The thing is, you cant force people to be enemies you cant force conflict between factions. From how i envision this, its not going to inherently stop large embargos or positive relationships with non allies. What it will do however is let shit happen between factions that have beef but nothing ever happens with it. For the factions that are currently embargoed, instead of not being able to do much other than verbally shit talk that leads nowhere. They could get kicked out of a restaurant and in retaliation, roleplay dumping trash over the restaurant and spray paint without needing to be in a UA approved war escalation. It would give people who are embargoed roleplay and something to do as well as the people embargoing something to do. In the regards to positive relations with non allys, this isnt going to stop your don from pking you for starting shit with a faction they’re friendly with. However what it could do is lessen it, if a guy from a non ally faction im cool with talks shit to me and threatens one of my guys, instead of going to the don and being like “hey u should get rid of that guy” i could go “hey he did this so I'm just gonna have my entire faction find him and beat him to death for fun”.

Massive +1. This suggestion makes the MOST SENSE roleplay wise, especially with the provided examples. People are itching for more RP and situations like these are perfect. I have several people who I’m friendly with OOC, but we create in game disrespect/“conflict” that can be roleplayed out in order to make the roleplay game engaging and have meaningful roleplay. This would enable factions to have more reason to stay in-game and participate in role play scenarios. This also lessens reliability on OOC stuff and discord since you will need in-game interactions (proof with clips) to further escalate.

