We should bring conflicts back IN the server.

I get it, factions hate each other for their own reasons. There's no way, and there shouldn't be a way, to prevent people from having their opinions right?
The problem is that we've taken the hate outside of the RP. Nowadays the extent of Conflicts in the RP is shitposting on rumours. The extent of Conflicts outside the RP is people making cop characters to bring down the factions they don't like, people applying for staff only to help out their factions, targeted muggings just for the pk etc. 
We have such a good opportunity to use whatever feelings we have for another faction in RP but with the state of the server right now, when it comes to RP, factions just pretend that the others don't exist most of the time, and when they are in the same room it's just retarded Non-coherence. All RP goes out the door as slurs and modern slang fly from one side to the other.

I guess I just miss how the server used to be.

Conflict is heavily limited by UA to my understanding for one thing

Otherwise I think a lot of players and factions as a whole treat some things as OOC or just choose to ignore them, when they have full right to treat it as IC disrespect and utilise sitdowns and whatnot

Conflict is a good thing for a Mafia Roleplay Server idk why the majority of people shy away from it

I mean, there's nothing stopping you from having conflict RP with another faction other than your own limitations. You have some drama with another factions? send some dudes down to their business and cause trouble. Drive by and shoot at the building / windows, making escalations get more heated to initiate sit downs etc.

I never did that gay shit. That’s why I keep advocating for more gang factions. I would constantly terrorize the Colombo’s at their bar on my gang character. The gang factions don’t last long but they are constantly getting into real RP conflicts and eventually get into wars.

First off, I agree with conflict on the server. It creates more RP with high commands, and get factions involved in strategy and teamwork.

 

However, the last war was god awful when it came to actually participating in it. There was 0 clarification on the point system, both sides just camped majority of their individuals in properties, and there was no real loss to either side other than a small sum of money. Conflicts have been proven to be headaches, have little reward, and pointless since the RP now is so poor. Imo, getting rid of UA partaking in conflicts, reimplementing the PK last man standing war system, and removing these mega alliances would be the only way of fixing it.

Callaghan's conflict with SOS got voided because we shot up their property mid conflict btw... using the "y'all are just being wimps" argument is crazy invalid because UA will literally put a stop to any action outside of the conflict rules and punish the faction that is actually roleplaying.

Mega alliance’s have ruined the server. Until they are fixed not the bandaid that is “5 factions per alliance” which we know does nothing. Make wars just temporary PK we seen the last time a war happened player count did not drop by much if anything it prevented it. Have the winning side win either a Racket, property, cash (10-50) million all depending on how sided the war is the winning side only gets one. If another war happens I hope to god it’s not a copy of a racket event. Small wars could happen if once again the alliance stuff is fixed.
