+1 wow this could be cool. Let me add to this to entertain this idea that ideally idea'd: Faction leaders can get access to a command, idk /factionmenu then open a little cool menu where it has some cool features: Click a button to lockdown the faction. Click a button to add/remove users to have permission to whitelist people to the faction. Also, displaying what CharIDs have access to whitelist people to the faction. Similar to the Ban User from Casino, where it displays all CharIDs that are banned. a cool little stat page of the faction? I always like to keep track of my faction's population and one of the key factors to know how healthy my faction is doing is how many people get on daily so having a stat page showing, total whitelists, activity, other pieces of info, etc would be cool to have access to! How about additional features to add to this /factionmenu to help faction leaders do some managing without staff intervention.

What is your motivation/reason for applying?: * I love playing on the server, and have played for the last six months. I’m applying to help out and do my part, I have lots of spare time and while I’m in the city during the dead of night there's only one or two staff online. I know the rules well, and have amassed over a month on the server while gaining no notes and no bans. While playing Diverge, I have roleplayed as criminals, civilians, and a cop. My biggest motivation is to help people roleplay without constant interruptions due to minges and rule breakers (especially failmuggers). Why should you be considered over other candidates?: * I have a lot of time to give to the server and am active most days during dead hours. I have recruited citizens that are new to town, they come and go and part of the biggest reason they leave is they don’t get to enjoy the server to its fullest during these hours. Bustling streets cannot happen 24/7 but expedient staff can help deal with gameplay deterring minges. Slight minge-ing with your friends more during these times isn’t terrible but RDM, VDM, and cop baiting sometimes go too unchecked which negatively affect another person’s gameplay/roleplay experience. I cannot do this alone, and am not implying that if I’m accepted I’ll ban/warn every minge until the server is in a perfect state during these hours. I am applying to make the server better, one ticket at a time in a relatively fast manner. If so, why?: I have no previous bans or notes Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: * I don't think I am well known, but I have made more friends than enemies in the six months I’ve played. I've also made friends playing as characters other than my main, with different accents/roles for most of them. I strive to follow the golden rule and love silly interactions in game and freely give my name out on my oil character. This leads to a lot of people being friendly to Lane and making me feel more well known than I am. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: I loved the package event. There were some people getting arrested during it which was SUPER cringe, but IC things stayed IC and it was very respectable. The giant groups of people protecting their friends, the cars racing erratically around every 30 ish minutes, it felt very fast paced and I loved it. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Zeus, Nubs, Toast, Mangos, Yumeko, pizzle!, DopeAsRoe, Coconut ------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving Detail step by step exactly the actions you would take. Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would wait to see if someone that hasn't hit their quota takes it, and if it goes unanswered for a few minutes I would bring the person to a sit room after checking to see if they were fishing, playing blackjack, or driving and handle the ticket as usual giving punishments depending on their prior notes and rules broken. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: It depends on the abuse, if it’s moving their friends around or doing something silly during dead hours with their friends' car, I would probably laugh and watch. If they were purposely making the server unfun for someone so that their experience is being ruined, I would ensure that it was purposeful and necessary with the staff member privately before submitting a UA ticket about it. If they were doing something to gain an edge on people without staff like watching something they wouldn’t see in game and using that knowledge IC to mess with businesses, I would not hesitate to report them immediately. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: If I know the person and they have no prior notes, I may give them a note after watching a clip for proof. A kill message never tells the full story, and if after watching the clip its blatant RDM/Minge I wouldn’t hesitate to warn, make a note on them, or ban (depending on how many rules were broken). I would be open to get someone else’s opinion so that I remain unbiased in the punishment or how to handle that type of situation going forward, but it depends on the context of the RDM. ---------------------------------------------------------

