Officers may still approach you for things that you have on your back, simply using a stash does not make you immune. They may not approach you for interacting with the stash, question you about the stash, and search you based off of the other 2. However, they may approach you and attempt to interact with you based on what you have outside the stash (in this case guns on your back.)
-
are you suggesting I go blind to a dude with two guns on his back after a shooting of officers just because he wasn't wearing a blue jersey? Also here are the guns obviously sticking out from your back clearly seen from the rooftops. Do you want freebies?

"Here's a 3 minute clip of everything that happened. I am the officer. Guns were sticking out of your back and was seen from the rooftop. " - SolidSnakeDrive As quoted above from SolidSnakeDrive, there is two different stories being told here- he is saying that it was due to me being on the street, there is a split second within the clip you can actually see the weapons on my back and nothing actually put out by a BOLO or we can't even hear their radio conversations. The only thing over the Radio was from the Corporal and was instructing the current person on the look out was the Blue Jersey Basketball and didn't mention my character at any given point. Secondly. Yourself had noted the Stash and that he didn't approach me, until after being completely inside the stash to now where you can see the Musket and the AKM being on my back, rearranging the Stash completely to fit both weapons inside. Where it was clear I was already in the stash.

My voice was recorded. You can hear me say you're under arrest but it doesn't record radio audio for some reason but regular voice chat yes. Listen again. Also you can literally hear all on-duty police call out that there is a shooter on the roof, someone said "I think he jumped to the floor" on radio. I jump to the floor and happen to see guns on your back. Literally everything was on radio, all callouts. Here is an IC image of your AKM on your back. Also I don't VC with anyone while playing Diverge. Ask anyone if they have ever even seen me in their VC.

Missing Audio With how Medal Operates, you can remove the audio from clips- I do this with my Discord Audio and other games where you can hear my friends in the background, it records and can be edited out by the original user. Which raises the question of what other applications was open or if something to hide over the radio between yourself and the other Officers. - Game Audio - Medal Encorder - Discord Audio (If open) -Microphone

Hello, I'm the staff member that approved the PK. There are a couple factors that led to me approving the PK, this is the link of the clip as to not mislead individuals reviewing this was the clip that was provided to me, the initial clip was a little short and almost agreed that it was stash camping, fortunately after asking the officer to provide a longer clip he did so. In this longer clip as he was explaining he pointed out that while you jumped over the fence he noticed you had guns on your back and was approaching you. It was just unfortunate timing that he had attempted to approach you while at the stash, during his attempt to cuff you, you had pulled out a weapon, the officer responded in time to prevent his death. This obviously resulted in death of your character. Unfortunately I do not know why the officer decided to quit pursuing the perp they were looking for and go after you, but seeing as you had a non-open carry weapon on your back I deemed it a reasonable approach.

