What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: My favorite moments are definitely roleplaying with the boys at SoS. What do you do?: Gather the evidence and report them to higher administration. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Do you acknowledge that lying on this application will result in immediate denial and blacklisting from staff?: Yes ------------------------------------------------- What is your motivation/reason for applying?:* I think the main reason I’m applying just comes down to how much time I’ve actually put into Diverge. Since I joined on January 7th I’ve put over 500 hours into my main character, so I’m on pretty consistently and I’ve seen a lot of different situations play out. After a while it just feels like I should be doing more than just roleplaying and actually helping out on the staff side too. I’ve seen situations where staff handled things really well and it kept everything calm, and I’ve also seen situations go the opposite way and turn into OOC arguments. That’s probably the biggest reason I want to apply, because I’d rather be someone who helps keep things fair and under control instead of letting it get messy. I didn’t apply earlier because I didn’t want to rush into it without actually understanding how the server works. I wanted to spend time playing, see how rules are used in real situations, and get a better feel for the community first. At this point I feel like I have that, and I think I could be useful as staff. Why should you be considered over other candidates?:* I wouldn’t say I should be chosen over everyone else, but I do think I bring a good mix of experience and understanding of how the server works. I’ve spent a lot of time on Diverge across different situations, so I’ve seen how roleplay can go right and also how it can go wrong, which helps when it comes to understanding context instead of just looking at things at face value. I also take rules seriously, not just in a technical sense but in how they’re meant to be applied. A lot of situations aren’t just black and white, so being able to stay fair, look at both sides, and not let bias get in the way is something I think is important, and something I try to do. At the end of the day, I’d just try to handle things properly and consistently. I’m active, I understand the server, and I’d approach staff situations with a level head rather than jumping to conclusions or escalating things further. Do you have any previous staffing experience? (Please list where, what position and how long): Yes, I’ve had some moderation experience in other online communities. It wasn’t anything super formal, but I was dealing with reports, helping resolve issues between players, and making sure rules were followed. Even though it’s a different platform, it still taught me a lot about staying fair, not jumping to conclusions, and just handling situations calmly instead of letting things escalate. I wouldn’t say I’m super experienced, but I’m definitely not going into this completely blind either. Have you been banned before on any of our servers? If so, why?: I haven’t been banned on any of your servers. Would you say that you are well known in our community, what's your reputation, what do other members think of you?:* I’d say I’m pretty well known just from being active and involved in a lot of different situations around the server. I’ve interacted with a lot of different people and groups, so I’m not really stuck in one circle, which helped me get a better feel for the community overall. As for my reputation, I think most people see me as someone who takes roleplay seriously and doesn’t try to turn everything into an OOC issue. I usually try to keep things in character and handle situations properly instead of escalating them. I think that’s something that would carry over well into a staff position. What is your favourite moment on Diverge so far?: One of my favorite moments was the recent racket event where different factions had to compete for packages and targets. It was super chaotic, but in a good way, and it felt like everyone was fully engaged in the RP. It stood out to me because it brought a lot of people together and created a lot of interaction across different groups instead of everyone just staying in their own lanes. Events like that are what make the server feel active and fun. I’d definitely like to help be part of something like that in the future, whether it’s assisting or helping host it. Have any staff members recommended you? If so, list their names: Winchester, Crocie, Sips, Toasty ------------------------------------------------- Someone RDMs and you are currently off-duty. How do you handle this?: If I’m off-duty and I witness it, I’d clip or record what happened so there’s clear evidence. After that, I’d either make a ticket or let on-duty staff know so someone who’s currently handling sits can deal with it. If a ticket is already up, I’d send whatever evidence I have to the staff member handling it and explain what I saw. I wouldn’t take the sit myself since I was directly involved as a witness. If no staff are available at all, I’d go on-duty to make sure the situation doesn’t get ignored, but I’d still try to keep my involvement minimal and base everything on evidence and logs rather than just my own perspective. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: If I noticed something like that, I wouldn’t jump straight to accusing them. I’d pay attention first and make sure I actually have clear examples of what’s happening, whether that’s clips or anything that shows a pattern instead of just one situation. Once I’m sure there’s actually an issue, I’d bring it up privately to a higher staff member or upper administration and show them what I’ve got. I wouldn’t call it out publicly or try to handle it myself, since stuff like that should be dealt with properly and through the right people. At the end of the day, staff should be held to the same standard as everyone else. If there’s a pattern of abuse, it should be looked into, just in a calm and professional way. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: Yes, it does count as possible bias, so the first thing I’d do is avoid taking the sit if another staff member is available. I’d let someone else handle it so it stays completely fair for both sides. If I was the only staff online and had to deal with it, I’d ignore the fact that I know them and just go off evidence. I’d get both sides, check clips or logs, and treat it like any other ticket. Just because they don’t usually act like that doesn’t mean they couldn’t have broken a rule in that situation. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t let my relationship with them affect the outcome. If they broke a rule, they’d be punished the same as anyone else.7 points

