Length: Perm Reason For Appeal: I miss the simplicity of playing diverge with my friends drama free and I would also like to take accountability for my part and clear a few things up. I am Nigasaki/Money Printer/ Unc Oji/ Felonius whatever aliias you know me by. I was the community manager for Golden Coast Studios and here is essentially what happened from my perspective from start to finish. Me, Superhero, and sushiyama had been Gmod friends for a long time and we all came together and decided we wanted to know what its like to develop/run a RP server the original goal was actually Five M but we realized that was to unrealistic for a first project so we chose gmod to use as a test plus our friends who had weaker computer could play and test with us. gmod was never intended to be our permanent main focus, we weren't after a cult following and had all agreed we are not aiming to be a diverge killer or start problems with Diverge Networks AT FIRST. But as time went on and development continued Hero started Schizoing out as we realized. Claiming diverges staff was trashing us, talking about our personal lives, threatening to dox us PENDRED THIS, PENDRED THAT, and not realizing yet that this dude is a fucking chronic liar believed him and fed into the beef which i admit i was wrong and in retrospect i should not have stepped in or stood up for that retard. time goes on even more and this fucking idiot just lies lies lies oh I'm doing this oh I'm doing that lying about all these girls he talks to we got fed up with his bullshit got so out of hand as High staff we decided to keep this fucking idiot out of the spotlight. Later found out he wasn't even paying our developer which means there was times he'd ask for money and it wasn't going to the server and when we confronted him about it his response i shit you not is to get angry call me and sushi the N word over and over again, call us brokies, flex how "rich" he is crashout leave the team come here make an appeal and claim Sushiyama and I "groomed him" which is a fucking crazy thing to say this dude claims to be 27 years old but looks about 2 years younger than my grandma and flexes on the internet about how cool he is and im just some dude who was barely 20 at the time who had a passion for video games in his freetime. With hero gone and the drama finally over we decided it was time to pull the plug on golden coast it would never be worth the headache it gave me I admit i wasn't right at the time either as I fed into drama but after seeing his appeal I felt obligated to make this because what the FUCK. I aknowledge my part in it and that I wasn't right for my part in it and since hero take some accountability ill do it on his behalf to because this shit is ridiculous. What server rule or PK rule was violated?: After reviewing the cops clip I was shot first and with poor escalation. All the cops involved were also killed. He was already pointing his gun at me when I was no threat to anyone around me. In the rules it states, "You MUST follow NLR after every death. You will not remember anything from the last 15 minutes before your last death in RP. Nor can you return to the same RP situation. You are not actually dead unless it's a PK and are otherwise put in the hospital and will recover." If this applies to everybody why is it okay to pk me when they died right after? How would they remember killing me? In the cops clip I didn't shoot at the cop, it shows he shot first so therefore he started the violent confrontation. It felt as if he wanted to pk me. He was holding his gun out of safety for no reason and was pointing at me. In one of the clips attached he was saying a lot of weird stuff about me after he killed me. What do you do?:Same thing clip it and show higher up staff. Make sure i have all the evidence i need and make sure im good on my side of things. Also i would make sure i dont have 1 or 2 clips of it i would want to have atleast 4-5 clips just to extra make sure things are good. Since then I have been High Command in 3 different factions with a wide variety of relationships with the other factions of the server. These relationships with other factions include being at war, being a district and helping lead and manage alliances. Because of this I'd say I have become very well known in the community in a large variety of circles across alliances, friend groups and individual factions. Additionally throughout all of this I believe I have gone without having any major OOC issues with anyone and have pushed RP as much as possible. How do you handle this?: If I witnessed the situation, I would start by taking a clip before reaching out in staff chat to inform an on duty member of the team of the situation. If a ticket had already been made/taken, I'd send the staff member dealing with the situation my clip and attempt to give any information on the situation. I would only take the ticket if I was the only staff member online and had not been involved with the situation. You have seen a fellow staff member of higher or equal rank than you abusing fairly often, but never doing anything too noticeable. What do you do?: Take clips/screenshots over time to build proof and bring it to Upper Administration. A member of your faction / friend of yours has a ticket made against them accusing them of RDM’ing, and minging. You know that this person rarely does this when you play with him. How do you proceed knowing this? Does it constitute possible bias?: I would first avoid taking the ticket and make staff chat aware that I was avoiding taking it. If I was the only staff member available to take the ticket, then I would request any evidence and information regarding the situation. I would carefully consider this, if unsure I'd request additional opinions from someone uninvolved with the faction/friend. If I came to an understanding that the person the ticket was made against had broken the rules, I'd look into their history of bans and notes before giving them a punishment based on the actions committed and their history.

Since I've started playing the server I've basically always wanted to host and create GM events to create more things to do on the server for the community. As of recent I've noticed UA has been looking to make GM events more motivated to keep GM events fun RP wise and I believe if given the opportunity I would excel greatly within the position of Gamemaster. My other reason is again community based, I want people on the server to actually have fun and not have any poor experiences with staff this might be biased but I believe in my past I was a good unbiased member of staff, yes I wasn't perfect at points but I tried my best to provide the best experience possible. What do you do?: I would let the Senior Admin+ know about the abuse with clips for proof of it. Does it constitute possible bias?: I would deal with the sit as I would normally if they have recent notes about the same thing I would ban them, if they didn't have recent notes or no notes at all I would just give them a note. If I punished him differently (not noting/banning them for example) then if I didn't know him that would be completely biased. I would also call for a different staff if the reporting player wants a different one because of suspicion of bias.

Hello! To go by your appeal point by point. First, when PKs are sent to staff they are OOC. What causes the PK and what comes after are all valid in RP. The sit itself and the report are OOC and are not affected by NLR. Under the logic you try to argue people wouldn’t be able to report RDM because they don’t remember it due to NLR. Second, the officer shooting was not him starting the violent confrontation. You pulling your weapon out and aiming it at the officer arresting you started the violent confrontation. He was quicker to the draw than you, doesn’t mean you weren’t violent first. Your appeal has been reviewed and denied. We have determined this PK to be reasonable and/or justified. This is a two parter. First of all, after recent events it has been discussed that police should in some way alert people to their presence during a raid. Currently you cannot bind a /y to doorkick because doorkick is also a say command and you cannot bind two say commands Bind key "say /doorkick;say /y POLICE PUT YOUR HANDS UP WE ARE COMING IN" is not possible. Recoding /doorkick to be a console command (or adding an additional command so /doorkick can still be used) seems like an obvious solution to make all parties in this debate happy. Second part. Add an audible door breaking sound to a successful doorkick that can be heard through walls. Not sure how possible this is, maybe a /me would also suffice but again the noise and /me after the doorkick would be nice.