Name of Character: Ben Pierce Character ID: 132166 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:136626662 Your Discord ID#: justghostman Date of PK: 11/5/26 Reason for PK: PK by Cops ■ Breaking Fear RP while being detained by Police. If the police are detaining you for a crime and you break FEAR rp by pulling a weapon on them the NYPD are still within their right to react in self defense. This can and will be considered initiating a violent confrontation with police EVEN if you never managed to fire the weapon. Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: You may NOT mug in front of NPCs as they are considered witnesses in RP. You may not bypass this rule by attempting to 'pull them away under FearRP in front of an NPC. Do not target people using NPCs/ATMs/Stashes. This includes camping. It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to blackmarket/illegal NPCs. Police do not "have knowledge" the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). Nor do they have knowledge of the existence of criminal stashes. I'm appealing my character's PK because I honestly don't think the situation was handled fairly, especially considering how everything happened from my perspective. I feel like I was put into a situation where I didn't really know what was going on, and by the time I realized what was happening, it had already escalated to the point where I ended up permanently losing my character. To explain what happened, I was moving some of my stuff from my ATM to my stash behind Little Italy. I had two guns on my back, an AKM and a Musket that I got from an event. Both were legally owned, and I was just trying to put them away. I ran across the street, noticed a cop over by the townhouses then got run over by two cars. In the clip too the cop was told by his Corporal that the suspect was wearing a Blue Basketball Jersey, and jumped over the fence to get to the Hula Stash. My character was wearing a full black suit, and full black fedora, completely voiding the actual description of the person they're searching for at the time. When I got there, somebody had a package sitting right in front of the stash, so I had to move farther into the bushes just to access it. The area was already pretty dark and covered by trees and bushes, so I wasn't exactly able to see everything going on around me. While I was trying to access it, I heard footsteps nearby. I didn't think much of it at first because of the package that was sitting there. I figured it was probably whoever owned the package coming back to grab it. Then I heard what sounded like a camera clicking, looked back over from my second monitor, and realized somebody was tying me up. At that point, I had no clue it was a cop. I thought somebody was trying to mug me while I was accessing my stash, which is why I started backing up and pulled my pistol. I genuinely thought somebody was about to take the guns I had on my back, and I wasn't about to just assume the person behind me was law enforcement when I hadn't even seen them approach. I know pulling my pistol made the situation worse, but I wasn't intentionally trying to pull a gun on a cop. I didn't even know he was there until I noticed I was being restrained. That's the part I feel is being overlooked. Apparently, from what I've been told afterward, the cop was searching for an active shooter who had shot another officer. He came down a ladder, "saw" me with guns on my back, and watched me go into the bushes where my stash was. I can understand why he would've been suspicious of somebody carrying guns while looking for an active shooter, but I don't understand what actually connected me to the shooting. I wasn't shooting anybody, I didn't have either of the guns on my back drawn, and I wasn't doing anything other than moving my stuff into storage. Was there an actual description of the shooter that matched me? Did somebody identify me as the person involved? Or was it just because I happened to have guns on my back? That's what I'm confused about, because from my perspective I was just minding my own business and suddenly somebody was trying to tie me up. The server also has a rule stating: "You may NOT mug in front of NPCs as they are considered witnesses in RP. You may not bypass this rule by attempting to 'pull them away under FearRP in front of an NPC. Do not target people using NPCs/ATMs/Stashes. This includes camping." This is why I originally thought somebody was trying to mug me. I was literally in the middle of accessing my stash when somebody came up behind me and started restraining me. I had no reason at the time to think it was a cop, especially with how dark and covered up the area was. I know now that he was supposedly looking for an active shooter, so I'm not saying he was definitely camping the stash. But I still think it's worth looking into whether he decided to target me because I was using it. There's also the police metagaming rule: "It is considered Meta for Police to attempt to arrest people for talking to blackmarket/illegal NPCs. Police do not 'have knowledge' the NPC buys drugs and it's not a reason to detain or arrest users approaching it. (Camping the NPC). Nor do they have knowledge of the existence of criminal stashes." This is another thing that doesn't really make sense to me. If the officer watched me go into the bushes and access my stash, how would he know what I was doing? The rules specifically say police don't have knowledge of criminal stashes. I'm not saying that simply seeing me go into the bushes is metagaming. What I'm questioning is whether the officer used the fact that I was accessing a stash as a reason to approach or restrain me. If he did, I don't see how that would be allowed under the rule. Something else I want to mention is the actual communication during the situation. In the Medal clip, the officer starts saying "You are..." and then just stops talking. I didn't hear a complete explanation of what was happening at that moment, and considering I already had no idea who was behind me, that didn't exactly help me understand the situation. If I had known it was a cop trying to detain me, I would've at least understood what was going on. Instead, I thought some random person was trying to rob me in the bushes while I was using my stash. The screenshots I provided show how covered up the area was. Between the fence, the bushes, and everything else around the stash, it was difficult to see somebody approaching, especially from behind. I also had to move farther into the bushes because the package was blocking the stash, which made the visibility even worse. I feel like this is important because the situation is being looked at as if I knowingly pulled a gun on an officer, when that's not what happened from my perspective. I didn't see him come down the ladder, didn't know about the active shooter situation, and didn't realize the person tying me up was a cop. I reacted because I thought somebody was trying to mug me, not because I wanted to start shooting at police. I'm also confused about why the whole situation resulted in a PK instead of just a normal death. Even if the officer had a reason to defend himself after I pulled my pistol, does that automatically mean my character deserves to be permanently killed? I feel like there's a difference between a confrontation ending in somebody dying and the situation actually meeting the requirements for a PK. I'm not saying I made the perfect decision by drawing my pistol. I know that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but I made that decision based on what I thought was happening at the time. I didn't have the same information the officer apparently had, and I don't think it's fair to judge my reaction as if I did. What I want staff to look into is why the officer decided to restrain me in the first place, whether he had any actual reason to connect me to the active shooter, whether my stash had anything to do with his decision, and what specifically justified permanently killing my character. I'm not trying to get out of every consequence of what happened. I understand that RP has consequences, and I'm fine with that when they're justified. But I genuinely don't think this situation should've ended with me permanently losing my character without everything leading up to it being considered. I was moving two legally owned guns into my stash, got caught off guard by somebody trying to tie me up, thought I was being mugged, and reacted without knowing it was a cop. That's why I'm appealing. I feel like the whole thing came down to a misunderstanding, and I don't believe my character should be permanently killed over it without a proper review of both sides. I'd appreciate staff looking over the Medal clip, screenshots, and whatever logs are available before making a final decision on whether the PK was justified. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines: Medal Clip: https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/nS5z3vkRX00O5caIR?invite=cr-MSwzWFYsNDA0NDQ3NTcz

