Over time, people began to rely on the Patels, not out of fear, but the feeling of trust and necessity. Loans/favors were given when banks refused. Jobs appeared when no one else would hire. Problems were solved prudently and the family learned that their way of power doesn't come from crime/violence, but from the dependency of the people. Today, the Patels present themselves as highly accredited business owners embedded heavily in the community. Behind closed doors, they operate through trades, obligations, and balanced relationships with other families. Everyone owes something and the Patels never forget. But they are patient, Very patient. Hi. I am the banning member of staff involved. You were fired from the PD by one of the IA LTs, this is something you can battle in a ticket with the Commissioner, they made a ticket and I took it, changing your name, removing your PD whitelist and giving you a charkick to reset you to make sure you didn't have any firearms/cuffs etc on your person before you were allowed to leave. Then the LT and a few other cops that were present told you that you needed to be searched to make sure you don't have anything on your person that you're not supposed to have. You instantly swapped characters to your other one, Aarav Patel. Then you swapped back to Amir Magomedov and when the cops said you will be arrested if you do not comply with their orders, you said "kill yourself fag" and then swapped characters again.

Heres the thing, the server doesnt need more factions that are just "different" because of ethnicity. A lot of what you described is already being done, Fox has offered you some of his opinions/critiques that would make your faction a little more coherent. Its important that you realize its one thing to be a unique faction, its another when your faction isnt just a repeat of the same formula. I personally dont mind diversity, but the diversity you are trying to bring to the server is not practical. Its more than just being an Indian faction, its also about immersing yourself into the life of a gangster in the 80s, or well now 90s. An Indian mob could have some potential but I see a lack of creativity for this faction. - Why is an your family involved in organized crime? Indians arent exactly notorious for organized crime. - How has life in NYC effected your people's way of living that brought you to the point of entering organized crime? Those are just a few things that you should think about. The backstory isnt just a who your crime family is, its the core of your faction it makes up everything people that get on in your faction to do. If that RP is just standing around doing hiring RP and selling slurpees in an indian accent, I believe you should give your application more thought.

They are critiques for your application not points to an argument to get you in the server. I personally agree your RP sounds weak and doesnt offer anything different other than "Im Indian". Thats my opinion, and if others share that same first impression dont you wanna try to change that?

Hello, I truly understand your response but my faction really wants to signal and try to convert people to the idea of community and brotherhood rather than individualism. In comparison, you also said low playtime, I have enough to understand the game and I know the rules and how to operate. I said low-violence because we won't be messing with anyone just how the Popov's said their claim and also I find it quite absurd how you say just because we don't operate on killing that we won't retaliate. If you read up there I clearly state, "As Patels, we believe in brotherhood and will die for any one of our trusted members. We believe in true authenticity and building trust with one another. Therefore, if you betray our trust we will not be as patient and will not take this lightly" and in other sections too. Also, just like any faction, I will offer 10-20k for 30 minutes of security. It will operate the starting process just how any faction would. Finally, on the bullet where you said "awful indian accent," I think that claim is false because just like any other faction, there would obviously be banter and stereotypes for example, the Jews and their "penny pinching, long nose, and snotty behaviour" or also the Irish and their "a bota o wata." I personally don't believe any of your points are valid besides the backstory which I can argue that we are refugees from the political violence happening at the time. No.... I don't think you actually do know how to abide by the rules, hence why we're quite literally on a ban appeal. Your previous offenses kind of speak for themselves at this point where only at your second ban you receive a permanent ban. After being banned FOUR times in one month in 2024, you still continued to break rules and get banned. This appeal is very much a "I used to be stupid", so prove to the staff actually unbanning you what's different, because to me it sounds like the same amount of slop and you're only coming back because you ran out of options, not because you enjoy this server when you're not breaking the rules.

It's a fundamental issue with how the game works. They can't outright act on it but if someone is wanted and they have their f3 they know which properties to look at and good luck convincing staff that's outright meta game Giving out your name shouldn't result in giving out which faction you are a part of. This applies with or without my suggestion just without it being they know which faction you are a part of via tab menu instead of in rp.

