  1. At first, I thought this was going to be the shittiest racket event of all time with it just being a rdm fest with no roleplay. I was completely wrong, compared to the weed event, this event has brought about more rp situations in two hours than over the course of the entire weed event. I think we should keep the current system in place for even after the competition ends as just a risky way of making income. While some could argue this system is just dark rp simulator having a guy be kos, but the roleplay scenarios that have gone about between allies, enemies, and random ass people has shown it deserves to stay. -- Mards (EDIT: obviously I would adjust the spawn times)

Hi Juju, this is Mards from the gcf you were killed because you didn't pay kickup for over a year. Best wishes - Mards
  5. +1 yes great awesome staff member wow fantastic
  6. I can link you a server and show you how theirs works but it would be advertising tldr commands dont pop up over your head so speaking in languages, radio, advertisements, etc wouldn't pop up also there is a character limit for what can go above your head. Also, it does not stack so you can't flood your overhead messages.

  8. RuneScape Chat Messages · gmodstore A lot easier to tell who typed something when you are dealing with unknowns and generic descriptions.
  9. Section 1 Updates to Alliance and Agreements Alliances are limited to a maximum of 5 factions. (Mega alliances may not team up together, defeats the point of the limit) (This limit includes districts, a district is regarded as an ally, a vassal you own, but an ally nonetheless) This will increase amount of diplomacy Roleplay and prevent the server from splitting into two massive alliances (Boring!) [Added benefit of reducing number of puppet factions] This rule is not followed either enforce the rule more thoroughly or change it back. All this rule created was proxy factions agree or disagree that's how it is currently. Reasons for Conflict: Extortion Extortion or attempted extortion could be a reason to cause conflict. The two factions would have to meet and reach a suitable business agreement to maintain the peace. For example if one group wants to control a certain aspect of storefronts within their territory they may put pressure on another faction for 50% of their profits, and after some escalation and sit down negotiations a deal of 20% in exchange for security is made. I've firsthand seen a faction attempt to extort another faction for impeding on their racket which UA denied. Either remove this reason for escalation, rename it to impeding on said faction's business, or allow factions to extort other factions for stepping on their racket without the need for a mutually agreed contract beforehand. In the mafia the bigger group is going to try to tax the smaller mafia for cutting out a piece of their income IE illegal gambling, selling drugs at a certain location, etc. Another thing is the term "within their territory" there is no definition of territory found anywhere in the rules or conflicts. Assuming it refers to the faction's business fronts you could just get around this by doing it right outside their property. Either define territory or change it to business fronts. Section 2: Sit-downs and meetings Not every sit down needs to be logged to UA, while UA is going to hate this change its ridiculous having to record and make a ticket for every sit down that occurs between factions especially internally within alliances. Most sit downs get resolved by the first meeting and making a ticket for every single one is aids and no one does it. To better balance this, sit-downs that require a UA ticket should only occur after the first sit down fails and further negotiation is needed. UA should not mediate sit downs, this is just fail rp. Why would some random guy act as the mediator between two dons of criminal families. I understand the practicality of the rule and how it makes UA's job a lot easier managing conflicts but end of the day there needs to be a separation of staff and rp and when you mix the two it ruins the roleplay. Complete immersion break tldr, if both factions can't agree on a mediator, then there shouldn't be one. I propose that there should be three distinct different types of sit downs that can occur. 1. Internal (factions inside the alliance) 2. External (factions outside of the alliance) and 3. Full Scale (Between whole alliances.) Section 3: New Escalation Tiers Level 1: The first sit-down Provided the transgression is minor and both faction leaders are good at what they do then most conflicts will not escalate past this point. Both factions will have met and discussed the issue and outlined an agreement to resolve the problem. Should they fail to do so they should make a UA ticket and find a mediator. The first sit down must be recorded in order to move to Level 2. Level 2: The simmer (2nd sit-down) The second sit down will occur with an agreed upon mediator to help hash out the facts of the case and both factions will have support tickets open with UA so they may submit any relevant evidence and keep management up to date on the status of the conflict. During the time between the first meeting to the second the two factions may put their business with the opposing faction on pause, halting trades and other events or niceties until the situation is resolved. 