When recruiting people, you might have someone train for you because you're a lazy sack of shit. Sometimes these trainings might not be done properly, yadada, and thats purely the fault of who told you to train right? But what happens in the case of people who don't get invited to the faction discord for example. Crucial step right there, because now you have an un-tracked faction member that can do whatever the fuck they want. Im yapping, heres my proposal. A faction "lock-down" option to whitelisting. Factions may choose to enable or disable this, basically it will not allow anyone to be whitelisted to your faction (staff cannot whitelist TO faction) UNLESS you have C menu recruitment permissions. This will stop the leak of random low level associates/interns from being able to just go "@ whitelist this guy" and causing problems, under the faction whitelist. Maybe I'm just a horrible faction leader idk, but I've caught a bunch of people just blatantly racket abusing recently in my faction (Brown and Sons Co.), yet I cannot do anything about it, other than just unwhitelist them and get staff to note/ban/punish etc.

-1 You cannot appeal this ban for another 4 months per the ban appeal guidelines. Not only this, after reading your appeal it is clear that you aren't actually sorry for what you did, other than the slight realization that you might have impacted other peoples gameplay with your blatant cheating, what a shocker. You literally said that you haven't changed, and are the same person you were two months ago, just older. Embarrassing you even made this appeal.

-1 Cheating in any game is pathetic, but cheating in a roleplay setting is ridiculous. The events, the standoffs, times when you're set PK active all could be ruined by a cheater on any side.

-1 as I said before “Cheating is Cheating, and it shouldn't be done in any multiplayer environment.” In your last appeal you stated that "some cheating is fine" which showed your clear intent to continue cheating on any server you see fit, including Diverge. Further more in your last appeal you stated you had used cheats on Garrys Mod for 8 years this further demonstrates your determination to use cheats on any Garrys Mod server. Again I will state "if your appeal is accepted I think a lot of players would find this extremely alarming and unfair due to the clear-cut advantage you have over all the players that don't cheat like yourself."

how about make an in game rank for faction leaders and have them be able to access /managefaction to their own faction

+1 but the faction management system in general needs an upgrade. Maybe have a menu in f1 under the business tab that lets you manage your whitelist as a fac lead. maybe have different positions on your whitelist that have different permissions, access to certain racket items (guns, drugs, etc.)

-1 you say that ESP added to your RP positively but dont see how it could negatively effect another player also didn't wait the 6 month period on appeals. May i add player was constantly annoying to other goverment bodies while his time as DA and Assistant AG trying to speed up processes he's already been told to wait on. When reading the rules cheating is one of if not the first rule if you truly miss the server you shouldn't have broken that rule in the first place.

+1 He returned, and I'm hoping you give this man another chance. He isn't a a malicious guy. I think pendred told him he can appeal in a couple of month. Hoping this this time frame was enough to wait. He does wanna come back. We are all mortal, and we don't have a long life span. He is a good guy. He has put more hours and was a staff member. Let's not deny this guy. There's been countless of good things that outweigh this once time offense. Let's be professional on this appeal.

Why should you be unbanned? It has almost been 2 months since my original appeal. The issue is, not a ton has changed. For those who are reading this and are unaware, I was caught with ESP while playing the server. I have my own feelings about how detrimental to the RP experience my actions specifically were, but I won’t contest the idea that generally cheating in any capacity is a negative thing and shouldn’t be tolerated by server management. Either way, I am still the same person just 2 months older. As for why i’m deciding to re-appeal, I can’t say. I think some reasons are more obvious. This server is one of the more enjoyable experiences in the gmod roleplay world and I dedicated a lot of time to it and enjoyed taking part in the various systems. Other than that, I don’t have any profound reason for wanting to return. I enjoyed the experience, being banned sucks but I get it, I would like the chance to come back. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, I no longer have the cheats. I do use rudimentary trainers on games like NMS and MHW but anything which would resemble the stuff I was using is gone. No way to prove that, but it’s the truth. Laptop has been reset since the incident, never reinstalled the injector so it wouldn’t be a concern if I were allowed to return. All that to say, I admit I fucked up. I’m not expecting anything, but I’m generally not a malicious guy and would like the opportunity to hang out in the city again.
