  1. Past hour
  2. You saw him while participating in an event in plain clothes and radioed it in. Another officer responded to the scene. Andy attempted to kill that officer, and you, who were behind him, shot and killed him with a MUSKET. You then switched to your staff character to PK him. Your profile picture doesn't surprise me at all. I got removed because I set someone from my faction active and sat in a bench for 20 minutes and this dude kills the guy pulls him into a sit to PK himself with no second opinion or other staff, straight up bs. It can be seen that there was 3 admins on their staff characters at the time of this PK. @Akira Make a staff report and contact commish for fail corruption.
  3. I've never interacted with you but you seem to be a nice guy. +1
  4. +1 You won't find someone much smarter, calm headed and professional on Diverge. It's unfortunate that his time away was right when he got staff, he surely has another try to reach the moon. Best of luck with your application
  5. Today
  6. If the knowledge of the RP(Akira messing with the body) was gained incorrectly(Sergeant in plainclothes, participating in an event) I think the PK should also be invalidated since the RP isn't valid. Seems to me that, since Monaclu was in plain clothes and participating in an event, he was off-duty. The fact that he stumbled upon Akira doing what he was doing doesn't give him the right to actively participate in the scene. You could go as far and argue that reporting the scene was already beyond what the rules allow, but directly participating while off duty is definitely against the rules and should invalidate the whole RP.
  7. +1 He was a good staff member back then and I'm pretty sure he'll be a good one again
  8. "it's a handicap" isn't a valid excuse when you're an on duty police officer. You had plenty of time to change into your proper uniform, grab your assigned weapon from the PD locker, and investigate. You already knew i had picked up shell casings and that the body had been burned by somebody else. That alone was enough to pursue a warrant especially if CCTV existed. By that logic any officer could use any weapon they found simply because it was in their possession. That's not how police equipment works. Officers are expected to use department issued weapons, not whatever they happen to have. The biggest issue is that you were on duty without wearing the proper uniform?? If you wanted to participate in the event you could have gone off duty or switched to another character. Instead you tried to do both at once by acting as a police officer while participating in the event without a proper uniform as a Sergeant. You were a Sergeant dressed like an off duty officer while searching for a murder suspect giving callouts and using a police cruiser. If you were a detective it would be different but as a Sergeant that isn't realistic and if I'm not mistaken goes against NYPD standards. From a criminal's perspective, they're looking out for officers in uniform. If your goal was to blend in you could have simply gone off duty or used another character. The only reason the PK happened was because an on duty officer was conducting police activity without being properly dressed. The only impression this gives me is that you wanted to stay on your police character to participate in the event while still benefiting from spawning with police equipment and body armor. That's only my assumption but that's how it comes across
  9. To add to it, might as well make food expire. Limiting how long food lasts can add to restaurant RP. Perhaps the older the food the less hunger it fills to the point it's spoilt and doesn’t fill any.
  10. Hello, I was the staff member that handled your PK. The reason for your pk is that you died while raiding the little Israel apartments. Your retroactive PK happened about an hour and a half after the raid and by that time you had logged off.
  11. Your appeal has been reviewed and accepted. Your character has been reinstated and can be used again.
  12. the problem is he hasn't been washed himself in a long time that nigga needs a shower hot damn
  13. Excellent option very good temperament very good personality +1
  14. +1 Cool fella and was also staff before
  15. +1 Previous staff and generally cool guy.
