Hello, the PKing admin detailed and highlighted everything regarding this PK and your concerns perfectly. If you had an issue with the officers actions you should have handled it ICly. Choosing to begin a violent confrontation on the officer to evade an arrest opens up the possibility of your character being killed. And again as for your other issues you brought up, the replying admin already responded to those in the same why I would have, no need to reiterate there.

Hello, while it is unfortunate that they may have been mistaken, that alone is not enough to overturn this PK. If your actions gave them reasonable cause to believe you were working as an undercover officer or confidential informant against their faction, they are within their rights to PK your character if they choose to do so. Ultimately, that is how the mafia operates in these situations, with decisions often being made based on suspicion rather than certainty.

Hello, firstly, it was never stated in the Don's orders that you were killed because of your race. The reasoning given was that you had expressed interest in leaving the family and had sided with the opposing faction during the coup that was taking place. While you may have genuinely been negotiating for permission to leave, this is the mafia. Deception and betrayal are part of that roleplay, and they are allowed to lie about their intentions. In this case, you approached them about leaving, they led you to believe it was possible, and ultimately decided to kill you instead. The following excerpt from the PK guidelines outlines just this: "CAUTION: This is the MAFIA, the don can LIE to you about having permission to leave, they can tell you you may leave, lowering your guard, and once you do, have you killed for leaving the faction. They have the same 2 weeks left orders timer to do so. "They gave me permission to leave but I didn't leave and they still pk'ed me" This falls under don's orders and by requesting to leave you demonstrated to the Don you are not committed to the faction, thereby giving him valid reason and suspicion to place don's orders against you."

Garry’s mod is not perfect, these client side things happen and will pretty much always happen to some degree. Unfortunately though situations like this don’t usually warrant staff intervention, including this situation. I’m sure you understand that you put yourself in this situation and understand why the outcome of your death was what it was. I see no reason to reverse this PK just because something happened slightly different on your screen.

I believe you are confusing this with staff punishment. Your character being PK’d is more or less an effect from your roleplay rather than staff punishment. Per the PK guidelines if you initiate a violent confrontation with officers you are subject to PK if you die. These guidelines are set in place to make sure your roleplay actions carry weight. Otherwise you could just shoot officers everytime they attempt to arrest you, effectively avoiding all charges While it is unfortunate you are unaware of this is something we don’t give second chances for, as it’s not staff punishment per se. I strongly recommend you read the guidelines surrounding PKs to familiarize yourself so you do not have to go through this again, or at least understand what could come from your actions.

The reason why the character was PK'd was not due to the fault of the staff member or the coding of the PK system. The guy that had shot and killed him was also active to the faction the character was in, resulting in the immediate and automatic permanent kill. Though, based off of the clips provided this strongly seems like a case of possible RDM. And more importantly blatant metagaming in the clip.