Wow, I ran your shit between 3 AI checkers and as per uploaded images shows this review didn't even bother with it. Ofcourse our "Rivals" who order their goons to -1 bomb us the first day and go nuts when we respond and can't come up with a original human review would've result in this pathetic attempt with a member of 3 years unlogged account taking the bait so that they will seem like the innocent angels brilliant scheme. What I notice is the lack of literacy between this group that's targetting us, as the leader himself tried to judge my systems like salary system by just saying other factions give out 15k to recruits. I'll still dismantle the arguments that are being made against my post. Salary System: We claim that we fixed our economic and roleplay issue by having a senior and junior relationships, with members having quotas to fulfill and investments are made by higher leadership. We have claimed it kills lone grind problem as seniors need to feed their juniors with money constantly rather than being lazy and letting them go with money at start of the week so there won't be any breakage. This pushes to work as groups thus promote more roleplay and ORGANIZATION within ORGANIZED CRIME ring of ours. And its a new system where criminals are expected payroll for doing what they are told rather than being forced to be on their own antics to come up with the money and risk being robbed etc. Our Rivals couldn't read this properly, our rivals ai generated text obviously dont know how the game works so it went into hallucination mode and magically thought we claimed to destroy grinding system where WE DID NOT claim such a thing and that drugs will be still collected just in groups rather than forced to pick them up as one guy and go to a deal alone and process the drug alone and pay kickup weekly and have enough to do the same cycle. Leadership: Our rivals claim we lack leadership as first few months I had to make drastic changes to the faction as one HC quit because he thought that being part of a Romanian Mafia that survived WW2 isnt something he want to associate with, another one disrespected the faction by trying to rent it out for 20k scat party, not contributing leadership and barely recruiting few people before pk'ing a member just because he defended the turf and shot at his butt-buddies that were there to watch television. Its a video game you never know how people will turn out especially when they told me to apply for a faction then they left me all alone, I still made it work with whats loyal to me and kept my faction alive. Yes we had trouble with activity or retention, and we admitted to every mistake but I've never made my faction a lapdog of another faction by choosing a side. Which was expected of us at the moment, reason why we didnt foster good relationships and had economic issues. Now we have a proper chain of command that knows Basarab spirit with ex-members from WW2 flocking in aswell as many players thats fostered with this lore for months end while playing different game. Backstory: Our AI critic here thinks that our background is insufficient, just because we have skipped communist Romania part. Well thing is Basarabs dominated Berlin which was the economy beast of the era. It has been told in the story that after driving Celero's out Basarabs made a deal to dominate the underworld in exchange for tribute and deep government assistance. They have bribed 10.000.000 RM and would fight against partisans while profiteering by selling partisans weaponry stolen by government lots, documents etc. 1800 and early 1900s Era literally is the old era where crimes like prostitution, drugs and taking over people's lives were seen bad how its expected of us to write a compelling story just for faction application rather than our Lore page in our Discord makes sense I dont know how to explain this. We make lores time to time and post it in our discord to be talked about as stories for some characters like old man Uncle Basarab telling stories from Berlin to youngsters. It wouldnt make sense to go overhead and make it a forced event to recite lore that didn't happen when it can just come out naturally with ideas etc. rather than forced monthly event. Recruitment: "However, debt collection, deliveries, intimidation, and other introductory criminal activities are hardly exclusive to Basarab. These are common elements of organized-crime roleplay." Is another example of AI genius here talking. Recruitment in other factions forcibly involve for recruit to hurt 2nd char of a recruiter as evidence of crime committed for faction. We have been doing this before it was a requirement to PK recruits as ordering drugs was enough at the time. Its not our recruitment tactic, we don't have a set way to recruit as Organized criminals develop various schemes we have written in previous post that theres Taxi drivers forced into join the company and maybe given the opportunity to prove themselves. We don't want our serious roleplay to be interrupted by minges so obviously we dont recruit anyone off the street so easily or in one tactic so that our rivals can infiltrate us which seems to be a common tactic. Events: We dont have scheduled forced socialization events, they happen naturally when people is together which is how it should be. Theres difference between a gang deciding to play poker at the moment and theres difference between being pinged multiple times to come at a certain day certain hour to play it. We claimed for our events to be created by GM or time to time ourselves with 2nd characters and compelling storylines like in the sopranos to give our low ranks missions like in GTA 4 for example Boss not happy with his daughters boyfriend, ordering thugs to beat him up, and further down the road in a coke rage ordering for him to be killed like "No Love Lost" in gta 4. Obviously we didnt wanna explain extremely too much so that our future low ranks would read these and get spoiled that its us behind it and not GM all the time neither that we want recognition and our ideas to be taken. Our numbers are higher than 11 with 18-20 people waiting to play in the faction, however we have core member system where people that meets specific criteria is considered actual members and members that are not meeting the certain criteria like wishing to main somewhere else and not full commitment as one of the reasons, we consider them as non-main members where they are allowed to roleplay with us enough to enjoy but not enough to see full scale of our organization. We have not once claimed other factions are Inactive, we came with optimistic pink shade glasses saw the hard reality then survived then we finally made the system thats different than the system being done nowadays. AI genius here claims being under Popov on limited contract is not enough as "However, functioning as a crew under an established organization is not necessarily equivalent to successfully operating an independent faction. An independent faction must maintain its own leadership, recruitment, finances, diplomacy, and activity without relying on the structure or influence of a larger organization." meanwhile in the server you are limited as civs without a faction, only way for us to prove was get on a temporary contract and make sure our systems like salary, group grinding, natural interactions happening before we can apply and be confident in ourselves. We originally wanted to extend our stay in Popov until their inner drama was going to put us at middle of it, to not cause bad blood I have resigned with my team after doing our duty and now back with my team to re-apply. It gave us experience of running our own shit our way and knowing that it works. We dont hate the other factions or want to put them down, we just show our differences as we do not fit into General Population of the server scene as our faction roleplay goal from day one is actual new generation criminal organization which is always hated by the locals where previous criminal organizations are institutionalized. Thats all theres to be said I hope there wont be anymore Red Herring fallacy to win support of others by seeming to be the mature side. All the attached pictures from the AI checkers

I am in favor of this, would get rid of a lot of the staleness, because you can't do half that shit without orders being put on you for causing issues with allies, or god forbid you're a small faction, you'd be embargo'd by 95% of the server and would just be known as trouble makers, slowly killing your faction. you can't do minor shit to anyone without it turning into a major big dispute that'll have shit ran up your chain of command faster than a Romanian grabbing a wallet. mainly because there's no reason to let anything small fester and cause beef. But I 100% agree with most of the comments here. +1 People like to claim the mega alliance being dissolved wouldn't solve anything but honestly in my god awful opinion, it would probably help if everyone wasn't dick-to-hole best "friends" constantly.

