I have always been interested in helping out with tickets since i know some go unanswered including my own tickets at times and i believe id be a big help. I'm in a position in my faction now where I'm unable to do all the "activities" I used to, so I'm looking for something new to invest more of my time on the server into. As stated above in my app i have previous experience on other servers in low and high ranking staff positions so id like to see what being staff is like on diverge as I've only ever been staff on CWRP servers in the past. Other reasons include people telling me i should apply, wanting to see what things are like behind the scenes ect. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I believe i should be considered over other candidates because I have prior experience being staff and i am eager to help the server by any means necessary. I am very goal oriented and am willing to work my way up the latter given the opportunity. As stated earlier in this app I was a COS on a SWRP server back in the day which i worked my way up to from the moderator position. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * - I wouldn't say that i'm very well known to be honest. For a large portion of my time on the server, I roleplayed as a character that didn't speak in game and only communicated through chat which held me back from making many connections outside of my faction. Since then I have moved up and made some connections with other factions, however in "this server of ours"™ it's difficult to associate with members outside of your alliances for obvious reasons. I believe that becoming staff will help me meet players within other alliances and help people get to know me. - I would say my reputation on the server is in a good place as I have climbed the ranks of my faction to a high command position which I would consider requires gaining A decent amount of respect from your peers. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: Honestly it may sound mundane but my favorite memory on Diverge was an event where staff had us mining for ores which we then traded for rare weapons, - it was a very good event tbh. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: - Byte, Adam, JJ ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: Firstly I would clip the whole interaction for evidence, I would then report the situation to a staff member as i myself shouldn't be handling my own cases. I would then give the responding staff member all my evidence and let them handle the situation how they see fit. If no other staff members are available to take the ticket i would dm a fellow staff member via discord and tell them to keep an eye out for the player and provide them with the evidence, I would also monitor the RMDer in game on my staff char making sure they aren't RDMing other players on the server. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would immediately begin collecting evidence on the staff member and report the abuse of power with all the info I've obtained to a higher ranking staff member. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would wait to see if another staff member is available to take the ticket, If no one became available i would ask in staff chat for someone else to take the ticket to avoid any possible bias on my part.

The initial assessment by the handling admin is correct, if you've stolen an item worth $10,000+ and refuse to return it under gunpoint or have a hit put on you it is within the realm of possibility to be pk'ed. Though the clip should have been longer... Now addressing the clip where the person consults you after the kill and based on their further reply, yes it's NLR but I also tend to see this as powergame, attempting to leverage the return of their virtual item in exchange for not processing a pk. You either put the PK request in or don't, you don't get to leverage the clip to have them return the stolen item AFTER you've killed them. If you want to take it into roleplay and attempt to recoup the item before a hit is ordered after discussion with the opposing family (per regular diplomacy Roleplay) that's fine, but using an existing and valid PK request to leverage the item's return is powergame. (and OOC over mic pal!!) To iterate; powergame. If this was done properly in roleplay as I described above, then yes it's fine. Leveraging a clip to stop the pk from going through is not permitted, especially in a sit... Also no, The original theft of the shirt and pk was still valid but reversed later due to an attempted powergame to retrieve the virtual item, in this circumstance I will reverse the pk, however the item will be removed from circulation and destroyed.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * It has been over a year since I last played the server. I will say, this server is fun and indeed breathtaking. I feel that my time, knowledge and overall personality will bring a benefit to the staff team. I will bring dedication, speed and favoritism to my fellow staff. I will make it seem fun and enjoying for all when I am doing my duties as a staff member. But overall I would like to say that my wellbeing will be different from when I first joined the server, because I have greater knowledge, higher maturity and overall an unbiased mind. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * Starting off, I don't feel that my application should be considered more acceptable then others, but really just an opportunity for higher ups to see a high potential for an amazing staff member. I had made a minge character named “Henry Jefferson” just to run around and have fun and do things I typically can’t do on my main character like getting in trouble with police and everything else. I was talking with Pizzle and some guy had walked up and I had pulled out my fists and started punching the air and I accidentally punched him once. Apparently he had bled out because he was low health which I didn't know and he had made a ticket against me for RDM but at that point I had already logged off the server because I had guests coming over and the admin that banned me had also gave me LTAP even though I didn’t know I had done anything wrong or know that I was in trouble. If anyone knows me on the server, they know that I don’t ever start altercations with anyone and I don’t go around and just RDM anyone and I definitely wouldn’t leave to avoid punishment. I typically follow all rules and bring good RP to the server and don’t intentionally go around and hit people or kill people with weapons without reason. I feel that this ban and the notes for RDM and LTAP should be expunged. Like I said before, I've been playing for a while now, and I want to do more for the community as a whole and help others whenever other staff aren't available. I've seen that at later times, tickets start to build up, and the same is true at peak hours, so I'd like to help other staff members with tickets during prime and at downtime when other staff members are afk or not on. Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * As previously mentioned, I've been playing for over a year now, and I'd like to say I have a pretty good grasp on the rules at this point. Which has helped me get a better understanding of the rules and how roleplay situations should go. What do you do?: I would start by gathering clips and any other evidence I could get. Then I would see if I could contact a member of UA or anyone else that would deal with these situations and send them everything I had gathered. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I'd have another staff member take the ticket, but if I had to take the ticket, I would start by getting clips and stories from both sides and make sure there were no rule breaks. I feel like there probably would be some subconscious bias seeing that I knew the dude; however, I would do my best to make sure I didn't have any bias towards either party.