  16. In-Game Names: Taro "Mr. Red" Sugimoto, Public Defender Uros Vasic, Officer Nashoba C. Redfox Steam Name: Auxiliary Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198885641617/ Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:462687944 Discord Username: auxiliarypaper Age: 16 When did you first join the server: A little over a year ago. Total Playtime on the Server: 3w 3d 11h 50m Timezone: Eastern Standard Time (EST+0) How much time can you realistically dedicate to moderating?: 15-20+ hours every week. Have you read the rules?: I have. Do you have a working microphone?: I do, and I am willing to use it. Do you acknowledge that you must meet the weekly minimum ticket quota of 20 tickets? (Unless you have posted a valid LOA): I do. Are you familiarized with SAM and/or Nutscript commands?: I am. Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: I do. ================================================================================================================================= What is your motivation/reason for applying?: My main motivation for applying is stemmed from my previous experience of being staff on Diverge Networks. After leaving Diverge Networks for a month or two and now having been back for a little while, I've realized that I miss a lot of the responsibilities of being a staff member. From being on the staff team, I amassed a lot of knowledge of the server rules including some of the more niche/unwritten-though-enforced rules of Diverge that I can't really put to use since I'm not staff. Not only knowledge of the rules, but I greatly enjoyed the community interactions I had as a staff member that I see current staff members having, both through gamemaster events and standard enforcement of server rules. One of the stand-out features of being a staff member that I miss was dissecting the more general/vague parts of the rules and having debates in Staff Sits. The intricacy of the Diverge server rules is something that is outmatched on any other Garry's Mod server (that I've seen/read). Why should you be considered over other candidates?: I think some of my qualities that would put me above other candidates would be my knowledge of the server rules and experience as a staff member. From being staff on Diverge Networks, I have gained both knowledge and understanding of the server rules, both written and unwritten. Comparatively, to a candidate who has a lesser understanding of the rules, I would be able to handle situations more efficiently and with more accuracy in regards to my judgement. Secondly, to my experience as a staff member, I have both an understanding and a habit of handling situations involving staff members in a certain manner. Admittedly, being staff on Diverge Networks means that someone who think that you have wronged them by enforcing the rules aren't often able to listen to reason and often hurl insults and profanities when you inform them of a punishment or that they did something wrong. Having both experienced and navigated that aspect of being a staff member, I would be able to handle situations with a more calm demeanor & level head than a person who was inexperienced with staff interactions, leading to a more positive experience on both sides. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): I have had several different experiences as staff on roleplay servers across the last ~5-ish years, but my most recent and relevant instance was as a Senior Moderator on Prometheus Networks for 7-8 months & being a Moderator on Diverge Networks for 3-4 months. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I have never been banned on Diverge Networks. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?: I would say that I am decently well-known throughout Diverge, though I am most definitely not the most known. From the people I do know, I believe I have a good reputation. I am unaware of anybody that I have a poor relationship with. What is your favorite moment on Diverge so far?: I have a hard time picking out a specific moment on Diverge that is my "favorite moment", though I can say without a doubt one of my favorite experiences was the Valentine's Day Racket War a few months ago. Both the PvP coupled with strategy & playing with friends was a lot of fun and very rewarding when my faction was moved up in our racket. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: None to my knowledge. ================================================================================================================================= Someone RDM's and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: I would start off by clipping the incident with Medal to have proof of the actual RDM. After I have situated the clip and trimmed it accordingly to highlight the incident that needs reporting, I would contact a fellow member of staff, showing them the clip I had gotten as evidence and ask them for a Staff Sit with myself, the staff, and the person who RDM'd me. I would ensure that I personally did not handle the situation myself to avoid any potential bias on my part, along with a proper explanation from a third party that was not involved in the incident in the case of any refreshers of server rules or, if warranted, any punitive action being taken. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: I would ensure every time I witnessed the abuse happen, I would gather appropriate proof of the incident (screenshots, clips, audio recordings, etc.). After witnessing the abuse occur, I would attempt to message them and ask what provoked these actions and what led them to abuse. After trying to gather more information, I would let them know/remind them that their actions would be considered abuse. If the member of staff genuinely seemed ignorant to the fact that their actions were abusive, I may hold off on reporting. Otherwise, if the staff member did not seem remorseful and seemed like they knew it was abuse already, I would show the evidence I collected to a member of staff higher than the individual, most likely a member of Upper Administration. I would continually record the evidence and submit it every time I witnessed it, repeating the process. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Once I receive the ticket, I would start off as I usually would do with gathering the evidence and collecting each side's story of the situation. Considering that I would personally know this person in this situation, I would want to avoid any bias decisions or any accusations of being biased. To do this, I would contact another member of staff to get their opinion on the situation and get confirmation as to whether or not he/she thinks the claims are valid enough for punitive action. Once I've gotten a second opinion from another member of staff, I would either pass the situation off to them entirely, or proceed with punishment or lack thereof depending on the opinion given by the other member of staff. Thank you very much for your consideration of my application!
