for it in character either through quests, missions, etc. However, if succeeded, or if payment is accepted/approved, maybe with some proof of roleplay, right? They can add a firearms, or unique weapon, or something along that line into their NPC racket. And in the event the faction in question is either destroyed, taken down, etc, this racket is then dissolved, or otherwise liquidated. Or if the faction is say destroyed in a war, maybe the victor could take an item or two from said racket and have it added to their own, whilst the other items are destroyed/returned to the void. Maybe this could create some new auction lines or something as to make the server more dynamic. For the most part, the server is largely stagnant in terms of its growths and developments, and I think adding this as a potential system would be great for roleplay as well as factional development. This coming from the perspective of a person who's taken a faction with nothing but Opium and developing it into one that has heavy arms and cocaine. Just a thought.2 points

Your Character or Steam Name: Rickard Stark Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): 76561198298669691 Your Discord ID#: dandead10 Reason for ban: I was banned for an apparent character abuse, adding to context of the situation, the ban exclaims that I am banned for 24 hours for creating a character to avoid the bans of casinos. Length of ban: 24 Hours Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Dispute I believe I should be unbanned, as well as have my character unpked, reason being, this is a very unique situation, as I may very well be the only person that has this unique circumstance. Back in the time I was still prominently active, when I would visit casinos, I would immediately have people that recognize me instantly grab my character ID and ban me from casinos, very swiftly blocking me off pretty much from gambling under any circumstance, and the character I have here, Rickard Stark, has existed for months. I was given two million dollars to gamble with from a member of the server named Hades, in which I gambled, returned the money he so invested into me, with profit earned from the casino, and there was no item, nor money transfer whatsoever. That said, the way the money earned was completely legitimate, as is the money that is on the character. If logs are checked, this is completely validated, and this character has been in existence for months. Regardless if this appeal is denied or not, I can at least say in terms of Diverge that I'm one of the few people truly punished for being too good at gambling. I've been a long standing member of this community, a long time member, more or less four and a half to five years. It's legitimately annoying to want to enjoy gambling, and not being able to, even though that's literally why they exist. I just wanna gamble man. Gambler's gotta gamble. Brother it doesn't matter regardless because he had other items on his person that i knew abt ic that would have caught him a felony charge1 point

My friend that was being arrested had a prior in check fraud so it would have been a felony because it would be aggravated. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZTRwJOjvKKOPDrYkDIIFb3nWV0tuuX_klbIYsH9L_Oo/edit?tab=t.01 point

I mean, you say it isn't, right? But gambling is legitimately where most money comes from. The only difference is that instead of it being added into the economy from grinding bricks, or selling guns, right? Is that it comes from a finite source, namely from other factions that have casinos. So it legitimately is one of the best/biggest money makers. Three main ways of making cash is drugs, guns, clothes, and then the fourth informal way is gambling. In the case of gambling, you can save hundreds of hours of grind if you're good at it. But fair enough. If the appeal is denied, I guess I can get it. I mean, gambling holds a great degree of risk, right? The only difference is that I'm much more persistent in the gambling itself. People lose hundreds of thousands, tens of thousands, only difference being volume of funds to pull from and time invested.1 point

I mean, I wouldn't need to have a character slot for gambling, if I didn't have my character ID copied for whatever character I was on/had at the time, and then they just pre-emptively pass around my character ID and have me banned from the casinos to prevent me gambling whatsoever. So, yes, I understand that casinos and the people running them want to make money, but that doesn't mean that I'm not making the money legitimately. If the reason why I'm being banned from a key portion of the gameplay is that I'm just that fucking good, then at least give me the damn decency to gamble in the casino before you do. You know what I mean? I want to be able to make money.1 point

Yeah, you made a character and did literally 0 things but start gambling. Obviously avoiding your being banned on all characters. Character abuse at its finest.1 point

Thank you for applying to the Diverge Networks staff team! It is my pleasure to inform you that your application has been accepted. Submit a ticket on our Discord for training and to get setup.1 point

This punishment was too harsh for what happened; the ban was sufficient, so I will be overturning this. Your appeal has been reviewed and accepted. Your character has been reinstated and can be used again.1 point

