-1 TLDR: Keep jmooresy banned cake. Starting diverge I had jmz repeatedly shout abuse at me with no context of the rp of the server, later finding out that this guy was a staff member and was treating me like this in my first steps of the server could've pushed some people away so I'm glad I knew to ignore someone just dribbling hatred for no reason as after this and joining a faction that wasn't just shouting abuse at me. Further more I've had this guy show up to an apt in ghetto, switch to his staff char to see what was happening and then switch back to his main char. (What a lovely second meeting). During the conflict I had repeatedly again received abuse (including telling me to kill myself) from jmz but also from his cronies who were instructed to spout the same hatred that this insecure wee guy had spent months shouting at me. Finally moving on from my own bias and looking at the situation from a wider perspective, this is just me, I've talked to other people with similar experiences, these are the people who have stuck around, how many people has jmooresy bullied off the server before the got a chance to explore it? With the events that took place and in the lead up to the ban jmooresy was known to be a nuisance, but went over the line truly with the doxxing. To upload a ban appeal 6 days later stating to have changed, while hanging around in diverge general in my personal opinion shows a lack of growth and learning and more of a desperate plea and bargaining to try and claw his way back in without fully taking on the consequences of what he has done, without thinking about now others may feel about him being back, especially those who has harassed and ultimately doxxed, minor or not it's a complete arsehole move and I would be disappointed with the higher ups of the server if a ban was lifted so soon for behaviour that is hurting the servers player base at an ooc level. If you're reading to this point jmooresy, I do feel bad for you, I get you've spent a lot of time and money creating friendships and community on the server but I do think you need to reflect on how you make others feel before you open your mouth sometimes, not even as a staff member but as a player too, I have to give it to you recently you were becoming less cuntish but once again you've only got yourself to blame for the events that happened which lead us to your ban.

Hi, I was the staff member who pked your character. I was showed this clip: Untitled - Clipado com Medal.tv by the Probationary Officer, and I pked you for Violent Confrontation with the Police. However, another staff member showed me another clip (this one: Untitled - Copy - Clipado com Medal.tv) which shows the cop stated "That´s a pk" at the end of the clip, and provides further context of the situation. Hi, I was the Probationary Officer in the clip: I am new to the PK rules so I accidently stated "well that's a PK". Honestly, I have no quarrels with this guy and recommend his PK Appeal get accepted. I just reported his PK because I was told cop shootouts are usually PKs.

If you unban JMZ, you're basically implying that doxxing people, even if it was meant as a joke, is acceptable on Diverge. By that logic, unbanning JMZ after doxxing others would just encourage more people to do the same, since there would be no consequences.

+1, I understand the ban and it would be remiss of me to pretend he doesn't need some form of punishment but I also don't believe it should be perma as i feel "doxxing" is a harsh term to use. I get the breach of privacy but to classify it as doxxing is a bit much and makes it seem way more malicious than what happened, considering one of the people hurt by it was a joke and wasn't any form of doxxing. No full names or addresses were leaked, no crucial or vital information was leaked, but he does deserve some form of punishment besides a permanent ban for the breach of privacy that WAS committed.

Hello, While there is an argument that could be made whether the individuals involved with this mug could be mugging characters or not, something that will be looked into. My main issue with this mug and subsequently the PK lies with the execution of fear RP. At the beginning of the “mug”, when demands are being made at “gun point” the weapon of the mugger is on safety. This means your character is not under legitimate fear rp at this moment as the weapon isn’t being pointed AT you. The weapon is eventually taken off of safety, which is when fear rp would properly be imitated. However less than a second later, ~0.5 second, you take out your own weapon. Presumably in response to the previous “threat” when fear rp was not applied correctly. This does not allow sufficient time for you to realistically respond to the threat and comply demands when placed under PROPER fear RP.

The fact that the admin messed up the hit in the first place is an issue within itself. For detective Riggs to then break character and ask for a clip in a clearly OOC conversation while standing on top of the body is a clear violation of using OOC terms after a PK. There should be no discussion that this has been broken and Acqwon Matthews should have his PK reversed immediately.

everyone deserves chances especially after a perma to prove themselves worthy coming from someone who came back from a perma and my mind had changed, I was in jmz shoes 1 day and asking for another chance will really change him so i would ask for him to get that chance to see the change that will come from him. If anything at least he should make a apology letter to each person who was doxxed / effected and make them feel his forgiveness. but good guy needs to come back

I wouldn't say that. As someone that has been doxed many times before I understand what it feels like to have some random stranger on the internet have some of your personal information that could lead to harassment or endangerment. Whereas a simple abuse of power is considered way less serious