Aren't you permabanned?

Your flag appeal has been reviewed and accepted. The blacklist will be lifted from your account shortly.

First off, I don’t inherently disagree with punishment given out here. You should not be building sort of floating buildings or something similar. And you should especially not be blocking entrances to areas like you did. But all of your previous prop related offenses are from 2-3 years ago, not anytime recently, so I’m willing to give you one last chance. Don’t do this again

You left the game 6 seconds after being tazed, as proven by logs. This is your 5th offence for LTARP. On your next offence, I will recommend your ban length is heftily increased. Your ban appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this ban to be reasonable and/or justified. Ensure you have read our Server Rules.

Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): STEAM_0:0:19988556 Reason for ban: "LTAP" Length of ban: I assume 24hrs Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): dispute Why should you be unbanned? I never LTAP'd - what was I supposed to be avoiding? I saw a bunch of cops minging about ramming their cars into each other on that corner opposite the police station, some random guy started yelling and following at me, and then I did stop playing not long after because my game crashed and wouldn't relaunch gmod - think the issue is fixed now this morning now I've run some package updates (I use Arch Linux on my machine). I'm not on the disc and don't know anyone so not like I could tell anyone. Your logs should tell you this because it should show "user timed out" instead of disconnect by user or whatever the default is. Earlier in the night I DID technically leave in a situation where I was being followed on another character because I accidentally hit a retry bind (used to having black screen errors / bugs in a server I commonly play on), and I did @ to the staff in server at the time I rejoined to say I was back and what had happened. But I got no response, so I carried on. Additional Information (images, videos, etc): I've got logs from my machine running journalctl at the time from when I had the issue though you probably won't understand them. I'm not particularly invested either way because it's not a long ban, but I want to dispute it on principle because, well, I did not actually LTAP, you can't blame me for a game crash. Also, I got deathmatched earlier in the day by some guys shouting some racist shit in VC and you ignored my @ then so I feel like there's a weird double standard going on here. kgmmuInvalidateTlb_GM107: TLB invalidation failed waiting for prior invalidate (status=0x0000000f), vaspaceFlags 0x101, scope 0x2, GFID 0 Nov 05 01:42:11 USER1 kernel: NVRM: nvAssertFailedNoLog: Assertion failed: pEntries != NULL @ gmmu_walk.c:842 Nov 05 01:42:11 USER1 kernel: NVRM: nvAssertFailedNoLog: Assertion failed: progress == indexHi_tmp - indexLo_tmp + 1 @ mmu_walk.c:1092 Nov 05 01:42:11 USER1 kernel: NVRM: nvAssertFailedNoLog: Assertion failed: NV_OK == status @ mmu_walk.c:487 Nov 05 01:42:11 USER1 kernel: NVRM: mmuWalkSparsify: Failed to sparsify VA Range 0x3390000 to 0x340ffff.