I do agree that the situation was chaotic and hard to hear, as well as the possibility the other individual fired first, but seeing as the officer's mic is not included in the clip (the clip used to pk you) there's no way to hear full context. Your appeal has been reviewed and accepted. Your character has been reinstated and can be used again.1 point

Name of Character: Franchesco Morello SteamID: STEAM_0:1:183331994 Your Discord ID#: benjamonious Date of PK: 3/15/2025 Reason for PK: Violent conflict w/ police Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to black-market/illegal NPCs. Police do not "have knowledge" the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). I would argue the same would apply to the hardware store and stolen checks. You can clearly see him camping the NPC. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: (His Prospective)0 points

i mean theres a reason why smaller factions don't have a better racket there was a racket event to put them to a test, there's a reason why they didn't place top 3. 1990 wipe i guess could be feasible bu to what date, gotta change a lotta stuff. factions should keep their racket IMO. also most people play because they have millions of dollars, i think it'd be kinda stupid to wipe everything people would be pissed like imagine spending years to rank up only to be restarted only certain keep their positions if that like it just seems tedious and it really wouldn't change anything, they'd have the same dupes if they kept the same properties all it would be is less rp because everyone's grinding drugs and oil0 points

Dude why doesn't the small faction automatically win the competition and get the best racket what the hell? What do you think a reset accomplishes in that scenario? The larger faction works and re-acquires their wealth quicker and then beats the smaller faction...again... You note supreme team as a smaller faction that 'struggles' yet fail to realize they actually did well during the last comp and... promoted. Critical thinking.-1 points

I was arresting him for Illegal Sale of Goods + Service. Which is a misdemeanor. As he did not have a commerce license. Completely separate charge. And it only becomes aggravated if he is already a felony. If he's charged again for check fraud, that doesn’t make it an automatic felony.-1 points

Real shit, why wouldnt they just let anyone that says hey my friends play and recently Ive wanted to play, look I even made a cake to show I wanna play! If we let anyone who did that back in then we'd just be letting in a bunch of idiots we dont want back in. Read the rules: https://divergenet.works/forum/8-rules/ Then fill out this quiz and post your results: https://divergenet.works/forum/8-rules/ Maybe then someone higher will see that as a sign of you wanting to come back and actually engage in an actual RP manner-1 points

the year change is just a small part, it doesn't matter the year its just because of the idea, the year is gonna be 1980 so it's just a smooth time to reset everything. you have to look into the future type shit, there's not going to be growth or development if everybody is stuck where they're at, resetting progress is an amazing way to bring more interaction, more rp, more everything basically. callaghan? who called that a small faction, its more like a middle faction if you think of people who main others and stuff especially during events. i wasnt there for the last event but this event wasnt skill or number based, it was just camping and who could spend the most time grinding at early hours basically. right now yall have 5 people 2 am so that kinda tells me theres a few eu people so yes im sure that helped during the event because there werent a lot of people at those hours. im talking supreme team, 14k triad, legacy, laventine, etc. i never called progression hard what do you mean-2 points

The events are literally impossible for the smaller factions, that's why people call them retarded. The events aren't skill based they're number based, so smaller factions are always going to have an ass racket because they have no reason for players to dedicate their time to, they have no gun rackets, no good drug racket either. People would keep their positions in factions, the entire base of the restart is to add more interaction-4 points

Reset Progress after new years when it switches to 1980 This adds more interaction to the server, most people don't even get on anymore because they have millions of dollars and 500 bricks. If a wipe happens, it should happen now (after 1989), all characters will be deleted. People who are added to whitelists like cosmetics and cars still keep those, but their money and guns and drugs and shit are GONE. Faction rackets are wiped and given out random, giving newer or smaller factions a better chance. This adds more roleplay to the server and will probably bring more people to the server as well, it's a fun idea and it brings more to the server than just normally resetting back to 1980.-6 points

Hello PK'ing admin here as seen in this Clip you started a violent conflict with police ■ Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with Police can lead to a PK. (PK Guidelines ) While yes, it is Considered Meta for police to arrest based off of using the black-market/illegal NPCs in this instance when you traded the "Forged Checks" it was at a legal NPC-8 points