Organizația Basarab Revival Application
handsome replied to Franzzy's topic in Factions Applications
Talking out of ass i met him when he invited me to the faction -
After reading through this application, I find it difficult to understand why Basarab deserves another faction slot when the majority of this document consists of explaining why the faction failed previously, followed by promises that the same problems have now been resolved. While acknowledging past mistakes is commendable, simply recognizing those mistakes does not demonstrate that the faction is capable of operating successfully a second time. The biggest issue with this application is that nearly every proposed improvement is something that should have been established before the faction was accepted the first time. Having competent officers, active members, functioning recruitment, economic stability, and consistent roleplay are not unique accomplishments. These are basic expectations for any faction seeking an official position on the server. The application presents these developments as though they distinguish Basarab from its competition, when in reality they are the minimum requirements for operating a functioning organization. You openly admit that your previous leadership could not agree on the faction's philosophy, that recruitment was largely abandoned, that economic problems took priority over roleplay, and that internal drama eventually contributed to the faction disbanding. These are not isolated problems caused by unfortunate circumstances. They indicate fundamental failures in leadership, organization, and preparation. The fact that these issues were only addressed after the faction had already deteriorated to fewer than four members raises serious questions about why the same leadership should be trusted with another opportunity. Your solution to these problems appears to be replacing officers, recruiting former members, and establishing trade partnerships. However, none of these changes guarantee that the underlying problems have actually been resolved. You claim that the organization now operates without internal conflict, but the absence of conflict during a relatively short period does not establish long-term stability. Likewise, growing from four to eleven members is certainly an improvement, but eleven members on a roster do not necessarily translate into eleven consistently active and committed roleplayers. A larger roster is not evidence of a better faction unless that growth produces meaningful activity. Another significant issue is your repeated claim that Basarab offers something fundamentally different from existing criminal organizations. Your application criticizes other factions for repetitive grinding, forced socialization, and conventional ranking structures, yet many of your own proposed activities are variations of systems already present on the server. Your salary system is arguably the most developed idea in the application, but even this is primarily an economic arrangement rather than a unique roleplay concept. Members gather resources, higher-ranking individuals sell those resources, and the resulting profits are distributed among participants. While this may be more efficient than individual kickups, efficiency should not be confused with originality. You have essentially centralized the same economic activities that you criticize other factions for performing individually. The underlying gameplay remains gathering supplies, processing commodities, and selling products. Moving those responsibilities between ranks does not automatically create more meaningful roleplay. Furthermore, your argument that this system eliminates grinding is contradictory. You still describe members completing quotas and gathering commodities to generate organizational revenue. The grind has not disappeared; it has simply been reorganized. There is nothing inherently wrong with that approach, but presenting it as a revolutionary departure from existing faction economics is an exaggeration. Your proposed recruitment system suffers from a similar problem. Inviting prospective members into gambling games, placing them in debt, and assigning criminal errands could certainly create interesting scenarios. However, debt collection, deliveries, intimidation, and other introductory criminal activities are hardly exclusive to Basarab. These are common elements of organized-crime roleplay. What matters is the quality of their execution, and this application provides little evidence that your recruitment system consistently produces lasting members, especially considering your previous admission that recruitment was one of the faction's largest failures. The same issue extends to your proposed events. You criticize other factions for organizing repetitive social gatherings, yet your own description of daily faction life involves members congregating at a boxing gym, drinking, gambling, and discussing everyday matters. How is this fundamentally different from the social roleplay you criticize when other factions engage in it? Socializing is apparently unoriginal when another faction does it, but becomes meaningful underworld roleplay when Basarab gathers around a table. Your alternative appears to be an increased emphasis on violence, including public executions, intimidation, smuggling, and other criminal activities. However, violence is not a substitute for originality, and criminal activity alone does not establish meaningful roleplay. Almost any organized-crime faction can threaten debtors, attack rivals, conduct illegal transactions, or organize violent events. What distinguishes a successful faction is the narrative development, interaction with other players, and consequences surrounding those activities. Simply promising more violence does not explain how Basarab will produce better roleplay than its competitors. Your proposed Ecstasy market is another example. Introducing a new commodity could provide additional opportunities for dealers and criminal organizations, but the application does not establish why this would be unique to Basarab beyond the claim that your organization would control its distribution. Selling drugs in bulk, supplying smaller dealers, and negotiating with other organizations are already established concepts within organized-crime roleplay. Adding another substance may expand the economy, but it does not inherently demonstrate that the faction itself deserves official recognition. I also find the application's criticism of other factions particularly unconvincing considering Basarab's own history. You repeatedly describe existing organizations as inactive, unoriginal, and dominated by repetitive economic gameplay. Yet your explanation of your previous failure admits that Basarab became so consumed by economic problems that