Hi, The server was experiencing a huge influx of OOC in IC rulebreaks, with numerous staff announcements made that the punishment for doing so would continue to increase. It was made aware to the players of the server that the next punishment after the 30 minute mutes would likely be a worse punishment. When you decided to then post an OOC in IC advertisement, a deliberate choice to spread it to the widest possible playerbase, I was told to issue a ban. The ban length was determined by myself with some advice from other staff members. Whilst in the sit you asked "What can you actually do about it" - I assume because you believed you could get away with a mute and feel no real consequence for your actions. At the end of the day you knowingly broke the rules of the server, using OOC in an IC channel to harass a staff member and you were confident you would not be punished duly. There is no specific guidance on what is and isn't a suitable punishment, but I had sought advice and was recommended to issue the ban. I believe the ban is justified and your actions in the forums and server discord further highlight your lack of remorse, understanding or care about your actions. I believe Pendred has said enough on the other aspects of this case and I will not need to repeat what he has said to everyone in here. Good luck on your appeal

App is reasonably good but the omission of that you were staff when you caught your pretty serious metagame and item transfer ban is concerning You have mentioned that you learnt from that mistake, but regardless it took you less than a month last time to crack and use your position for an unfair advantage - what reasons are there to believe you wouldn't do so again if put back into the staff team

Hi there, I was the admin who handled this ban - You were banned for Powergame, NITRP and NLR To define powergame: Powergaming is described as forcing a scenario or roleplay onto someone against their will, usually in violation of the rules. Using other game mechanics to powergame can include, attempting to force players to do things outside of the server, forcing players to commit suicide, forcing players to commit crimes, forcing players to RP or /me's against their will, forcing players to give their f3, etc etc, By dropping a brick of drugs into an operating business, and with PD nearby - you blatantly powergamed. Whilst I realize this may be a rule you were unfamiliar with, it is on you to have read the rules of the server. You can find them at the link provided below. Efficiency =/= laziness Hiring times vary greatly between hires - some people are new to Garrys Mod entirely and need full on mechanical training, others are experienced in Gmod but not RP and require server mechanics and some RP lessons, others are entirely experienced and really don't need much outside of the server grinding loop and etiquette norms What happens once every faction has their 5 during a busy period? (which we are in right now) - every new player has to minge around as a whiteshirt civ or take the cop pill? Every faction reserves the right to train how they see fit, and the retention - which is actually important - is determined by a thousand different factors

Not necessarily + or - but the playtime is extremely low I realise you've staffed other servers, but a good understanding of the specifics of current Diverge and the community feels key to being staff - 2 days is just not enough time yet I don't doubt you have the right temperament to be staff though, judging by those who recommended you
