Certain server rules regarding raiding, item transfer between characters, and the creation of mugging characters were unintentionally broken. Why should you be unPK’d? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: After speaking with staff and reflecting on the situation, I now understand the mistakes I made. At the time, I thought I had a good grasp on the server’s mugging and PK rules — I’d been asking people around me questions because I genuinely wanted to learn and stay within bounds. However, I now realize several key things I misunderstood: • I gave my friend (Andre Dupont) a shipment of guns from my main character, Alisio Ramano, just to help him out. I wasn’t thinking about using any myself at the time, but later, when I made Lucien Dupont, I ended up using one from that shipment. I now realize that still breaks the rules on character separation and item sharing, even if it wasn’t intentional. • I didn’t realize that creating a character solely for mugging (Lucien) is considered Fail RP, since it avoids consequences that a main character would face. • I was also unaware that the raid timer applies to groups, not individuals. When we lockpicked two motel doors, I mistakenly believed it was fine because we were doing it separately. • Lastly, my friend (Andre Dupont) never shot anyone during the situation. He was simply following me around because I had told him I knew what I was doing. He trusted that I understood the rules, and I now see that I unintentionally led us both into breaking them. While we talked in VC about the idea of trying out mugging before creating the characters, there was no metagaming during the RP itself. I fully accept responsibility and now understand how these actions negatively impacted the roleplay and broke server rules. That said, I’m not asking for the characters to be revived out of entitlement — I accept the PKs and the outcome. I’m writing this to show I’ve learned from the situation and that I’m serious about being a respectful, rule-abiding player in the community. I enjoy this server a lot, and I want to continue growing with it in the right way. Length of ban: 10 days Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Hello, I wanted to come here to apologize for what I did. I understand and agree that actions have consequences and that I am in the wrong. I would like to take full responsibility for my actions. I didn’t have a clear understanding of the rules and should have taken the extra time and effort to ask and clarify things before I did them. I had no intention of trying to break server rules but can see how I clearly did so after it being explained. I agree that both chars should be PK’ed after understanding how it can affect the server. I’ve only been here a month or two on and off but have really enjoyed this server. I’ve met a lot of great people and tried to follow rules as well as try to always be asking questions so I know what I should and shouldn’t be doing. This server definitely stands out compared to most and that’s why I make an effort on it. I agree that I shouldn’t just come right back after what happened but I would like to ask for a lesser time of a ban. I start a new job next Monday and was exited to have this week to come play and grind stuff out before I have my mornings cut off from the server. Why should you be unbanned? I could make something that would be serious about the issues of this server as someone who’s played it since it first came out to almost 5 years since the release. server is practically night and day.. and a lot of it comes down to the people, and not the actual developers and UA.

Also its important to note that Ayden has a VAC ban on record from almost 6 years ago and has since continued to use hacks despite getting VAC banned. This clearly highlights his commitment to continue cheating regardless of what he may claim.

-1 Cheating in any game is pathetic, but cheating in a roleplay setting is ridiculous. The events, the standoffs, times when you're set PK active all could be ruined by a cheater on any side.

-1 as I said before “Cheating is Cheating, and it shouldn't be done in any multiplayer environment.” In your last appeal you stated that "some cheating is fine" which showed your clear intent to continue cheating on any server you see fit, including Diverge. Further more in your last appeal you stated you had used cheats on Garrys Mod for 8 years this further demonstrates your determination to use cheats on any Garrys Mod server. Again I will state "if your appeal is accepted I think a lot of players would find this extremely alarming and unfair due to the clear-cut advantage you have over all the players that don't cheat like yourself."

-1 You cannot appeal this ban for another 4 months per the ban appeal guidelines. Not only this, after reading your appeal it is clear that you aren't actually sorry for what you did, other than the slight realization that you might have impacted other peoples gameplay with your blatant cheating, what a shocker. You literally said that you haven't changed, and are the same person you were two months ago, just older. Embarrassing you even made this appeal.

In the original decision on my ban, Pendred used the phrase “a couple months” when referring to a time where I may be allowed to appeal again. Keep in mind I have over 2k game time in GMOD and most of it was spent in HellsGamers PERP back in the day and a bunch of other RPs. My first concern - Why is everything so f*cking theatrical and zero-risk? The crybaby japs stand outside their gunstore and bait cops/civs just to get a reason to start shooting/blowing up cars. Every single faction just wants a reason to out their own interns/associates. Oooooh you got arrested? HERE COMES THE PK TICKET for bringing heat. No faction wants to start a war with the other so they let their own get r*ped before they do something or they pay up to avoid it. Because again, zero-risk wussies. I get the realism of it but if your best guy is getting chased by a rival gang because he left them a week ago you best believe there is a war happening if they touch him in any f*cking real life scenario unless they wanna do a sit down and solve it in a different way. People can grow hella shit in their apartments and faction properties without any worries of any raid happening. I don't even understand what the detectives/operatives do. They should be out there putting down crime families for good, running surveillance, collecting evidence, and they should have all the power to do it heck even if they have to pay crazy sums to informants, install civ scouts, wiretapping certain areas (yeah sometimes criminals are stupid and say the wrong things outside their faction property). Oh and I guess every single faction higher up has his own detective character so why would they even bother with all of this? Honestly if you're a higher up in a faction you shouldn't be allowed to have a cop character. PERIOD. The conflict of interest is there no matter what you tell me. Heck if one bullet is fired outside of a faction property, no matter what their intent or right is, that should be grounds for a full-on police raid. Maybe there should be a Crime Family/Gang/NARC Task Force with more investigative power, including the ability to be fully disguised as a civilian and not visible anywhere as a cop, able to join and maintain your character as a civilian in a crime family, gather intel and climb the ranks etc etc. Undercover work should be much better IMO, if you know someone has an affiliation with another gang you want to be able to follow that person and gather as much about him as possible, routines, entrys and exits. Who is he speaking to and why? End of rant, also no TLDR.