95% of conflicts should be resolved by the second sit down unless the issue is so atrocious that proper settlement terms cannot be reached. Level 3: Boiling point (3rd sit-down) A failure of the second meeting is the boiling point and by now bad blood has likely formed, small breakouts of violence are likely to occur, bar fights, obscenities maybe even some road rage or the occasional out of territory mugging. After the third sit-down and no resolution is found the escalation is moved up to Level 4. Level 4: Brothers Spat (4th sit-down) At this level target mugging (on your main characters…) the opposing faction is fair game and barring rivals from your establishments is expected. Loitering or graffiti may also become commonplace but tolerating loitering is also less practiced. Both sides will seek to annoy and harass the other to the dismay of both the police and your suppliers. While this stage of escalation allows you to openly harass the opposing faction it also strains your business, as your suppliers don’t want the extra heat your shipment arrival times and shipment costs increase 25%. Business is impacted. Level 5: Wave of Violence (5th sit-down) At this level the violence is palpable. Shootings of properties and businesses may become commonplace and will not be considered a raid. Shipment arrival times and shipment costs increase by 50% of the original amounts. More attention from police means your suppliers may request cash or certain amounts of drugs / weapons as payment in order to keep operating, failure to meet these payments could see additional vendor penalties apply and possibly have your faction lose access to selling certain drugs. Individuals responsible for the initial cause of the conflict can have hits (PKs) placed against them. (For instance if the conflict stemmed from a certain member target mugging and the offending faction had refused to hand him over. Seek UA approval for these hits.) Level 6: Defcon 2 This level can be reached if more than 5 sit-downs have occurred and failed. At this level you are basically a few days if not less from hitting the mattresses, your suppliers disappear seeking to wait the impending conflict out. At this level you may firebomb the rival properties to put them out of commission and cause significant financial harm as well as openly target one member of their high command for a PK hit. Level 7: War Level 7 is war. You know how war goes. Your factions are fully blocked from selling drugs to any NPC as the sellers aim to not choose sides. War lasts until one side falters or until an agreed win condition must be met. UA has final say if war is approved or not and can end it at any time. The things I changed - Every escalation level represents a sit down up until 5. Both factions have 5 chances to resolve the conflict before it escalates to violence. - Removed the Level 0, needing approval from UA for every instance of conflict resolution is a waste of time, 99% of conflicts are resolved are resolved by the first sit down and you should not need UA involvement until it moves up a level where an initial resolution could not be found. Section 4: Taxation/Compensation Changes Remove the max escalation level for all of the offenses. Any and all offenses can move towards conflict if neither side eventually comes to a resolution. Bad blood simply doesn't stop because the conflict has a max escalation tier. This just makes the escalation system put an absolute stop on the possibility of real conflict, if both sides can't agree on a resolution, then conflict is inevitable not based on what max escalation level the offense was. The tax amounts should stay and are a good reference for how much you should tax someone for an offense.

  12. That was me in that clip you posted. I honestly had no idea this even happened. When I joined SOS last year i got recruited by a skinny black chick hence my reference to her I did not even know of your existence. I apologize for how this looks I know how unreasonable the coincidence sounds and I swear to you all I had nothing to do with this pk. Also if i did have involvement I 100% wouldn’t be flaunting about it at your door. I was just curious why the place got raided and I was making some jokes with some friends. EDIT: The Woman I was referring to in that clip was Kiesha McCole I’m sorry for your loss
  13. It would take money out of the economy and a lot of people would pay for this. Yeah, it's kind of fail roleplay changing your ethnicity/age but people already make donation tickets for it and I think for the sake of the game I think it's a needed mechanic.