it neglected its promised roleplay. You are criticizing other factions for the exact behavior that contributed to your own disbandment. The difference is that those factions are being judged on what they currently do, while Basarab asks to be judged on what it promises to do differently in the future. You cannot use your previous failures as evidence of experience while simultaneously asking everyone to overlook those failures when evaluating your ability to lead. Experience is valuable when it produces demonstrable improvements, but having previously operated a faction is not, by itself, a qualification for receiving another slot. The backstory also deserves scrutiny. While it is extensive, its length should not be mistaken for depth or historical credibility. Much of the narrative consists of the Basarab family accumulating power through increasingly violent conflicts, defeating rival families, and expanding its criminal operations across Europe. These events may establish an intimidating reputation, but they do relatively little to explain the organization's present identity, internal culture, or relationship with the server's current setting. There are also historical inconsistencies that weaken the credibility of a faction presenting itself as a serious Eastern European criminal organization. For example, the backstory describes communists being elected in Romania after World War II, significantly oversimplifying the Soviet-backed political takeover and establishment of communist rule. It also describes the organization openly operating a criminal empire in wartime Berlin, bribing the police, and fleeing to Switzerland as Germany lost the war, without adequately explaining how such an organization maintained its position within the political and security environment of Nazi Germany. These are substantial historical developments that deserve more consideration than the application provides. The timeline also creates an important question about the faction's identity. The application emphasizes a Romanian criminal dynasty founded in the nineteenth century, yet much of its most significant criminal history occurs in Berlin, and the current organization has only recently established itself in the United States. Despite this extensive background, the proposed gameplay largely consists of gambling, drug distribution, debt collection, and violent intimidation. The application does not convincingly explain how its generations of family history will meaningfully influence day-to-day roleplay beyond providing Romanian names, a family hierarchy, and a reputation for violence. Additionally, the application relies heavily on achievements from previous roleplay environments. Screenshots of executions, bodyguards, and a moonshine operation may demonstrate that the group has participated in organized roleplay before, but they do not establish that Basarab will be successful in Southside. Previous-server accomplishments are not substitutes for current-server performance, especially when the faction has already been given an opportunity here and ultimately disbanded. Your temporary position under the Popov Crime Family also raises questions. You describe this period as evidence of improvement, including participation in a conflict and the establishment of trade relationships. However, functioning as a crew under an established organization is not necessarily equivalent to successfully operating an independent faction. An independent faction must maintain its own leadership, recruitment, finances, diplomacy, and activity without relying on the structure or influence of a larger organization. The application needs to demonstrate that Basarab can sustain those responsibilities independently, not merely participate in them while operating under another faction. Finally, I take issue with the overall attitude of the application. Rather than focusing entirely on what Basarab has accomplished and can contribute, a significant portion of the conclusion attempts to diminish other factions. You describe their leadership structures as glorified friendships, their members as isolated grinders, and their events as forced corporate meetings. Yet these broad accusations are not supported by specific evidence. Even if some of these criticisms are accurate, the shortcomings of other organizations do not automatically make Basarab a better candidate. A faction should earn its position by demonstrating its own value, not by insisting that everyone else is worse. Ultimately, I do not believe this application provides a convincing justification for granting Basarab another official faction slot. It demonstrates that the leadership understands why its previous attempt failed, but understanding failure is not the same as proving improvement. The proposed economic structure may be more organized, the roster may be larger, and the recruitment process may be more entertaining, but none of these developments establish the long-term consistency that was previously missing. The application repeatedly asks us to believe that the faction has changed, while providing limited concrete evidence of sustained independent success. Its supposed innovations are largely alternative arrangements of existing criminal roleplay, its historical background is extensive without consistently translating into meaningful gameplay, and its criticism of other factions is undermined by its own admitted history. If Basarab has genuinely improved to the extent claimed, then those improvements should be demonstrated through consistent activity, successful recruitment, and meaningful roleplay before receiving another official slot.

+1 Let's make it engaging when someone makes small but negative actions against a faction. Sucks to have someone act shitty and nothing come of it because they can dodge a sitdown. Let us RP beef. Sucks the topic's been so full of babble

Never would’ve thought an RP conflict discussion would turn into an argument about education and Turkey. anyways, yeah, mega-alliances are doodoo, we don’t need those - maybe in PK wars, but those are mostly phased out yeah? Cops v Criminals mean PK almost all the time, so the real fun (and more realistic form of conflict) should be criminals v criminals. No big PK wars, just little conflicts for fun. Some people may whine and complain, but how are you gonna play the criminal RP server and get upset when the criminals engage in criminal behavior?

It's very quiet walking around. I'd expect drive bys, spats, trash talk, the occasional fight. I haven't seen anything relevant "gang related" happen since the recent war. It honestly just seems like everyone is just ok with grinding shipments everywhere. You don't see power grabs or muscle flexing. I'm all for people being chill, but if you want more money, land etc- push comes to shove.
