We're aiming to heavily incorporate Hispanic culture into our RP by running several food trucks that sell traditional Cuban food. In the future, we plan to get our own Cuban cigars added which ties into our backstory as former tobacco smugglers. We also plan to eventually run a Cuban/Hispanic style restaurant. Most cartels uphold a reputation for their public acts of violence, where we are going to take it to a more hidden and professional place. Instead of dressing like some thugs, our guys will present themselves as serious, legitimate businessmen.

To keep people interested, we will host block party style fiestas where our (or other peoples) food trucks can be utilized. We plan on frequently hosting events on the weekend where we take many of our members to eat/party at other factions establishments, giving multiple factions opportunity to RP.

It just sounds like you guys just want to be a mafia faction in all but name. You cannot have a cartel faction without frequent public acts of violence and barbarity. If you are going to have a cartel faction, you have to commit to it. I get it, you aren't going to dress up as cholos or whatever. But at the same time, you have to dress like actual Narcos if you really want it to work. I mean, dressing up like "Some thugs" wouldn't be bad roleplay. And the whole legitimate businessmen thing you guys are aiming for. I don't really see it, true Narcos will act like Narcos. True Narcos will dress like Narcos. Best case scenario, it would work for the people in high command. But for street level guys, no. Most Narcos do their best to puff out their chests and let the whole world to not mess with them. The last thing they will do is have a cool and calm demeanor. I mean, the Mexican government had some cartel boss killed a few months ago, and a third of the country was in hell because the Narcos were killing random people out of pure spite.

 

Imagine if I'm a new player and I see a cartel faction and think "That sounds cool, I wanna join them." Because I'm imagining all of the brutal cartel stuff that usually happens. But when I join, it's just mobsters. Instead of having people named Paulie or Louie eating spaghetti for whatever. It's gonna be people named Pablo and Adolfo eating tacos or whatever the fuck. But other than the small differences, it's just a mafia faction. I signed up for a cartel faction, not a mafia faction with the cartel name just slapped onto it. Then I think "Man, this is lame." Then I leave the faction, or God forbid, leave the server. That ain't good, now is it.

 

Speaking of the faction, it's really impressive that your cartel has over 40 members already. However, it's a bit perplexing that I haven't heard of literally any cartel roleplay in the server. Not in character, not out of character. Not. A. Peep. If I were the one making this application, I would have included footage of my guys actually roleplaying with other members of the sever instead of scripted RP. All you guys have is a Narcos intro parody, and a fake interview. Shouldn't there be a little more RP? I understand, this is a new organization. But there should have been more roleplay prior to the posting of this application. More importantly, there should have been footage of said roleplay included in the examples. What is currently there, leaves a lot to be desired.

That being said, I'm going to give this a -1 until you guys start acting like you are in the CARTEL and not just Colombozzini.

There is a way to take cartel RP where the barbarity exists, but behind closed doors. Just because we're not stringing up bodies every day in some elaborate set up doesn't mean we're not a cartel, or that the violence isn't there. You're just misrepresenting what im saying. Most of what you're saying is merely speculation.  We plan on committing violent acts, and all of our hits will reflect that. All i said was that it will be more hidden (more implying there will be some acts of public violence).

Your Turkish fella here. I had the chance to get to know many people in this faction including its founder, through the Bambozzini family. They are all friendly people and most importantly, they genuinely care about roleplay. I have personally witnessed how long they've been working and putting effort into this application together. I haven't seen a cartel on the server in a long time, and considering their dedication and the amount of work they've put in, I think they absolutely deserve a chance.