  14. Had an issue yesterday where multiple cops surrounded the door at my property and illegally door kicked it. Due to there not being a /me in the chat I am unable to identify in character who kicked my door down. This led me to having to call staff to figure it out. Please fix this if possible. Thank you -- Daviss
  15. What is your faction command experience? How are those factions you had leadership roles in holding up today? So far from what I have seen it does not look like you really have the experience to run a faction that would last longer than a month -1
  16. you unironically have an anime profile picture virgin
  17. I admit where I was wrong, I was just caught up having a funny moment with some friends and it got a little out of hand. I never meant to actually vdm anyone and I didn’t think i had no intention to rp as I was trying to play my “character” in a sort of funny way. But I can assure you I won’t ever do something like this again. Also I don’t have a clip but a couple of those people I “ran over” was from a black car chasing me pushing me into them
  18. Your Character or Steam Name: Daviss Your SteamID (Click to retrieve): STEAM_0:1:62247713 Your Discord ID#: davis3 Reason for ban: MVDM | NITRP Length of ban: 4 Days Reason for appeal (dispute/apology): Apology Why should you be unbanned? In my two years of playing Diverge Networks, I have never been banned till now. I think everyone has made mistakes on the server and I was under the false impression of this situation being a no harm no foul. I never intended to kill anyone just take them on a little joyride in the bed of my truck. I never mugged, restrained, or truly attempted to kill anyone. It was mainly my friend and I just joking around trying to mess with our friends on other characters to create some funny rp scenarios. Obviously, things got out of hand where we messed with some randoms, and it got taken a little too far. I won't ever do this again and I apologize to anyone whose roleplay experience I ruined. 19. Preface This guide may contain heavy gambino bias and some of the facts and information may differ depending on which Italian faction you join. This guide will serve as my basis for the standard of Italian mafioso roleplay. Character DO NOT be the ambitious Italian guy who will do anything to get made. Thats like 99% of people shits overdone and ass. The first thing you should be developing when getting into any character is the why you do what you do and what led you to live in this life of ours. tldr be unique in your character and have things about you that differentiate you from the rest of your organization so your not all carbon copies. Expectations The whole idea of a mafioso is having honor among thieves. While this level of respect exists, keep in mind you are still a criminal, and you will do what's in your best interest to succeed. When you join a family your life is in your don's hands, and you follow your families' rules knowing the consequences could be an early vacation. You are also expected to be an upstanding member of your crew doing tasks such as, crew deals, recruitment, running properties and protecting the lives of any made man. Little Italy This area of the map is your turf (most of you probably have an apartment on that street), you spend most of your time here and will protect that street from any chaos that runs into it. The properties your family owns are typically on this street making it the hub of most Italian rp. When strolling through little Italy you represent your organization so wearing clown outfits or non-roleplay friendly clothing items, acting special needs, causing issues for no reason, or anything that may cause people to look at you and lose brain cells is a good way to get ostracized by your respective family. Structure (Up to many different interpretations so take it with a grain of salt) Associate At this point you are fresh into the family. Associates are trusted very little and stuck with the shitty tasks that carry little risk to the organization. This step is where first impressions are made and will set the level of expectations moving forward. This is also typically the stage where the family decides if you belong with them or not and if the latter occurs your organization may send you on a permanent vacation back to Italy. Senior Associate This stage is where they have decided that you belong in the organization but aren't sure if they can trust you to take up more responsibility and embody the ideals of the family in your daily actions. This rank marks the turning point in your career where you will have to put your loyalty to the ultimate test. This test differs from family to family but it all shares one common feature that will determine if you reach the next position or not. Made Man You are now officially apart of the family. You cannot be harmed, disrespected, or threatened by anyone abiding by the laws set forth by the families. Being made symbolizes moving passed working for the family and now truly becoming apart of that family. This is the point in your career when you can take up your own racket and begin to make a name for yourself. A lot independence and trust is given to made men and in return their loyalty should be unquestionable. This