Its been some time since I've been banned and I didn't have that much hours on the server and I didn't read any of the rules before I started playing. I tried to evade my ban by going onto another account which was against the rules and if I had read the rules I would have known so. I miss playing on the server with my friends and having fun. I've read the rules since I've been banned and if i were given another chance I would follow all of them and be a good example for other players. I regret my actions and have learnt from them, if I were given a second chance I would follow all of the rules and be as good of a member of the community as I can be and try to be an inspiration and example for other players. I think the server could greatly improve immersion by expanding the available roleplay animations. Instead of needing to create entirely new animations from scratch, it might be worth looking into pulling animation data from frameworks like Clockwork HL2RP or similar Source RP schemas that already have large animation libraries built out. A lot of these frameworks already support things like: Smoking animations. Wall leaning. Notebook writing. Radio use. Searching/patdowns. Injured idles. Sitting variations. Hand interactions. (handover/receive) Investigation poses. Since these already exist within the Source animation sets, it may just be a matter of integrating or porting the animation tables rather than creating entirely new ones. This could save development time while still expanding RP expression. Why this would help: Right now most interactions are just characters standing still during conversations. More available animations would allow players to show emotion, status, and intent through body language instead of only text. This would especially benefit: Mafia meetings. Police investigations. Business RP. Interrogations. Street interactions. This could allow Diverge to quickly expand RP immersion without major development overhead. The goal wouldn't be feature bloat, just giving players more tools to visually roleplay and make interactions feel more alive. Hello, Once upon a time we removed the ability for properties to have food registers, in place of that we set up Shipment NPCs where people could order in food items (in bulk obviously), and then transport them to the property, and store them for selling to people. At the time, this was somewhat unpopular due to a few issues. Such as: - Storage entities were frequently being wiped, which would mean people would spend many hours organizing stock and arranging deliveries, just for it to be wasted. This is no longer an issue as storages permanently persist. - Having to have millions of storage lockers to store them in, making it difficult to effectively organize. - Lazyness. But this is a task that should be delegated to lower ranking members. - The old shipment system had dogshit configuration, so you couldn't order multiple at once. - Whatever else, it was years ago I don't remember. So we eventually reintroduced property vendors, but with a limit of 15 items. Today, I was reminded that we once had this system. Thinking about it, I realize that its reintroduction would come with many benefits, such as. - Not having to rely on me or Canadian to get on and change vendors when you want something changed. Which is a lengthy process, getting approval from FL, making the UA ticket then waiting for us to change it. - Being able to sell a wide range of food and drink items, instead of being limited to 15 pre-selected options. - Boost of available roleplay - new hires can be assigned as delivery boys, restaurants will have to organize their stock and have dedicated people managing it, ensuring supplies stay available, and much much more. We would make the following changes with this: - We would create a new type of storage item, that has a much larger inventory space, but in return it would only be able to store food items. Thus resolving the issue of having to have 100 storage items. - We would update the Shipment NPC UI to have organized categories so it isn't all cluttered together (like it is now). There would be tabs, nice and organized. - Shipment timing for food would also NOT be the same as drugs/guns. They would spawn immediately for collection. So I wanted to see what you all think - would this be something you'd like to see? I cannot see any real downsides to this, other than lazyness / not wanting to RP. But maybe there are some - so by all means let me know if there are. Or perhaps there are other things that would need to be done alongside what I have proposed. I've been asked to take my comment on the outstanding post and publish my own thread regarding this topic, enjoy the read Think about it, Take the average player who joins MafiaRP. They go through life trying to dodge police interactions because they know that could lead to a slippery slope resulting in a Felony which limits them severely, and oh God, everyone's avoiding that looming PK sentence. The average player is evading the police awhile navigating years of interrelated MafiaRP politics where he is walking on eggshells trying to climb the ladder of Diverge. Doing so involves participating in activities that could very well get him killed such as events like this past weekend. So he stays in line, doing whatever he is told to do and not stepping out of line. If he wants the capability to even challenge someone? He needs to grind at least 2 hours to acquire enough money to buy his first gun, losing it on each death that may or may not be compensated for RDM. Grinding and grinding for the other luxuries in life. **THAT** is how a criminal prevents himself from being PK'ed -> Keeping his head down, and grinding. A cop? Gets recruited as a cadet, has to go through training that is immediately overridden by the "status quo" of the bad habits of current street cops who often tip toe the line and sometimes might "push the envelope" of police conduct. Those are the ranks he's being raised in, fearing no evil, no threat of the end of his life. Police are living life on easy mode, like a doe that has yet to leave their mother. The police don't need to grind, they have no incentive to grind. They have one purpose -> spin the perpetual door of LegalRP. "Hook them and book them." I suggest the following: Make a couple PK rules prohibiting the occasional event of a police officer steps out of line, like a criminal does, which results in a PK.1 point

+1 Yeah, he might be messed up but it looks like he actually learned from it and regrets it. i think he deserves another shot. most of the people who get perma ban dont even bother coming back, but the fact he is opening tickets and trying this hard shows he gets what he did wrong and probably won’t do it again. I dont know him at all, but I got banned for the same mistake before, so I’d say give him another chance to prove himself.0 points