Dear Canadian, or whoever this may reach. I am writing to apologize for my behavior on Mafia RP, specifically for minging and engaging in RDM and other weird and loser behavior. I fully accept that the actions I did were clearly broken of server rules and the standard set for this RP. I know I was a minge and I apologize. At the time, I failed to respect the roleplay rules and the class of other players put into keeping a fair experience. I understand that the RDM and disruptive behavior disregard the purpose of the roleplay which could create frustration for both players and mostly staff. I take full responsibility for what I have done and won't be making excuses for them. With the new year I want to take this chance to come back to Mafia RP and reset how I conduct myself in the server. Going forward i am committed to following all server rules and respecting roleplay cases and contributing positively to the community rather than ruining it. Well Fox, every faction in the server makes you do security also it is a way to see if people are not patient enough. I am not sure how much you are on but every faction requires you 30 minutes. I also have members who are significantly more experienced than me who will run as lead advisors for the faction. You're acting like this faction is not for RP yet every one of my points have connected. Aswell, I am not the only one running the faction and will have a democratic vote to see who will run as a boss/rep, this is kinda like how some countries have both a King and parliament. I believe this would also perfectly fit how the 7/12 is open and it correlates with everything. I will promise you it will not be a minge faction otherwise the Jews might aswell be considered a minge faction when they first started aswell.

So standing around RP? Disagree entirely. This is not enough time to understand what it requires to not only be high command, but being able to run a faction. As someone who comments on pretty much every faction post, is a long time member of the community and has run a successful faction in the past - this is worrying that you believe my points aren't valid.

-1 All in all, I think this would run a lot better as a civilian faction rather than randomly adding a crime aspect to it. PRO - Diverse ethnicity CON - Backstory leaves a lot to be desired. Lots of 'this happened' but not enough 'why' - Low playtime. - RP ideas are stale. Don't really see anything new in terms of RP ideas. When it boils down to it, you plan on running a shop. - Your whole faction idea doesn't make sense to me. You're 'low-violence'? to me that just reads like you're going to get bullied by everyone because you won't retaliate. IMO, you may be better creating this faction as a civilian faction and becoming Indian oil barons. - It would be great to see someone successfully run 'IOU's / Loans' but in my experience it doesn't really work. What do you have in place to stop people creating new characters, rocking up and asking for 20k and then them blowing it and getting PK'd by police? - I can honestly see this very quickly becoming a minge faction where people join to use an awful indian accent.

The Patel Family will be highly significant because they know that the real power of roleplay comes from developing trust, spending time roleplaying, and being a part of the roleplaying community rather than from forced participation. They maintain the roleplay environment by acting out cultural authenticity, legitimate occupations, and non-conflict situations Applying favors, establishing connections, or offering places like the 7/12 are additional ways to exert influence without being overly strong, in my opinion. But it doesn't mean that I would join this group, just an opinion of my own

Hi, The server was experiencing a huge influx of OOC in IC rulebreaks, with numerous staff announcements made that the punishment for doing so would continue to increase. It was made aware to the players of the server that the next punishment after the 30 minute mutes would likely be a worse punishment. When you decided to then post an OOC in IC advertisement, a deliberate choice to spread it to the widest possible playerbase, I was told to issue a ban. The ban length was determined by myself with some advice from other staff members. Whilst in the sit you asked "What can you actually do about it" - I assume because you believed you could get away with a mute and feel no real consequence for your actions. At the end of the day you knowingly broke the rules of the server, using OOC in an IC channel to harass a staff member and you were confident you would not be punished duly. There is no specific guidance on what is and isn't a suitable punishment, but I had sought advice and was recommended to issue the ban. I believe the ban is justified and your actions in the forums and server discord further highlight your lack of remorse, understanding or care about your actions. I believe Pendred has said enough on the other aspects of this case and I will not need to repeat what he has said to everyone in here. Good luck on your appeal

I am the banning member of staff, your clip literally shows you ramming your car into another car which then hits someone. That wasn't the first instance of you ramming the same car either. If your intention wasn't to hit people with your car/the other car then why did you continue to ram it.