also means that any attempt to leave the family must result in death in order to not tarnish the vows you have taken. Right Hand/Lieutenant The first true command position you can take up within the crew. You set the example for the rest of the crew and in the Caporegime's absence you assume the role of leader of your respective crew. Right Hand/Lieutenant is a thankless job, while you take up as much responsibilities as the capo you get very little credit for the work you put towards the crew. The goal of this position is if the caporegime was killed the right hand/lieutenant would take up all the duties without needing a formal transitional period. Enforcer One of the most trusted positions within the family. The enforcer is in charge of upholding the rules of the family and ensuring the health of safety of the Don and his bosses. The enforcer is in charge of setting up vacations for anyone who could pose a threat to the family. Depending on the family they may be involved in things such as espionage, shakedowns, loan sharking, etc. While the capos and other crew management act as the gears for the family the Enforcers act as the WD40 that keeps the cogs turning. Being trusted with how people take vacations is a serious job and can pose one of the biggest threats to the family as a whole. This position should not be given lightly and those who have earned this position must have a seasoned understanding of how the family operates. Caporegime The most important position within your family. The Caporegime runs a crew and ultimately runs the day to day of the family. They are in charge of a huge portion of the faction and has the important job of deciding which Associates are fit to move up and which don't fit the standard of the family. Caporegimes are also typically in charge of a property ensuring its activity and safety throughout the day. Another key thing with this position is the opportunity to handle issues within and outside of your family with sit downs. Within the families Caporegimes may meet to settle disputes or handle minor issues that could occur normally. However, outside of the families the Caporegime needs to defer his issue to his higher ups due to those organizations not following the same set of rules that are upheld within this life of ours. The caporegimes are also in charge of Kick Up commonly referred to as dues, union fees, taxes, rent, etc. The capos collect all of the kickup and receive a cut of the income every cycle to handle crew costs. The goal of the caporegime is self-sufficiency of his crew, if the capo is able to not lift a finger and still have fully functional crew than the caporegime has succeeded in his job. Street Boss The Street Boss is directly in charge of the caporegimes and their crews. They monitor recruitment, income, and quality of the crews and set goals for their capos to push toward. They also serve as the bridge between high command and crew management making sure the vision set by command is being emulated by the actions of the crews. When a caporegime is vacant and their right hand/lieutenant cannot fill their shoes, the street boss assumes the position until a new caporegime can be found. Families may have an extra position such as senior or head streetboss, these positions are typically a waste of space and are just an excuse to have more people in high command. (eat shit faggot) Consigliere This position is typically in charge of diplomacy and act as the chief advisor to the Don. While the day-to-day requirements of this position are low, it provides the flexibility to set up events between families and create mutually beneficial opportunities between them. (I am leaving out a lot of information due to how different this position is depending on which family) Underboss This position is similar to the right hand/lieutenant position but on a much bigger scale. The underboss handles the day to day of the faction to meet Don's vision for the long term. Whenever the Don is not present, the underboss assumes the position and his actions would be treated as if they came from the don himself. This position also handles most delegating of responsibilities ensuring one-man isn't doing the entire job. The Don This position sets the vision for the entire family every soul is bound to this man his decisions are absolute. The most important job of the Don is to prevent echo chambers and information silos. Ensuring the faction doesn't become an echo chamber of the same ideas is what makes or breaks a faction. Stagnation from something like an echo chamber quickly becomes decline that is extremely hard to bounce back from. To stop an echo chamber, you need to pursue new ideas and ventures and not rely on the same method completely for all actions. Secondly, preventing information silos such as surrounding yourself with yes men who are afraid of challenging the ideas of the don creates a situation where minimal brain power is achieved. You want ten heads thinking on an issue rather than 9 heads agreeing with the idea of 1. This is not and should not be a hands-on position, relying on your command is the first step to success as a Don and most failures arise at either relying too much on yourself or relying on people that aren't qualified for their position.