As the person you encountered in the clip. I do admit it was bit of a break of NLR of such, but ultimately we made the ticket. So really I just jumped the gun, either way I would've asked you to return the fed shirt 2 anyway. The situation you died in, I followed you out of the club and asked multiple time to drop the shirt but you still refused. After you died I did not say anything about a PK. The next time I encountered you, I asked you to return the suit and we wont continue through with the PK ticket. To which you denied. The situation in question though you showed a complete disregard for your life. You had all the opportunities to return the suit before I killed you. You chose not to give it up. The situation after is no longer the same situation. If a higher admin thinks this PK is undeserving congrats on the fed shirt! Otherwise if you dont get unPKd congrats on doubling down for 85k.

When I said unrelated, it meant unrelated to the direct roleplay situation of you stealing and getting killed. You had respawned, you were outside the roleplay scene that had just ended, him and you talking there, would not interfere with any active roleplay scene, or interfere with anyone's immediate immersion in any roleplay scenes, which from my understanding is the intent of the rule. He was saying what he was going to do and if you didn't want him to press the PK, he just wanted the stuff back, is there some NLR concerns sure, but he did not act on anything, he did not attempt to roleplay anything. Which again, the offer, would likely be welcomed by the majority of the people not trying to skirt on a technicality. You then immediately transferred the shirt to a third party, indicating to me, that the shirt was worth more to you than the character. As I stated again, "may void the pk entirely" I did not feel that the "may" should be applied in this situation, I am not rewording any rule or inherently changing anything. I have stated my outlook and my reasoning for my decision. We are arguing in circles and I'd rather not continue to do so, as this boils down to me not believing a void should be applicable for this situation and you believing a void to be applicable. As previously stated a higher staff will rule on this and when they do, they will explain their reasoning to do so.

Another PK'ing admin here. This char was banned for mugging char. All you have down since your unban was get banned for fail raid, and RDM (twice) and then create new characters for more mugs and raids after the last one gets PK'd. In this situation, after you had made an RDM ticket while you were raiding, again, I decided to check your logs. Your logs show a clear, and quite blatant, abuse of faction vendors to obtain guns for raiding and mugging and drugs to use as bait for more muggings. After going through all of your logs for character creation and deletion, PK's, lockpick use, tying, and vendors used - I came to the reasonable explanation this was yet again just another mugging char, hence you being killed. Just since 7/25 to now you have mugged 8 people that you successfully tied, raided at least 12 timed for your lockpick uses, that's not counting the times you tried to just push your way into open doors, and have made 5 different chars that follow the pattern I had already listed before. (Join faction, get gun, get drugs for bait, buy lockpicks and restraints, go mugging and raiding). If you are going to go on a public forum and try to call others a troll or "on some bullshit" prepared to have your very dirty laundry aired out. Only reason you're not fully banned, again, was because another member of staff chose for me to show you mercy this time.

Ban reason is hacking? If you claim the guy to be cheating at least specify the cheats he used in the ban reason. But no, he is not cheating. You see crazier shit in cs-go and some of the guys are not even pros. Honestly, a lot of players including myself just suck at pvp and Gmod is an old game full of bugs, lag, etc. Not to mention the fact that PM-9 is an op gun and even I can kill anyone with it.
