Coups are a thing that have been happening quite often recently in Diverge. While I have never been PK'd during a coup, it seems atleast to me intensely unfair for players who have no stake, nor a side in a coup, to be PK'd before being even given a chance to pick a side. I suggest a few things for coups Elaboration on the rules. The forums are very unclear on the matter, Coup rules, atleast in my opinion, need clarity and their own section in conflict escalation or the PK guidelines, as there are many situations where during a coup a player might break a rule and invalidate a PK in the same way one might muck up a mugging by doing something wrong or get banned. Thus invalidating effort and nearly getting themself killed/banned for nothing. Things like "Reasonable doubt that a player is a couper/loyalist" should be introduced during coups, Making coup rules clearer, Not to initiate a coup. but what happens during a coup since the only real 'rules' of a coup are as follows: "● You must have more than half of your faction's high command support to overthrow your current leader. ● Once you've made your move against your don the rest of the faction may choose a side, this can plunge the faction into civil war ● The civil war ends when one side concedes or is wiped out. ● These PKs still need pre-approval [Make a SUPPORT ticket in the main discord] (THIS one is incredibly vague/not feasible, as you can't really stop and make a ticket when people are actively hunting you, or while you are actively hunting someone.)" Rank Anyone below the rank of made is made exempt from being PK'd until they have publicly picked a side with staff or their leadership (since this is the first action people typically take during a coup.) or have stayed totally neutral (exempting them from PKing, or being PK'd by their family), They're Associates and as such don't have a stake in faction leadership (Same rules as leaving the family in PK rules. ) and it'd be unfair to an associate of a faction to be PK'd out of a faction due to something they had no say, nor control over. ● If they have left the gang/family without approval from the leader, while holding the position of made man+ (or appropriate equivalent), they may be subject to a PK. Entry level associates who are not made or deeply committed to the organization may leave without harm as their position is low and they know very little. (Security, waiters, doormen, drivers, etc) <You will be asked to provide evidence of rank> This does not apply if they have partaken in felony criminal actions, drug manufacturing/murder/robbery/etc that are directly related to your faction. (However these actions must be verified). Generally under most don's orders. Racket Racket should be closed during Coups, simply due to the connections that ICLY supply you not wanting to be involved, similar to wars, Etc. Coups are potentially largescale and or have massive backings, even by other factions, they should be supplying you instead of your racket. Simply for RP purposes if not for making it so coups are a last resort. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

It's funny because even though Howie is known as a minge he has more server and rule knowledge than 99% of players btw. And unironically has more IQ than most players too. +1 from me. My king.

Name of Character: Octavian Santoro Character ID: I don't know it, I'm locked out of the char, and I was gone for a while. SteamID: 76561197995136786 Your Discord ID#: 663886301602381824 Date of PK: 07/03/2026 Reason for PK: Unsure I was returning from a LOA to a civil war, did not pick a side, and was unaware of everything going on. Why should you be unPK'd? What server rule or PK rule was violated?: The PK was not role played. I was just walking, and then I was dead, I was in a room alone. If possible please provide video evidence or photo evidence if PK does not follow the guidelines:

Hey, I was the staff member who accepted the PK. So in this situation you refused to follow fearRP as you didn't comply with their demands to follow them into the alleyway when they had 3 guns on you. You had turned around and acknowledged the man behind you pointing a gun at you and still decided it was the best decision to become a deer in headlights and stare at the man and not do anything at all. Now what is iffy is the police situation. During the sit I had requested the POV from Psykho but for whatever reason I received no response. From the clip I was provided it was completely valid because you were in a yellow zone and they were attempting to drag you into a red. If we're speaking realistically Psykho wouldn't have the vision he had whilst he was third person in the vehicle and if he was first person he would have low visibility of the situation. during the sit I attempted to cover all bases but with the evidence I was provided it ended up being a PK, I had also asked for a second opinion from a Senior Admin and they had also agreed it was a PK on your behalf for not complying. Good luck on the appeal but as of now I see it as a valid situation

+1 Good guy overall as a staff i could see him being fair because even within my personal connection to him he has been unbiased to me, during his time in the same factions with me he punished me the same as everyone else. either way it would be nice to have more staff given his IC RP which he rarely breaks i see him ensuring complete RP and not just random shit lol.

Most of my experiences with you are chasing you down but you're one of the least toxic frequent flyers being snatched up by the PD. While your record isn't perfect, you do have a good temperament and high activity which could be a valuable addition to staff. +1

Hi Dutch, indeed, Significant improvement since last time - Bedankt!

I'm sorry. You're an awesome dude, but you break many rules, and you yourself know that you make a new character very frequently due to cop PK's. -1 not a strong one, because it seems some others do in fact believe he can be staff. Judge Carbon Mason is one the best judges, if not the best in character, so maybe it's possible you can be good at staff.

Notes and bans aside (who cares anyway), dude knows all of the rules word for word, and isn’t an egotist. Good pick for staff. Excellent fella.

Hi Howie, You have 40 notes and 18 bans. You have spend around 105% of your total playtime by being banned... best of luck however!

+1 A lot of people are going to sit here and say "minge this" or "minge that," or claim he's broken the rules so many times that he's no longer capable of the role. The fact of the matter is, he likes having too much fun sometimes and has a history of doing silly, stupid things. However, if you actually sit down with him and ask the important questions about staying impartial, being patient, and not letting your emotions get in the way he can articulate those values clearly. He understands them, and he knows how to help other players apply them. He's not a perfect person (none of us are), but the fact that he's been on this server for so long, has broken rules in the past, yet consistently takes accountability says volumes. He's someone who genuinely cares and wants to help others learn the ropes easier than he had to. That's something to admire. If you don't believe me, take the time to talk to him yourself and look at his actions. He cares deeply about RP and is focused on making it fun for everyone involved. At the end of the day, that's what staff is truly about.
